Best Fertility physicians in Canada

very poor service! The clinic is irresponsible and delayed my treatment for months. The staff and physicians lack coordination, phone calls are always forwarded to VMs with no call backs, and emails are ignored. I am very dissatisfied with Trio and wish I had not wasted my time, nore have I gone through so much stress.

I recently started my journey with Trio fertility clinic in downtown Toronto. All staffs are very friendly. Treatment and process was made easy. Nurses make it comfortable. Communication either by phone call or emails, are answered on time.

I and my wife went to Trio Lab on 18th floor Bay St today. The lab technician Maria was fantastic with her knowledge. She was very quick and knew what she was doing. Highly professional lady. We appreciate your services Maria. Thank you 😊

I have had mixed experiences most bad. Nurses have been great!!!! Everything else not so much, huge lack of communication. Docs like to speak over you rather than listen. There is no accessibility to my own records. They’re def money hungry and not in it for the right reasons. I’d recommend going somewhere else, somewhere who cares and doesn’t treat you like a number.

I was so excited to be referred to this clinic after a poor experience and recommendation at another clinic. I wanted a second opinion and thought this clinic would provide modern option. Unfortunately my experience was definetly not what I was expecting especially from Dr Caspar who is supposed to be one of the best doctors. There was no testing, no treatment plan, nothing they could offer other than experimental medication which came with risks. This is not a clinic that will take on “difficult” cases. It was very disappointing that after refusing the experimental medication that no options or further communication occurred. It makes me wonder why they were so eager to push the experimental medication???? Just an overall unprofessional and poor experience. I definetly would not recommend this clinic.

Ever since day 1, Trio has been nothing but spectacular. I monitored at the Waterloo location which was very helpful. The staff there was incredible. Come retrieval and transfer the team at Toronto was also exceptional. Every step was explained, we were treated like family. During such stressful times, Trio helped calm all of the nerves. We are very grateful!

I only had a consult at Trio as a second opinion, but we chose not to become patients because of how terrible the consult went.

We had already had 2 failed cycles of IVF and were looking for other opinions on testing and medication protocols. The call began with the doctor introducing himself then without missing a beat immediately saying he has reviewed our file and said we would be wasting our time doing another cycle. If I had a sister I should “just” move on to donor eggs and use hers because “it’s the same thing”. When I tried to ask questions about doing further testing or another cycle on my eggs he kept shutting me down and bringing it back to using a siblings eggs.

This attitude is incredibly dismissive of the massive emotional ramifications for doing a donor cycle. Not to mention that using a known donor is significantly more expensive because of the therapy and lawyer fees involved.

Besides that, I was 29 and had no actual answers for why this hadn’t worked and hadn’t tried any different protocols.

Fortunately, we had a third opinion with Victory Reproductive. They actually listened to my concerns, ran additional tests, changed my protocol drastically and I now have a beautiful 9 month old from my successful 3rd round of IVF with my own eggs.

This clinic wants easy cases rather than to help their patients find the reason for their infertility.

The TRIO nurses and staff are wonderful! I was nervous going into my procedure and the nursing staff were very caring and calming and made the experience so much better. Doctors in clinic are wonderful and listen to patient concerns.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and dissatisfaction with the quality of service I have received at this Clinic As a patient seeking healthcare assistance, I regret to inform you that my experience has been less than satisfactory.

I feel compelled to address the issue of appointment cancellations made without my consent, which has led to unnecessary inconvenience and disruption to my healthcare plan. Moreover, the lack of communication and unresponsiveness from the clinic staff when attempting to reach out via phone calls has further exacerbated my concerns.

It is evident that there is a lack of genuine care and consideration for patients at this clinic as I have felt like just a number in the system rather than a valued individual seeking medical attention. The disregard for patient well-being and the dismissive manner in which concerns are handled reflect poorly on the professionalism and ethics of the clinic.

Furthermore, the opaque and questionable practices regarding billing and charges, particularly in relation to government funding, have raised alarming doubts regarding the transparency and integrity of the clinic's financial operations.

I urge the management of in this clinic to address these issues promptly and take the necessary steps to improve the quality of patient care and communication. As a conscientious healthcare consumer, I believe it is essential for medical facilities to prioritize patient welfare and uphold the highest standards of service excellence.

First visit with Dr Courtney Anderson, went really well. She is amazing, soft spoken and explained the next steps well.
Clinic is so well maintained. Cleanliness is 5 stars.
Receptionists at blood work lab were presentable and smiles on the face. Will update when I see another doctor in next visit.

They are very friendly and nice, but their communication is an area of improvement. It’s impossible to reach them by the phone, I’ve always been sent to voicemail, when I called. Also, now it’s impossible to email them, all the emails I was trying to sent was undeliverable recently. Not being able to send an email to your nurse is so inefficient.

In addition, I was very frustrated that my Doctor and nurses didn’t tell us, than genetically testing is available for embryos before they get frozen. It is extra cost, but we we’re willing to pay it to save time and emotional/physical energy to go through embryo transfers the success of which we could know in advance. So, for example, if out of 5 embryos you got, 3 are genetically abnormal, you don’t have to torture your body with hormones and emotional attachment to them. Instead, you could only proceed with the ones which have chances to implant and save your resources. That was a big disappointment and why for me.

Update: we have successfully conceived through our 3rd embryo transfer after the doctor adjusted our protocol a little bit, and still have 2 more embryos left. It could be because of the protocol change or just better genetical quality of embryo - we'll never know. But we're very grateful to OFC and all their personnel.

Great experience so far. Everyone I've seen and spoken with has been very kind and the tests have been on time and done efficiently. I know I'm in good hands here and feel hopeful for the future. Email communication and appointment booking is very clear and organized.

If I could give zero star I would do it. What the hill is going here…!!!!! No one does anything correctly at this place…!!!
1- no respect to others life: they cancel appointments after scheduled and confirmed without getting the patient consent, there is no respect to the the fact that this person doesn’t live freely without any responsibility other than receiving your calls and being ok with changing the appointment from here to there.
2- no phone calls are answered, if you need them then good luck..
3- even when i requested my records, i clearly mentioned the exact date of one test, just only test… and guess what, after waiting for 3 weeks to get this report, they just decided to send another one…!! If I’m taking to an animal , with the whole respect to all animals as the comparison is not fair, they will complete the task correctly as no effort needed actually, no need to use your mind which is not there by the way. Just read the customer request… only open your eyes and read…!!!!!!

Finally to be fair, it was my pleasure that i met with dr Justin white, i wish if I could be one of his patient at different clinic other than this place. Also , i don’t want to forget Elana, the ultrasound technician, she explains everything and answers questions as much as she allowed, she’s really helpful. Alison , she’s one of doctors office receptionist that when I reach to the point of having no way to speak with nurses, she helped me out and she was able to go herself and give them heads up to contacting me,

Update: i have been contacted by Leeanne Logan, Administrative Services Manager/Privacy Officer at OFC and she was kindly and carefully listening and discussing with me my issue regarding the previous experience. This is not the first time dealing with Leeanne , she helped me before when i went to the clinic complained about canceling my appointment without confirming with me and she was able to handle and understanding the situation. This time as well she takes my complain seriously and she was able to reach out to me shortly and fix the problem . She made me satisfied and I really appreciate her caring about customers experience. Pretty sure that she will do her best to help on the quality of services provided.

There is absolutely no way this clinic has 4.5 stars without ratings being boosted by staff or specific people being asked to review. If you want to be treated like an individual human go elsewhere, if you don’t mind being treated like cattle and have procedures done by different people every time, go here. I have a beautiful son now no thanks to the 4 years spent at the OFC. If I were to do it all over again I would have switched clinics much sooner.

They tell you have appointment if you miss it they want 50 bucks had them for awhile they said they emailed me for an appt oct 11 lie nothing was sent I checked my emails there just out to get your money or push a pill useless to me there I do nor recommend this place as someone who is supose to take care of your health and for fifty bucks they should have a car to pick you up for your appointment scam

Switching doctors. Don’t see the point in making an appointment just to be left waiting for majority of the time. They didn’t even book me for the pap smear I called for initially. Such a waste of my time.

Never met a doctor who could care less about his patients and more about the money. Am looking for a new physician.

Run. I can't even begin to describe the level of negligence and disorganization here. If you're looking for a sign to go to Toronto instead of the convenient place nearby, this is it. I promise it'll be worth it to go virtually anywhere but here. They made countless dangerous and cycle ending (without refund) mistakes. They got caught in an enormous lie and just generally aren't able to handle infertility. They are a fertility clinic at best, but NOT an infertility clinic. They're unable to adapt protocols or individualize treatments. They couldn't even read our files; they'd read us other people's files, gave us wrong dosage information, wrong meds, assumed we were straight, mixed up who was doing the retrieval, have instructions completely impossible for our condition, just absolute laziness to the point of danger. Thank goodness we caught a lot of those scary mistakes. I could write a book about the issues we've had. Run, don't walk, away.

Shockingly unprofessional and very rude female staff member on the phone. I understand why the rating is so low at this clinic now. How hard is it to be polite and helpful?

This is NOT a doctors office. Toxic place. Front staff is rude, ignorant, ill-mannered, screaming at you. Dr. Kanu, greeting, "What do you want?" Lacking compassion, emotions, no time to listen to your problem,"everything is okay, no concerns or care, no awareness, makes me feel like I wasted his time. Should not be called a Doctor's Office.

Great service and reception. Dr. Kanu is awesome and attentive to my needs as a patient. He’s been my physician for years and one of the best ones I’ve ever had. Highly recommend 10 out of 10.

I just dropped this office as my family doctor. The previous doctor, Dr. Awad, was an amazing doctor whom I miss terribly, next to these new ones. He was amazing! I also miss his staff as the new staff is awful!
I write this because Dr. Kanu doesn't look far enough back on my records when prescribing medications. He prescribed me something I've already taken and didn't work for me. He also has prescribed me a medication that should have been taken with an antipsychotic, claiming it would help with my anxiety and fibromyalgia pain. Meanwhile not prescribing the antipsychotic. It stopped working, made me gain weight and eventually lead to suicidal thoughts and extreme depression and dependency on it. I stopped taking it right away, once I realized what was going on.
He's promised me therapy sessions and I've yet to receive a call from anyone and calling and asking the staff for anything isn't worthwhile because they never call you back! I shouldn't have to harass the staff or doctor to be taken seriously or to be heard.
In appointments I also feel rushed and I'm never completely heard and not everything I've needed addressed gets resolved because he rushes onto the next person. I feel he doesn't take pain and mental health seriously enough.

Dr. Kanu is our family doctor and all stuff are very friendly. The space is very clean. There is TV | Pharmacy | And Good Doctor| Parking Free Only For Patients| Limited Space But Just G R E A T |
