We enjoyed the views from the outside and walking around the exterior of the Castle but the inside is very odd. It's not expensive but, there isn't much to see, it's all spread out inside so there's lots of walking and stairs and the architecture isn't very interesting. For some it might appeal but, we weren't very impressed.

We went and did the tour and really enjoyed it. We booked at the start of our trip online for later in the week. You can also go to the booking office 15 mins before the tour times and buy leftover tickets but these do sell out so, I'd recommend booking in advance online. Our tour guide was really friendly and engaging, telling us lots about the history of the building and answering any questions. We had a group of about 20 which was a good size. The tour took about 45 minutes.

I think this was the only fountain in the whole of Vienna that was switched on! We went in March and expected them all to be on but, in all the Palace gardens they will unfortuntately empty. We enjoyed sitting and watching this one in the sun for a while. We also saw a rainbow over the water!

An interesting place to include on a trip to Vienna. Reasonable price, we probably stayed for half an hour walking around and looking at the various species of butterly and enjoying the plants and waterfalls. It was very hot, even in March when it was only 15c outside. There were hundreds of butterflies flying around. Some were sadly dead, not sure if this was because they don't live long or from people but, it could be upsetting for young children. Overall we enjoyed our visit. There's a free cloakroom and rest room as well.

We had seen this place in a YouTube video and wanted to try it during our visit to Vienna. It was busy when we want but we managed to find a table, then order at the bar. They had my favourite lemonade and my partner enjoyed his draft beer. We ordered some loaded fries to share - I asked the server for their recommendation and we enjoyed them. I'm vegetarian and asked for the XO cheeseburger but with the mushroom rather than meat and they kindly made that for me. It took a little longer than expected for the food to come but since they were really busy, this is understandable and it was very tasty and hot when it came so we didn't mind waiting and chatting. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Worth a visit if you're in Vienna!
