the school is relatively ok just that was a scumbag vice principal on my last year, and theres the gym teacher thats more biased than donald trump, which is kindof crazy...

overall the school activities are fun teachers are nice, but the enviroment is dirty, mostly the washrooms, like it was a trend to throw toilet paper in the washroom walls in 2018... but otherwise, it is a good school for french learning, but just dont expect a nice mme k gym teacher

this is an amazing school with most of the teachers supportive some arent but mostly all of them are very nice overall it a very good school you should deffinetly send your kids there its amazing and you learn alot and the kids arent to misbehaving.

this school is a special place, once you're in you are in the family. This school supports sports, and also different communities. They have awesome teachers, who are kind and understanding. Their system is fair. Coppard's teachers are patient and are really good at their job and know from experience. Over the years my grades and my confidence has improved. And i was able to shock my parents of my improvement. So if you are looking for a school that respects everyone, encourages sports, encouraging and patient teachers.

You can't review a school based on the kids, or even the policies of the school board. The school cannot control the school board, and they can only control the kids to a lower extent.

But even disregarding that, this school is garbage. There are few teachers who are good, and the school doesn't care about the students, even though I have no idea what else there is to care about.

There are basically 0 field trips. I am not writing this during the pandemic, so there is 0 excuse for this to happen. Not just that, but some of these field trips which were supposed to happen were cancelled, for some god forsaken reasons.

We also had pavement only recess for 1 month straight, which really bothered me, but that's the school board's fault. One thing which I assume was not the school's fault was the 2 weeks of indoor recess, due to "extreme weather conditions"? That isn't fair.

The school is generally much worse than an average YRDSB school, but I blame most of it on YRDSB, which is the worst school board in the GTA, by far.

There is a literal mouse infestation at this school that the principal admitted to, and all they did was check the food sources for them over the March break. That means the problem has been there since before the break?? What is this? Shouldn't they hire pest control to get rid of them? Mice can carry diseases that can be very harmful to anyone in the school. I don't know if they're not hiring people because they're poor, or they simply don't really care. As a student who has been here for a while now, I don't exactly feel safe with the risk of myself or other kids or even teachers getting a disease from these mice, and they're not doing anything about it! Absurd.

This school is good teacher wise with great supporting teachers but a few more rude then the others. The only reason why I started to dislike the school is after the new principal came. The previous year a new vice principal came and she was a ok vice, she did her job and knew how to work. But the principal was ok on the outside but she was misbehaving with the employees and being a bit more rude compared to our old principal.

this school is the reason towards why i had attempted to off myself.

that being said, i am not saying this because i hate school in general. no, i enjoy learning of new subjects, and naturally, school is a wondrous way to educate oneself. however, this school's facet of receptive, and educational service for students is as bad as the aftermath of catastrophe, and had remained unchanged for seven years.

the office staff do not negotiate well; it takes multitudinous amounts of your time, effort, and attempts in order to receive change. it is quite evident as to why some things cannot be changed; however, they would not even bother fixing something as minor, yet as validly rightful as covid seating arrangements until someone willingly shed blood, sweat, and tears.

in addition, the new vice principal has horrific time-management skill issues. she states that she "prioritised the older grades," managing when each class gets to do music with the lovely music teacher at a time, whereas my class still gets the most unorganised timetable out of our peers of other grades, as well as classes. she squeezed two subjects in an hour period, and ended up giving us measle minutes of another art-subject with said music teacher right after music, not enough to satisfy even thirty minutes of this one aspect each week. not only does this not make sense, it does not go with her narrative of prioritising the older students first, taking away our supposed art-subject period time throughout the entire school year. we potentially have to replace the entire period with the alternative, other period as well; which in combination, is extremely inconvenient, and damaging in our prospecting of careers.

when we --- seven students collectively as consensus for our class --- tried to confront her, she stated the exact way she managed the schedules, then saying in such an underlying standoffish tone, that "your idea would not work in the real world!" instead of enumerating actual, specific reasoning.

there are many other horrific instances of deceit, as she called someone a childish title with equally as childish reasoning, in front of many witnesses. yet, when the student wrongfully called someone an immature title, she confronted them asking why, the classmate saying the exact reasoning she said as witty response from influence. cornered, she would not admit her faults to claim responsibility; she had claimed that they had misheard, and that she did not call them this disrespectful nickname, but some strange name nobody names their child born past the twenty-first century from the nineties. since she had authority over the students, my classmate thence acquiesced, and left.

moreover, another anecdote includes the former, previous year, where the third graders were using inappropriate hand gestures from the window, yet the lunch monitors blamed the situation on my entire class, adding on the reasonability, and responsibility of being the mature kids. they were stating as if we were responsible for monitoring the younger children's actions; sans conscience. hence, the lack of critical judgement from the staff is astounding.

one lazy, monotone teacher did not even mark our tests, which is absolutely ridiculous. therefore, they had to resort to a few of my classmates marking it, which is not even their jobs. it even goes towards a common issue within schools --- unconcious (?), yet extremely prominent, and evident bias within my class this year. furthermore, one teacher marks tests way too loosely, making me question if educators from other schools do the selfsame genre of academic evaluation.

in brief, this school sucks because of the staff, excluding the custodians. don't come here if you have a choice, only come if you have no school to resort to in french immersion within your proximity.

Just graduated but pretty good school, kinda guilts you to donate because the area is pretty wealthy, but overall good school. Teachers can be really biased speaking from me and my sisters experience

this school isn't that bad. I don't really like it because of the people. I've been bullied in grade 1 when i was also new to the school. And Ms slade.. she is so terrible and rude she doesn't even care if students get bullied. And Mr lynch he's nice and funny but sometimes he can be really really rude. He also motivates people which is really nice. When we can't do something like serving in volleyball he gives us tips and helps us practice mr greto is also really nice. But my favorite teacher is Ms Metzler she's so nice. She actually cares for students and helps them with work. And some people in this school have my humor which makes it kinda fun. I just hate how teachers get so mad when students come late its not really their fault. There can be issues. I kind of recommend this school it's fun sometimes.

Leadership under the current Principal is horrible. My kids are always complaining that such and such teacher was saying this about the principal. Plus every month a specific ethnic/religious group is celebrated, the school is dumb founded in recognizing these groups. Instead, it is always 1 specific group that is forced onto the thought process of children. You need to be transparent and show respect to all communities. Sorry to say this, but the school under the current management is indirectly racist....

The only issue is the pick up and drop off the streets are too crowded when school bus comes cars gets stuck or in wintertime.

This school is mid, teachers here won’t do anything when there’s a kid in trouble. Teachers that monitor outside are always on their phones and won’t do anything to help someone in need of help. Overall this school is trash, teachers are also trash, everyone is trash including me uwu.

If there was a 0-star rating I would rate that 0 stars. This school's bathrooms are just relatively filthy. No one flushes the toilets in the boy's bathroom. This school is biased toward specific grades. Like they always call grade 5's last for almost everything. There is no air conditioning and we have to use the fan to cool down. Our teacher provided us with perfectly used windows 7 computers that were supposed to be in the garbage. Yet the principal said we couldn't "take care of it". They provide the other grades' field trips but don't give specific grade field trips including grade 5. The grade 4's went on two field trips but the grade 5's got 0. I hope this school changes the bias toward specific grades. The water in the bathroom is really filthy and I don't even think the soap cleanses your hands. I hope this school will really read what I have said and possibly change this. There is also too much bullying. Im sorry for the kids who had to go to this school.

I've been in this school for several years and I've got to say, it's not getting any better after the removal of the yrdsb teacher of the year. After that event, the school has gone through several changes in vice principals and principals. The classrooms are fairly big and are a great learning environment with many great teacher there to support you. However, there are a few teachers that can be very lazy. In one case, I had a teacher who made us do assignments that we're never even marked. The few times that our tests were marked were by a few students in my class that marked it. There are also a few teachers that don't treat us fairly as I've had many encounters with cases of favoritism shown to a few specific students in certain issues. There are also a lot of false assumptions made and certain people are very quick to judge before they know what's happening. One occasion was on track and field day which happened not too long ago. We were cheering on the grade 4's running the 100 meter as it was their first time ever participating in track. We were shouting out words of encouragement like "let's gooo" , "keep going!" and "you got this" just to name a few and one of the staff at the school called us out thinking we were dissing the students which we were clearly not. When it came to our grade, we were cheering on our friends by calling them the names that they are fine with us calling them in our friend group. After that another one of the staff had walked over and confronted us and told us "no more negative comments" which had us baffled. These are just a few cases to give you a better understanding of the school and what your children may experience being here. Overall this school used to be good but I'm not sure what happened to it.

I don't recommend it, I've been bullied here for years for no apparent reason. I was small and vulnerable so people picked me to be picked on. Shout out to the lunch teachers though they were nice. But each student does have values of high and low. (Popularity) Move to a school that doesn't do this please thanks! (Btw i agree with the Ms.Slade reviews, shes the worst!)

This is a good school but when i got my bruger it looked like some guy stepped in my burger king burger and also when i was walking around the school some random person who looked like some guy out of the ussr and played the ussr theme and it was very weird and when i was openning my locker there was a big 1cm spider in my locker and threw my shoe at it and missed, in addition me and my freinds were playing blackjack and poker and the teacher said we couldn't bet money im not sure if we can still play poker and blackjack, and also Number 15: Burger king foot lettuce. The last thing you'd want in your Burger King burger is someone's foot fungus. But as it turns out, that might be what you get. A 4channer uploaded a photo anonymously to the site showcasing his feet in a plastic bin of lettuce. With the statement: "This is the lettuce you eat at Burger King." Admittedly, he had shoes on.

When I was searching the internet I found a restaurant called beyond fields realized I was 15 minutes away. I decided to go there when I arrived everyone started screaming saying lock down lock down , I decided to go inside a class they called it and took a bag full of. They where really giving but I decided to explore and saw a lounge area . When I entered the waiter started screamed and I called the manager witch I think was named mme brouillet. She was very rude and aswell as another teacher named mme arena. They shouted and said get out so I did not to be banned and so I decided to get out. I would this was fun the mini waiters where interesting and forever scram but the mangers is what I call bad humans I don’t recommend

Went here a couple times for extracurricular activities. Cant speak to the quality of teaching, management or overall experience because of that - however as of 3ish years ago the building is well maintainrd

I've been here for a pretty long time now and this is my last year here. There are some big classrooms, really nice teachers and also mean ones. Sometimes gym class can be very boring. Overall, it's a good school.

Its good, although the parking lot is always full, so I sometimes need to park on the roof, which is hard. There are WAY TOO MANY bears surrounding the school which makes me think why not let them in.The restaurant is good but the service is trash and there are centipedes in my chair which is really annoying. Overall the school is great and most of the kids are cute, I say if you were going to come to this school make sure to wear hazarders suits and protective gear from all the wild kids.

terrible restaurant service but i must say the foot burgers were absolutely delightful. The waiters stepped on my camels foot three times and got their hair ripped out, they deserved it. they wouldnt let me park my shark inside so i had to park it on the roof - disgraceful. i liked the indoor sky diving thought and i LOVED the aquarium, my camel almost drowned there though. i give this place 1 star. terrible service would not recommend.

This school is pretty average. We have access to technology, and we get privileges lots of other schools don't have. There are cons though. Lots of teachers use humiliation as a way to teach you, and some teachers shouldn't be working with children at all. I've had an experience with a teacher that would always single me out just because she didn't like me. Teachers are very biased, and don't do anything to help you during recess. It's not the best, but it's fine in the aspect of giving you a good learning experience.

Its a pretty good school

Only good teacher here is Mr. BoomBoom. Other than that, I was told that I was not allowed to bring my dog in for a food show and tell for my country which I found very discriminatory. Also for whatever reason the USSR national anthem is played from the boys change room whenever we leave the room. Most of all, we were constantly harassed by the Cheese Cake during lunch period and the spirit of Charlie Charlie lives in the main hallway.

This school is nice. Its not great because I sometimes did get bullied and I have had horrible experiences. But its still school so its still a place where you have at least one bad experience. I previously rated this place 5/5 because I grew up in this school and its a lot better than my one experience at another school, but still its just school at the end of the day. so 3/5.

My daughter goes there. It is amazing with nice teachers. But there is one thing they can improve on-the washroom-because the stall doors could not close.

Staff put the wrong email in my profile so I missed the orientation. First day of JK, asked the teacher twice and she finally realized my daughter is actually in her class list. Not very good first impression for me.

Great school, I am very happy here however, I disagree with the way it is run. some of the teachers are biased and our lunch monitors do nothing to help us, and this is not a conspiracy theory folks. The students are nice, the learning is interesting, however, Our teachers tend to blame students for things they don’t do and our regulations are getting stricter and stricter, it’s a terrible thing, really.

Nice,small suburban french school. Lots of after school programs and extra tutoring. One floor and wheel chair accessible with big half grass half cement yard and two playgrounds and soccer fields. Teachers are nice.

Right now in 6/19/2019, it's average because I saw the elementary school ranking in Markham, it's 7 out of 10, but it's not for me. I didn't do it

This school is great for all grades, as well as kindergarten. The teaches here are experienced, and are all very well trained. This school is quite affluent, so they can afford large amounts of technology. Each class has around 6 computers, and some classes have even more. Every class has a projector, which many teachers use in class. The students here are nice, and well rounded. This school also has one of the highest EQAO averages in the school board.

My own children went to this school it is French immersion only

School with good surrounding - Pond, playground, park and field. A few minutes drive to public library and shopping malls.
