The cafe itself is very cute, love the game boards that are available, however we did not have such a great experience with the food and service.

The mocktail was really good, however we waited over an hour for our food, we asked a few times in between and they told us it’s coming. When we asked again at the 1.5 hour mark, they checked in the system only to realise that they hadn’t even placed our order.

Once the food did arrive, they got our order wrong. I asked for the croissant sandwich and they brought a burger. We were too hungry at that point to switch it. But the burger was very soggy and salty. Definitely did not enjoy it.

The pasta wasn’t too bad.
This game cafe had some nice drinks and the fried chicken was tasty snack! The atmosphere of this place is so trendy and yet comfortable, decent game selection too.
Hidden gem near the four corners of whitby. The food was soooo good! I ordered the oreo pancakes and the mega benny with bacon instead of ham. The staff were so friendly and on point. Will be back to try other stuff on the menu
The service at the restaurant was lovely. The waiters were quick to respond and help us with all our needs. I also adore the wide assortment of board games that you can play while waiting for your food to be here.
I suggested this place to meet up a friend. It was the first time for both of us to visit cafe. If you choose to dine-in only and not play any board games then they won't charge you for the games. It's helpful that each table has a button underneath it to call for service. The staff was so polite and helpful!

I ordered the Taiwanese fried chicken (yes, it's boneless), and Osmanthus Latte. Both tasted amazing!

Taiwanese fried chicken (crowd fav): Great if you are just looking for a snack but also a good choice to share with the rest of the group. Loved the sauce paired with it.

Osmanthus Latte (brand new on the menu): It was the first time I tried a latte made with Osmanthus. I found it a good balance of sweet and a touch of bitter. Overall I loved the taste!
Awesome boardgame cafe.

Food was so good. We had the braised beef rice and noodles. And two lattes. It’s a bit pricey but you’re paying the premium for the vibes.

They have a lot of boardgames to choose from: the classics like scrabble, monopoly, cards against humanity, risk, catan, etc. They also have newer games. We played Wingspan for 2 hours.

My best friend and I stopped here for breakfast on our way to the spa and this amazing little cafe blew us away!! The customer service was exceptional and the food was to die for! We were able to chat with the owners about the cafe and the food and they were the friendliest eatery we have been to!
We purchased some oven fresh scones on our way out and they were beyond kind when they also gave us a sample of each other their homemade jams.
If you are in the Whitby area, I highly recommend stopping and grabbing a bite to eat!
I had the pleasure of visiting Twilight Cafe last year, and it exceeded all my expectations. The food, particularly the croissant sandwich, was absolutely delicious, leaving me craving more. The ambience of the cafe was inviting and comfortable, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and enjoyment. I especially appreciated the inclusion of games, which provided a fun way to spend time with loved ones and friends. Additionally, the selection of drinks was impressive, offering a variety of options to suit every taste. Overall, I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience at Twilight Cafe, and I eagerly look forward to returning again and again.
Had amazing first experience at the cafe was out for a walk decided to make a stop to check out this amazing cafe by my place and I was very surprised and amazed by the service and the space and the coffee of course . Kevin made me a coffee with Antoine and passion . For anything looking for a place to chill around Dundas square with their friend and enjoy fresh refreshing drinks food and other iteams plz check out this place they have a lot of board , card games and amazing sitting arrangements everything working there seemed super chill
And enjoying the work place which is always a nice thing . Place has a very cool and super chill vibe . Although this time I was only there for coffee I can see myself going back with my friends to enjoy more varieties for refreshments and food they seem to have amazing menu and the price is extremely fair for a cafe in downtown Toronto . All in all amazing place keep up the good work everything . Huge thumbs up for the whole team and see u guys soon .
This was my first visit and I only had breakfast fare so I can't speak to any of the lunch items. The restaurant was clean and had artsy decor. I had the traditional eggs benedict which was average. The eggs were poached nicely, the Hollandaise sauce was rich and tasty, and I actually liked the home fries. I wasn't a fan of how the eggs rested on halved scones instead of English muffins like eggs benny normallyis. The texture didn't pair well with the eggs, although the mild sweetness paired somewhat nicely with the richness off the Hollandaise sauce. The coffee was good but very overpriced: $4 for a small cup of coffee for which I was offered one refill. Would I come here again? Sure, but I would like to see what else downtown Whitby has to offer.
Its a somewhat small place, we had our daughter with us and although they didnt have room for a stroller, they had a great alternative to have her stroller seat on a high chair placed upside down! They were so accommodating the waitress was so kind and made sure it was to our liking. The food on the otherhand… WOW! Everything was overly delicious! It was so good, I completely forgot to take a photo of my dish. I upgraded my fries to a hollandaise poutine and YUM! This place definitely ranks on my top 10 favourite brunch restaurants!
First time trying this spot for breakfast a few weekends ago, they were super busy but were able to accommodate a table for 2. The loaded french toast is to die for, perfect combination of sweet and savory. Staff were all pleasant and consistently checking on us. Will be back!
Amazing food. Great portion and delicious. Price is very reasonable. Love the art work all around. It’s a busy place and recommend to make reservation. Egg was fresh and cooked perfectly. Love the poutine. Jam is home make and delicious.
This was my first time visiting The Food and Art Cafe. I dined in with my family and I was blown away by the service. Really great food, ambiance and service! I will definitely come back. Such a hidden gem in Whitby!
I would have given this place 4 stars but due to a couple reasons, I dropped it to a 3. The place was very busy when my wife and I went on a Friday night; one of the staff took our orders but what looks like some notes app on his phone. They were nice and seemed a bit busy I suppose.

The atmosphere was nice with quite a lot of seating available; the place also offered board games (two separate shelves near the back) for $6/2 hours so that would be part of the reason for it being so busy.

We ordered the Taiwanese braised pork rice and classic omelet; the rice came quite quickly but after waiting over thirty minutes after (even after finishing our rice), our omelet did not come. We thought they forgot about it and proceeded to the front to pay. They told us the omelet just finished, so we took it home. The rice was pretty good and the omelet was alright but definitely shouldn't not have taken over half an hour to make, else they should have told us beforehand.

Overall, I would recommend coming here with friends once in a while as a get together, but would avoid getting the omelet but the rice was not too bad. Their logo looked pretty good too in my opinion. I just wished the service was a bit more organized or had better communication.
This USED TO BE our favourite place to go for vegan breakfast until the new management decided to change their JustEgg product to a made in-house version. 🤮 We were regulars, yet no one even bothered to give us a head's up - they just tried to sneak it in to see if we noticed. We noticed but thought it was bad because the kitchen was so busy. They tried to tell us the switch was made because the other product had a lot of preservatives in it. Yet they sell bacon and processed chicken products. Obviously this was done to save money. No thanks. Haven't been back since. I don't like how they treated us at all and feel betrayed. Photos included here are from BEFORE.
