I have been to this place many times.
From spontaneous date nights with my partner after working in the city to large gatherings with friends and last night for my partners birthday celebration.
It’s always great food and very accommodating. Larger bookings I usually book ahead and there is never any problems if anyone cancels (as we know people do last minute these days) or if someone wants to bring a plus 1 it’s no stress.
I’m a vegetarian and it’s always the best because every one of all fussy eating habits will find something they love.

wasn’t even at the phoenix restaurant for more than 40 minutes due to rude customer service, food was not edible due to it being cold. the crispy calamari that we ordered was extremely rubbery and soggy. the pork was cold, not freshly made and sickly. DEFINITELY NOT worth the $61 that we had payed for 4 dishes that were all equally not edible. must have to say that some of the trollies that are supposed to come and serve will not bother to stop for us and ask what we had wanted. HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED. worst yum cha experience ever.

Kung Pao chicken’s too salty. Chicken and corn soup was amazing, tho. However, a really good price overall, super cheap with huge portions as well, so can’t complain!

Best hot pot I’ve had in Australia by far! The staff were really friendly and very nice. I believe the manager or owner was there as well and she was very attentive, checked on the patrons and staff! They had a hot pot for one which was perfect, because I was a solo. It typically comes with meat selections, but I was able to customize it fully vegetarian. They had a great selection of sauces. They were playing some fun pop tunes as well. 10/10!!

This place is the real deal. Absolutely fantastic fresh food, fun and friendly service. Outstanding menu as well. The hot and numbing beef is unforgettable

highly recommend !! Ken provides us with friendly and excellent service. The hot pot at this place has a delicious flavor. My husband and I come here every week, as it has become our favorite restaurant.

Dumpling world is on the top of my go-to list when eating out. The stir fried rice noodles with beef was recommended by a friend from Hongkong. I definitely appreciate the recommendation!

Probably the most delicious dumplings in tassie. Having tried almost everywhere and I will always have dumplings here. It was a bonus to have dumplings mix with different flavors. The base was burnt a little bit but I actually quite liked the extra crispy crust.

Always my go-to place for lunch on work days. No fuss and delicious meals. The seafood laksa noodles was my favorite but recently started to have the chicken satay instead. Love the taste!

Cute Chinese restaurant we encountered on our trip. I loved the satay prawns dish we ordered! I was so surprised as it was even yummier than the dish we tried in Malaysia. The fried rice was delicious but not as impressive as the satay prawn.

A quick lunch I grabbed at Dumpling World. The special fried rice is quite delicious and a good portion, too. Also had the pan fried dumplings as an entree and my partner couldn’t stop having them one after another. Will definitely come back!!

The place to be if you’re looking for a late night feed and it is closed everywhere else.
Great authentic, no-frills Cantonese cuisine in Chinatown. You wouldn’t normally associate great service with many Asian restaurants but these guys really go against the grain. Service was very attentive and top-notch. $35 minimum spend per person.

This place is massive. 4 times of the average food court. We had half an hour eating in yumcha, I was completely shocked to pay $165.5 for 2 adults and 1 seven year old child!! The service was too pushy, the ladies wheeling the trolleys constantly asking you do you want this ? Coogee? Dumplings? You don’t get a good think about or enjoy your food! Feeling harassed . There is no price menu for yumcha, the food price is completely hidden , as a customer you don’t know the price tag but only the owner knows , they use different symbols to price tag the food you ordered. They have a dining menu in their website but it’s completely irrelevant from what they offering. Is this type of dining legal in Australia?

Is this traditional pan fried dumpling? cuz I had been to many Chinese restaurants and everywhere it was same but this one. It wasn’t bad though. Food was average, good dine in space & average service. Overall, it was an ‘ok’ experience.

Food was absolutely delicious and the staff was super helpful and friendly. They were really understanding as it was our first time trying hotpot and they explained the best way to cook the food. The staff was extremely understanding with my food allergies (peanuts) and assisting me with what I could and couldn’t eat. Overall I’m super impressed. $110 for me and my partner, 3 different meats, instant noodles, bacon, enoki mushrooms and 2 drinks each.

Yum Cha done well! We have eaten here many times and the food is always good. Love the scallop dumplings. Had the pippies today for the first time and they were delicious in black bean sauce. We will definitely go back!

Sorry no pics, except for fruit, was too busy eating. We had fried rice, beans, eggplant and morning glory. The food was on point Chinese food. Kept it traditional and tasty. The restaurant was clean and nicely presented. The best part was the efficiency of the service. Very prompt and very attentive. I’m looking forward to the next visit as I would like to come back and try the Yum Cha.

We came here on a whim after a movie and glad we did. We got the 2nd last table and the friendly server saw that we were struggling with the confusing huge menu so he helped us out with how to order. The food was all fresh and presented nicely, like going to a local farmers market lol. We ordered the mushroom medley, the lamb and beef, the variety of veggies, quail eggs, tofu, dumplings, 1 bowl of white rice and some noodles and it was more than enough food for 3 people. The broth had good flavor, we got two kinds, be careful with the spicy broth, because we ordered a number 2 and 2 and it was plenty spicy for us and we love spicy food. You choose your own sauces and condiments which was nice. A fun experience and better tasting than the one we had in Seattle a few years ago, which was the last hot pot place we went to.

Came here for an early dinner and placed in an order for Wonton Noodles Soup, Singapore Noodles, Pork Boiled Dumplings, Potato Prawns, and Crispy Prawn Dumplings.
We sat down, and the male at the cashier instructed us to take the menu and sit anywhere. I was taken aback by the seating area. It felt dirty, and there was a smell when we sat down.
I went to order, and the guy taking the order was quite rude and kept interrupting me when I was trying to order.
The food, on the other hand, was a bit better. The boiled dumplings were delicious, and so were the potato prawns and crisp Prawn Dumpling.
Whereas the Wonton noodle soup was a big disappointment. I originally wanted the Beef Noodle Soup, but they didn't have it, and so I ordered the Wonton Noodle Soup. The noodles were ok, and the Wonton tasted a little like durian for some reason. The Singapore Noodles were alright as well, not much taste to it besides the spiciness.
Overall, the price for all of it was on the lower side. Food was alright, but the place was a little dirty for me, and the server was a little rude.

If you’re nostalgic for 70’s style underwhelming sweet food with lots of onions and capsicum …. This is the place…. Wait staff are mix of polite and bored… one spoiled soy sauce on a guest at the table and just walked away.

Just the best Cantonese. Can’t say any dish was below average… everything was just perfect. My compliments to the chef … this was my 5th or 6th visit and I have to travel 1 hour in train to get there but it’s worth the time and money. Do try the chili prawn… it’s mouth watering just to even name the dish … absolutely fabulous.

"Elegant Chinese setting" We have ordered $75 pp banquet for our group of 14 and food variety and tastes were good especially the Mongolian beef and steamed (Barramundi) fish. The mud crab however was mostly shells with little messy meat to chew on. However the serving waiter was very rude and almost threw serving plates on to our table - he may had problem with his boss or wife ...??. So we have complained to the manager and got "better" waiter soon after. The ambience setting is quite elegant, clean and recommendable for large functions.

Absolutely loved this place!! I've never had hot pot before and this was my first experience and yummmm loved everything. Loved the variety of choices, loved the service, loved how interactive the experience was, the price is decent but you can order a few things without going over board and still be able to enjoy the food. Had so much fun it was amazing. Would come back here again <3

We’ve been going to this restaurant for over 10 years and it’s a family favourite. Delicious Chinese food and they have perfected many western favourites. Not only that; but the service is excellent and so friendly - our server tonight Norman was fantastic and made our night even more special. We just keep coming back!
Make sure that you book well in advance and try to come either on a weekday, or early on the weekend so that it’s less busy. I’d recommend this restaurant for families wanting to try a classic Chinese restaurant for dinner. P.S. very kid friendly!

I wasn't happy to have a condition of entry spending $35 per person just to dine here. How ridiculous.
The service was fast. Food came quick except the dimsum. That ended up coming last!
Overall dining experience was great. Food was good. I've dined here in the past and it was much tastier.

A casual HK eatery, that I usually come for supper or after a late night out. The congee is cooked well. Also recommend the XO Oysters with vermicelli and curry fish balls. The Salt and Pepper Squid probably a bit too over seasoned. All in all, worth a visit and probably one of the better Chinese restaurants that are still opened late at night. The only thing is there is a minimum charge per person, otherwise the food is worth the visit. 😋

Interesting experience, really enjoyed the food. As first experience would have liked an explanation on the process. The app was difficult to navigate. No wheel chair parking.

A place in Sydney that gives you a feed after 10pm. The service is fast and efficient. There are great choices for vegetarians as well. And the food was excellent. Very happy with everything. Definitely recommend.

Hit China town last night and randomly picked In the Jin Hot Pot. BYO.
Neither of us had been to a dining experience like this so after a lot of questions to our server about how it all works, menu item descriptions (which they don’t have and is tricky when you’ve never had a hot pot before), and how to order.
They have an online ordering system via QR code at the table which doesn’t even have the complete menu item, hence the difficulty in knowing what to order.
Once we ordered and everything was brought out, that’s where the fun begins.
We had the four flavour hot pot, beef, chicken, prawns, pork, bok choy, corn, 2 types of noodles and seasonal vegetables.
The theatrics of cooking it yourself is good fun but after a while the novelty did wear off. I think if we knew what we were doing it would be a different story.
Regardless, the venue is gorgeous. The boots are intimate and spacious. The food was fresh and delicious - a lot of it too, and the staff were friendly and tolerant of our constant questions lol

This place has a wide variety of dishes which are nice. However the duck in the Peking duck bar was cold and the crispy roast pork crackle was not crispy bit chewy, as it was microwaved and not fresh. The dim sim and crab soup was delicious! They also have card surcharge and interesting dine in conditions such as minimum spend $35 per person for dinning in.

I love the interior design, feels like gone into a Chinese traditional old alley. Food presentation was great, and flavour was also stimulates your saliva.
Only downside was no air con when we had our meal that day. A bit uncomfortable having hot pot in a hot day.

This Chinese restaurant is located in Rhodes Waterside. The escalators to the restaurant are located near the Reading Cinemas.
The staff are friendly and the service is excellent, however it can get very busy at lunchtime on the weekends.
I went on Sunday, but I made a booking for 10:30am so I didn't have to wait too long in the line.
The restaurant have toilet facilities and there are separate function rooms for large groups.
The Yum Cha is very good here. It'll probably cost around $25 a head.
Best to book as the restaurant very popular, especially on the weekends.
