DO NOT GO HERE GOT MY GRANDMA BURIED AND SHE ROSE FROM THE DEAD AND KILLED MY DOG... THE NEIGHBOURHOOD OF NEWTOWN IS NO LONGER SAFE...beware
I had the pleasure today of dealing with Chris and Daniel (part of the garden maintenance team) and they were very accommodating and professional. The grounds are always looking lovely. I have several loved ones buried there, and the gardens and lawns are a credit to them and the team.
Visiting the old church and cemetery was like stepping back in time.⛪️
I'm so pleased we had my mum's funeral at Woronora. The Chapel is beautiful, the grounds are lovely, well maintained and so serene. Truly a lovely place to lay her to rest. Followed by a wake at The Cottage with Celeste catering. Everything was just lovely.
We recently attended the interment of my mother-in--law's ashes at Woronora Cemetery and our experience was outstanding. Our online and face-to-face contact with Maria Martinez in the office was always friendly, professional and easy. On Monday at the time of the interment, we were met by Mandy, who took us through the interment process with such professionalism, kindness and generosity, that we were both quite moved. She gave us plenty of time to say our last good-byes and we never had the sense that she had other duties to perform. She even thought to bring a small bunch of native flowers we could put by the plaque and rose petals to strew on the site. I'm sure she did all this well beyond the call of duty.. She is truly an angel and we hope that this review will be passed on.

I'd also like to send the gardeners at Woronora a big thank you! The cemetery looks wonderful, and I'm sure it's because of all the hard work they do behind the scenes so we can all enjoy the peace and beauty of this special place. Thank you so much.
Beautiful cemetery, there’s a lot of history here and grounds are well maintained and so many beautiful birds. There are some graves that are damaged due to age but those are not forgotten. I always make sure to pay my respects as I walk. I can understand why some people are frustrated about arranging a plot here, unfortunately land is scarce now in Sydney for burials. Just know wherever you choose will be sufficient and the best send off. I’ll always be appreciative of the hardworking staff here.
Easy to walk around but hard to find a grave.
A very pleasant place for your loved ones. Many thanks to the excellent service from Customer service during such delicate and sensitive time. I would love to mention by name Sarah F for her attention and advise Sarah gave me with uplifting the ashes of my Loved ones

This was @ nighttime so I couldn’t read the headstones - But apparently, there’s a role-call of famous names buried here.

Nevertheless, it’s still pretty spectacular.
Very clean and looked after cemetery… it is quiet, enabling quiet contemplation. Beautiful and green.
This is a very nice cemetery (located in the Sutherland Shire)
The Chapels are a reasonable size, there is plenty of parking available.
The cemetery roads are not very wide, but generally not busy, good for walking, cycling around. There are also nice “dedication / tributes” around to look at read

Boasting more goths per square metre than a Robert Smith concert the cemetery features big trees and creepy gravestones.

A mix of kept and unkept tombstones the cemetery is serene and historic. A lovely place to explore the history of Newtown or take a piss when the portaloos are full during the Newtown festival.

It has something for everyone.
Peaceful old cemetery, full of charm and character, with lush vegetation and crooked tombs. Perfect for a slow meditative walk before the hussle and bustle of nearby King Street.

Here lies a lot of stories which are forgotten. The stones are barley readable, because some are two hundred years old! It's a pretty place for photography, not that big, light is good and has a lot of atmosphere in this setting. Dogs are allowed to walk off leash.
The Camperdown cemetery is a tranquil oasis near the busy shopping and restaurants of Newtown. Once in the gates you hear only the breeze and feel as if you have discovered a forgotten place. Often you might have it all to yourself. Everything on its grounds shows a dignified age. It’s a great place to wander, sit and think, or make art. It’s a regular stop for me.
A peaceful place to lay someone to rest. Also a lovely place to walk and contemplate life. The flower gardens are particularly well maintained and beautiful. The crematorium and chapels are grand Art Deco.

Brings you back to 18th century Sydney...A must for any Newtown visitor.
This cemetery is tiny and dull, drive past it and go to the caves further down the dirt road
A cute little cemetery hidden behind a church on a hill. very nice
Logan City Council name for this cemetery is Plunkett Road Cemetery. It's a small family cemetery for the Curtis Family . This cemetery is set way back in the bush, can not be seen from road.
