Great bottle shop, friendly and helpful staff. I usually drop in to grab a beer on the way home from work and sometimes grab something special for occasions.

Nick is probably the most lovely person you will ever meet. He is welcoming, friendly and a beautiful part of the community.
A bit pricey for such tiny servings and moderately ok-tasting food. My friend and I split the smashed avocado on toast and banoffee crepe between us and for around ~ 30 AUD per head you'd think you'd get a bit more for breakfast. It was an ok meal overall, just wish the servers had been more attentive to our table.
Sharing this for the first time after countless of visits. Mostly here for dinner. Petition is an upscale casual restaurant located inside the State Building in Perth CBD. It has a nice vibe and very popular. They have the best Broccoli & mixed grain salad, ever! The last time we dined here, we ordered chargrilled octopus, beef rump, heirloom carrots salad, broccoli salad, lamb loin and a few others. We enjoyed the food as usual but I must say for the very first time that the lamb loin was a let down. The taste was just not right. I’m sure this will be fixed. I didn’t take any star off because I’ve been here many times. This doesn’t tarnish the restaurant’s reputation in my eyes. Definitely will return to dine for more.

I had a rather unpleasant experience with the Vintage Cellar Carlton recently. I wen to pick up the wines I ordered through their website (click & collect). The shop has no clear signage on which counter to pick up the online orders. I gave my ID to the staff and was asked if I am here to pick up Uber eat. What gives? After the initial confusion we eventually got what we came for. However, there was no basic greeting from the staff and he seemed rather annoyed the whole time. The wine was good but the experience in the shop left a bad taste in the mouth.
Stop using Drive Yellow as your delivery partner. They are extremely unreliable and never deliver. Issues every single time we order.

Superb evening at The Wine Corner. Rachel is an absolute superstar, friendly, accommodating and beyond helpful for a very large unorganised group. Hospitality was outstanding - whatever you are paying her it aint enough! The food and cheese were sensational as well as the variety of wines on offer. Make this your local.

My first visit to Petition, I had a late Saturday breakfast there. I had shakshuka and a long black coffee. I liked the atmosphere, the taste of the coffee, the warm bread that came with the meal and the dukkah on the egg yolk. Service was polite. A good first impression.
Very unhappy. Waited at BWS lygon court for ages for a staff member to return. Left and went to this BWS only to find this staff member had also left. Their sign said 7.45pm and it was past 8.30pm. What is going on with your staff!! You lost a lot of business as a result as many customers came and left
Enjoyable food in a nice atmosphere with attentive staff and quick service. Their menu seems to change regularly and they offer a wide range of meals, with our small selection being well prepared, at the table within 10 minutes of ordering and of amazing taste.
The only downside is that their breakfast menu ends around 10:30, but that is likely less of an issue for you than it was for us 😉

Very disgusting customer service by one individual, was very rude and ignorant. Accused me of stealing after I just purchased items and he couldn’t provide any evidence. I even gave him permission to pat me down. Putrid, didn’t even receive an apology.
Ordered 5 bottles of cabernet savignon on 25 May from Carlton BWS for a dinner tonight (Saturday). Go to open the first bottle to see I have been delivered Chardonnay...not a red in sight. Seriously poor and extremely disappointing!!!

Their "specials" are only for woolworths members. The rest of us have to pay full price. Absolutely disgraceful. Won't be back.

Is someone forcing employee to work there? I shop there at 7:51 pm got slab of corona. Guy in counter was soooo rude didn’t even speak a word at checkout too. BWS need to fix it. Not looking for any exceptional service as I myself work in customer service but just saying “hi” is basic
Very bad experience in customer service, by a guy looks like Asian Bangladeshi with glass have zero customer experiences need to teach him have got attitude problem while doing customer service. Need to be trained this staff.

I used Rathdowne Cellars for a corporate event, they were on time with the delivery and the collection of glasses the next day. Super friendly, affordable and easy to work with. The Highly Recommend!

Must of driven past this place 100 times before actually going inside. This place is very relaxed, nice selection of wines to choose from. Food was surprisingly superb, especially that chicken sando. Staff very friendly, all in all really good spot for a drink and a bite to eat!
I am doing my PhD nearby and invariably there are days where I have 14 hr experiments that end at midnight/1am. So to get through the day and make the experiments more bearable I need reward motivation beer! Enter Bottega Tasca. Great craft beers on hand and epic prices!

I was excited to check this place out, however that excitement quickly faded after being patronised by the owner. I asked him nicely if they serve any cocktails, to which he sarcastically said 'um no, we're a WINE bar.' Everyone at my table was taken aback by the delivery of his response, which was undoubtedly rude. They actually do serve negronis and beer so his piggish reply to me was totally unwarranted. For what it's worth, most wine bars in the area serve cocktails, not an unreasonable question for me to ask. Also, whenever my friend and I went inside to order another drink or pay, we had to wait for the staff to finish their chit chat amongst each other before being looked at. Felt like we were intruding on them. Won't be returning. Ghastly and overrated!

BWS Kogarah is small but well-stocked. There are good promotions and loyalty points for Woolies customers. Friendly service.

The team here are so knowledgeable. Regardless of what’s on tap they will take you through the subtleties of each drop, giggle with you on each delivery to the table and show their true (beautiful) colours. A delightful way to send out the year, thank you xxx

I’ve been a regular customer here for years. Just shown the guy who works there my bank statement detailing a double transaction for the same day, time and amount. His only response is “Oh I wasn’t here that day. Maybe come back another day”. No refund offered. No apology. Nothing. Just lost a customer for life.
Good and clean bws. Well located on lygon, though good luck finding a park nearby! Cool room is always stocked up and the staff there are helpful, though seem like they need a bit more sleep haha.

Is this the best wine store in Melbourne?! I vote yes. Impeccable service and knowledge, always keen to help you make a selection that is just right. Offering is fantastic, feels like every bottle has been diligently selected. Second to none in the city for German Riesling options. 10/10 from me!
Beautiful alcohol store to top up on my drinks. Matt who was working was fantastic and had a taste test of one of the champagnes they had.

Even though I didn't get the drink I was looking for, one of the staff helped me in purchasing an alternative. So the customer support was really nice.
Nice, quirky bar, with a cool shopfront decor. I was intrigued by the way they spell 'booze' as bws, lol. Good service at the start, but it was hard to get served after my first bottle of wine, they eventually told my boyfriend to escort me out. Weird. Fun night though
The best bottle shop. I buy most my booze here and only don't when it's not convenient. The guys that work here are the best. the knowledge and their understanding and section of wine is great. I dont ever want to go anywhere else. Also very competitive prices. highly recommended
As a local Google guide I was very impressed with the professional services of one of the workers named Peter. I have been in retail management for over 20 years and very rarely have I ever come across such caring and friendly professional customer service . Peter is an asset to the company and I hope he is and will be recognized as that. I will be a returning customer and so will my family and friends.

Excellent Service and extremely knowledgeable when inquiring about a suggested Italian Pinot Grigio, which proved to be an excellent choice. I'm a business owner myself and value great Customer Service and people going out of their way to understand your needs and assist. Fantastically curatored eclectic range at very reasonable prices. Shop here if you are sick of the big box wine offerings that all look alike and sell the same standardised rubbish.

I went into the store on the recommendation of a friend who knows his wine. Nick was very helpful in providing me with some good quality Italian Prosecco for a gathering at home. He took the time to discuss the wine and find out what we were pairing it with in order to suggest an Umberto Luigi at a reasonable price. Thanks Nick, my wife's fussy uncle was very happy with your choice!
Quick and easy service, staff are always willing to help and speedy checkout. Normal prices are slightly more expensive but if you grab one of their deals it's much more worth it.

Purchased a six pack of Carlton Draught from here last week and the beer was completely flat. Tasetd like urine, like it was ten years old or something. Very dissapointed.
These guys are great. Spoiled for choice & super helpful staff for when you need some advice. Small but good selection of beers and plenty of good bottles under $20. I've been an inner north resident for the last 10 years and this place would be my top pick for a bottle of wine.
