28 day return policy is ridiculous. Can't even exchange for something I will use.
Very friendly
Staff member was rude and rushing me telling me I only had 8 minutes before shop closed. I know it was a Friday afternoon but I did have 8 minutes and she kept pulling a cart in front of the items I wanted to look at. Told me there was only one of the item and when I said that there was another one that I could see she just dismissed my comment and reminded me again that shop was due to close soon. I wasn’t going to stay past close time I just wanted to quickly look at what the options were. I felt pressured and ended up leaving with a $75 spend and not sure if I might have to go and buy a different one that I have now found online is actually available in the store and a better option for my needs. Unimpressed and disappointed, I find shopping difficult at the best of times and just some common courtesy goes a long way. I definitely would have left in the time as I already knew what I wanted. It would have taken an extra minute at best. I made it out of the shop with 4 minutes to spare.

Really feel uncomfortable shopping here due to one staff member named Sharon, she is rude, unnecessarily blunt, kind of like she wants to start a fight, is generally annoyed, and based on her attitude hates her job or people, likely both. I’ve had approximately 5 interactions with her all of which I tried to avoid, and during my time in the store witnessed her treat other customers in the same manner. Other areas they could improve upon are stock levels and accuracy, the range of items is far less than other stores possibly due to being regional and more often than not have no stock of the item I’m looking for and don’t know when or if they are getting it. Prices are frequently not labeled correctly or missing in my experience the staff are undertrained and don’t have a great deal of knowledge on products, and I’m assuming based on the overall vibe to underpaid to care. Should be a fun and creative space, this particular store is more of a get In get what you need and get out asap.

The team members are so rude. If you ask for help you feel like your interrupting and you should try and find it yourself. The shop is a mess. No prices on some things or the wrong price. Specials are kept behind the counter for Team only to purchase. Will definitely won't be going back
I highly recommend Spotlight Mittagong recently I was assisted by Sam in selecting material for chair covers. Sam was extremely knowledgeable polite and warm. Fantastic customer service. Sam Taylor is to be congratulated. A credit to Spotlight. Customer for life. Thanks to Sam Taylor. Jeffrey Slatter

I don't normally leave one star reviews but after my experience shopping yesterday at this store I feel it's time. This employee has treated customers appallingly, she is rude, she makes snide remarks about people purchases and mocks customers. I have witnessed this behaviour every time she is on shift and I am shopping and it has come to the point that would rather drive 50 minutes to the next spotlight to avoid dealing with her. In case your wondering, her name is Sam and she needs some help.
Everything you'd expect from a newsagents, great staff, always friendly

No wonder this shop has never gone away for over a hundred years.
They had everything I needed and the shop assistant surprised us with her knowledge and was welcoming friendly and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I’ve had the pleasure of being served by Nichole in the fabrics department. Since opening this store, Nichole has been the most helpful, polite and most knowledgeable person in this department.

Others have been rude, disinterested and dismissive in the past.

Nichole is a keeper

It’s a small shop, but has a good selection nonetheless of paints.
The staff member (who I think was moving interstate shortly) was very nice and gave lots of good advice and suggestions.
Items on sale were a very good price.
Parking is a little bit of a challenge.
Not very helpful. Price was good but wasn't much inventory. Very niche. Couldn't cut larger slabs of material into smaller pieces, which was annoying. Good atmosphere in the shop, weird carpet though. Didn't buy anything.

I finally had the chance to visit today and was delighted to be met with exactly the art haven I'd hoped for. The lovely person looking after the store was knowledgeable and helpful and I'm keen to return with more time to spare.
In March I ordered over $4000 worth of blinds and curtains. It is now half way through July and still nothing has been delivered. Pointless having a 1300 number as I phoned them and they took 2 weeks to return the call. I drove an 80km round trip to go to the store to find out what was happening. The girl there was very helpful unlike the customer service staff and the sales rep.
Spoke to the sales rep last Thursday and she told me she would call back the next day with an update, it’s now late Monday and still waiting. I’m absolutely fed up. They have had over $2000 of my money and I have received absolutely nothing for it.
The ones I have dealt with on the phone are rude and defensive.
Sadly I’ll never use them again. I have used them previously in other locations with no issues. Stop using covid as an excuse. You’re not short of staff.
Not the first time I have gone there to find a closed or on lunch sign. Today caught the bus there, walked 10 minutes to find a ‘back in 5 minutes sign. 20 minutes later still no sign of anyone. Too angry at that stage to buy anything and left. Will deliberately boycott them from now on. Just one very depressed and badly run business. Deserves to go under.
Nice little local business located left side of the discount chemist
Friendly staff in here. Always pleasant how they treat their customers. Always smiling. Well stocked with the last minute stationary items. Plenty of variety of cards as well.
Very good service
Fast & efficient, always polite and helpful.. 👍
Great staff, well defined knowledge of products and services.
A happy, friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
An A-One Art Supplies store! With everything, any artist would need! Easels & work 💼paper! Canvases! Acrylic paints & oil paints! Crayons & pencils! Scratch-art 🔨tools! Friendly & knowledgeable staff to guide you! I have bought a document holder here & paints & a clear gloss lacquer for $13.00 that glues almost anything to an art canvas! I have been buying inks, pastels & art pads regularly. If you spend more than $25.00 you get a stamp & eventually you get $40.00 of free products. The staff are really really helpful. I love this place.
Nice shop .staff are friendly and helpful

I love this little art shop tucked near the start of Wickham street - there are always sales and deals going on, and there is concession for students and other people. I always go there to get my supplies, and the price is really good. Quality brands are stocked, and it's always fun perusing the store. The customer service is always excellent, the servers are very friendly and personable

Very impressed by the variety and range of products they have available from paint, paper, glue, canvases. They have a huge selection of pastels and paintbrushes. Very friendly lady that serves. Narrow aisles but great selection of products!
