Farbod, Hunter and Shannon were fantastic. Bought my first salt water set up and they spent the time to walk me through it all.

They really highlight the importance of a Local Fish Shop and the knowledge they have is unmatched.

Appreciate the time the team spent with me.

I will update with pictures and more details once delivery install is completed etc.
I have been here a number of times in the last month. Once i bought some fish, the others I waited, waited looked for staff, but the few i could find were busy. Today there was literally ONE person there. So again I walked out. This store is woefully understaffed!!
Such a great experience today visiting this nursery, it has such a nice feel about it, only one on GC that had the Ixora I was after and was the best price around, Katrina was absolutely lovely and so helpful in helping me get the plants too and offer advice. Highly recommended, will be coming here first for all future plant needs.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff with a huge selection of aquarium products. The indoor plant section was a surprise to see but a great addition.

Will be visiting again for sure!
Owner is rude, aggressive and abusive. Went with my elderly 83 year old father and uncle. The owner clearly has some serious anger and aggression issues. Left with nothing after putting down the plants we were going to purchase after his ranting and raving. Will never go back. Place is unkept and many plants do not look healthy. Disgusting behaviour towards customers.

I live 3 streets away and they couldn’t stay open at 2 when they close at 3 for me to stop buy and buy trees for my new house. Why have a nursery that’s open half the day and only a few days a week.

First time here today…and I’ll be back!

Great atmosphere and playlist, indoor or outdoor seating, bathroom on site, warm, friendly and thoughtful service from the team of two - nothing was a trouble - and my Rainbow Wrap delicious and very generous in size.

And as important - coffee excellent(I had two)!

Breakfast out in this inner city location (border Fortitude Valley/New Farm right on the 199 bus route City/New Farm Ferry) is such a different experience to going out for Brekky in the coastal location where I live, and I really enjoyed the change.

Many thanks Cafe On team. See you next time!
Such a gorgeous spot! I for years had been buying plants and pots from TBN and knew that’s where I wanted to get married! So simple and easy (plants are the decor) the team were so sweet and easy to communicate with throughout the planning stages and could not be more in love with it all! Would definitely recommend hosting events with them!
The fish selection at this location is amazing; we got four Black Widow Tetras and two Santa Claus Swordtails, all of which are healthy and vibrant.
The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, sharing many interesting facts. This has become my go-to spot for aquarium needs.

It’s takeaway food quality. Suits students. If you’re expecting great coffee & food, this is not it. Staff are fruendly, though
The team at Auburn Aquarium know their stuff. Always knowledgeable and always going the extra mile. I’ve been going to this store for about 20 years and always been looked after well. It changed hands a few years ago and the new team have lived up to the same quality of service and knowledge as the previous owners. Highly recommended.
I visited the nursery with my daughter today. I walked up to the lady and man and asked where I would find tropical plants and explained that I had a large garden and needed to fill some gaps. The old man started ranting about how they used to sell $1 and $2 plants and that they never made any money from it. It was no relevance to me at all. I asked them if they were closing down as it looked like the place was shutting down. The man was so rude and saying how the place never makes any money and he shouldn’t talk to people. He acted like he was bipolar. He was extremely angry and rude. The lady was not helpful at all and just stood there listening to the man carrying on.
After listening to him rant in an aggressive manner I said I’m not here to argue with you and I then said ok thanks guys. He then said to me you’re going to leave and not buy anything and I said yep he then started yelling at me to never come back. I walked out with my daughter very shaken up and in complete disbelief at what happened. I actually felt very intimidated. I would definitely not recommend this place at all.
Visited this nursery today, they have a lot of plants, mostly specialised and bonsai, not much in the native's department, it is quite over-run with weeds and unkept in areas but the prices seem pretty good. I was thinking about buying some plants until I talked to the short nurseryman, who is obviously and unfortunately a deeply unhappy and angry person. After asking how large I might expect a certain lily pilly to grow he said it was the hardest question to answer, he ranted for a bit implying it was a stupid question, became aggressive, asked me how long a piece of string is and suggested I should tell him how big it will grow. I replied that I'm not interested in a confrontation over a lily pilly and said I'm leaving. He blocked my exit, I asked him to get out of my way and then he started hurling abuse at me as I was walking out, throwing the 'F' bomb and telling me not to come back (as if that were necessary!). If you visit this nursery (which I do not recommend), avoid talking to the surly older greenthumb chappy, he is not cut out for customer service and it will ruin your 'plant' experience.

I imagined 'the big cheese bagel' a bit differently. I can't complain about the amount of cheese, but I expected it to be melted, not cold. Additionally, it seemed like it was torn apart rather than cut (hopefully not bitten), and there was just a big piece of it in the middle of a very dry bagel. However, the coffee and service were good
This was my go to place for cheap plants but today the owner went after me for backing up and parking in a no parking zone to load my car with his plants after spending my money.

I thought he was joking when he asked me to read his no parking sign. I laughed and said you are joking right. He wasn’t joking. I was the only other person on the property other than him, his wife and the cat.

He was ranting and raving about Bunnings and parking at Bunnings and wanted to refund my money but I wanted my plants. I had to tell him to F off and leave me alone. He was way out of line. He said I should not come back but I had already decided that I won’t come back.

Don’t go here, don’t do business with crazy people who chase good customers away.
Everything you need for a tropical garden. Lots of well established and healthy plants

Headed here for breakfast due to the good reviews online as it's a short walk from Hotel X.

Really impressed as the service, food and especially the coffee was good so they deserve the 5 stars.

We wanted rustic and local and they have that in spades and are obviously foodies so the results are tasty as.

Thanks team Cafe On

I first used this nursery to plant my garden about 15 years ago. I've just recently bought a new project that requires a lot of planting so I made a special trip to see what they have. I can't express how disappointed I was. The place is overrun with weeds and the variety is fairly limited, especially considering the size of the place. Some of the stock looks good but I'd say about 40% of it is struggling. They have got hundreds of bonsai trees which are of no use to a gardener.

Nonetheless, I was planning out what I needed and approached the older female to ask for some specific items. She was extremely abrupt and offered no service besides pointing in a direction with the water hose she was using.

I decided to ask the older guy for help next and that was a disaster. His replies were actually hostile. I was reading the notes on my phone and I'm not sure if this offended him but he kept saying things like "anything you find in there we are not going to have, we're not Bunnings".

I was the only customer in the whole nursery and they treated me like dirt. I left and sadly I'll never bother going back here.

I've since then read the reviews on this place and I can see it's a common complaint. The photos online are 4 years old and it's a totally different picture now. Buyer be aware at this place, brace yourself for some appalling service and potentially some blatant hostility. I didn't see a younger person working there that day but from other reviews it seems like that's a better bet if you have a question.

I can't verify this but after speaking to some locals in Mudgeeraba Legend has it that the nursery was started many years ago and the old owner has retired. The family owns a lot of land in the valley and they have been here for 3 generations. The place is now managed by their adult children who have no passion or interest for their industry despite working there their whole lives. They seem to hate it and detest dealing with customers. They have never had to start, grow or improve on the operation and from general appearances, it looks like it's in decline. It's such a shame that the legacy of this place is being destroyed.

There is another nursery a little further up the road. I'd save yourself the trauma and just skip this one.
Great prices lots to choose from

The best brunch in New farm. My partner and I really enjoyed the sandwich and coffee, and the lovely clerk was always very friendly to us. Enjoy balcony seating.
Would love to give a 5stars here. The plants are fantastic. Highly recommended for the plants. Unfortunately the two times we have been there the service has been a little underwhelming. At payment there’s not even a “thank you” at the end of the transaction

Having purchased several plants from Pauls plants I definetly recommend them. They really know horticulture and provide great advice.
Edge Elanora is a wonderful center with big classrooms and outdoor play. The educators take great care and effort to create a fun and engaging environment for our kids. We will miss Edge when we move to (Big School) next year.

Went to their website... which says absolutely nothing about what actual plants, trees, veges, herbs etc. they sell. No brand info, no prices. Hopefully you see this review and do something as there are plenty of other places that are more transparent to buy from.
Edge Elanora is a fantastic centre. They made my daughters transition to daycare so stress free. The educators are so passionate about their work and have built great relationships with all of the children. Love coming here!

A friend of mine turned me on to this nursery. If you're looking for HEALTHY plants at a good price then this is the place you need to visit. You won't be disappointed. Plus the staff are great and super helpful.
Just had the most wonderful experience at the Barellan Nursery. The team were extremely helpful and prices were very affordable. Thank you for your time 👍🏼
Our youngest attends this centre and can't rate it highly enough!
Educators treat the children like their own, growing authentic relationships with everyone. Also a great community feel. We will be safe to say goodbye next year when our son moves to prep!
Amazing childcare. Kylie and the wonderful teachers provide me with so peace of mind knowing my two kids are in such good hands. Kylie is so responsive to any enquires and all staff are so approachable, loving and caring. I can’t recommend highly enough.
Kylie and her team are doing a wonderful job here at this centre. There is a holistic approach in the learning and my child enjoys going to kindy here everyday. I also love that Kylie and the educators are very responsive to my queries and they communicate effectively with me. These past two years of nurturing and educating my child here at this centre have been precious and wonderfully supported. Thanks Elanora Edge!
My daughter has been to Edge for the past
two years, and just loves it. Kylie, Bruna, Annette, Renee and all the team of teachers are excellent, creative and all the time they have a nice smile on their faces, the center is really well set up. Highly recommend 👍👍
An amazing experience so quiet and peaceful and definitely recommend checking the market out too
Always good quality stock here and even though I'm from the northern beaches the drive is worth it. The guys hooked me yesterday and pretty happy with the new Cichlid tank.
Great range and knowledgeable team. I only have a tiny set up but I love it. Picked up some great plants and a snail. What was the best was the advice I was given on managing the environment in the tank. Very grateful for this. I had allowed algae to proliferate so the photo of my tank is missing driftwood whilst I divest them of the algae that was covering them. I spent about $64 on plants, $7.00 on a snail and $35 on a product to manage algae moving forward.
Incredible range, service and advice for setting the home with wonderful quality plants that bring the right feeling for your garden, home & workplace.
It’s been a year of enjoying our plants & pots which we can’t be more thankful for.

It is a cute little cafe attached to an old house on a street corner. We were welcomed by the friendly staff at the counter. They had a little souvenir/handmade shop too, I bought a little brooch as a gift for a friend. The burger was quite good and the doritos chips was a cute touch. My hubby had the vegan fruits bowl with coconut yoghurt and he was happy with it too. Price is similar to other small cafes. Over all it was a nice lunch.
Great little place. Lots of beautiful flowers and plants. Butterflies were lovely. Place isn't very big. We had a private booking so we got the place to ourselves for about an hour. It was very very slippery!!!! Wouldn't pay for a private session again - too expensive and not worth the amount we paid but it was very educational and the lady at the desk was lovely.
What a pleasure spending some time in The Borrowed nursery on the Gold Coast. The owner is dedicated to her business and I even ran into her out and about and she remembered me and the plants I purchased. The place had such a nice vibe and I would love to organise and arrange for my small business to take photos there as the set up is incredible. Small business supporting small business!
Amazing store (nursery). We have purchased numerous plant and pots , bits and bobs over the years! The team there are always helpful and helped us select and style. Highly recommend to get in there. Also visited the Melbourne store also and was the same experience!

I have been buying my plans from Paul’s Plants for 10 years and recommend them to everyone.

The plants are half the price of Bunnings and much healthier. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful.
The Gold Coast Butterfly House is an incredibly unique place to visit with a passionate and friendly owner and beautiful butterfly’s and garden.

We visit often with my 4 year old daughter and depending upon how busy it is, time of day and time of year she is able to feed a butterfly or two.

There are always beautiful butterfly’s and an extensive education section. Often you can see butterfly’s laying eggs and even hatching.

Definitely worth a visit if you are visiting Carrara Markets on a weekend.
My daughter has been at Edge for the past 2 years, and just loves it. Kylie & the team of educators are excellent & the centre is really well set up. Highly recommend!
Have used Matt and his team from Barellan Nursery and Scape-It Landscaping on several projects and always impressed with the quality of plants, creativity of design and the professionalism of all the team. Can't recommend highly enough!
I have loved edge early learning ever since we changed kindys three years ago, however, Kylie becoming director has made that daycare just so much better. She is amazing and everyday has a smile and a chat with everyone that comes in. Also special shout-out to Miss Belle who is amazing and my son will miss every much.
Thankyou edge, we will miss you guys at “big school” xxxx

Great quality and price for all their products. Staff are always helpful and if you require something specific, they will try and get it in for you. No rip off's here.
4.1 - Surprised at the amount of different Tanks and Fish displayed in this shop - they even have some empty tanks and a plant area!! The plants are rather expensive but it was nice to have a look but I just loved looking at all the different fish. I sent some prices to a friend who has huge fish tanks. It is apparently expensive though!

Firstly ,it’s quite small and not many butterflies.
Secondly , teenage kids and adults are touching the butterflies yet my 4 year old got yelled at and was too scared to do anything after that.
Thirdly, no activities or educational stuff , we can just watch in our own garden.

Visited this place over Easter! The staff was happy to answer questions. Reasonable ticket price. A good option to keep your little ones occupied for 15-20 mins. Also located alongside 100+ shops in Carrara Markets. More varieties of Butterfly would make the place more interesting. Thank you
Thankyou Claudette for all of your advice and help in choosing the right plants for my salon.
I went in to the borrowed nursery at Mermaid Beach and met Claudette who advised me on what plants will suit my needs. My salon has very different climates from the front to the back and I learnt that I need different plants for the different areas. Claudette helped me choose clusters of plants that will thrive in the different areas and suit the style we have.
After already receiving great service it's topped off by prompt delivery to the salon and a message with how to care for each plant to help them live their best life!
Highly recommend xx
Spent a couple of hours with my daughter creating terracotta pots of succulents. Liam made it interesting and we learnt heaps as well he made it super fun. We were able to pick from the huge range of succulents from the nursery for our pots. What a great way to spend an afternoon.
Lovely place to visit. Beautiful butterflies.
Lots of stock with advanced plants natives, succulents and ferns.
Popped in to check it out and was impressed by the friendly staff and of course as a Bonsai fan I was blown away by the large, mature, exhibit pieces and the great range of starters and partly mature trees. If you're looking for imported and larger pots, they've got you covered too. I can't wait for my next visit but might call ahead to check what stock is in. It is October 2021 as I write this and supply chains seem to be causing long delays.
I hired out this venue for my birthday, and they were truly amazing! If I could give them 6 stars I would gladly do so. They were flexible when I had to reschedule because of covid, the staff (in particular Jess), helped set up the venue as well as help clean up. They were happy to help us in any way and were absolutely lovely. Thank you so much! I would recommend this for anyone, and it is a beautiful location!

Hands down one great Nursery. Staff are super helpful and extremely knowledgeable. The quality and the quantity available is worth the visit.
Building a new house is super stressful, but atleast we were lucky enough to have our land scaping done by Barrellan Nursery, everything was quick and easy, from start to finish. Amazing customer service from the owner, from their admin staff, and from their ground staff! Don't waste your time with anyone else. Very happy with their work.
Great nursery! Quality plants at reasonable prices. We bought some for our gardens and they're all thriving
PLANTS
Good varity of plants, native, floral, bush and landcaping.

SERVICE
Down to earth staff, that inform you of the facts. They waited for customers to leave before popping on the sprinkler, that was good.

OVERALL
Good fair prices
Plants healthy and cared for
We created and held an awesome planning day workshop for our team today and held it at The Borrowed Nursery! Amazing space to collaborate in worn beautiful plants and great break out areas! Can’t thank the girls enough for over delivering and being super accommodating!
Highly recommended and will definitely be back to buy your amazing plants! Thanks a bunch x
Currently my favourite store in the world - I just LOVE every single item in there. So much so, that I ask my family to purchase vouchers for me, so I'm forced to make the trip from Brisbane to add to my collection.
We've been following The Borrowed Nursery on Instagram for quite some time and it lived up to our expectations. The space at Mermaid Beach includes a curated collection of pots, baskets, giftware, dried flowers and plants.

The layout and visual merchandising is impeccable. Next time will come without Evie so can spend more time looked at the beautiful goodies in this space.

We will be back on our next visit to the coast.

Wonderful staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. Great variety of plants.
Charged $300 to deliver a big tree (said they would have 3 men) then only arrived with 1 guy who couldn't do the job. Was very rude about it. We spent a couple of grand there on plants. No repeat business.
The $100 bamboo I bought died within weeks. Also all of the palms I bought. I sent through photos of this and the wind was blamed and no responsibility taken from the staff that told me plants would thrive in the surrounding area of coomera. Spent around $500 and %40 of plants died within weeks.
