This is a MUST visit if you are in the area. The towering redwoods and the creek make for an overall majestic atmosphere it's a very special place. I highly recommend dropping by just to experience the forest and snap some photos 😉

These redwoods were planted in the 1930s and are just children in comparison to the ones in California USA. Despite that they are still stunning and will even build your appreciation for how large they must be if they grow for thousands of years.
The Redwoods in the Otways is a truly magical place, and I rank it as a close second to the 12 Apostles. Walking among these towering trees feels like stepping into another world. The peaceful atmosphere and the sheer size of the redwoods make this a must-visit spot for nature lovers and anyone exploring the Great Ocean Road. The grove is well-maintained, and the surrounding area is lush and beautiful, offering plenty of photo opportunities. Whether you're looking for a quiet place to reflect or just want to experience the awe of these magnificent trees, The Redwoods Otways is an unforgettable destination. Highly recommend making the trip.
Went here for a ride and a day put to look at the view, overall a spectacular view point and highly recommend having a look
We visited on an early Orchid hunt and found a few but very few compared with previous visits. Not much flower in the bush generally and it all looked a bit "tired". Maybe it has not enjoyed recent weather but I hope it perks up soon as it is a lovely reserve with good walks and views from some areas.

definitely one of the highlights of my trip!

we went up by the south of binns rd and exited through the north, pls take note that it really is a small road, and some portions can be quite steep and winding so do drive safely.

there is also a toilet nearby

Bring a zoom lens or a powerful smartphone
Those who like the hills shall visit this place! Breathtaking!
Whole city in front of you.
Better times to visit are sunset.
But need to be there before time as parkings fill up quickly

Beautiful redwood forest with magnificent views of the towering redwoods. The entrance is just right by the parking area. The forest is fairly large so there’s plenty of space to take nice photos with the trees. Getting here requires driving through a narrow windy dirt road uphill. Drive carefully and be prepared to make way for vehicles from the opposite direction.
A tranquil, beautiful place to visit. The trees are massive, bring a wide angle lens when you visit! The road in is very winding and narrow, so please drive carefully. Across the road from the parking lot is a toilet. And speaking of parking lot, if it's been raining recently, it will be very muddy, so bring some car floor mats.
This place is definitely worth a visit 👍😄
Very serene area. The water is calm

This place was easily accessible for all ages and abilities, probnot suitable for wheelchairs, due to the packed down leafy ground, too soft for tires.
The views are incredible, you can't look down. You feel like you are in lord of the rings set, or robin hood movie! It's cold , so wear a windbreaker. Plenty of parking. We were here april 27th 2024.
5 stars.

Awesome walking and park in general. The spot itself is not that great
Serene, Relaxing and absolutely beautiful. It’s a bit of a drive up the mountains but definitely worth it. Also went to the waterfalls 2 min away from the forest and loved it!
Beautiful view across the bay. Or is it an embayment called Port Phillip?
Somewhat windswept lookout that offers views over Port Phillip Bay as well as down the shore to St Kilda. Located just off the Bay Trail, it’s a quick detour if you’re passing by. Lots of food and drink options within a five minute walk. Based on the number of memorial plaques it seems to be a popular place to spread ashes of family members.
Beautiful place to watch the city. Especially during sunset.
Just love the sight I can get from here.

We probably parked at a wrong spot so we actually did a bit of off track walking to the top. The walk is pretty easy but there was A LOT of GIANT ANTS that keep climbing into our shoes. It's like needles poking when they bite. I guess please wear long pants and socks to cover up if you want to come for a walk.

Care is taken over large area by the people that live near the park to control the weeds and allow the native vegetation to bloom

All the trees planted have ruined the view when you drive up and park. The second carpark is closed off now too. I remember the first time coming here before the 2000 olympics and the view was breathtaking. It was amazing to just drive up and park and look out over the whole city, 180º.

Roughly about 1.6 km hike from the waterfall lookout. Hike is undulating with some inlines and declines. There's also decent shelter from tree canopy. Luckily, the walk back to the waterfall is less ardous due to a larger portion of the trail being downhill.
Great place for watching wild flowers blooming!

Ganz netter Aussichtspunkt auf den Melbourne Beach. Im Mai aber eher nicht für den Sonnenuntergang geeignet, da die Sonne zu weit im Westen hinter der Stadt untergeht.

Incredible even early morning with spectacular views of the city, keep your eyes peeled for Kangaroos. We spotted 28 in totally whilst walking this 7km loop trail
Good views from the Hills, west to the city. No facilities, spent about 10 minutes here.
Amazing view. Enough parking places and nice place to sit down for picnic. Can see night time view and amazing sunset.

Just thing to look after is bin which are filled with ant so need to look after when we throw the stuff in the bin it goes to the bin and lid is close.
The lookout tower was built in memory of the old land owner. Which got burned down and was replaced with metal tower and that one also got removed and that is a real shame that there is no tower here now.

Hopefully, the Scenic Rim Regional Council should reconsider this spot and build another tower as the view is amazing but because of the tree line in the park, you can not see any view.

Now I don't think this is a bad spot. There are several picnic tables with heaps of lawn space which is also shaded from the trees. So it's a perfect spot for a picnic and especially if you are looking for a quiet place. Pretty much we only shared the park with one other couple who also was having a picnic there and the other bonus is that you can park your car right next to you.

We also had kookaburras flying around us and one cheeky magpie visit us why eating lunch.

I also explored the park a little and found two treks. One on the left side of the park, which pretty much goes nowhere. You just pass some mobile phone towers, but the one on the right of the park is worth a look.

As I was headed down the path I did notice that you are behind some people's property which I hope does not upset them at the end of the path there is a bit of a cliff where someone has cut down the trees and the view there is amazing. I think it looks over Biddaddaba.

Now if you do head down the trek please be careful of the cliff at the end and I don't recommend taking children down there as the cliff is pretty steep.

So lovely
Wonderful wild flowers and walks. Telephony museum, picnic areas and toilets. All accessible.
Short walk on made road to good views
It's a nice spot to enjoy the view around Port Melbourne and see all of the different kinds of ships coming and leaving Port Melbourne.

Free parking and it is about 5km from Manly walk. For those who want to reduce their Spit beach to Manly walk distance!
A twer lookout that is no longer. Been dismantled twice. Only a picnic area & memorial remain

28/09/2021 Not a lookout at all, completely surrounded by trees, you cannot view anything.

This place just a picnic area, if you are looking for a lookout, do not come here.

A hidden gem of a lookout, located along the hiking path. Amazing views and you can glimpse the city. Would recommend this spot to anyone who is looking to enjoy a quiet spot to relax. Very nice at sunset. However note it is not dog friendly.

Awesome lookout!
Went to the top, didn't explore the numerous walking trails here but will do so next time. These photos were taken from the top of the lookout tower. There's a small naturistic playground and plenty of shaded places for picnics.

Nice easy walk down to the lookout. Beautiful views of North Head and Manly Cove.
It is a rather secluded lookout, but it is quiet and peaceful.
You can also see a glimpse of Sydney city view from afar.
Great walk with an amazing view. Lots of shade from trees during the walk. Watch out for ants during the warmer months. We walked the trail late November and encountered lots and lots of ants. Make sure to bring water.
A piece of mother nature in the middle of urban development. So many species of wild plants and flowers. Excellent place for good walk. Please slow down when driving as so many lizards got hurt by reckless drivers.

Absolutely a hidden gem in the suburban petri dish....
Amazing views. Nice drive in with the heights. Trees, seclusion, views, walks, nature. You have to walk in but worth it. Make sure you wear a hat on the hotter days. The only downside was the tower.

A good view out across the city. Shame the Swan river isn't visible from this angle.

There is a gate blocking the little access road here. It's about a 1km walk from there. Not far.

Only thing that lets it down is the big antenna thing covered in graffiti, but it doesn't block the view at all.

Worth a look.
No view to be seen. But plenty of fresh air. 😊

Fantastic local spot. Great open grass areas for picnics, wildflowers (at certain times of the year), views of the city and lovely bush walk tracks.

This was once a tower lookout but unfortunatly due to the elements they have all be dismantled and removed.

Now it is a picnic area surrounded by trees... and graffiti.

There is a nuber of picnic tables and heaps of lawn space but is it very much a derelict park now.

I wouldn't stop here if I was after a lookout or nice picnic spot.
Wonderful views of Perth from this sacred site only accessible by walking ! Love this awsome place ! Would make a nice scenic bike ride ! Unique varieties of Native Wildflowers to see ! Please stay on the walk trails ! Protect and care for our Native Bushland Forests and National Parks. 💚🌳🦘🦘🦘🌳💚🙋‍♀️🕊

It's a wonderful gift after you struggled in a challenging track along a small river to the place. You can see Perth city from the distance. Worth to go for hiking lovers.
I went for a magical run... well "semi-trail run" along the coast. It was stunning, idyllic and calm during weekday evenings.... annnd I easily got the milage I needed. Lovely spot, I wont forget you!

Amazing panoramic views from an elevated position. Ample parking as it does not seem to get too popular. It is a good entry point to a very cool walking Trail. Unfortunately there are no facilities around in the area. The walk is quite hilly in parts
Even though there is a road out to the lookout, it isn't accessible by car. Drive up the road and park near the white gate. It's a couple of hundred meters to the lookout. The first viewing area is directly in front. A path to the left takes you to a log that makes for a great seat. There are walking paths around the area. Most lead to residential areas below.
Nice spot to stop to see views from the mountain or watch the sun set

What a magnificent view. However I didn't know it was going to cost $12 upfront. I don't mind paying, but would've appreciated if I knew beforehand. Nevertheless, still worth it.
Amazing view of one of the nicest parts of the harbour. This is also a pretty good place to jump onto the spit to manly walk. Cutting out much of the uphill, it's mostly bush and harbour side walking.

Once you get to Manly, you can then grab a bus back up Sydney road and it's about another 20 minutes back to the lookout from where the bus drops you off.

There's a small car park here, and is also the closest place to start the short mostly flat walk out to Grotto Point lighthouse
