Quite a fancy meal to be a had at a food court. Tempura was presumably fried to order, as the wait time was around 10 ~ 15 minutes after ordering. Presentation and packaging were amongst the best I've seen. Rice was cooked perfectly, and the tempuras were delicious. It was not a cheap meal at all ($20+ per person). Don't expect humungus portions either.

Not worth the price.

Food 1/5: This has to be one of the lowest quality of AYCE sushi in the GTA. No seasoning on any food and fish was no where near fresh. The enoki roll was a joke, beef sashmi was sour and torched sushi had no flavour. Tempura batter was dark. Deep fried banana looks and tastes like chicken balls from your local Chinese joint.

Service 1/5: bad service food was slow and servers were not happy to be working. Asked for water and they kept forgetting it, and on the third ask she just gave me the pitcher and left it on our table.

Atmosphere 2/5: some nice decor, nothing out of the ordinary.

Overall 1/5: definitely not coming back here spent 113.00 for 2 people (dinner menu) and was not worth that price. Would not recommend.
KANEKO HANNOSUKE at Brentwood mall offers tempura dishes that are made to perfection. Currently, they have a promotion where you can buy 2 tempura bowls and get the 3rd one for free.

Not too many sections of sashimi but sushi and rolls are pretty good and Fresh made. Tables are a bit low so not too comfortable. Desserts are delicious.

Not many options to choose from in comparison with other ayce spots, especially the variety of sashimi. The sushi was pretty impressive while the other stuff mediocre. The food came fast at the start and got slower and slower. The inside was very crowded and the tables were small and close together, which I don't really enjoy.

Food is decent, but price range is a little higher considering you can go to a few other buffet spots with a wider selection for a cheaper cost. There was a delay everytime we were ready for our next order which i think there may be room for improvement.
We always love coming to Kaka. It is our go-to spot for sushi in Markham. Staff always answer the phone and we can easily make last minute reservations for 2. Food quality is excellent and service is very quick. I especially love the pressed torched sushi pieces. There is a great variety in the menu and their crème brûlée dessert is one of the best tasting ones compared to other AYCE restaurants. Highly recommend!

Good service and fast deliver out on tables, atmosphere is not bad but very busy. Food and desserts are excellent. So a little crowd.
Tempura is soggy, greasy and cold. (Dine in, not takeout) Sauce is way too salty. At least kitchen looks clean and professional, but definitely will not order again.
This is not a great value at all for the price that you pay. I was expecting a light and fluffy tempura batter but it is dense and oil is overfried (not fresh). I ordered the salmon tempura set and the salmon was way overcooked. It comes with a side of mapo tofu or something and it was the most horrible thing that I have tasted (with numbing spices). I definitely won’t be coming back and expected more for a $21.50 meal.

Quick service & good quality food.

I've been to a few AYCE sushi places but this is among the top.

Gets crowded, best to make reservations ahead of time.

Really good food, once ordered took 2 minutes to get out to our table.
The service was amazing, they were patient, and on top of clearing the table.
Most of all, they gave our co workers little guy a stuffy. It was adorable!

Honestly a great spot to go eat!
Kaneko Hannosuke serves Japanese style Tempura rice bowls known as Tendon in the TABLES food court at the Amazing Brentwood. I ordered the Oyster Tendon for lunch. The tempura was lightly battered and not very greasy. Tempura is excellent here.

While the food here was superb, I was a bit disappointed with the way they served the rice. Everything came in a large bowl which upon first glance gives the appearance of having a lot of rice in it. However, it turned out that there was a shallow plastic tray sitting on top of the bowl, and the food was placed inside this shallow tray. This meant that there was actually a lot of empty, wasted space in the bowl and really not as much rice in the dish as it first seemed. I don't have a very large appetite so the rice was still a sufficient amount for me. In principal though, it does seem misleading as well as wasteful to be using those big bowls, when the food isn't even sitting in those bowls; rather the food is sitting in smaller plastic trays on top of the bowls. It seems to me that they could do a bit of rethinking about how they package and serve their food to people.

Service:   Good
Parking:   Free parking nearby, on ground level
Location: 4567 Lougheed Hwy., Burnaby
I ordered the oyster bowl. You can get the sauce on the side to keep the tempura crispy. For $20 you get quite a bit of tempura but like others have mentioned, the bowl is not as big as it seems. There’s a layer of plastic underneath.
The oyster tempura was really yummy, crispy on the outside and fresh on the inside!
Food: 9.5/10
Well presented, the miso soup for the chicken tendon is on point, as well as the tendon lunch itself. Each piece complements each other to make a great palate altogether. Well done.

Service: 10/10
Htet was the staff here and she provided a stellar service as she tried to accommodate my requirements. Thank you for your and the staff’s hard work.

Atmosphere: 9.5/10

Staff there wears a white uniform, and they even wear chef hats and masks (to promote food safety). Long hair is tied back or bundled up. Everyone is working harmoniously and I really appreciate the atmosphere that they represent. Well done!
It is nice that the food court experience becomes more pleasurable with better cutlery, packaging, etc. Take-out packaging of the Special Tempura Bowl at Kaneko Hannosuke surprised me in a good way, as it is immaculate. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the meal for me. Food-wise, egg tempura was great; I can't say I've tried anything like that before. But everything else was very mediocre and unmemorable. It is a bunch of deep-fried items and plain rice, making a pretty dry combination. It was missing some binding element, maybe a sauce or something, and provided soy sauce wasn't enough, at least for my liking.
