My daughter LOVES Marsman School. She has been learning how to play violin by her amazing teacher Miguel for more than a year and she always looks forward to his lessons. Marsman is a family owned business and so you do feel the community and that they really care about their students.
My daughter has piano class here and we are very satisfied with the teacher and the academy
The studio is basic but has grand pianos and uprights on the second floor. There are many teachers you can learn from, we are with one who has RCM qualifications and a master's degree in music. I like that they can electronically send bills now and there are biannual recitals that are well organized and they can showcase their music with medals provided when they participate.
One of my most cherished venues because it brings back a lot of fond memories. The combination of the impressive performance and the superb acoustics of the venue created a truly memorable and captivating experience me.
Exquisite architecture and lovely hall. It was a delight to attend a performance downtown here. The only thing was that the shooed us out of the lobby afterwards to get ready for another performance and I thought that was rather odd.
0 stars. I would not send your child here. My 8-year old daughter attended vocal lessons. Less than one week before their Christmas recital I was told that my daughter didn’t seem to be engaged and that the instructor did not want to teach her anymore. This meant having to tell my child that she could not participate in the recital and sing the song she had been practicing and looking forward to performing. Never in my life have I come across such a heartless action to a child. I would steer clear of here.

We asked my 8-year old daughter if she wanted to be there and she said yes. From my understanding on that evening it had been resolved. The next thing I knew I had a call from the office manager 4 days prior to the recital to say the instructor no longer would teach my daughter this week and she wouldn’t be in the recital. I am still not clear on what ny daughter has done to be treated this way. If your offer is to reimburse me for one week of classes you need to consider the intent of your business, and how students are treated. What was my daughter doing from Sept to December if it wasn’t preparing for a recital in which her instructor decided not to support her with 5 days in advance of the recital. Let’s also not forget my daughter is 8years old!!!!

WORST PIANO PLACE EVER!!!
Coming from a student that HAS to go there this is by far the WORST place to learn piano I’d rather go to my previous piano teacher then this one. The piano teacher makes your kids cry and doesn’t even care about them, shouts at your kids, doesn’t even teach them properly and he has major anger issues. If you want your kids to have childhood trauma from this piano teacher then go here. If I could I would’ve rated this a 0 star.

My child is enrolled in 2 classes at the music school, and I only have great things to write. The teachers are experienced, professional, fun and kind. The classes we're in are piano and singing, and it's been such a wonderful journey seeing my child grow here. Jerome and Layla are fantastic teachers, and Louis and his team are awesome.
My time and Instructor (Stephen) at Marsman Music have been incredible, and I highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful experience at La Majour's piano class. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also incredibly patient and supportive. My son and I had a bad experience in his 1st piano class. Thankfully, through a recommendation from a friend I met Sevan. I am very thankful because she was not hesitant to accept my 4-year-old son. Sevan is very good with children. My son is always looking forward to his piano classes, seeing his teachers, Julia, and Sevan, and learning new piano lessons.
My son is learning the piano at La Majeur School, and he has had experiences with different teachers due to our busy schedule. I can say that all of them are well-experienced and have been very helpful in accommodating our rescheduling needs. I am thankful to Sevan, the manager, and the other teachers there, as my little son has made progress in Piano and I can see that. Thank you
La Majeur school of music is a great place to learn music for any age group in Scarborough with very experienced and friendly Staff and pretty reasonable fees . They are very accommodating in providing additional slots incase someone misses any lessons , it just you need to inform bit earlier so that they can plan. Sevan is very friendly and manages the place very well . My 5 year is learning Piano and taking Voice lessons from La Majeur and we are very happy with the progress she made so far .
Its a great school. Great teachers and staff members. They are very helpful, caring, and dedicated. I'd recommend La Majuer School Of Music to anyone who wants to learn piano, guitar, drums, violin and/or singing regardless of age or skill level.

My 5 year old daughter has been attending piano lessons for about three months now and has developed a real passion for music. I really appreciate her teacher Joe, he is kind, patient and my daughter looks forward to going every week. The staff has also been amazing. This is the perfect place for kids to learn. Thank you!
I am disappointed to say that I did not have a good experience. The owner (Vahe) and I were emailing about some trial classes. There was a miscommunication; which happens during emails and that is not the fault of anyone. But the owner continued to email me back being rude and vindictive through the email stating he did not make any promises (fair) but the use of his language was unprofessional as an owner. We had our trial class, and was told he would only hold my spot until 8pm the next day, but then emailed me the next day stating he gave away the spots saying I did not email him before 9am! Also, the instructor who was giving the trial class (Noelle?) I could over hear giving rude instructions to the children as well (such as: why would you do that? It won't look good that way, etc.). I am happy to say I am taking my business elsewhere as this was not a pleasant first experience.

I worked at Marsman Music as a piano teacher a few months ago when I was still living in Scarborough. Louis and the entire team are very dedicated to creating the most ideal learning environment for kids and adults or all ages. The teachers are all very knowledgeable and qualified, I myself am ARCT certified and had over 7 years of teaching experience. Marsman Music also holds recitals throughout the year which I believe are great confidence boosters for any musician.

Unparalleled sound quality and comfort. Some of the best concerts I've ever witness have been at the R.C. This venue always impressed, with every seat being a great one.

I signed up with Arts and MusiCom and took piano lessons from Anna starting September 2022 as an adult learner. It’s been very pleasant experience, I’ve learned a lot from Anna during this short period of time. Anna is very professional, experienced and patient. Awesome place to learn piano. Both my 10 year old daughter and I learn piano here. The teachers are very resourceful and dedicated to teaching. My piano teacher, Lily, is amazing. I have a lot of questions and she calmly explains everything to me. I am fortunate that I got my first ever piano lesson from her. There are also art classes that we didn't explore. The owners of this school are very knowledgeable, kind and understanding.

I had the pleasure of taking virtual vocal lessons with Wanda this summer, a course of 9 sessions. My goals were to improve public speaking quality, especially vocal projection, and do better at karaoke! Wanda is a natural at teaching, always supportive, engaged, and willing to challenge. She planned each lesson around my goals, progress, and feedback, and each session simply flew by. I also love the lesson summaries after each session. I only regret I didn't do better on my homework in between lessons, but overall, I learned so much and feel I have much better awareness to work on my goals. I hope to take another course of lessons in the future. A shoutout to staff too; I appreciate Jennifer, who arranged the lessons, so responsive and easy to work with. The teachers at WCMA are fantastic: very supportive, creative and passionate about their work and music. They are able to bring out the best in children. My daughter has been going to this music school for almost 4 years and has received high scores in all her RCM exams till date. We are grateful to our super-talented piano teacher, Ms.Lilly, our fantastic vocal teacher Ms.Lorriene and our wonderful theory teacher Ms.Alla. My son has been learning piano with Ms. Lili at WCMA for nearly 10 years. This is an amazing music school and Ms. Lili and other teachers here are so inspiring. Wonderful experience.

As a student that has been studying at the school for more than 10 years, I am extremely thankful to all the amazing staff and teachers that I've encountered on the way. I am always greeted with a welcoming smile each time I enter the door and everyone is extremely kind and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed every lesson I had with Ms. Matzkin and Denise and I always learned something new and valuable with each lesson. The encouraging atmosphere, professionalism, and efficient communication are some of the many reasons that I returned year after year. They truly kept the promise of fully supporting me along my journey of learning piano and theory, and I could never be more grateful for their encouragement and dedication.
Wow. This Mecca for aficionados of music came as a beautiful surprise. Imposing, and so wonderful. And to hear and see the performance of the Miles from India concert, a celebration of the music of Miles Davis was a perfect beginning to a long love affair. Miles Davis has so beautifully juxtaposed and oven together the sounds of such Indian music instruments like the Flute, The Dholak and the Tabla with the Trumpet, Saxophone, guitar, drums and piano that they all seem to load together like long lost brothers. It is true. Music has no boundaries. The Musical scale embraces all and every beat, as long as it stays pure.

My daughter started violin lessons last year at the start of our lockdown. The Academy of Music were great at helping us start and even dropped off a violin rental at our house! Throughout this year, she has shown great progress all thanks to her teacher Jonas. We also love the virtual recitals and the Musical Ladder System, they really go a long way in encouraging her and setting goals!
My daughters have been taking lessons at the Academy of Music for many years and through their awesome teachers have developed a love of music that never needed to be forced. Most recently, their piano teacher Joe has been an excellent teacher both on and off line and able to accommodate both of their very different learning styles. Great communication with incredibly helpful staff makes Academy of Music a perfect choice.

This is great place to take music lessons! I have known the owner of this incredible music school for over 5 years and can personally vouch for his commitment to excellence in every aspect of his business. From the over the top customer service his staff provides, to his teachers, to the musical ladder system he offers to his students, they know how to do things right.
Both my daughters love attending their piano lessons in Accento. The management always greet you with a smile and makes you feel welcome in their newly open school. Coming from a student's perspective I personally have enjoyed learning from this studio because the teachers are HIGHLY educated in their field of study. Before studying under my teacher I knew very little when it came to performance techniques because the teachers prior were only teaching piano with limited music knowledge. Since then I have also been given opportunities to perform occasionally at student recitals as well as compete at music festivals/competitions! My teacher was able to help me succeed in many events and still continues to create a fun and supportive environment. Highly recommend if you want to obtain a valuable music education!!!

Anna has been such an amazing piano teacher to my daughter! She's always patient and encouraging, teaching my daughter every black and white key, how to sight read, and most importantly, how to enjoy music. Super nice teacher and highly recommended!

Willowdale Conservatory is a place for people who love music and having fun. It's full of friendly people and I really enjoy my years coming here. Definetly would recommend.

Visiting this location as a non musician, one cannot help but be impressed with the sound quality in the concert hall, the eye teasing architecture ( are we outside or inside), the beautiful Instruments on display on the first two floors and the statue of Franz Liszt welcoming you on the main floor.
My children, Nada and Bilal have been going for more than 4 years now. They are receiving quality music education. The staff and teachers are talented, kind and friendly. We have had a very good experience.
