Great range of Asian snacks here - this taro sponge cake ($9.80) was very moist and the mochi was lovely and chewy but you can't really taste the taro.
Had a bad experience at this shop, I went to this shop with my own bag, but the cashier asked if she can check my bag while I was just paying for the stuff. Not sure if the owner setup the rules to assume a customer who carries with a bag is a potential thief, if that is the case please close the shop then, you won’t be bothered by bags. This place shows no respect to customers although they have good Asian grocery. Never come back.

I bought the items in other grocery store that this supermarket doesn't have. I opened the bag to show that the clerk still asked me to show my consumption record in other store. This is very rude behavior. I'm pretty sure there's nothing of the same brand on sale in this supermarket. However, after the explanation, the clerk was still asked to open the bank transaction record in a strong and uncomfortable tone. The whole process was stared at with suspicious eyes, really did not buy things like this.

I recently visited Zetciti Rhodes and had an amazing experience! The store is clean, well-organized, and the staff is extremely helpful. I’ll definitely be back!

The employee asked if she could check, and I agreed. When they didn’t find anything, the man asked if I had given my baby some bread(that's well-packaged with plastic and filled with nitrogen) I told him that I had put it back, and he said that when people handle items like that, it makes it hard for him to sell them. I agreed and offered to buy the bread, but he said it wasn’t necessary and that next time, if I’m not going to buy something, I shouldn’t handle the items. I apologized and said I’d be more careful in the future, but when I asked him to apologize for the misunderstanding of thinking I stole something, he said he had nothing to apologize for. And instead of apologizing, he just told me to have a good evening."

I had a super bad experience with this shop. I usually purchase foods at the shops 2-3 times a week. I always separate the money for purchase food for a week in a small plastic bag which easier for myself. When I paid, I wanted to use all the coins, that’s why I gave the lady the exact amount of coins and there was a 10 cents with a dirt on it. And she asked for the other one, I said I have no other 10 cents and why I can’t use that. Then she accepted, after I paid for everything, she requested to check my bag, then I opened my bag and show her there are only a pair of shoes and a plastic bag with some uniform inside. She requested to completely open the plastic bag and needed to check my bag completely! I guess there is no one gonna try to lie for god damn 10 cents !! The staff treated me as a thief because of that god damn 10 cents with dirt, seriously ???!!! Or because I’m Asian and wearing a chef pants and let the staffs able to treat me in that way?!! please treat the customer nicer and don’t be damned snobbish!

Went in and bought things for $40 they had couple of boxes for testing never mentioned how much a customer can take. My niece took a small piece went to pay then the cashier was rude and asked us to pay for it then I said no I am not because it’s for testing and the she said I should talk only 1 grape piece I said well you guys did not mentioned in the sign so I said I am not paying and gave it back so she got angry and I stood in the middle of the shop talking in her own language about me in front of other customers rudely. I never felt so embarrassed and disrespectful in my whole life and I told her she is disrespectful and rude and she kept going in her own language. This is such a bad shop. So racist if your not Asian then you are treated with disrespects and badly they will never offer help and they will never respect people. I will never go to that place again.

This is probably one of my favourite stores ever, highly reccomend. Very kind staff and amazing managers specials. Couldn't image a better place to get all my snacks and food I can't find in regular supermarkets!

Nice range of Asian veg and other fresh produce. They even had balut available. Reasonable freezer section with wide variety of meats and frozen vegetables.

but today 29/2 was so funny, the staffs are new or maybe just transferred as we never see them before (3 new girls),
First, we were confused for looking a particular item and she clearly saw us but then we were about to ask, she pretended not to have a look at us, this is a new staff as we haven't seen her before, usually the staffs are always helpful, when we look confused, they will help you and ask if we were okay.
Second, we asked for bamboo tooth picks, they said at the back, but then long story short, one staff showed us a dental floss nearly, which is not we were looking but still appreciate her effort, but then we stated again that we were looking for bamboo tooth picks not dental floss.
She laughed and said it's not available and advised to find at chemist warehouse 😆,
but then we saw the bamboo toothpicks were literally just behind her and ofc we quickly grabbed that.
If they don't know just say don't know or ask more senior staff.

My friend bought grape. But the grape supposed to go to bin straight away.
It was really old and dry.
I don't know why they can sell such a nearly rotten fruits and vegetables....

One of my favorite Asian groceries lots of good selection and a variety of products. Prices are reasonable for city center location and convenience.

Bought a fresh Swiss roll today, we opened it when we got home and it was rock solid. Knocking on the top sounded like knocking on the bench and pushing on the cake top and roll ends produced no indentation, it was so stale/solid. No best before date on packaging. This is a product they get in from a bakery - will be reaching out to bakery with same feedback.
The staff are very helpful, there is one woman on check out that is an exceptional human. She makes everyone feel better with her banter and infectious smile. Hold on to her, she is gold.

Went in today 9/1/24 to purchase some grocery around 2:20pm, at the check out i’ve noticed an asian lady with no manners and customer service skills. She didn’t even tell customers the total price all she said was “tap here” then i asked for a bag and my grocery is heavy since it has a heavy glass bottle of a sauce, i asked her if the bag is gonna ripped she then looked at me for a bit and said its fine… instead of offering for another bag which i’m more than happy to pay for after she said its fine she moved on to the next customer straight away. If the bag ended up ripped apart and my sauce fell off and broke, i’m definitely coming back to get my refund money back ! your plastic bag is thinner than anything so double bag for your customers would be good as well as train your staff to have better manner.

So I’m a person who write google reviews only if the service was very good or the worst. But this is terrible. It’s written down on Google that the closing time was 11pm. It was 10:23, I’m not sure is it because they closing soon but when I went to the checkout to finalise my purchases there’s only one lady in the checkout she’s wearing the glasses on her phone all the time. When she serves me, I asked her how much is the pork floss price behind her. She told me to just come and have a look my self. Look here, I’m far sighted and you just right there. If you not going to help the customer, why you put them behind your back in the checkout. I’m also working in the similar industry. If you not serve your customers properly, what you get paid for? Just playing on your phone?
Food is ok. Upstairs seat is quiet and good to catch up with friends. We also bought take-away dim sim and that’s was great.

Great service and very helpful staff. Ordered a big birthday bun for a 90th birthday and it was delicious and presented beautifully. Overall great food and service.
Food is amazing and the best part is you can take a lot of the menu items home frozen and have yum cha to eat at home..

I am ordering from this business not the first time. The staff is responsible, polite, professional and eager to help. Communication is timely and efficient, via email or SMS. If certain item is out of stock, I am notified via email, and money returned immediately to the account it's been paid from. The staff contacts me even if the item is of different brand to make sure that I am satisfied with the change. The delivery fast and efficient: within day or two maximum.

I have already paid extra shiping cost $22.75 as I wanted to get them delivered within 2-3 days as your initial mail mentioned it in that way. However, it took 8 days you to send them to me. It's no point of paying extra money for speed delivery as you take more than usual time for that. Why do you take orders when there is no available products in your stock which means your website is not updated or what? When there is no available stock you should mention it in the website as the product is "out of stock". Then when you have to refund the money u only refund me $7.75 instead of $14.95. Your reason for that is because of the discrepancy in shiping cost. That is not a valid reason as how you charge such extra shiping cost as I have already paid $22.75 extra shipping cost. This is hilarious, while you take more than usual time to ship the orders, you charge the customers extra shipping cost for speed delivery. How unfair is this? Last Sunday, on September 17th, 2023, we decided to dine at a bustling restaurant. Despite the busy atmosphere, the food was satisfactory. However, an unexpected challenge arose when I began choking on a piece of food. I had opted for tea as my beverage, which offered some relief. Yet, when I urgently requested a glass of water, the response surprised me. The server declined, insisting that I needed to make a payment first. Meanwhile, the queue for assistance stretched on for what felt like an endless 20 minutes.

Avoid like the plague.. do not buy online. bought a bunch of stuff online, paid $10 for delivery. Then they called and informed me the frozen coconut was out of stock and I refused a substitute. Then they said two more items were out of stock and I was happy to pick a substitute for those. After a couple of hours I get an email about a bunch of stuff being out of stock, this was more than 70% of my order. So I rang them to cancel the entire order but no one picked up, i email them but only responded when the order was delivered. they refunded me the missing items, but I paid delivery for the whole order if I knew it was just a few packs I would have gone to the shops. Do not buy online from them.
Had unpleasant shopping experience today. The scanned price in the cashier didn’t match with the price tag. And the cashier girl didn’t want to check (or even ask other staff to check)and believed the customer have picked the wrong product. So I have to left the counter and checked by myself. After I talked to another staff in the shop, he suddenly realised the discount has expired and just simply remove the price tag. No one care about the customer in the whole process. It was super disappointed. Anyone go to this shop should carefully check the recipe in case misleading by the invalid price tag.

It is Father’s Day and we were looking for yum cha. The day before we tried to book reservations but it was difficult to talk to the person on the phone but when we arrived this lovely man welcomed us and it was amazing service. For the food it was super traditional and even good a bit of Chinese history. We sat out side in the sun it was nice a area to spend time together over all it was a super cool experience.
I baught yesterday Agrahar chakka varatty. It expired 2 months before they are selling this kind of foods there.. I forgot to check it before buying. That’s my fault. When I come back home I noticed. Maybe they are greedy. That’s why selling this kind of expired items.. not going to visit again..
This place is deceptively big, stocks a variety of everything. It doesn't have the greatest range of each type of thing but it has a very varied range of everything, if that makes sense. Every Asian culture has something here. Japanese, Thai, malaysian, taiwanese, Chinese, Vietnamese something, whatever. It might not have exactly what you are looking for but it might have other random things for you. Like, only a few bottled milk coffees and brewed coffees but also water chestnut drink. Not much instant coffee but there is durian instant coffee. Simple, nothing extravagant, reasonably cheap, but interesting and open reasonably late hours.
Tried the takoh for $8.50 - it consists of coconut cream, gently sweetened sago with juicy young coconut bits and corn. Yum!

Have been going to the Glen Waverley one for ages, so happy have this branch so much closer to home!
Food was perfectly cooked, freshly made, and the service was excellent. The newly renovated venue has comfortable seating upstairs and the overall vibe was clean and friendly.

We always come here to buy stuff in bulk. Its one stop to buy all your grocery items and pooja related items. Its right in front of Shiva Vishnu temple

Dec 2023 Update: recent visit to the shop and customer service has declined, at the same time the quality of the food has also declined. Some dishes were too salty and some the taste was not quite right. Provided some feedback so hopefully they can adjust accordingly.

It has all the staple things one might need for Indian cooking and Hindu rituals. Greatly maintained, very well stocked and receptive staff. In the one rare instance when we found an item that was past its Best Before date (one in many, many products), they immediately took them off the shelf.

Nice place to shop for your Indian groceries, in a serene environment. The chanting of OM and Shiva Sthothra adds a religious appeal to those visiting the shop. A huge range of groceries with competitive pricing, gives an edge to this shop. Checkout operators don't seems to wish or smile but maintain a serious composure. Perhaps its our acquired culture here to stay that way, but, definitely not Indian culture.

These guys have everything, and they are so reasonably priced. With the cost of living at the moment, and aarge family of 7, I can do a weekly shop for under $400 with tonnes of fresh produce, tinned Asian goods, drinks and snacks. Fruit lasts ages too, definitely recommend

Got served by a cashier with glasses today 4:15 pm on 20 May 2023 . Basically she just threw everything inside or not even inside my shopping bag . The first ever in Australia experienced this customer service.
Terrible supermarket. Do not go. I got the rice vermicelli from them and after cooking them, they stank and tasted disgusting. You never know how old their stocks are. Go to Tong Li for better quality.

VERY RUDE staff. I would have filed for moral damages. One of their staff just accused me of stealing and went through my bag just because it was big. People were looking at me like I stole something.
Luckily the cashier who served me first when I got there recognized me and she let me go.

Great Asian supermarket that's got everything you need. It's convenient and right next to Rhodes station. They also have an alcohol section where the sojus are reasonably priced. However, I did go there recently and I was craving pork crackling but they had expired ones selling on the shelf. So although they have all your Asian needs, just be mindful and check the expiry dates.

Very popular Asian glossary store near Chinatown in Sydney. They are many branches in Sydney. The store is about 5-10mins walk from central station. Face to paddy’s market and the old library building of University of technology Sydney. If you can find woollies and you will find it.
There’s a bun shop at the front of the store called Cutie puffs running by a middle aged couple. They have a variety of fillings to choose for the buns - beef, pork, vegetables, red bean, etc. I wish the buns are warmer so it would taste nicer. Soy milk is also okay. They do accept cards but sometimes the machine doesn’t work properly so it might take a while…
Good food & nice ambience.
The tables are little too small for four big plates in which you are served food.

Great range of products. The only downside is that cashier girl apparently doesn’t know how to politely serve customer. Thanks for her I had to pack my own good as at 6pm 28 Aug 2022, might as well get self check out machine installed. Makes no difference for her to be there

It’s easily accessible, it’s on high street. Friendly staff, they also delivered on request. And the prices are really good, quite low compared to other shops in the area. I also got a lot of Indian herbal stuff for my baby there.
Great selection of spices and snacks ( apart from the general stuff you get at any other Indian shops). Love the staff, very helpful.

I am expecting that this branch of Tong Li is the same as those in Blacktown,Liverpool and Cabramatta but unfortunately it's not. The other stores has a lot of asian varieties to choose but this grocery is just only selling like two asian products.
Great variety of spices and food mixes. Limited range of fresh vegetables. Everything you could possibly want from an Indian spice shop. Very clean and neatly kept products at reasonable prices. Convenient location and great parking right outside. Location next to other indo supply shops. Very helpful staff and friendly patient service at checkout.
Great selection of Asian supplies. I find them to be on the fairer side of pricing. You can definitely find most of the stuff you'll need here such as oyster sauce and stuff. However, if you're after specific or harder to find sauces, you might need to go to a bigger branch or other Asian stores. Otherwise, this branch will suffice.
Such a rude cashier, i told her about the product it was on special and she wasn't happy also given me that look. Told me to check with her colleague which her colleague said it's on special. I came back and she gave me rude answer. I also bought the drink and just realised it's expired.
Asian market inside Rhodes Central, just by the entrance so it is easily spotted as it is just across Rhodes station. The shop is bright, neatly organized and with plenty of goods which differs from Tong Li or New Yen Yen. Lots of Korean and Japanese goods. Their Soju is on offer now which is cheaper than most places.

Huge collection of idols (metal, wood and few marble) and utensils (steel and aluminium). You can also find temples of many shapes and sizes. Grocery store also has a lot of variety. Good store to visit and get your groceries.
The supermarket is located in a good place and there are lots of delicious foods and drinks in this supermarket. However, some cashiers never show good attitudes to the customers. It seems that some of them “cannot” say “hello”, “thank you” and do not have smiles. Really hope them could change their attitudes!
Great asian grocery store for 30 years. Great choices but occasionally some products are 5-20 cents dearer than nearby similar shops. Also some items are cheaper than others so if you have that budget shoppers' mind, would need to remember to pick up which item from which shop.
I have been here a few times! The service is not amazing but the food is! It’s got my favourite salted egg potato/fish skin chips 😍😍 There are so many varieties of snacks and food there! I even bought some instant ramen with Tteokbokki 😍 they have delicious desserts and so many Asian drinks! I am obsessed! Since I can’t travel to Singapore, I can purchase the chippies at this shop!!!

A favourite place of mine to come here in haymarket to shop for my asian groceries in Chinatown. You can literally get every asian stuffs you want and the price is pretty reasonable and cheaper than the nearby asian grocers.

Lots of Asian items which is great. However, plenty of improvement needed for customer service. None of the staff is friendly nor genuinely interested to help customers. Cashiers are also not polite and looks impatient.

I popped in to grab a few spices to make a curry and they owner couldn't have been more helpful. He really helped me out with my purchases and the prices were great. The store is fully covid compliant with PPE which made me feel safe also. Overall I couldn't be happier with my shopping experience 😀
Super duper huge selection of Asian products. The snacks selection range from biscuits, soft cakes, chips, cookies, candies to confectioneries. They also have plenty selection of instant food (cup noodles, instant curry, ready-mix sauces). Another gigantic section is the bottled sauces section - you can find sauces from various Asian countries - China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Vietnam, and others.
For those who just moved in to Sydney, you can find household items such as hangers and detergents. Cooking utensils options ranging from pots and pans to dimsum steamer and BBQ charcoals.
Tong Li Supermarket also has the fresh veggies and fruits sections - small but decent. Medicine sold also quite varied, mostly are famous medicine from Asian countries (pei pa koa cough syrup, salonpas, etc.)

I stepped into the store and I just connected to this wonderful store, I brought fried onions for my chicken biryani. Ps the biryani was beautiful because of the fried onions. Friendly staff as well, i couldnt find the fried onions at first but they gave their level best and helped me find it. Lovely place yaar, bindas experience. 100% reccommend. SHabhash
Most expensive place in Australia, Rip off the people in there , yesterday I bought the 2 can of Crabmeat chunk , and something more , when I got home I checked the bill , I was got shocked , 2 can cost me 20$ !!!!, always I buy this can , same brand same thing from Eastwood or Cabramatta 4.5$ per can , on Monday coming I will contact to fair trading and report them ,
This isn’t even based on the fact that staff are rude and unhelpful, but that on the past two occasions they double charged me and enters a different higher priced item. Only realised when I got home. Never going back. Bye bye bye

They are selling their products not according to the price display. The price display is $2.40 but it came out $2.99. We try to resolve it by raising this issue to the cashier and show her the photo taken of the price display, but she just ignore it and said the price increased. This is against fair trading law.
Grocery store with oriental speciality. A small selection of fresh vegetables. Inside is a bigger collections of tinned & prepackaged food from Chinese to South East Asian regions. Varies from prepackaged spices to condiments to general grocery. Very quiet here and staffs looked bored. Not once was I greeted when I visited. It's lined with endless aisles of mostly Asian food. I guess if you're looking for Asian grocery, this is a big store near Town Hall station underground walkway.

It's simply extraordinary that there is a Thai grocery in the center of Sydney, opposite to the giant Capitol Theatre. Vegetables and mushrooms are so inexpensive; Thai desserts are delicious, many of them for $5 only.
This place is bustling and has a great selection of Thai products. Staff are helpful and friendly.
I love this store for its interesting and intriguing product range. Conveniently for us Aussies I've noticed every product label seems to have English translation so the store is very user-friendly for Aussies to explore and discover intriguing and mysterious new products you won't find in major chain supermarkets. Staff work very fast and get you through the checkout very quickly. My one gripe is the noticeably poor air conditioning. It is distinctly warmer in Summer than the lower level malls.
