Probably a nice facility, but I didn’t get the chance to find out. I signed up for a free trial and received a call shortly after to discuss the details and the location. When I arrived, I was told I couldn’t use the free trial because I would only be here for two weeks. And she offered me a day pass at $32.

One of the best boxing gyms in Sydney so far! From amazing coaches to world class boxing workouts it’s place for everyone to learn boxing. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, this is the place for you. Been here for over a year now and I have progressed a lot. Thanks a lot Leon and Crew🙏🥊

A great variety of training, underpinned by a solid core of boxing, strength and conditioning. And of course the guidance from the team on all of the training, including one on one boxing, is the best I have experienced.

Absolutely love training at UBX North Sydney! They help fine tune your boxing skills whilst you get fitter and stronger each week. Have never been able to do what I can now, before I started at UBX and the staff are incredibly helpful and fun. I genuinely look forward to going to the gym in the mornings!
Nasty scammers, reported multiple times.
Stay away if you don’t want to get robbed.
I am taking legal action to get them to stop taking money from my account after ending 30 days (!) cancellation period even though i have never step a foot in their gym and was a single carer for my partner during the time.
My emails are being absolutely ignored.
Used to be Fitness First member for years in Gold Coast. Wonderful treatment guys 👏🏻
Highly recommend: Excellent full service well maintained gym. Great staff, experienced Personal Trainers, all the free weights equipment you’ll need, cardio section upstairs, steam room, sauna, swimming pool downstairs and a towel service.

There is also physiotherapists separate from the gym but located within.

Mel and her team are welcoming who made my daughter feel part of the team. My 13-year-old daughter thinks the atmosphere is great, the team and athletes are incredible.
Thank you Athlete X
Dreadful customer service particularly Karrinyup - not interested if you have a complaint - no one ever gets back to you. Don’t go anywhere near them.
My absolute favourite gym in North Sydney - you can know absolutely nothing about boxing and the lovely staff will get you well on track, having a laugh with you on the way. Fastest I've ever seen results when trying a new workout!

Great location for indoor sports. Cheap rates compared to other places.
Very crowded. Equipment is pretty old. Only 3 very mediocre squat racks. All the pull up bars are fat gripped for some reason. Good luck using any dumbbells. Only opens at 6am?? Sauna is decent, outdoor area is nice. Vibe is not great. Avoid if possible

Very good gym. A wide range of facilities for many different exercises. The patrons here are friendly and don't bother you during training. The addition of CrowdDJ means you can request your own music and play it in the gym if you've forgotten your earbuds or headphones. Definitely worth getting a membership here if you study at UWA or live in the area.

I LOVE this gym. Mel and the gang are so incredibly welcoming, they instantly make you feel part of the team. The atmosphere is great and the athletes are amazing. The Rates are super reasonable too which is the cherry on top. There's a coffee shop attached to the gym which serves delicious coffee in the mornings and a beautiful physio&pilates practice upstairs. There's also an ice bath and sauna for your post training needs.

I've trained in a lot of gyms and this one is right up there with my all time favourites. Don't miss the opportunity to train here!
I've been training at Rushcutters Health since it opened. Best gym and trainers. I will never go anywhere else.

Love this gym! Great place to challenge your fitness and learn new boxing techniques. I really enjoy the self-paced structure. Great vibes and energy. The trainers are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
This is supposedly a Platinum gym. They charge us like it is. It is also one of the m9st crowded gyms I have been to. They needed some repairs, so they shut-down the entire free weight for an entire saturday. I would have expected the work to be done when the gym is closed or at the very leas, send members an email warning them

I went for a free trial because I wanted to subscribe for two weeks, but the minimum was a month, so it didn't work for me. Anyways, Joseph kindly let me try the gym, which was fantastic. I recommend it 100%.
Can't entirely recommend, poor culture within the gym. Facilities are ok, location is excellent and free parking. Just don't expect people to put weights away etc or gym floor to be clean, and staff don't care either. Subi needs a competitor and this place is in for a rude shock.

First up, I joined mum for her weekly boxing PT with Tim. We had a good laugh and I think mum got a little too excited about punching me (when we were supposed to be tapping).

Then I stuck around for one of their sessions. This place is cool. It’s like F45 for boxing. Stations are set up with screens to show you the exercises. Boxing combos and a mix of cardio, core and strength woven in to the circuit. The gym is open in time blocks so you can come and start the circuit when you like during that time (amazing) and the instructors jump in and do pad /technique work with you too. One of the things that usually puts me off going to a boxing class is being paired up with someone who’s a different level to you - so this kind of workout is PERFECT!

3 days on and everything hurts still 😂

I had been struggling to commit to the gym/ routine - until I found Athlete X.
When I joined the first thing that I felt was a real strong sense of community, the coaches and the members were so friendly and welcoming, instantly made me feel like I belonged here.
The training is all coach lead and programmed. The workouts are fun and progressive.
All the coaches are engaging, highly experienced and extremely friendly. I’ve been really happy with my progress in the gym thanks to the coaching at Athlete X.
I’ve also met some really wonderful people here.
Thank you Athlete X.

Great studio for Personal Training! Ken is an outstanding coach who delivers a perfect balance between challenging yet fun exercise sessions. If you want to get into 1:1 sessions, this is the place to do it :)
I have only just started a couple months ago, but the experience so far has been amazing! Not just my PT Ken but everyone I’ve met so far at the gym has been super friendly and encouraging! Definitely recommend to at least check this place out!!
Created 3 accounts under my name without letting me know, the manager didn’t even want to speak to me over the phone. This is what you call customer service.

5 star gym, 5 star trainers & 5 star members. As a former staff member, I have seen the amount of love and care the RH team puts into their work. During my time at RH I saw an insane amount of members go through amazing body transformations - this is no accident, it is directly correlated with the effort that the RH team put in. The team trains together, competes in events with their members and they bring in top quality speakers and educators to improve their craft. Moving forward I will try to emulate what I learned at RH and will highly recommend them to anyone looking to better themselves.

Couldn’t recommend Ken enough! I’ve had multiple PT’s in the past and never managed to stick at it due to disengagement, this is not the case with Ken. The training program is fun and exciting but I still feel a sense of accomplishment after each session and one bit closer to my goals. The perfect balance of accountability!

An unpretentious and welcoming space, with great coaches and a highly considered program. Whether you are learning how to gym or have been at it for years, this is the place to be. All you have to do is get to the door, and they handle the rest!
Brilliant club with great classes that’s included in yr membership!
Love the variety of classes.
Great front desk service.
The weight section is very good, with so much Variety.

Been coming here for years!
Shaded by the stadium. Close to the road but fenced. Basic play/climbing activities and slides.
Customer service from the front reception staff has improved a huge amount and I’m so glad to see. Always good to have a friendly chat on the way in and on the way out of the gym. Keeps the motivation going.
Stay away, equipment stay broken for long period of time and ‘male’ personal trainers will flirt with your partner in front of you to see your reaction. The worst customer service you will receive in your whole life for sure.

The moment I arrived at Athlete X I was greeted with smiles and I already felt like I belonged there. Trainers and gym goers alike were extremely welcoming and friendly. The programming for each class is clearly well prepared and there are always many scalable options for each exercise, making the workouts more inclusive. The coaching staff are second to none and are always carefully watching to ensure safe lifting and good techniques are being used to prevent injuries.

Thank you Athlete x - for the community you've built and the service you provide

Incredible community gym with everything you need. Jo the owner is an absolutely gun. He’s created a really peaceful and supportive environment at the gym with his friendly and relaxed approach. Always present and providing tips and tricks. The gym itself is extremely pleasant and tidy. He prides himself on hygiene and it shows - freshest smelling gym I’ve ever walked into!! Sadly I moved away but if I lived close by, without a doubt I’d be happy here long term!!

Great well maintained equipment. Feels very private and exclusive to train here, yet the owner, Jo, is very friendly and accomodating with little coco thats the cutest. I left UWA a year ago and despite numerous times contacting them and demanding that my membership is cancelled, I am still being charged every month. The most recent charge has come at a time where I am very short for cash and needing to pay rent, so due to them constantly charging me without permission I am facing possible homelessness. Mid af gym btw.

Love this gym! It is the fittest I have ever been and I leave with a smile after every session! All the trainers are super friendly and well skilled. They get to know you and help push you when you need it, but also adapt to any changes in your fitness required. 100% recommend to anyone at any fitness level.
I've been going to this gym for a few years now, and I have to say, it's one of the best I've ever been to. Everything is always clean and well-maintained!
Staff are so friendly and welcoming, and they go out of their way to ensure you feel comfortable and supported.

What really sets this gym apart is the Body Balance group class. It's absolutely perfect! The instructor (Geoff Richards) is so knowledgeable and provides excellent guidance on exercises for improving balance, flexibility, and overall well-being.

Overall, I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great place to work out.
멋진장소입니다.^^
DO NOT SIGNE UP HERE OR GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!! They have been stealing my money out my account, called 3 different staff for canceling this membership I never sing in for and nobody is giving me an answer!

It’s been 4 months of weekly payments without my permission!
I had a good time at the gym with nice people. But it is the dirtiest gym I’ve ever seen in my life. I don’t know if they ever cleaned anything before. They charged for 10 days during worldpride 150 Aud which is 100€ and stop towel service and cleaning as well. There is a camera in the sauna room and the sauna it self is very old dirty wood. Some machines never worked. The locations great but the locker room and everything needs to be cleaned!
A quiet female friendly place to exercise and get fit.

We got wind of this gym through word of mouth. Having previously been at a CrossFit gym for nearly 10 years, we decided it was time for a change and haven’t looked back. We were made welcomed straight off, the coaching staff are friendly and approachable. The gym caters for all levels of fitness and experience. You’re never too young or old to learn new skills or movements in a safe environment with no judgement. Highly recommend this gym, great people all round, including the members.

My husband and I made the move from our old CrossFit gym, where we had been for 10/6 years respectively. It was a difficult and daunting decision initially, however the team at Athlete X were very welcoming and we have felt like part of the family right from the beginning.
The programming, coaching, and knowledge of all the team is definitely a strength. Coaches take the time to get to know you and are always happy to help you adapt movements due to any injury or mobility issues. Training blocks focus on developing core strength and mobility for functional fitness based on cross-fit style movements, without the competitive nature that you have in many other gyms. You train at your level, and the community spirit means everyone’s achievements are celebrated. At 46 years old, I feel stronger and fitter than I ever have as a result of the programming and support I have received. Our move to Athlete X has been extremely positive and I could not recommend them highly enough.

I was invited to leave a review for a place in which I have called a second home over the past 6 years. If you’d asked me back then if i would recommend Athlete X to my family and friends it would have been an overwhelming yes. Today not so much. In short the premium price is not justified by the poor coaching and lack of competitive drive. If you are serious about fitness this isn’t the place for you.

With a change of primary owners comes a change of direction for this gym, and unfortunately what followed was a chain of poorly constructed business decisions which old and founding members like myself did not take lightly too, with a seemingly increasing desire to put profit above the members.

From increasing weekly rates to a premium $75, (the most in the area) which was off the back of a poorly thought out economical purchase of a Sauna. It forced members regardless of intention to use the sauna or not to pay the costs of the mistake by the business. Who plans to use a sauna in Summer? What followed was yet another “business decision” to let go the only male coach and the only coach with qualifications suited to CrossFit and functional fitness. Leaving the level of experience and quality of teaching severely lacking and under the responsibility amateur coaches who fail to demonstrate movements themselves. As a result of this attention is solely put on new members, and those wishing to uspkill technique are forced to look elsewhere as the coaches simply don’t have the experience necessary. The programming is also not difficult, catering for beginners which disincentivises members to improve and sets low standards.

It’s a place which preaches inclusiveness and “choose kind”. A motto which is decorated all over the walls and merchandise. Though the reality is that it’s an overwhelmingly woke environment with an abundance of clicky groups who have a distaste for any inconvenience to them.
With a number of seasoned members choosing more competitive, cheaper and friendly options nearby I would suggest doing the same.
Amazing experience
Good gym aswell a kindergym one day a week good facilitys good service to the community...
I’ve been training with Jonty for almost 2 months now and am pleasantly surprised by the positive impact and results in such a short time. He is a professional, knowledgeable and experienced trainer covering not only well planned and beneficial sessions in the gym but my diet and maintenance during the off days. I think it is this holistic approach which allows people to really see some changes and learn some lifelong positive habits. I would recommend Rushcutters Health to anyone looking to make some positive life changes whether just starting out or even if you are a more experienced athlete. The team are friendly and welcoming and the facility is clean and quality.

I'm not sure whether fencing is such a noisy sport. If so, the venue should not be rented to fencing team and ball games at the same time. It is no exaggeration to say that my friends and I were shouted by the fencers next door that we were going to have a heart attack.

And the sign on the wall clearly lists only three ball games. When we used to play badminton here, the basketball player next door would shout, but that was completely within our acceptable range. Today's experience really annoys all of us.

I booked the court one week in advance, but I received a notice that our reservation was cancelled just the day before, WITH NO REASON. Excuse me???

We filed a complaint and got compensation for another period, But when I confirmed it by phone later, I was told by another employee that there was no information about our reservation. Excuse me???

A manager later helped us solve this problem, but in any case, this unpleasant experience and our wasted time made us feel like: EXCUSE ME???

I have been training with Liam for a few years and believe he is one of the most experienced and committed trainers around. I really enjoy the variety and challenge he puts into the sessions.
Liam also helps me to achieve my goals and checks up on me between sessions.
All the trainers are extremely friendly and welcoming at the gym and it is very clean and not over crowded.
I would recommend Liam and Rushcutters Health to anyone looking to improve their fitness with a dedicated and friendly group of trainers.
(Removing the covid elements)

Since reopening:
- place is not clean in the slightest. Surfaces might be, but beyond that, filthy
- showers have mould everywhere
- no towel, no train? Definitely isn’t enforced

Edit: this place is getting dirtier and dirtier. Surprised the whole ceiling hasn’t collapsed either with the 20 buckets collecting water round the place (I know we’ve had bad rain, but the buckets have been a thing for years)

Edit: ignoring the filth, mould and general uncleanliness. The staff here have gotten so rude (minus the girl with blond hair and the Colombian girl who are always great , forget her name), it used to be incredibly friendly and welcoming.

The Persian lady and the young brunette Aussie girl who are usually on together on weekends spend more time gossiping and being rude to members than anything. Sort it out.

Edit: did a free trial at virgin, ten times better. Will we ever get new equipment or clean showers?

Edit: still not sure why we all pay so much for terrible facilities, some new photos attached. Some tips (1) bathrooms need a complete deep clean, not the light touch quarterly clean that happens, there is mould everywhere that needs removed (2) easy one, clean the wall of hair and fluff at the entrance (3) fix the leaks and ceilings, feels like we are in an office lock from the 80s (4) have your staff do rounds so the showers actually have soap (most don’t by the time I get there), stop the bins (and buckets) from overflowing, and feel the wipes up (5) stop lumping random equipment where it fits, think where it would logically go lol

Edit: close this place for a couple of days and clean and replace EVERYTHING. When I complain to management, they say they’ll let their cleaners know. This isn’t a normal cleaning fix, you need to fix the 10+ years of mould and terrible maintenance. Leaving 1st June for City Gym or Virgin if no improvement.

Edit: I’ve seen better conditions at a park gym.
Very versatile for callisthenics, and other weight training by bodyweight.

I play squash here and the roof is dodgy as. We have lost so many balls up in the holes filled with fluff. The fluff is disintegrating and falls out frequently.
We pay enough for the courts that it would be nice to not have wire and fluff falling down on the court and an abyss where balls are never to be seen again. Maybe they should provide balls???
I'm impressed with the lack of attention and service from the management.
There is always a broken machine, and it last in this stage for weeks and weeks.
Electric hazards and water liking is the day by day issue in this gym... I barely see the management taking care of the problems.
Unbelievable how the reception staff works soo close to a water liking area where everyone can see the electric connections and cables getting wet. (I have reported this issues to Sydney Council)
The water taps are always disgusting and full of mould.
A clear example.. the squad machine is broken for five weeks, I have asked the staff, and they said that is no answer from the manager.

The reception staff is always helpful and friendly tho.

Has 3 volleyball + Basketball and 6 Badminton courts which need to be booked beforehand as there isn't much space. The courts are not ventilated too well so get really hot in the summer but nothing too bad.

lovely place
Tha Facilities are Great, Highly Recommended. Especially the Weight Training, Cardio Equipment.
Hay really good can't wait to get back in too it
Nice spacious area with a few little fitness areas.
Self instructions on use of these structures. Rotate through all the structures on the Fitness Trail will test your fitness on all levels. The area is usually quiet for an inner city park. There is street parking and a carpark near the swimming pool. A land bridge crosses the Inner City Bypass which can give you access to more street parking.
Craft Fair wsa good
