WillowWood School has changed my life forever in a very positive way. I knew from the minute I joined WillowWood School back in September 2008 as a Grade 7 student, that was the school that was going to change me socially and emotionally (academically, I have always done very well). As an individual like myself with autism, social skills are a struggle. WillowWood gave me the confidence to find those skills again. At my high school graduation, I was one of the two valedictorians. Fred, Joy, and to the teachers at WillowWood, you have changed my life forever.
My sister is a teacher here
We couldn't be happier with the education and support my children receive at Discovery Academy! The teachers are not only dedicated and passionate about their work but also go above and beyond to ensure each student thrives. The school puts emphasis on great education, strong sense of community and inclusivity, great environment overall!
One of my kids is in grade 8 and the second one is in grade 1, I highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a nurturing and enriching environment for their child(ren)!
My son has been in the school for a year. I highly recommend Century Private School. The nurturing environment, passionate educators, and emphasis on hands-on learning have created a perfect space for our child's growth. The Montessori method's focus on independence and creativity shines through in every aspect of the curriculum. My son has learned a lot and enjoy going to school everyday. we can not thank more for the school to provide such a great care and environment for our son.
I went to the summer camp in 2018. There was an old lady there who was yelling at me for no reason and I was only 6 years old. I saw that staff member as Nelson Muntz.

Noodle Bar, unfortunately, falls short in various aspects, rendering it an unappealing option for discerning consumers. Firstly, the taste of their noodles is a significant letdown, lacking the expected richness and savory flavors that patrons anticipate from a reputable noodle establishment. The quality of the ingredients, particularly the noodles, leaves much to be desired, resulting in a rather bland and uninspiring culinary experience. Adding to the disappointment is the subpar customer service, where numerous complaints highlight the staff's lack of attentiveness, indifference to customer concerns, and an overall disregard for the patrons' dining experience. This neglect for customer satisfaction reflects poorly on the brand, dissuading potential repeat business and tarnishing its standing within the competitive food industry. In summary, Noodle Bar fails to deliver on both taste and service, making it an unfortunate choice for those seeking a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience.
I see a lot of bad reviews and i understand a lot of them. There are teachers that don't care for sure, but that's the case with every school. Most of them are amazing. Just a few of them would be: Mr. Lau, Mrs. Gordon-Rak, Ms. Prasoulis, Ms. Rizzi, Ms. Gillard, Ms. Miller (teacher..i agree with the principal comments), Mrs. Brown, Mme. Kwok, Mr. Ursi, Ms. Palmisano, Ms. Sofos, Ms. Cheung (teacher), most of the office staff are great too, and more. The place definitely hasn't been the same since Mr. Matt left (if you know, you know) but it isn't a bad school. It has flaws but so does every school. And as for the air conditioning: on hot days, most teachers will schedule your class a time in the library or gym as those two areas of the school, as well as the portables, do have very nice air conditioning.

The environment is overall very friendly. The kids are good to each other (except the gr7 and 8s because middle-school age :/ what can you do) and as long as you try to avoid beef, even with the 7 and 8s, everyone is really nice. Very positive environment, and you would be REALLY surprised at how the school has 900 kids and doesn't feel overcrowded lol. This is coming from someone who hates crowds.

I've been at this school since the day it opened for classes when I was in JK, so I think I have a right to say I know what the school has been like and what it's like now. It's good now, it was amazing with Mr. Matt. The few bad teachers are easier to deal with because of all the great teachers that you will see majority of the time. I will miss this place so much. It has its' flaws, and I'm not denying that. All of the reviews have valid points, but most of the bad ones don't give more than one reason and are over-exaggerated.

To make things clear, I am a girl and I have low vision. This makes teachers treat me better sometimes, but the ones I mentioned above, I have seen be amazing with everyone. I do NOT appreciate the ones like Mr. Anderson who will treat me great and others badly. The other guys are right. Watch out for him and Mr. Hayward, but other than those two and the principal, really, I love this place.
Garbage school. Teachers are moved around from 8th grade to kindergarden disiplining the children the wrong way. This is why middle schools are nessissary. Among the bad teachers are teachers that are nice to students, but overall, just move to stonebridge if you want a school that doesnt pressure your kids into changing sexuality.

A lack of politeness as teachers are not that understanding the bathroom always have water on the ground.
This place is so doo doo most populated elementary school in yrdsb but it STILL BROKE like buddy where my freakin over night trip at😭🙏
I can confidently recommend Discovery Academy High School.
The first and most important point is that every teacher does everything in their power to make all students feel comfortable, yet at the same time not too relaxed.
They find a special approach to everyone, so all of the learners can reveal themselves as unique individuals. Moreover, they get prepared for the big world not only from the side of grades, but also from the side of “street” knowledge. For which I thank this educational institution very much.
I graduated in 2022, but still keep in touch with certain teachers and school principals.
Discovery Academy enormously changed me as a person and prepared me for adult life, which I will never forget.
I gladly suggest it!
Bruh I went here for one week to try English school (I went to French immersion before) and it sucked i literally cried everyday. For starters all the teachers are rude and unkind to even new students and also the classes are so small and ghetto with so many students and hot and crowded. A bunch of guys I didn’t even know would literally chase me and PUNCH me and my friends at recess and they were annoying asl. I never realized how nice my school was before going to this school for one week in grade six. I’m in grade eight now acps for the win

I highly recommend Century Private School. It excels in providing a nurturing environment for students, fostering academic excellence and personal growth. The dedicated staff ensures a holistic education, and the well-rounded curriculum prepares students for future success. A truly exceptional institution committed to shaping bright minds.
My son enjoys his school experience and feels that it's the best school he has attended. Having a learning environment where teachers actively engage with students, provide explanations, and encourage understanding rather than simply assigning homework is valuable.

Our children studied at this school in 2023. We really liked everything. Very high academic level. Management works very well, everything is systematic. The school itself is large, beautiful, with a large football field. If you live north of Richmond Hill, getting to school is relatively easy. The only thing is that it was a little difficult for our children to communicate at the beginning, because most of the children are from Iran and China. Wonderful, well-mannered children, there were just a few difficulties in communication. We highly recommend this school!
the most trash school bro they can even talk how about the principal

when you walk on the campus you can legit feel all the life being sucked out.

10/10 Love the students and people
5/10 teachers are a fifity/fifty
WORST SCHOOL EVER! Ever since 2021, the school has only gone downhill. Staff are NOT understanding and is inappropriate with their attitude. Worst of all is the principle, she absolutely is not in a appropriate state to be a principal, we’ve tried emailing school and faculty does NOT respond! This school is a total prison where kids are made to do work like robots and don’t have creative mindsets or freedom, & the staff absolutely don’t care about it, in fact, they encourage it. In extreme temperature, kids are made to stay outside for “playtime/recess” & cannot go in to use the restroom. If you have any sanity, please for the love of the Lord, DON’T COME HERE OR SUPPORT THIS SCHOOL!

My cousin goes here. It is a very bad & cheap school, please beware of Pamelia Miller, the principle as shes not fit to be a principle. Staff ain’t friendly and no one cares about mental health. Beware of these teachers: Scott Anderson, John Haward, Vice Principle Liu and The principle Pamelia miller!! They are not hospitable and I can see the negative impact they have on my cousin and friends that go to the school! Transfer to Stonebridge P.S as there is better staff & management!
I had so much fun at Willowwood. I had best experience with all my teachers and I made lots of friends
the principal here (pamela miller) is the worst and is NOT understanding!! do not go here the teachers here do not care about students and the office does not listen to another sides perspective.

This school is really awful. My child had two supply teachers in grade 7 &8
They were not knowledgeable and my son even doesn’t like to go to high school. They killed his interest.
The graduation ceremony was just like a funeral.
They honored some students and other students and their parents had to sit and watch them.
Ridiculous
I wish I never sent my son to Roselawn p.s
Me as a student this school is very bad the vice principal is very strict she believes everyone who is lying and the children are so rude they keep on cussing and are very bulgur and the teachers don’t care at all thank you for my time I do not recommend this school plus the teachers don’t care and they give the wrong grades to students I get A+ in every science test and my teachers gave a B in science on my report card

Dear Mellissa,

My son is at his second week of summer camp and loving it!

It is so wonderful to see him happily running off to play with his new friends, hearing he is enjoying each of his morning subjects and making requests for future playdates.

WillowWood and your team have been kind, welcoming and accommodating. I feel great relief when I drop him off knowing he is in good hands and he's happy.

Thank you, thank you☺️
I have taken mathematics courses at Discovery Academy. I have never experienced education as good as this private school has provided me with. The teachers are incredible at their job, and encouraged me with my studies. I strongly suggest anyone to take courses in this school

We were at graduation ceremony last night and we parents are desperate about the Award Show! Yes I call it show as it was not acceptable. I am happy and congrats students who awarded but why they did this show in grad ceremony and with parents? They had to do it in school, not in the ceremony. My daughter was so upset and she hadn't enjoyed the party after at all. Her friends were awarded, and it was discouraging for others who actually were good at their job but they didnt make to an award.
So what?
Discovery Academy is a commendable school that excels in its math and science focus. The young and passionate teachers and ample student support contribute to a well-rounded educational experience. I would highly recommend this school to students who have a keen interest in these subjects and are looking for an engaging and supportive learning environment.

I cant say enough good things about WillowWood. It is a community of amazing teachers, students and parents who want only the best for your child. My son has just finished his first year here (grade 2) and has thrived . It is a great feeling knowing he is in a supportive environment that comes up with solutions to your child's learning challenges. Overall, he couldnt be happier.
could be better kinda sucked
My son attended WillowWood from grade 8 to grade 12. I wish I had him start earlier. Quality education with an informal atmosphere that develops trust and confidence.
My daughter joined WillowWood summer school when she was in grade 8 to see if this is the right fit for her for high school. Her experience was amazing she did not mind studying in the summer which shows how happy she was. The teachers were so nice and helpful and answered all my questions with a big smile always. She is about to finish her first year and she is really enjoying her time studying and participating in all the extra activities they offer. As a parent I always wanted to make sure my daughter is happy safe learning and enjoying her time all this is offered by Williwwood. As a mom I can say I am so lucky to have found the school from the teachers to the administrators they are amazing and I can’t thank them enough for all their hard work patience understanding and support. The school organizes lots of activities and they try their best to let all the kids participate from the Christmas show to the yearly trip which was Japan this year (my daughter was lucky enough to go she had a blast and the trip was so organized from start to finish) to the play Annie to the spring fest. All this fun and still the kids are studying and working hard to reach their potential with the non ending support of the teachers. I can see all the improvements and changes that happened to my daughter and I am so happy and thankful for each and everyone in the school.

The school has no air conditioning and we had 2 supply teachers in a row for two school years and the teachers did not even come back.
The environment is very bad and they don't care about the mental safety of the students. The new principal has a very bad attitude and a complex. I am very upset that my child is in this school.
horrible school. There is no air conditioning and the school is broke. When the school got "new" computers this year, the warranty ended on April 22 2022( one year ago). The school is also ad at managing their budget because they spent a few thousand dollars on the grad trip venue rather that the Actual grad trip. (we are going to skyzone, then bowling/movies)
How do I put it. Education is a service, not a product. The problem with most private school out there is that they see themselves as an organization selling a product. A product is something that you need to learn to use it, regardless of how sophisticated or ordinary it is. A service is something that serves you, assist you in doing what you need to do, in this case, would be learning and realizing your potential. My son is thriving in all area since the beginning of his arrival at the school, they put him in the math pod a grade higher, and he feels challenged so he would focus, and the help is always there if he needs further clarification. It is a small school but as a person who came from another small private school (in fact it was slightly bigger), they have all the things that a big school has (of course, except for the number of headcounts), a cafeteria where socialization happens during lunch (who wants to eat at your work station), library with librarian, lunch and after school clubs almost everyday, an art room for art class (and they teach arts, not just crafts to young children, if you know what I mean by that). And communication is very transparent, and honest. A great team of people.
Best experience I have had in middle school . The teachers really took there time and effort to really bring out the best in their potential.
from a former student, i can say this school was great. all the teachers were helpful and supportive, and i can imagine the new ones are the same. definitely would go here if your looking to enroll your kid into a new school

Quantum Academy was an unforgettable and rewarding experience for me! Teachers are super caring, the environment is conducive to helping me learn and the quality of education I received is very high and prepared me extremely well for university. I am greatly appreciative of all the guidance and education I got from my years at Quantum and recommend the school to everyone who wants to be successful in academia. With the help of Quantum I was able to get in and stay in my dream school, McGill University. Not only that, but the work ethic, guidance, skills and knowledge I learned from Quantum drove me to pursue a PhD in Physiology and teach lab courses at McGill. If I hadn’t come to Quantum for high school, I wouldn’t have become excited about science and discovered and pursued my passion for academia and teaching. Thank you a million times Quantum Academy!
I've been going to this school for 8 years, here is my honest opinion.
Staff : Staff are very helpful and easy going.
They provide free lunch or snacks if you dont have one or
whatever the case may be.
Teachers : I love all my teachers over the years so far they are pretty nice.
One thing is they're very hard markers, all the teachers and even if you give some of the best reasons to get a better grade they wont accept it. Most teachers teach you the lesson properly, but some arent that good.
Students : The kids there are quite friendly. We dont have any bullies, though there may be a few judge mental people. If your new it is really easy to make friends.
Washrooms : They are okay, doesnt smell bad,a lot of cases of wasting things in the washroom.
There's finally free sanitary products!
Sports: Teachers are kinda bias, there were a few instances where they didnt teach people properly, overal pretty good.
Principals: They 're okay, I miss our old principals though.

Overall, most schools arent that fond on mental health so is ours, one or 2 teachers that would actually care. I would give the school a 4.2/5.
You should be okay!
Good luck.
so glad i don’t have to step foot here again🙏
As a graduate from this school, I can say I am, and always be happy with the choice that I made. The teachers are very passionate about seeing their students succeed and they would always have the support that the student might need in any stage of their studies. All the teachers that I had through my studies in this school, were all well-educated and amazing. The school gives you the good energy with all those natural day lights and offers you a very nice and warm study environment. I believe the doors are always open for you to come and have a tour around the school. The last but not the least about Century Private School is the individualized attention that students get from their teachers which I believe that could be something which helps each student to make a right and good decision for their future path.
You can’t go wrong by choosing this school for your child! :)
It makes me sad because I was only there for 1 year
I went to this school for my high school and it was one of the best schools I’ve experienced. I had a great experience as all the teachers were really nice and very helpful. They take care of each student as they provide feedback after every assignment and exam. The guidance counsellor is always there to guide the student and help them follow their dream careers. Amazing school definitely recommend.
Very Impressed... My sister attends the Mentors-Century Summer Camp, which is located at CPS. The staff is really kind, compassionate, and professional. The school itself is also a fantastic experience. The classrooms are clean and beautifully designed, and there is a wide range of resources available. There are several classrooms, a gym, a drama room, a music room, a playground, an auditorium, and even a pool. They provide special programs as well, such as hot lunch and after/before school care. Century is a safe and positive atmosphere with excellent educators and students.
My son had to change his school in the middle of the year. Discovery Academy accepted him from non-semestered school and provided fantastic support to my son. He graduated with his classmates despite the fact he had to take 6 credits during the last semester.
The teachers of the school are highly professional and provide close to university studying environment. So, the graduates know everything about time management and independent studying.
The secondary school principal is very flexible in terms of schedule which was very helpful for my son.
The kids in the school are very approachable and friendly.
School was mid tbh. Anyways this is on my alt bc on my main I accidentally signed into the business profile for this school so I can't review so if i could transfer the ownership to the principal that would be great

WillowWood is a great school with strong sense of community. It feels like a big happy family. Their Pod program for Lower and middle school allow kids to navigate the subjects at their own pace (both faster or slower than their grade) so they don't get bored or overwhelmed. I have never seen anything like it in other schools that we were in. Individualized learning and one-on-one support is also another one of WillowWood's many strengths. We have been at WillowWood for 9 years and there is nothing but good memories and appreciation for this amazing school.
This school has the worst staff and students, they give horrible education.
Bad, don’t go here.

This so cool is great. I've been here for a few years and I can't wait to meet my new friends and meet my old friends!
I moved close to Stonebridge because of the way teachers interact with kids and how they encourage kids and etc . But last two years that's changed .. School and teachers are more focus and their rating than kids learning .. Don't know pressure from the principle or board .. teachers are more care about their standard than kids .. they purposely give lower marks to show they very tough and etc .. But they are not realizing they are discouraging kids

Update
After New Principal
Stone bridge school is backed on track.
Teachers motivation is more kids improvement than just school image
Also , lots of kids involved in Waterloo math contest.
I've was here since JK, and it's an okay school. It's a really small school, and mainly the only thing that's bad is that the sports teams aren't very good(there wasn’t even a basketball team when I was in gr 8). Most/some teachers are good.
Yo I hear this was pretty lit, straight bussin

I would highly recommend Quantum Academy! they provide an environment that allows me to learn and study in a stress free environment while promoting affective studying habits. The teachers are excellent at making sure you understand what they are teaching as well as providing help when needed. Going to quantum was one of my best decisions and i promise you wont regret going!
School bout to be ruined by the 07's going into grade 8. But good school, refer back to the 1 star reviews.
My child has been studying in this school since the second grade, and now my child is about to graduate from primary school. As a parent, I feel very happy to see my child go to school happily every day, and my child often shares some interesting things that happen in school after returning home, because I know that my child enjoys school life very much. The professionalism, patience, tolerance and responsibility of the teachers, as well as the enthusiasm, kindness, friendliness and mutual help of the classmates, let my child grow up into a caring, responsible, assertive and confident person in a happy day, and the child's ability in all aspects has been well exercised and improved, I think this should be the result that every parent expects to see. For this, my family and I are grateful! What a great school! Gratitude let us meet!
One star is too much for the school that has irresponsible staffs .
The kids bullies other students who are new and there is no one takes care of these things .
My kids were here and I left the school it was a nightmare . If you look at other reviews you will fold out this is true .

Most of the staffs are rude especially office . The grade 5 teacher Ms.Monaco is very irresponsible.

They don’t like to involve board or even the social worker for students who need because there are so many fault in this school .

I talked to the superintendent who is very rude and tried to defend school and finally I had to go to the board of education which was almost end of the year.
griffin is the best!!!!!!! but its not a good school!!!!

I would definitely recommend this school to all students! Quantum academy has such a friendly, welcoming, family-like atmosphere with teachers that are caring, professional and knowledgeable. They provide individualized support and guidance for all their students. The students highly benefit from the small classrooms and the school provides curriculum for mathematics, english, sciences and social sciences. The teachers ensure that all of their students are stress-resistant and feel relaxed. It is 100% guaranteed that all students are accepted to their top university choices because I can confidently say that I have gotten accepted to a Bachelors of Science in Nursing program at York University! Overall, this school has an excellent quality of education with amazing teachers and 100% academic achievements from students!

The school is ok, but it's overpopulated. In 2014 there were over 800 students. Now that I left there are probably over 1000 or so. Also my kindergarten teacher was very strict, and I am so sad Mr. Matt left, he was good and nice. Sorry but I'm gonna have to rate this 2 stars. :(
Old school, but has lots of room outside for the children to play, and has play structures for the kindergarteners

I recently moved to Canada from Europe. I was a little worried at first, but the excellent teachers at Quantum Academy provided an outstanding education and experience. They made sure that I understood the material in all my classes and are always ready to answer my questions and clarify anything that I may have misunderstood. The students were also very friendly and I felt right at home. Could not have asked for a better high school!
Good school.My brothers love it
The worst school we've ever seen. I have 2 children who were in Thornhill Woods public last year. We are so disappointed with the JK teachers and the Principle. They only thing they know is complaining parent and not taking their responsibility. We left this school after 1 year nightmare there. Not recommended! Worst school!
It was a such a nice school until I trasfered to other school On 2016 cuz it turned to frech version , Everyone was so welcoming.

The school yard after recess is a total mess! The kids throw all their garbage on the ground and leave it for the neighbourhood to clean up. Multiple times I week I have to bring a bag and pick up after the kids (even though they claim the kids aren't supposed to take their snacks outside, I find milk cartons, granola bar wrappers, yogurt cups, ziplock bags with snacks, gummies... etc). I have spoken to the principal about the matter and nothing was done. It is not the job of the janitors to clean the entire park/field after these disrespectful kids. Either provide more garbage cans, educate the kids on not littering and respecting the environment or make sure the kids are not taking their snacks out at recess.
A complete disgrace to the neighbourhood.
Great school, with even better teachers. I attended Quantum in my last year of high school, and thanks to them I have been accepted to a great university program. They heled me understand the curriculum, as well as teaching me the skills I need to succeed.
This is Voting venue for this area.

This school basketball field is also open for badminton and basketball for public during evening.
One of the best schools around. Stonebridge public school is a one of a kind school with many supportive teachers that are nice and will welcome you with a heart warming welcome. It is a very multicultural school where there are different races. No matter what no one will be left out at Stonebridge and you will always make friends because of how nice they are and their attitude. At Stonebridge we have many clubs and teams you can join varying from chess club all the way to sport teams. Our school is also known to have exceptional education and for our chess team. Our chess team is a one of a kind experience. Be sure to drop by to see!

Definitely one of the best schools I have went to. A pleasure to have been given the chance to learn from the best teachers in Ontario; and would recommend anyone to visit the school.
I did Grade 12 Advanced Functions this summer, and I greatly enjoyed my time at Discovery Academy High School. The teachers are extremely helpful and do anything they can to assure that their students succeed in the course. The class size was very small, and this was very beneficial to all students as it allowed us to have more one on one time with the teachers. This allowed us to get a better understanding of the material. The online progress report was easy to understand and updated frequently. Overall, I highly recommend this school in order to assure success for your future!
My daughter has already taken two courses in Discovery Academy high school and I wanted to share our positive experience about this school. I really liked that parents are involved into the student's progress what is quite different in regular public schools. Discovery Academy online Progress Reporting System is great, you can check it in anytime and it is updated every day. The academic programs are great in this school and teachers are very knowledgeable, supportive and helpful. Management team is also very involved in students’ progress and provide support when required.
I would definitely recommend this school to all students and parents!
