Well sheltered snorkeling spot right on the beach! Best I've come across. It took me by surprise to see all the fishes. The water was warm and clear. 10/10 experience.
Skitzzz place definitely comming back everone chill af lots of fish nice tubes. Fuking brilliant 🤙🤙
Really good snorkling spot, seen some nice fish and fairly protected, the rocks don't have oysters so it's pretty safe
Beautiful little beach, very nice and quiet.

Dogs on leash at all times, enjoyed a late evening fish at high tide. Lots of snags, beautiful scenery. Plenty of mozzies and street lights.
Absolutely amazing area. Well worth the drive. Be sure to apply lots of sunscreen 🌞

Beautiful creek nestled between Burleigh Heads National Park on one side and Tallebudgera Beach on the other. Ideal for swimming and patrolled by lifeguards from 8am to 5pm, November through to April. It has parking available near its entrance, public toilets, picnic tables, shade structures and beaches showers.
Really awesome place.. shallow water..swimming friendly… space available for little hut… really busy Saturdays.. but, Sunday’s okay… 👍 difficult to find a parking spot
Just beautiful! Loved swimming and relaxing on the beach. Conveniently located just across from the holiday park.

This place is fantastic. Take a bag or tin of corn and feed the fish your kids and yourselves will love it. Snorkelling, swimming or just relaxing on the beach. It is bliss.

I met Him. : )
Beautiful clear waters, nice beach.
Beautiful safe area for a swim. Tidal lagoon behind ocean side of the beach has heaps of sand area for play. Dog and kid friendly. Surf lifesaving with amenities, and a cafe/kiosk on site. Snorkeled around the rock pools and saw eagle rays and 1000's of fish. Some soft and hard corals present near the river.

It's lovely to bring your family and friends here to get together in weekend and holiday
Fantastic place to snorkel or swim without being bowled over by waves. Some shade depending on time of day.

A great spot for a swim. Where the water is a little more protected.
It is close by to a decent amount of parking and a great park with all the facilities, toilet, picnic tables, bbq's etc.
Lovely little spot, we came at low tide and the rocks put my kids off. It would better at high tide for families interested in paddling rather than snorkeling. Would have loved to have had chance to snorkel here.

I told my kids to bring their swimming clothes but they didn't and now they regret their choices. The beach was rather inviting with a cool breeze and soft sand, so my kids immidently waded in, to report back with tales of different species of fish they had spotted in the water. The playground near by provided shade and barbeques for an afternoon or lunchtime snack with plenty of cover. Overall The Basin was a fun place for both me and my kids, although my car is still slightly wet and sandy.

A beautiful place for a morning walk along the fore shore with your fury friends. Pack a picnic or take an early morning dip. In winter you can see whales frolic from the head lands. Beautiful part of the world 🤩💙

A stunning beach with very fine sand. Dogs are not allowed on some parts of this beach, and it wasn't too clear regarding other parts. Very clean beach and a few small shallow areas when the tide is out which is great for little ones. A few nesting birds on one side of the beach area too.

Nice place to bring kids. Less crowded on weekdays. 3 hours of free parking available. Coffee shops close by. Will be a nice day out for young kids since the creek is ideal for them to be monitored whilst in water.

Loved the beach here but found that some dog owners had their bigger dogs off leash when entering and leaving and on the beach . The parks were clean and tidy and grass fresh . Thank you to the Council for their maintenance of a beautiful family and dog friendly environment.
Nice creek to bring your kids. Parking is limited and only for three hours. There are toilet and shower facilities and coffee shops. You can go under the bridge to see nice sea creatures such as oysters, and crabs. Also after crossing the bridge can walk into the Burleigh Heads forest.
This spot is most epic... We went stand up paddle boarding in the ocean here... Flat as a tack, the hubby did a drift snorkel around the heads... Kids had a ball rock hopping and inspecting the rock pools.

Tallebudgera Creek is a great place to bring your whole family (including your lovable pets). Kids will enjoy swimming in the shallows. But parents should always be watchful with their kids as the current can be so strong sometimes. The good thing is, lifesavers are stationed all over the creek and some are patrolling the water. You can also do a lot of water activities like stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, etc.
If you want to have a picnic, there are some tables that you can use. Or you could just pitch your own tent. If you could not bring your own food, there is a food stall in the area. There is also a playground to keep the children busy. Those with dogs can walk them along the beach which is located at the end of the creek.
If you want to go there, plan your trip well. Going there on a weekday may also be better. But if you must go on a weekend or a holiday, be there early, like around 6am, because parking is so limited. We went there on the new year of 2020. And we reached the area around 7:30am, and the parking is already full.

This is a fantastic spot. The basin is sheltered by a rock wall which makes it a great place for families. The park & facilities right nearby are excellent. In addition, we had a great time snorkeling in the basin - there was a huge amount of fish & interesting things to see. A really good spot for beginner snorkeling.
Bella piscina posta lungo la passeggiata che dalla spiaggia di Manly porta a Shelly Beach.
