There’s no shortage of ice cream shops around Brunswick and Smith Streets and I intend on trying them all. At C9 I had a salted caramel thickshake for $13 and while it was nicely served in a hipster jar, there was nothing to really set it apart from the competition.
I recently visited C9 Chocolate & Gelato and had an absolutely delightful experience! The ice cream was incredibly tasty, with a rich and creamy texture that left me wanting more. The variety of flavors was impressive, and each one I tried was better than the last.
What truly stood out, however, was the excellent customer service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that every customer had a perfect experience. From helping with flavor recommendations to serving with a smile, their service was top-notch.
If you’re looking for a place with delicious ice cream and outstanding service, I highly recommend C9 Chocolate & Gelato. It’s a must-visit for any dessert lover

C9 in Fitzroy definitely do desserts right! Great pricing for what you order and all around a great dessert place. Unfortunately the site does not have toilets so that was a bit of a let down. Other than that again a great place for dessert
No where near as great as it used to be, most disappointed. Haven't been for quite a few years, decided to have a nostalgia trip, but won't bother again. People used to queue for the delicious pies and pasties, there may still be queues, but not for the hot pastries, I'm sure ☹️
Highly recommend. We were on the hunt for an ice cream cake for a special celebration. The team here worked so hard to understand what we were after. They even jumped on a video call to show me the colours and flavours, and were very patient while we figured it all out. They ended up making it so easy and wonderful, we actually ended up ordering 2!! You can get the ice cream cakes personalised both in flavours and decoration and they went above and beyond to make it special and with such care. The recipient loved them and they were such a hit at the party. Delicious too!
This Bakery is Amazing, Nicole who served myself and my daughter, made this beautiful cuppachino for me and she was so nice, polite, and her customer service was excellent. The fruit bread rolls was so fresh and tasty very yummy. It is wonderful to go in a bakery and get good food and very good coffee.

I recently visited Shingle Inn Doncaster and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a break. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

I walked in here looking to cram some food in in a hurry. I asked for the goodness bowl and a cappuccino because frankly I didn't have time to read the menu and I was pleasantly surprised.
The bowl was two poached eggs with a spinach based salad. Eggs were just runny enough for my tastes and the salad was fresh.
Most importantly I got my food in like 5 minutes which is mighty impressive these days. I noticed the place was well staffed and the they weren't overwhelmed and they treated customers nicely.
I'm gonna be coming here every time I pass through.

The best vanilla slice I’ve ever had, and the children gave their kranskies and cinnamon donuts a 10/10.

One of the best Matcha latte from art and test in Doncaster shopping centre.

Amazing patisserie, nice and friendly staff. Every time I told myself to only buy 1-2 but ends up buying 5-6 cause everything looks soo delicious! And they all are!
I’ve been looking for a dessert place that has more than just ice cream and I’m so happy I found one! Prices were very reasonable and the presentation of everything 10/10. The Lava Cake Shake with the nutella syringe was to die for- I love the fact you can select your own gelato flavour to add to the shake too. Would definitely be visiting again
One of the best bakeries and pastry shops in Adelaide. The Shop is located on McGill Road. I've tried the sourdough and French baguette and couple of pastries. I just loved the taste of sourdough and the baguette and the pastries are decent, flaky and buttery. The staff are supper friendly and professional and they making all the pastries and the breads in-house from the scratch. This is one of my favourite locations to buy fresh bread in mornings. Well done to the team.

The wait for food was over an hour, I'm not sure what happened today, but the place got really crowded and hardly anyone had food at their table.
The gentleman making the coffee is really friendly and helpful. The food here is good, I had the granola bowl which the house made granola and yoghurt was very nice, the fruit was fresh. The Shakshuka bowl was not what I expected, it was basically like a tomato soup with some wilted spinach and two poached eggs swimming inside. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo as we were in a rush. Overall the experience was OK, perhaps they need more staff in there to help manage the demand and improve the service.

The portion sizes of food served are not reflective of the price of food. I ordered the prawn omelette today and was sorely disappointed that only one piece of toast was provided with the meal instead of two slices.
the atmosphere of this cafe is very calm and gives off academia vibes. the food was probably the best i’ve had in a very long time and the workers are very nice and approachable. the menu ranges from all sorts of things to your taste. 10/10
What a great discovery at Westfield Doncaster. Overall, my experience at Shingle Inn was nothing short of delightful. I bought a dozen mixed croissants for a family brunch today, and they were magnificent. Flaky and delicious!

Prove Patisserie delivers delightful croissants - almond and chocolate, though not Adelaide's best. However, their seeded sourdough loaf is exceptional, arguably the finest in town. Despite the absence of seating, the take-and-enjoy concept works well. A reliable go-to for quality; we'll be back for more, especially that superb seeded loaf!
Visiting Melbourne from Brisbane. Came across this delightful place. My mouth was watering just looking at the menu. We decided on the pancake stack, coated croffle, Choc milkshake and iced latte. All delicious!
Bit expensive for my tastes, but I'm not from Melbourne, so maybe these are normal prices around here.

Elva is amazing! sometimes they don't have skim milk available though.
Really good pastries. So buttery and flakey! There's also parking at the back of the building for those who are worried about parking :)

Continues to have great pastries with the new owner. Some new things are being tried, eg, the danishes have a clear jelly coating, which is a bit thick and so looks odd. There are some new products: a Nutella cream filled pastry, which has too much filling. If you like pastry cream you might love it. My kids were delighted initially, but then gave up on it and ate around the filling.

Fabulously massive breakfast choices with piles of bacon. The brekky wrap was great value for the size and super tasty. Coffee was ok, it wasn't burnt but the flavour was different than expected. Lovely staff and dining in was comfortable. Definitely great place for brekky or Sunday brunch.
Place was getting crowded when we reached at 11 to collect our pre ordered sourdough loaves. Saw the variety of beautiful pastries displayed and could not resist buying one - raspberry chocolate almond croissant! Resisted the temptation to eat it there and then which was a good call because I brought it home, fan forced it in the oven and that resulted in a truly flaky, buttery, gorgeously crusty croissant with melty chocolate and a hint of berry tartness all combined

Both were sensational, although the cronut was quite soft & dry compared to, say, the crunchy coating & warm buttery inner layers of the Dominique Ansel NY original.
The brownie was a little dry & crumbly on its own, compared to the fudge-y texture I’m familiar with, but tasted delicious mixed into the shake.
We’ll definitely be back for more!

The Best Croissants in Adelaide! These croissants are light and buttery while also being flakey and the right amount of chewy! Many other treats in store to try also but for me it’s a classic croissant every time. Make sure to phone ahead if you want some because they seem to sell out quick!
For me, Prove is best bakery in Adelaide serving up great bread, croissants and baked goods.(And yes I’ve tried all the other popular bakeries in Adelaide). Prove really understands their bread and dough.

Delicious Almond Croissant! Just opened so can be a line up. The buttery sweet smell hits you as you walk in. It’s not a cafe though, at this stage it’s take away only and no coffee. Some outdoor seating would be a welcome addition in future. Ham and Cheese are a special only and not a permanent menu item. Made fresh, still warm in hand! Highly recommended.
Bought a 21st birthday cake for my sons birthday dinner and was very happy with it! The prices are very reasonable, it was a lovely vanilla sponge with jam and cream, beautifully decorated and the writing was really nice. All of our guests were impressed and enjoyed eating it!
Not great croissants, sorry to say. You can get some excellent ones in Adelaide but sadly not here.
They were good a few years ago but have since changed owners and are definitely missing the special something that made them once very nice.

Ordered a coffee and a toastie on Uber Eat, but only received the coffee itself because the staff canceled my toastie order because the one I selected was out of stock without informing me or offering an alternative. So I paid the delivery fee just for the cofffee and it didnt taste good either!
I wouldn't mind more fusion breakfast options too. Fresh and good quality but doesn't stand out much. Coffee is pretty good, worth coming in just for the coffee. Had the filter brew and service was great. Small place though, best for 2-4 people
A very nice establishment in the middle of Oatley's main street. The food was delicious; fresh and perfectly balanced. Well worth dropping in for brunch.
My regular go-to place for coffee. Be it early hours or late nights, they never disappoint you.

Best croissants ever. So light and fluffy. When i arrived, everything were sold out apart from a few plain croissants and some custard ones. But I was desperately after a chocolate croissants. The guys at the counter offered me free chocolate sticks so I could enjoy them with a plain croissant. 😋

A local South East Asian café at Oatley area. We tried Hai Nan chicken chop and Malaysian beef burger last time, the chicken chop is really crunchy. This time we tried the satay chicken taco.
What a nice cafe with exquisite coffee. The blend is so sweet but smooth and creamy. All the great milks are available here too and I must say the barista knows what he's doing.

We ended up with the big brekkie as well as smashed avo on toast. Classic!

Though sitting outside is beautiful, they don’t provide any plates, so it’s not really a sit down place, it’s more like on the go.

Authentic and simple pastries. The almond croissant was sweet and nutty and the pain au chocolat had the perfect ratio of chocolate and pastry. Coffee was okay, but did not have alternative milk varieties. A local favourite, recommend visiting to just experience a simple and decent bakery!
Had an amazing brekkie burrito and the Kaya toast was superb and authentic too, reminds me so much of Malaysia!
