I moved and the school get kind of boring and they are not working hard and my son comeplaned

Im going to this school next year and based on the reviews I’m getting that the teachers are nice, it’s a ok school, there’s pride flags everywhere, a principal didn’t do anything about bullying, students there are rude and nice, and people just giving 5 stars and just saying this school is good

My son was denied use of his life saving medicine

Pierre Breton Public School has amazing staff and students. Yes, some of the students aren’t the best, but there are still great students you can find. No, pride flags aren’t everywhere. Some students are happy and sad that the school is getting a new principal. Overall, Pierre Breton Public School has been an okay school for me.

Why is there a pride flag at an elementary school? Extremely disgusting.

I’m absolutely furious with this school right now. The school confiscated my sons medicine on a Friday along with a thermometer, an expensive one at that without notifying us, or putting it back in the backpack.

This was put in his backpack because my son will be picked up by his grandma, and be staying with her for the weekend. This medicine was highly important as a precaution just incase he gets sick/ill. There was also his probiotics which he needs to be on a routine with.

Now my son goes the weekend without these things.

Absolutely disgusting by the school to take this medicine on a Friday no less, and not notifying us either. Whoever took it out and did not return it should be absolutely fired for incompetence for not calling us or putting it back in his backpack end of the day.

The school shouldn’t be taking anything that’s not theirs.

I also feel my son doesn’t get proper treatment either. Me and my wife were quite happy at the start, but when they changed his class, things have gotten progressively worse over the school year. They lost his glasses, and it took them like a week to find it. Many times, inside his backpack, his lunchbox isn’t closed properly after lunchtime and leaves remnants of food inside. Many times his water bottle is upside down, so everything is wet inside and it ruined some kind of work he’s done, or candies/chocolates he was given.

They give our son a poem book with stuff to finish, and has to be returned on Thursday, but given to us on Monday. Me and my wife work a lot of hours, why isn’t this book given to us on Friday where we have more time on the weekend to work with our son with the school stuff. Completely mismanaged and mishandled without any second thought for the parents and their schedules. Oh what, they don’t care. Our son is not old enough to do homework by himself. He needs guidance and help.

My son also came home with a big bruise on his shin. Why wasn’t I notified about this. I’m assume he slipped or fell on the playground by how big the bruise was, and the location of it.

Also after switching his class, they couldn’t figure out to fix the google classroom. I haven’t been able to login to google classroom all year. I asked them many times to fix it, but it never worked in the end when they kept giving me different logon information. Really unacceptable.

I feel he doesn’t get the proper treatment nor attention he deserves when it comes to learning. Take your kindergarten kids to another school.

What a beautiful space. So much love and thought has been put into this school. So much dedication to each individual student. Highly recommend! Also easy parking and great location. My children loved the library and gym space.

it smelled unpleasant and the students were awfully rude and disruptive.

We booked an appointment several weeks ago in hopes of sending our child here. Yesterday we received the automated reminder email about the virtual meeting. Today my spouse and I logged in, waited over 20 minutes with no response. Finally I called the school, the office went unanswered and the voicemail was full. The second phone call went directly to the principal/administration and that too went unanswered but I was able to leave a voicemail.

A minute later I received a call back. The person who answered was confused about my scheduled meeting, and after confirming it, put me on hold to find the principal. When the person returned, they apologized and told me I’d have to rebook my appointment for some time next week.

I’m disappointed to say the least that no one would have bothered to reach out to us to inform my spouse and I that the meeting wasn’t going to happen, nor did they take the initiative to help rebook. Given as I can’t trust basic communication to happen prior to our initial meeting, I’m afraid I’m not comfortable sending my child there.

This school is horrible my daughter was in first grade in this school and she got bullied a lot for having cultural backgrounds as she is an Asian.

My daughter has been attending this school for the past six years, and we are thoroughly impressed with HeadStart Montessori School. Every aspect of this place is exceptional. The staff is well-trained, very pleasant, and wonderful with kids. I have never felt any stress leaving my little one there. During Covid, the school ensured all necessary measures were taken. Both my daughter and we simply love this place and are forever grateful to HSM for the positive impact it has had on our lives and the strong foundation it has laid for lifelong learning and education for my ward. Thanks, HeadStart Montessori School!

I’m a student at Keystone Toronto, completing my secondary school degree. I am very excited to get my Canadian diploma and begin my Bachelor’s degree.

They have no management skills. I have 2 sons at this school, first day they put one in wrong classroom and switched other day, after 2 weeks of start the classes, they switched other son’s classroom without my notification, they did not even call me.
Communication is a very important skill.

We came to Head Start with our (then) 11 month old. I wanted to get a head start on transitioning him out before I returned to work post mat leave. My kid completed his first year in the NIDO class, but started to show significant developments from his first month. He is independent and courteous, and some of the skills he acquired just blow us all away!
The teachers are trained in Montessori style teaching/lifestyle. They provide guidance to us parents on how to mimic the lifestyle at home so my kid isn’t confused.
Overall, love the school!

Came from America and my daughter transitioned into this school she loves it and likes it alot more then her old school.

Our daughter had the best JK year at The Waterfront School!! She loved her teachers and school programs/classes. Being the youngest in class it was an adjustment but she was always made to feel welcome and safe in her class. TWS exceeded expectations and we had a great experience. We loved Mr.Earl and Ms.Marentette. Thanks for making our daughters first year of school experience a great one.

I went to that school my whole life. It is an amazing school. The teachers and staff there are very nice and welcoming.

I don't know how this place gets 4.4, must be fake reviews. The principal Irene won't even consider discussing my daughter's case (an international student diagnosed with developmental delay)or how they can support her in this school without receiving money first. Her response to any email is once you remit the fee we can talk! I don't understand how this is supposed to be a compassionate special needs school! Very commercial and unempathetic with parents struggling to find schools for special needs kids

The staff is full of love for little ones and they provide such a warm and supportive environment for kids. They would care about every single concern and are very responsive which you won’t find in every school. After about two years being with HSM, I can confidently say they are doing an amazing job and kids are treated very respectfully. I would give them 5 stars for all they have done so far. Thank you, Ms. Alvi, Mrs. Shah, Mrs. Ahmed, and Ms. Alizadeh for your support, kindness and care. I would highly recommend HSM to every family.

Rating as a parent. Principal - D'Andrea was able to help fix a complex and emotional issue during covid. The response and level of understanding we received as parents was far beyond expectation. We are very grateful.
Teachers- Mrs.McGillivray , Mrs. Deputat, Mrs. Duke, Mrs. Zizek are all amazing. Thank you for your partnership in shaping our childrens' life and perceptions away from home. Experiences they recieve in your classrooms are invaluable.

Avoid sending your child to Summer Camps there! The summer staff is unknowledgeable and you may never be able to reach the head if you have any issues during summer camp. They do not take it seriously if you child has severe seasonal allergies and they would penalize your kid saying that he have covid symptoms. They sent my kid to home for a week and they never agreed to give me a refund when I requested. Even I provided my doctor's note that he had no Covid, they ignored saying watch for the symptoms and never agreed to give me refund. It was a waste of money for me. If you do care about your kid, see other professional places where you and your child will be treated fully respected. Check the reviews before you send your kid to any summer camps!

this school is pretty bad, gym floor is horrible the principal didn’t even bother setting up a basketball team, most of the staff don’t care about the kids, don’t be rude to ms kauser she’s decent styll.

It's a great Montessori school. I would strongly recommend it to a child of any age.

I hated this school during my childhood. The people here treated me awfully when I was going though difficult times with my mental health and dysfunctional family. I was misbehave and didn’t know better. I got into fights and cause many problems which I’m truly sorry for. But these people are rotten in the core for how they handle things. They present themselves in a very rude manner that shows they never cared for me. I felt that I should’ve had help in many ways but they never consider about that. I will never forgive them for partly destroying my childhood. I don’t recommend anyone to attend this school that have similar struggles like my childhood.

I graduated from Keystone. I came here last year of high school and I was very happy the whole time. The atmosphere at school was very good and the school staff was like friends.

Great care of the organization and high quality of education! Flexibility. Better than expected indeed. My two sons 15th and 18th had a very positive growth opportunity not only from an academic point of view but also relational Special thanks to Doa and Thalita! 👏

Sad bathrooms

went to this school for idk 6 years? every moment was the best. there were so many awesome field trips and clubs to join, the teacher were amazing as well, the principle super nice, i remember doing Christmas concerts and stuff there, best experience ever. one of the teachers i cant remember his name but he would pretend to stable me and my friends to the wall. he was funny probably my favorite teacher OTHER then the music teacher ofc, she was also super nice, i definitely recommend going here the staff & students are both super friendly, i never had a bad experience here, oh and the daycare down below is also full of friendly people!

My son attends Brighton School and is having an excellent experience. It was hard to find a good fit for him academically with a place accepting and knowledgeable about learning differences. The staff and teachers here are so friendly and amazing.

I've planned to go Keystone this September. i must say that the application procedure has been very smooth and the admission team, especially Miss. Doa Demirsu (who managed my file, and followed my application procedure), were explicitly wonderful at their job and pleasure to talk with.
I'm happy I've been accepted to such a great school, and can't wait to go there.

If your the people writing bad reviews about our school to make parents attend their children to your school, don't do that. We had a very good experience with the Montessori. They are really one of the best and provide a very safe and nurturing learning environment for kids. The classrooms are spacious and all teachers are caring and engaging for kids. Ms. Alvi and Ms. Shaw are managing the center very well. They are very organised and disciplined while child pickup and drop, they provide quick response to your queries about the child and smooth handling of any incidents as well. They encourage parents to be actively involved in council and provide their inputs. Overall our experience was very satisfying including that of our child and we recommend parents to choose HSM.

(background: I have been to 3 day cares before writing this review) My son started at this school from Nido/Infant class in September a year ago, and we have nothing but wonderful experience here. The classrooms are spacious, always clean and tidy, every single teacher we have interacted with (about 8-9 so far) have been knowledgeable and passionate about children and early childhood education. You won't see regular toys in the classrooms since it is a Montessori school and I personally really like it that way since puzzle-like toys are more stimulating and promote creativity. I often have questions about my child and about being a parent in general, I always learn something new from the teachers at school. We initially chose this school because we live in the neighborhood, now I do not want to move because this school is just that good. I did not think I'd be that parent who is picky about a small child's school, but this school has opened up my eyes and taught me the importance of educating children the montesorri way.

My time at Keystone has been wonderful. I made friends who come from many different countries. I love the teachers at Keystone, as well as the location of the school which is at the heart of Toronto. There are many things to do in the city so it’s nice and convenient when I hang out with my friends.
Overall, Keystone has a great location, great academics, and a very friendly environment.

I enjoyed my time at the Waterfront School. My brother Javon also enjoyed his time. The teachers was kind and very helpful. The Principal Ms Barnes was very kind and always acted in a professional manner. I recommend the Waterfront School 100% to any one who is looking for a school to attend.

As a keystone student, I sincerely want to rate 101 out of 100 for my school. This is a home-style school. All my teachers and staffs here are just like my family members. They not only just educate students, but also teach us useful skills that we can actually use in our lives. I never feel lonely when I'm here although none of my family members here.

if possible send your kids else somewhere else. My child has an ongoing respiratory illness and they are not giving her the proper care she needs. It seems as though no one is watching these kids because my child got hit in the head with a large toy. It was bleeding profusely and she was not treated because the kindergarten teacher claims he does not know what happened. They need new administration and better teachers who do not only care about the paycheck.
