Best Bus stops in Canada

I used to wonder why many of the drivers are angry and hostile to riders; when I saw the laughable wage that MV Transportation (Barrie Transit is outsourced) was offering, the mystery was solved.

Horrible. The whole thing needs a reform. First off all, removing charging port is not going to stop or prevent homelessness. What happens if people are in emergency situations and their phone is out? People need to charge their phones in case of emergencies whether you like it or not. What's next are they gonna close the bathrooms? The bus is also never on time which it's kind of embarrassing that the price went up. Their needs to be a change. This is bad and I'm not the only one saying it.

Most unreliable service there is bus times are posted through text so you show up b4 that time n bus doesnt show up... one bus off the 3 shows up on time and of course not the bus you need. Bus suppose to come at 318 just never shows up making me late of course. How can a service be so useless? Almost as useless as the police force in this town. Again another bus is late at stop 524 lol honestly lol

Worst service ever. Buses never on time why you guys take 90$? no one even would take such service in free at all. How can you cancel buses on your choice and some drivers are really crazy and drive in the worst way.

If I could give 0 I would they rip u off and the driver dosnt ⚠️ you at all they will take 5 doallars but won't give u change and don't tell u thats ripping someone off disgusting 💯 specially with the cost of things these days

The worst system I have ever seen. I even don't want to give even one star. They don't have any proper schedule they are not aware the people precious time. See, Barrie is sheltering almost 300,000 people and they provide the worst transportation system. They don't have any proper schedule for travelling. They run their buses on weekdays different time and on weekends different time. Even on occasion they serve or schedule their buses after one hour how can it be the worst like that. I mean this is one of the biggest cities in which high number of people living so how can they schedule their buses like that. In taking bus rates they never let it down so why they providing the worst service. Because of my regular time I thought bus came at time but I have to go by Uber. I had to paid handsome amount of money.

July 18th, 2023- Surprise, surprise the Barrie transit is at it again. Today the bus is an hour late, and when speaking with an employee I was told they have no clue why it is not here. Completely useless service. Thank you once again transit for not caring about anything but lining your pockets

The women's washroom in the waiting area for Nanaimo walk on was terrible. No toilet paper, just a mess, very surprising, expected better

March 8th, 2:54pm at the stop near Eastview Secondary School, I walked onto the 100B. Scratched my ticket as usual, but the driver said I was lying to him and won’t give me transfer because he wasn’t paying attention. Arrogant and rude, made me pay twice the money for a single ride. The ride ended up being late also (it came in late when I got on as well). Barrie downtown terminal legitimately hire blind people with anger issues as bus drivers. Save your money for a car and drivers license.

Edit: oh boy, isn’t it nice for a bus to go out of service the moment they hit near your stop? Sure does.

My goodness, it was like pre-pandemic times - lots of people travelling, especially tourists (unlike us regulars); lots of taxis, and of course, the summer time fruit stand (sadly selling less fruit for more money than even last year).

While I admit I would rather go to Tsawwassen Terminal, since the traffic there is much lighter than driving through the middle of North Vancouver, I can't deny the view here is fantastic everytime.

After disembarking from the BC Ferries arriving from Nanaimo as foot passengers, we had to walk through the concourse for about five minutes and the bus stop was right in front of the exit. We had to wait for not more than ten minutes for a bus number 250 or 257 (express) to arrive. It would take us to Vancouver Downtown in about half an hour, with all our luggage. This was during our trip to Vancouver in June 2019.

If you're late for a ferry, the view here is spectacular! It's a very calming location to relax outside of. There is a heating bar inside, so when you're cold, it's nice and warming. This ferry terminal is not as nice as the nanaimo one (bathrooms not as clean, less amenities, not really any shops - just vending machines), but operationally it's efficient.

Beautiful views! Nice place to walk with decent number of coffee shops and fish and chips.

Ferry terminal. Down to earth, functional, nothing fancy. Make sure to listen correctly and check the ferry you walk onto. Boarding can be confusing - I ended up on the ferry to Vancouver Island once, instead of the ferry to Bowen Island. What a bummer. Scenery is very nice - so get outside your car when you are waiting for the ferry to come. Services around the terminal are OK, but nothing exceptional.
