The Grounds of Alexandria is always busy, especially on the weekend so we were happy that we were able to get a table in the cafe fairly quickly as we'd just picked up a very hungry teen from the airport. Food was tasty as expected for the price but nothing to really rave about and the cakes were a feast for the eyes (though really too much buttercream). The downside was that we had to ask several times for a menu, my husband's meal came significantly after the rest of the mains, we ended up getting our own water as it never showed even after asking multiple times; even taking into consideration that the wait-staff was busy, we felt a bit neglected overall. However, the decorations and ambiance of the venue is fantastic.
It is one of the best places I have been to in Sydney! The atmosphere, service and food is lovely! Love how it is pet friendly as well. I visited it with my hub, parents and fur babies (a husky and a cat). Evah who served us was exceptional. She was so kind and lovely! Definitely a 10/10 visit!!
Had the avocado on toast with a poached egg which was really good. The place was loud with lots of people. But it’s a great place to grab a breakfast.
Been here a few times, amazing location, amazing food, amazing atmosphere. Different zones and areas to enjoy. Had breakfast in the Cafe, was exceptional. Had the breakfast tacos and the bircher museli, and a very smooth coffee. They currently have a Mexican theme, and it's executed very well. Plenty to entertain kids, a lot of seating available. You can bring dogs into the venue (cats too apparently!)

I absolutely love the story of The Grounds, the concept of having something very green and farm-like in the middle of such an industrial suburb.
The food itself is very good and not too expensive (but certainly not cheap either).
Loved the Christmas decorations and walk as well (despite the crowd!). The Christmas pastries were excellent.

Great photo spot within Sydney area. Always beautiful decorations, lots of visitors. Love the coffee! Dog friendly is a bonus! Love to get back there sometime with my pooch🐩. For wedding reception here, it will look so elegant and vintage, feel like a princess in the enchanted forest👰👸!
The place was so nice! You can have brunch, take photos here. They will change the themes from time to time. In January 2024, they still decorated in a Christmas theme.

The food variety that is around is incredible. This time, it's Middle Eastern cuisine at Mecca Bah.

The food was lovely, we enjoyed it. Just keep in mind this is a middle Eastern-INFLUENCED restaurant, so don't expect high authenticity of Middle Eastern food; just my opinion as someone who has lived in the Middle East for over a decade.

When we ask for the bill at the end of dining, the waitress throws the bill at our table, and then she just left without saying a word. I thought she would come back with the CC machine or at least tell us where to pay. She just left to different areas of the restaurant, never look back - ouch!

Good ambience within Sydney CBD area. We had the open steak sandwich which was very delicious. Definitely a recommended place to head into and enjoy a meal.

We had our staff Xmas party at this venue last night, Jason was our chef and he was amazing. Food was fantastic and we all left very full. A great night was had by all of our workers and their families. Thanks for your service

The banana bread was delicious and freshly baked!! 10/10. The coffee was really good as well. Service was friendly and accommodating, however the atmosphere wasn’t the best. It was quite noisy inside and a bit rough outside since it was in between two buildings. I’ll most probably be back though;)

As a team at Simplicity Personal Training, we absolutely love Welcome Dose. Their specialty coffee is a daily delight for both our clients and our team. The food complements the coffee perfectly, making it a go-to spot for breakfast, lunch, or brunch. A true gem for quality coffee and great food!

As a Moroccan familiar with Middle Eastern cuisine, my visit to Mekkah Bah was very disappointing. The food lacked authentic flavors, the service was inattentive, and the prices were steep. The overall atmosphere added to the disappointment. Unfortunately, this experience didn't meet expectations based on positive reviews.

Delicious all you can eat Korean BBQ. There is plenty of variety of food to cook and and prepared food. The staff were friendly.

Amazing!!! Jason was our chef and he was witty, skilled and cooked the food perfectly! We had the absolute best night, cocktails were delicious and atmosphere was perfect. We were at the early seating with another family and kids all enjoyed it too! If you are staying at surfers you must go!!

We had a banquet menu with 3 main choices for 6 people. The food was absolutely delicious, their cocktails were great. Staff members are very attentive and friendly.
•Trio dip: all 3 dips are fantastic, you can taste they are made with fresh, good quality ingredients, the house bread was delicious.
•Beef ribs: pulling apart and juicy, comes with the best sweet potato chips, so good!
•Chicken kebabs: great, the rice comes with is really delicious, the texture is great as Al Dante.
•Squid: amazing! Broccolini was so juicy and crunchy, it’s bedded on couscous and some sort of purée- so delicious.
•lamb pizza: kids loved them
•dessert was Baklavas & Turkish delight: goooood!

Happened to go there bit late at night. Owner greeted us with smile. We ordered chicken fried rice, chicken laksa and steamed prawn wantons. Trust me all the food was so good. When asked about jasmine tea, she served their jasmine oolong tea blend. It was the best. I liked the atmosphere too including their playlist. Would definitely love to go there again.
Came here with a friend for lunch last Sunday, first time and I'm glad we chose this place. Food was amazing, I had the beef ragu with penne pasta, devine. The Last one I had out at another place was a let down so this was definitely appreciated.

At the base of the EY bldg, this gem serves some excellent breakfast. Really enjoyed the polenta Benedict and the trout toast with fried capers. Long black coffee was great too. Perfect spot to sit and enjoy brekky before a busy day at the office.
My partner and I booked for 730pm on a Wednesday night, and by 815pm they had all the furniture packed up around us, banging and crashing, ruining any chance of a relaxing meal. I asked what time they close, which apparently was 9pm. The response was that if she didn't get the staff to help her pack up now, she'd be there doing it on her own. Very disappointing to a night we were looking forward to.

My first visit with a friend.The place is warmth and cosy to come with friends. We did not enjoy the pasta but they managed to turn the food experience to pleasant one. The manager/owner was very nice and dealt with our feedback impressively.

The kids menu is great and they even have colouring in on every kids menu.

The place is very nice and cozy, menu is varied and coffee is good, I ordered the brisket Benedict and it was a very good portion, although it needed a little bit more salt fo my taste.

Just had a lovely breakfast from the new spring menu at Eugene's. Absolutely delicious savoury French toast and the lamb scram. The team have outdone themselves again. Great food and even greater service as always.
Cute little cafe on Mitchell Road just a short walk from Sydney Park. Dog friendly seating outside which is great to see. The menu is fairly simple and we enjoyed both the dishes we ordered. We didn’t have any coffee but the green smoothie was delicious. Would definitely visit again.
Really awful food that was burnt and over salted, badly presented and all in all not worth the plate. Chefs knew how to have a hit rate of throwing food into peoples mouths 40% of the time. Lighting alcohol on fire and dropping their tools and laughing it off. One menu for food and one for alcohol which they push often and regularly. When asking for water they offered still or sparkling when I said normal water they disdainfully said tap water quite loudly. I can see why they would write their messages in salt, it’s a chef special. Lots of children crying, breaking things and generally just bang things around trying to copy the “chefs”. Give this one a miss.
Good coffee. Husband got the full tilt big breakfast. Beans and sausage was delicious. Don’t feel it’s worth $25 though. I got the salmon Benedict. Hollandaise was bland and not enough of it however good amount of Salmon. Will come back for a another round of coffee and a crack at another menu item.
Such a beautiful location and more dining / drinking options than I could possibly mention. Take your pick and settle in for a relaxing lunch or just a drink with friends. Watch the ferries come and go and people- watch as you soak in the Sydney sunshine. This area gives you the "holiday vibe" even if you're not on holiday. Definitely worth a visit.
Came here for a Sunday noon lunch. Was very happy with my Mexican burger. Generous amount of guac and sauces.

The top of the range egg and bacon breakfast dish (Full Tilt) came out without the eggs! We had to ask for them. Not a full cafe and we waited 25 minutes for our coffees which came out after our meals were served. The food was delicious… Service needs a bit mire attention to detail.
Place was really good. Food was good and tasty. But the service was the worst, I specially went from Modbury to this restaurant to try, as it was recommended by one of my friends, waited there for more than an hour to get served with our food. I don’t mind waiting but I was shocked because for the whole time I was waiting it was just me and my family waiting no more customers and still they took that long. Personally I will not go back to that restaurant ever again.
Love these guys! We come here almost daily. Coffee is always great, and they serve you with a smile even in the busiest days. I recommend their bacon&egg roll, sausage roll and muffins — we usually get takeaway food

Our first time experiencing Teppanyaki - and it was amazing. The chef is so talented and entertaining. We went for lunch (around noon) and we are vegetarians but they didn’t disappoint. They gave us some miso soup and salad to begin and then we ordered some veg teppanyaki and some veg udon noodles. The veggies and Tofu was super delicious. Udon noodles were slightly sweet for my liking but my husband liked it - so guess it is a preference. Overall it was a great experience.

This was a zaatar bagel, bacon, scrambled egg, Haloumi, bbq sauce and aioli. It all worked really well together and was great value for money at $19.

Craving for some Pho I dropped by Pho downtown on a weekday. Location is hiding behind the main road and faces a parking. Could be a little hard to find but that's why we have Google. I ordered the rare beef and brisket. Soup taste had good beef flavors and beef portions were fair. It did satisfy my cravings.

Both times we have ordered the platter which is just perfect for the both of us, we also add a side of salad for more variation. The platter comes with different meats such as chicken kebab, lamb kebab, lam cutlets and beef ribs and some breads and sauces which are just delicious.

Located inside the Cannery. This cafe brews a good coffee and great food to boast. Very quick and friendly service. I ordered the Shroom stack and enjoyed it very much. My family order the two eggs and maple bacon which was also very good.

Ordered the chorizo roll, beef brisket and corn dish. Must be a new age presentation method where they smother half the sauce in edge of the dish, so if you had a lazy wait person, like we had they will give it to you sauce side facing the customer.. see pics. Food was not spectacular for the price and it was a very long wait time for the food. Beef brisket was too dry. Service was bad as we waited quite a long time for the wait person to serve us. I understand if it was busy, but it was not at the time of ordering. They were just casually chatting behind the coffee machine. For drinks, ordered a flat white and chai latte.. both served lukewarm. Not to the liking as hot drinks should be served hot.. etc about 70C and not 40 odd. The coffee was however well balanced and had really nice little bubbles making the FW velvety smooth. On another note, once the wait person took our order and after about a 7 min wait, the wait person was sitting down having his staff meal. Our order probably came about another 10 mins after that. In which another table was sat down next to us. After we have completed our meal our table was cleared. The other table was waiting for their meal and surprise surprise, that same wait person who has finished his staff meal and has done whatever he needed to do came up to us with the other tables meal.. there was only 2 tables at that time. There must have been a 30 mins lapse in between . Takes bringing your brain to work to another level. Below average food and service. A one time visit is enough.
Quite a large range of restaurants along the wharf. It was a nice palce to walk around since it was quite wise so it wasn't too hard to get around even though it was busy.
All foods and drinks I had here were really good! I reckon this restaurant has the best Pho in Australia ! And also the waitress I talked with was friendly and nice! Price is reasonable too. When you come to Geelong, you definitely come here to have awesome Vietnamese food. I highly recommend!
Coffee is consistently great, and the Tradie (bacon & egg roll) is one of my faves in the area.
Tried the green goddess bowl and brisket hash last week. Looooaaaads of brisket but the poached egg was overcooked and the beef wasnt that flavourful, so not an item I'll get again. I'll stick with the Tradie 🙂

Went there for Mother's Day lunch with 14 people. Excellent service by Maria and matched by excellent and delicious food. Maria was very gracious and friendly and really made our day special. The food was great and did not have to wait long despite it being a full restaurant. Definitely recommended for large or small groups. We'll be back. 😊

Reuben sandwich was faultless, so delicious with great proportions! The iced matcha latte was also really good - very smooth with no bitter after-taste. Atmosphere was quite artsy and thoughtful! Loved the little touches with the unique spoons and the WC also had some awesome design features! Great little spot for brunch

Friendly service, spacious and open ( can eat outside in cannery space if no tables inside, but it's takeaway) good food and generous portions (especially the black rice in the black rice and chicken dish!). Chicken was tasty and cooked well, not dry. Phew! Hate dry chicken.

The owner was very lazy. We ordered and he said let me finish my tea first. Food wasn’t good at all!

Beautiful food, and the customer service is top notch here. Great to see a cafe that actually put in so much effort even in the small details. Coffee is just average, it would be perfect with better type of coffee beans.
Popped in this morning for breakfast, staff were super friendly and the food was great!
I just went simple, eggs on toast and an orange juice, but the staff were friendly and helpful. Service was prompt, I seriously thing my orange juice took two minutes from order to delivery! Orange juice was top notch as well!

Exceptional coffee! Could not fault it, perfectly poured and designed cappuccinos. Best to just look at the pictures. My son had a hot chocolate and said was one of the best he has ever had, made from quality melted chocolate, not powder. We also tried the huge chocolate chip cookie and it was incredible - lots of delicious chocolate chunks, soft and a bit chewy, and a sprinkle of salt on top which just took it to another level.
Staff were friendly, happy and attentive too. All round great cafe.

I finally found a place that serves Omelette!!
We came here for breakfast, and the place was packed with people picking up their morning coffee.
The friendly staff took us to the table and took our order.
We had their Avenue Omelette, served with sauteed onion, tomato, mushroom, spinach & goat cheese drizzled with truffle oil, and a side of toast.
I loved it!!!

Been here severral times over last five years. Love the kind of hip but down vibe, art and posters on the walls. Good coffee, nice flavour. I had the classic burger which you can see looks like what one hopes for. Good size patty, the relish was tasty, and good bun. Love to come back some time
Loved the food here. We ordered parathas and chat papri. Really the best parathas in Adelaide. Good quantity as well. Friendly staff, great service.

Veggie bowl was amazing. Hands down, Best veggie breakie bowl I have ever had in Sydney! And I have eaten in the Hills, the west, the city and the Eastern Suburbs.

High expectations often lead to disappointments and this is exactly what happened with Chahat.
Thoroughly disappointed with the food, taste and quality. An overload of spice that dominates the taste and the food itself lacks punch.
We ordered Punjabi Thali that had dal makhani and paneer navratan along with the other standard inclusions and never have I tasted dal makhani that's not creamy (watery) and a prominent taste of red chilli (i presume). We were recommended Kulcha thali and were impressed when served but it was a let down as the channa lacked taste and the kulcha were burnt and had a bitter taste to it.
The service was good, courteous and friendly and the quantity served was also good.

If you want to have a real Indian type ambience visit this place. I will guarantee you will not miss your home town. Food is good and authentic to the province the chef originates from. we could not pick any faults, we liked the food very much. I request the restaurant to cater to the authentic food for a long time to come. We love to visit again for the food but I request you to make sure to give the amenities and cleanliness a thought too.
This place is legit. The coffee was some of the best coffee I have had in Sydney. I had the Peruvian Sandwich. Oh my. No words. So delicious. We were even able to swap the toast out of the smashed avo for a bagel. So they are really accommodating. Great service and a great place. Props!
