I don't often crave sushi but when I do this is my go To. Service is always excellent and the food is always delicious. The place is always clean and I would definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Its the best sushi place ever. The sashimi tastes so fresh and it melts in your mouth. This place is my favourite restaurant!

Got kfc because I haven’t had it in a while. The gravy was great and the fries tasted ok. The fries and chicken were really dark. Didn’t seem to be over cooked, just bad oil quality. Sucks when it’s not a cheap meal and I don’t eat it often.
Nice quiet spot for sushi. All you can eat at this restaraunt with tablets for ordering. Went for dinner with some friends. sushi is really fresh. Service is really good. I especially liked the miso soup.
Prices are about average for all you can eat dinner.
Convenient location and near the 404.

Would go again and do recommend anyone going that is interested in a quiet spot for sushi.
Had lunch as a group of 6. Portion size was extremely small for $22-$25 (chicken/beef kebob with rice and coleslaw). Had shared appetizers - babaganoush, calamari which was good. Our bill was almost $100 due to 2 drinks, 2 entrees and an 18% gratuity that is not listed anywhere on their website or told to us prior to ordering. Service was ok as we were there shortly after they opened so it wasn't too busy. The cost of food and portion size was very disproportionate. I could get the same cost and more from Jimmy the Greek (rice, potatoes, Greek salad and some protein). I would not recommend this place. The food wasn't even worthy of a photo, that's how disappointing it was.
Friendly service, clean and modern looking restaurant, food however, was somewhat bland and lacking strong flavor. Thai taste simply not present in the dish.

New favourite Vietnamese restaurant! My bun bo hue was delicious, super hot and flavourful. Great portion for a great price. Really nice service as well! Food came out so fast but everything was so fresh.
This is kind of a hidden place at the 3rd floor of the building in China Town. From downstairs you won’t feel anything like upstairs. Once you get into the restaurant, you will wonder where all these people came from! The dim sum is always excellent. The ladies pushing the dim sum carts are always eager to provide anything they have. Price is fine. A good place to go if you down to some good dim sum and don’t mind the crowds.
Amazing food. Attentive staff. Good service. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their food. Would definitely go again.

It was really really really busy when we went.... we waited in line for about 10 min and then another 10 just to get our meal. Which was only the crunch combo. There was just the 2 girls working and not the best English which made it difficult to even understand. It wasn't very clean inside either.

The big crunch sammich tho! Oh so amazing
Akimi Japanese Cuisine is a sushi lover's paradise. Their sushi is unparalleled; every bite bursts with freshness and flavor. The artful presentation is a testament to their dedication to perfection. What truly elevates the experience is the exceptional staff. The employees at Akimi are a delightful blend of attentive and knowledgeable, always willing to guide you through their extensive menu. They add a personal touch to every visit, making you feel like a valued guest. Akimi is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey where sushi dreams come true, thanks to their outstanding offerings and the warm hospitality of their employees.
We have been supporting this adorable family run and owned restaurant for years!! They’re so nice! We get the dinner for two every Friday from them :) the chicken balls are massive and delicious, the wings are so crispy and the chop suey is so fresh. Also love the rice, corn soup and crispy beef. Will always support them!
Good price and tax included.

Pho - tastes clean and refreshing, but broth could be a tiny bit richer.

Shrimp rolls - called salad rolls on the menu. Good value, but no crunch. Could use some sprouts or more mint or basil.

Bahn mi - crispy bread, good value

A small ma and pa shop with a homey atmosphere. But condiments should be refilled more often, and water should be given without asking.
They have a variety of homemade desserts you can take home as well.
Good restaurant! The rice and vermicelli were great.
The owners are nice!

The service was great. Young girl working the front alone. It was really busy. Steady line up. This girl was calm, very polite, and professional. Did the work of three with a smile. She gets the 5 stars.
Staff is really nice and portions are great. If you are into american chinese food then this place is the go to
Really disappointed with the food. I ordered orange chicken, General Tao chicken and Shanghai noodles.
The noodles was atleast eatable but the two chicken dishes were really bad. We couldn’t even finish the meal because it was making my stomach ache. When we checked the chicken it was just a ball of pooped up dough; with barely any chicken in it. Really not sure if they ran out of chicken while cooking but decided to go ahead anyway or changed cooks or something but this felt like a real rip off; we paid for nothing
It was my first time going to an authentic Dim Sum restaurant where they push the carts around and you pick what you want for the carts. The dim sum was really good and we had a great dining experience there for sure, all the workers were really nice and friendly as well, they’d show me what they have in the steamers when I didn’t understand what dim sum they had.

Food was good, although delayed. Reasonably priced too
Seriously best dim sum in North America. Better than any in NYC. Food is fast, tasty, piping hot. Portion sizes are just right. Feels just like Hong Kong decades ago when dim sum was still excellent.
NOTE: you walk into the building mall then turn left and you walk up the stairs. I LOVE HOW IT IS ALL DAY DIM SUM!!! The food was overall really good— I was impressed with how it looked like a regular dim sum spot but it was so beautiful and the food tasted great. The 麻婆豆腐、千層糕,皮蛋蘇,and 蝦煎餅 were all outstanding!! The only one that was pretty bad was the xiaolongbao/ pork dumpling. Usually xiaolongbao is supposed to be very wet and soupy inside but this was dry and it had NO FLAVOUr!? That is a signifier northern Chinese dish how can you not make it good?!?! But other then that the service is really nice, the servers are hardworking and are consistent with checking up with you. However some only speak Cantonese, and some speak Cantonese and English. So not all servers understand Mandarin…
It was already packed around 11am on Sunday but we were able to get seated right away. The portions of food were good but the cart barely got to us before they ran out of food. I was extremely happy to have soft tofu (豆花) in sugar sauce. I loved that it was very authentic.
One of the best sushi places so far! It’s gorgeous, clean and cozy inside and the food is always amazing! We buy there at least once or twice a week for many years now and never got disappointed! Always fresh and great taste! Even homemade soy sauce is incredible!
Love their maki trays, tempuras, volcano sushi are my fave there

Lobster was excellent. They try to put auto gratuity for only 2 people at 15%. Then the machine asks for more tip. Other than that tasty restaurant
Great food ! Great service!
I really recommend the mix of meats.
Great DimSum and certainly a Chinatown experience. Nice mix of guests. The service was a bit messy and we never got our rice but the food was great and the atmosphere what we expected. The place in huge and I imagine it often has Chinese parties celebrating (as was the case when we visited) which adds to the friendly chaos. We enjoyed it and would certainly recommend to people looking for some “authentic” food.

Grabbed lunch with friends. Food was fantastic and our server, Leigh, was awesome, everything we ordered came out in a timely manner! Would recommend.
A mediocre Thai restaurant with rather unfriendly staffs.

I’ve ordered their Tom Yum noodle soup and my friend got the green curry, in which we were both disappointed.

For a bland Tom Yum noodle soup with chicken meats that’s hard as a rock, paying more than $22 seemed like a slight ripoff when there are other restaurants that serves better Thai noodle soup.

Extremely delicious !!
Very good service... Nice business hours... Good for groups...
Just 2 observations...
Put more attention how clean are the restrooms and be careful in the Bill... That show a gratuity fee but when you pay, the machine ask for tip ( another fee )... Then you could pay double tip.
I'll recommend this restaurant as a really good place
The fragrant eggplant was amazing - good eggplant dishes are hard to beat in my book!, Everything else I tried was alsoreally good. Highly recommended, as long as you are happy with vegetarian - only.

Too much oil in the food, we use napkins to take out the excessive oil. Pork was uncooked, very hard to chew. They charge tip already even though you were not satisfied with the food and staff. Very much disappointed. Please don’t waste your money and time here.

Stepping into New Ho King, a renowned Chinese restaurant nestled on Spadina Avenue in Toronto, was like entering a gateway to an evening of culinary delight. Our group of four friends eagerly anticipated our Sunday dinner, arriving promptly at 7 PM. To our delight, the restaurant wasn't overly crowded, but there was a constant buzz of activity with takeout orders flying out the door.

We were promptly seated at a table that seemed almost too large for our group, adorned with a Lazy Susan at its center. This thoughtful touch allowed us to effortlessly share our dishes, adding an interactive element to our dining experience. As we settled in, we couldn't help but admire the lively atmosphere and the wafting aroma of delectable Chinese cuisine.

With menus in hand, we embarked on a gustatory adventure, selecting a diverse array of dishes that tempted our taste buds. The rice noodles with beef and soy sauce caught our attention, promising a harmonious blend of flavors. The fried rice with barbeque pork beckoned to those craving something savory, while the spicy, crispy beef ignited our palates with a tantalizing heat. We also ordered a delightful combination of tofu and mushrooms, succulent barbeque pork, and sizzling beef served on a hot plate.

As the dishes began to arrive at our table, anticipation grew. The first bite of the rice noodles was like a burst of savory perfection, each strand coated in a rich, flavorful sauce. The tender barbeque pork nestled within the fragrant fried rice, creating a symphony of textures and tastes. The spicy, crispy beef danced on our tongues, leaving us craving more with each bite. The tofu and mushroom dish was a delightful vegetarian option, showcasing the chef's skill in creating a well-balanced medley of flavors.

We couldn't help but indulge ourselves as the evening progressed. The food was so delicious that I found myself returning to the rice noodles and fried rice repeatedly, filling my bowl six to seven times. The quality of each dish was exceptional, a testament to the years of culinary expertise that New Ho King has honed.

Glancing around the restaurant, I couldn't help but appreciate the diverse crowd. People from various backgrounds and cultures had come together, united by their love for the incredible cuisine offered by New Ho King. It was heartwarming to witness such a blend of humanity in one space, sharing smiles and enjoying the flavors that brought us all together.

Throughout our dining experience, the service was attentive and efficient. Despite the restaurant's popularity, the staff made sure our food arrived promptly, ensuring we never had to wait long. Their dedication to providing excellent service was evident, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout the evening.

As our plates emptied and our laughter filled the air, we couldn't help but reflect on the memorable evening we had spent at New Ho King. This restaurant's continued success since the 1970s is no coincidence. It's a testament to their commitment to delivering outstanding Chinese cuisine and providing an inviting atmosphere that keeps customers coming back for more.

Without a doubt, I will be returning to New Ho King for another exceptional dining experience. If you find yourself in Toronto and craving authentic and mouthwatering Chinese cuisine, I wholeheartedly recommend venturing to Spadina Avenue and immersing yourself in the delightful flavors of New Ho King.

To KFC St Thomas

1. The girl that was training today.. you need to smile and learn customer service. You look miserable and your training of the new staff looked disappointing.
2. To the training staff that came frim behind the counter drinking her water bottle followed by filling it back up at the customer fountain station..that is disgusting.. u just had your lips around that bottle
3. The food rating would be a 4/10
The fries were warm (had to ask for new ones)
The zinger was made upside down and the chicken was not even hot.
4. The attitude from the back to the front when commenting that a Skip order was sitting there for almost an hour was uncalled for and then the rolling of the eyes from the counter staff.

You all need to work on enjoying your jobs or find new ones

VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS VISIT

Had lunch specials, was good
Friendly staff here, the atmosphere was nice.. there were little bugs on our table at the front window, but we are downtown and hard to regulate these things. One of those kill it and move on and enjoy meal😊

p.s.
a homeless person came in to ask for food, and I was completely impressed with the restaurant's compassion. They invited the individual in to sit, and they fed her 🥰

You got me always coming back now
Thank you
Dim Sum King in Toronto offers decent but unremarkable food, accompanied by average service. While the restaurant proudly displays famous people who have dined there, the overall experience fails to impress.

Very disappointed with the chicken I bought last night. The chicken pieces looked like they were from lunchtime and was sooo dry!
It was purchased at 3:46 pm. Pictures says it all! The chicken tenders were perfect.
Very disappointing to say the least…might have to start going into London.
Its a small Thai restaurant in Downtown. I am a Vegetarian and not many Thai restaurants are veg friendly but this one has an amazing Vegetarian dedicated menu in addition to regular sea food & chicken/pork menu. they have great delicious exotic dishes .. I had their crispy rice with Mushrooms and vegetables and cannot forget the taste for a week. I want to go here again. I tried Mushroom skewer they were also extraordinary.. pricing wise it is very feasible 15$ per person without the drinks. I am a huge fan of this place.
It is a small sitting place but food is outstanding .. they have all the variety of food - Vegan, Sea food, Chicken, Pork etc.

This is a favourite Sunday evening haunt. Lovely decor features typical Thai imagery, very restful and serene.

The food is uniformly good, from presentation to portion size and taste.

I enjoy the soups which are served piping hot in a stoneware crock, always delicious, and very warming in bad weather. I tend to add an appetiser to round out my meal, the spring rolls and satay are delicious.

Menu offerings will appeal to all palates, with main dishes from mild to spicy, all with the layered flavours typical of this cuisine.

Many vegetarian options on offer, and the menu itself is very helpful for anyone with dietary restrictions, with icons highlighting specific ingredients.

Service is friendly and attentive

Busy take out and delivery app business for those who prefer that option

NB Facilities are located down a wide staircase, but the railing is good so it is navigable by those with mobility issues

Highly recommended

The food was really not good, it was not what I expected, but it was also no good quality: Noodles drowned in undefined sauce with one kind of tasteless vegetable and suspicious beef. The spiced broccoli was quite tasty, but difficult to eat.
Service was not really friendly. Maybe he was, but he didn’t like to communicate with his customers.
Tips would be charged automatically on the bill.
What I liked: they served tea instead of taped water, but never the less, I recommend to avoid this place.

Wonderful place, the tom yum soup was so good , the cashew pad Thai was nice too . Great service and atmosphere! Our waitress was super nice !
My favourite place to eat. The vibe is amazing and the food always delicious and such great portions. Never disappointed. Everything I have tried, I have loved. The manager goes above and beyond to make all customers happy. The waiters so friendly and caring.
Tried a Vietnamese restaurant here because it's close to home, and it turns out that all the menus are delicious. 4 of us came, I ordered spice duck noodle 👍👍👍, and 3 other menus BBQ pork and chicken with rice 👍👍👍, BBQ pork buns are also delicious. the taste of the gravy is not much msg like other restaurants. What is very pleasant is the super service, it feels like eating mother's cooking at home. for sure I will come back to eat here.
Decent for a quick bite. Their thai green curry was good, tasted healthy. We also ordered dumplings that we liked. We tried the seafood fried rice as well but don’t recommend it, it tastes artificial. Would go back
Staff and owners (I think it’s family owned and run) are all friendly, and the food is pretty decent. It falls between good but isn’t great. Standout dishes I’ve had was the Almond Chicken Soo Guy and the rest are basically at the good level. It tastes much like a decent neighborhood Chinese spot. They used to have done-in but seem to have scrapped that and just do take-out, now. The only dish I had that was bad was the Shanghai Noodle. It lacked flavor and just tasted bland, but most other dishes are as described, pretty good. The prices are a bit high, but not out of the range you’ll find in Spadina. If you’re craving Chinese food it will do the trick.
This is a fantastic restaurant! Pad Thai is my favorite dish, and the spring rolls are so crispy and delicious. I also really enjoy the Thai Fire Rice. Every time I go downtown, I make sure to visit this place. Even my baby enjoys the food and the owner is incredibly friendly. They even gave some snacks for my child as a gift.
Highly recommended. Been going here a few years now and noticeably better lately. Try the lemon chicken! Big portions and lots of veggies.
It was okay. I had their Pad Thai chicken lunch special. They serve it with salad and soup, and spring rolls. The soup had some unprocessed parts of vegetables that shouldn't go into the soup. Pad thai noodles were flavourful, but barely any chicken in the dish.

It is a good deal overall if you are hungry; their specials are priced well.

I’m puzzled by the low rating of this restaurant since among the downtown Toronto Chinatown restaurants, I would say New Ho King is one of the most consistent when it comes to food quality/quantity and pricing.

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years and the food we normally ordered still taste the same - flavourful, and servings are generous compared to other Chinatown restaurants. Everyone in this restaurant are very pleasant from the Manager (guy) to the servers and always say hi and thank you to customers. Not even once did we experienced rude service.

This is also one of the few restaurants in Toronto that rewards cash discounting to customers - offers 10% off your bill if you pay cash. One time, they got 1 of our order wrong and was given automatically a discount in our bill without even asking for it.

We’re a fan of their Ho King Special Sizzling Chili Chicken in Hot Pot (bone-in). Crispy and flavourful is how to best describe this dish. Tender marinated chicken fried until crispy with lots of spring onions makes this a delightful dish and something that you want to eat over and over again.

Another fave is their Deep Fried Calamari with Spicy Salt. Squids are perfectly coated in a well-seasoned batter and flavoured with spice mixture. Very addictive and pairs well with rice/fried rice.

I could go on and on about how wonderful their food is but if you haven’t tried this place maybe you should give it a chance if ever you’re in the Chinatown area. Bonus point - they’re open late or until the wee hours so good for late Chinese cravings.
I have been coming here for twenty plus years and the taste of the Bun Mi Phuc Kien stays the same. I was happy to see they only increased the price by $1 on their menu items due to the pandemic inflation unlike other restaurants who have gone up 30-50%. This hole-in-wall family little restaurant carry the traditional Phuc Kien noodle authenticity by the same owner for as long as I have known this place. 💕

Service was nice and friendly but food took too long to make - waited 40 mins for my dish. They said it was because they are very busy at the time but it didn’t really seem packed? They did offer me a complimentary soda for the wait which was appreciated.

I had ordered a Pad Thai with chicken and tiger shrimp. But unfortunately was underwhelmed as the shrimp did not taste like it was throughly cooked and mixed with noodles and sauce. I found it just okay and for almost $19 I had higher expectations.

Booked a space for a private party and could not have been happier with the service, decor, food, and venue. Reba made sure our day was perfect! Can not thank her enough! Will absolutely be returning in the future.
I had the Rainbow Trout which comes with Israeli couscous and veggies. Everything was cooked and seasoned well and the portion size, especially for the grilled vegetables, was generous. The hibiscus lemonade cocktail was lightly floral and very refreshing.

My partner had a lamb burger with Gorgonzola and fries. I tried the fries and they were fantastic.

The atmosphere was nice and service attentive. Prices are what you’d expect based on the quality of the food.
Great quality and flavours. Portions are generous. Beer was cold and properly poured. Pictured is the lamb burger with Gorgonzola. Exceeded expectations. Fires - something many restaurants skimp on - were hot and fresh.
The foods served in this restaurant was absolutely divine ! The fruit sushi were sweet, crunchy filled fruits inside with a chewy wrap. They have varieties of sushi you can't find on other Japanese sushi restaurant, server's we're accommodating, and our orders came very fast! Overall the foods served were exquisite! We Highly recommended Akimi! One if the Best Japanese restaurant
The food was ok. The Cesar salad was supposed to have croutons but it didn't, it didn't have bacon, it costs $15 and it would cost $10 to add chicken which is a little outrageous. The shawarma was good. Quantities are generous. The patio is great.

One of my favourite spots to dine in for Chinese food - the portions are generous, dishes freshly made, with awesome flavour. Their crispy beef & gailan in garlic sauce are both delicious.

The sad thing is that the delivery is not nearly as good as dine in 🥺

Ziplunch is awesome! I've ordered several times now and the food has been consistently fresh, warm, and delicious at a great price. Found lots of good restaurants I wouldn't have tried otherwise. The service has always been professional and reliable and they communicate any delays (only happened once) right away. Can't say the same for doordash/ubereats and would much rather support local businesses.
I ordered
- Seafood rice noodle
- Steamed rice flour with Shrimp cake

The order was delivered on time and well-packed. Good amount for the price.
You need to use your bowl to mix themsince all containers are full. The seafood noodle has 2 Shrimps, 2 Scallops and 4 seafood balls in it. I liked the taste.
The steamed rice flour was a bit too sticky for me. The Shrimp cake was good. It has a topping of lettuce, carrot, cucumber and wheat germ.

Hello. My name is Jason Lee, owner of Korean Village Restaurant. My review is based on my experiences with the ZipLunch staff and their amazing business model.

Without ZipLunch's support, we would have experienced much more financial hardship trying to keep our restaurant going.

The ZipLunch staff are amazing. From the front office that handles orders to the drivers, everyone is kind, thoughtful, punctual, and an absolute pleasure to work with.

My wife, the staff, and I are truly thankful for everything ZipLunch did for us, and continues to do for us to this day.

By supporting ZipLunch, you support restaurants such as ours and it means so much. We are truly thankful and we hope that you enjoy every meal from ZipLunch.

Sincerely,
Jason Lee

Goodbye Ubereats, Skipthedishes, Doordash, and Foodora. Food arrives on time and always hot. No more paying $20 for a $7 item. Zip charges the same price (and usually even LESS) than the restaurant and there is no price mark up, service fee, delivery fee, etc. Zip is disrupting the food delivery space and it's almost too good to be true. Menu changes daily and the options are excellent. They always pick the best restaurants in each food category for their weekly menus. App is also awesome and makes ordering even easier.

I learn't off Ziplunch after it was highly recommended by a local Facebook group. I was most impressed with the level of service and customer care. The prices on the app are significantly cheaper than that of other delivery apps, the service is impeccable and the choice from the curated menus are fantastic. They cater for all dietary requirements including vegan, vegetarian and gluten which is fantastic. The delivery guy was also super friendly and courteous. The app couln't have come at a better time, when corporate giants like Uber Eats, Skip the Dishes and Door Dash are charging exorbitant fees to consumers and restaurant owners. With ZipLunch delivery is free or there is no service charge. Well done to the team behind who created the concept. I will certainly be highly recommending the app to family and friends.

This is now my go-to food delivery app! The restaurant options are delicious and healthy, the food prices are very reasonable and the customer service is top-notch. I reported an issue and they promptly followed up and resolved it. If you want hassle-free and affordable delivery, use ZipLunch. You won't be disappointed!
If you are looking for classic North-Americanized Chinese takeout (with a couple traditional dishes thrown into the menu mix) and you live downtown, then this is the place. Reasonable prices, the typical overflowing takeout container full of chop suey, chicken balls, sweet and sour sauce and fried rice (with actual egg, a rarity with similar style restaurants, I find) and bonus- hot and sour soup and spring roll. I wish they had egg rolls rather than spring rolls, but hey, for the price, I can't complain. I would like to add that the staff are super friendly. Note: closed on Tuesdays.

Low Calorie Plans is delicious, healthy and guilt free. I get to enjoy delicious home style cooked meals while also being able to maintain my ideal healthy weight! I can not recommend their service enough, simply amazing!
This place is pretty good. It has some special rolls that you wouldn't find anywhere else, otherwise. Their picked ginger roll and special seaweed sushi is worth trying!! It has good vegetarian options, as well as lots of non veg and sushi!
The staff isn't the friendliest, but good thing we have iPads to order all you can eat!!
