I have been to a few board game cafes in the city and FTW had the best vibe by far. The service for food was quick, the staff were friendly, and although it did not have the biggest selection for games - they had everything I was looking for. It was nice to be able to make a reservation even on a weekend. We tried tons of games that we have been meaning to try! Thanks!

Such a great time at the cafe Lokal, as per usual, we waited a bit, but honestly it’s always a pleasure to be seating in this cocooning cafe. The team is really welcoming, smiling and helping. The atmosphere is always warm and the customers nice. The decoration is really atypical and will make you travel in some location in France. Their tables are really original and well thought and designed. Everywhere you look at there is a specific decor who gonna attract your eyes. The food is good, the coffee and other beverages as well. Enjoyable and lovable place, I recommend strongly

My friend and I came here to have brunch and chat and this was the perfect place for it! Very homey, affordable, lovely ambiance and excellent service .

The avocado toast is good but the toast was a bit hard and too crunchy. The matcha latte was pretty good and I got less sweet and such cute latte art! The london fog was also decent although is a bit on the sweet side. I'm not sure if I would get the avocado toast again for the price but everything is pretty good. I don't recommend this place for studying as it is pretty loud but it's perfect for catching up with a friend. Lovely service and their blueberry muffin is also delicious!

Overall, recommend!

An amazing gem in kits. Everything here is so delicious.
I wish there had more options of cookies and pastries.
This location is never consistant in any category in contrast with their other locations. They are always low on food items and if they do have any available, it's older inventory. The food most definitely isn't as fresh as the other locations. Furthermore, their selection is very limited as they attempt to execute and minimize their daily food waste at the expense of us customer's enjoyment and joy. This location diminishes the hype, drive, and excitement for coffee. Speaking of coffee, very limited selection ; other locations have the luxury to offer the entire selection of your basic brews. This location only offers what will methodically sell. This is disappointing. I know plenty of methods to resolve this but that'd be a conversation for another day when I'm offered a basic medium roast brew. Your other locations have it. Overall, clean and tidy store. Calmimg enviornment. Parking in the area sucks.

Was here for a birthday party. Very large space and this is one of the nicer play structures. They even have a small trampoline section. The play structure is designed well to be maze like and has lots of turns to keep things interesting. Great for ages 3 to 7 year olds, adults had fun joining in too. Great slides. 👍

Local is my local. I visit once or twice a month in the Winter and once or twice a week in the summer. The staff are fantastic and the food/coffee is always good. They welcome me and my dog to sit outside and enjoy the great coffee, atmosphere and location.
Ordered a burger from Coal Miners over the holidays and wow, very impressive in size and taste. I had the mountie burger with fries which are freshly cut, the burger was so tasteful and big I could barely finish it. I made the effort to eat the burger and have my fries last, which I didn't finish. The amount of food you get for the price is so worth a stop and eat in or take out.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, very typical of a small town and especially Cape Breton.
Highly recommended for either breakfast, lunch or supper and evening snacks.

I had a horrible negative experience at Cafe Lokal on 4th Ave.

I ordered my coffee and this is how I received it (see picture). I was shocked when I saw the ticket and the fact that they had written “INDIAN GIRL”.

There are numerous ways to identify a person without using race as the first. Yes I have brown skin, but that should not be the characteristic to identify me by. Also I am not a girl, I’m a full gown woman in my 30’s. There are a lot of assumptions here about my ethnicity, gender, age etc. When in simple they could identify me by order number, table number, or simply just ask my name!

I’m shocked beyond words as I have always experienced inclusivity here in my hometown of Vancouver. This is not how we treat diversity, this is not a good representation of our beautiful community in Kitsilano!
This cafe offers tasty food, well presented flavorful drinks, and an impressive selection of board games. Everything was very neat and clean. 14.00 per person to play, 10.00 per person if you order something from the menu. Perfect for casual hangouts or game nights with friends.
Our take out orders are wrong
almost every time we order and the
customer service when trying to
resolve the issue, isn't the greatest.
Customers are going to a restaurant to get what they want and pay for. I boycotted in the past for burned food and wrong orders and
will be doing it again. Inconsistent,
missing items, orders messed up
and no chance of communicating
like adults to resolve the issues.
Check your take out items prior to
leaving the restaurant if you're ordering.

The best theatre space in Hamilton. The karaoke nights are a blast. The cocktails are offensively good.
Nice that you pay only for the kids but can still enter to supervise them. Lots of unique features on the playground. I'd say 6-8 is the ideal age range for what's here. There's food available, we tried some of the Asian offerings and they were ok. Pizza looked good but I think it's pricey.

The staff here are amazing and go above and beyond. The kids love coming here and always have fun. Not overly expensive compared to other play places, especially on week days. Great place to take the kids to run off some energy while parents can enjoy a coffee.

Fantastic atmosphere, welcoming staff, and outstanding service! We tried the boursin avocado toast, which was incredibly fresh and tasty. The coffee was also exceptional! We're definitely planning a return visit!
Always love spending time at a board game cafe, and especially love it when they offer bubble tea!

I ordered the Cajun fries. I don’t do ketchup, so I asked for mayo instead, but they wanted to charge me $2 for mayo, which I thought was odd, hence the -1 star. But other than that, I would recommend.

At a time when the world is in sad turmoil, we need The Staircase & its fun events more than ever to keep our spirits up. And it's the only place in town for improv classes. Recommended!
Great little board game cafe in north York. Admission is discounted if you get a drink or food item which you most likely will. Good selection of games to play and for sale. Staff are knowledgeable about many games. Would recommend if you’re in the area!
Great place to spend an afternoon! Lots of super fun board games and a chill environment to play in. The highlight was definitely the gamesmaster, who provided very detailed and fun explanations, alongside recommendations that I really had fun with. The cafe aspect was a bit average, but the rest of the place made up for it.
OMG! WHAT??? I think we found a GEM of a location, no lie! this food was so shokingly good that i was just speachless, the waitress was amazing, she understood that we are on a really tight schedule, so she did her best to accomdate, the burger was so tasstttyy i still remember it ^_^

"Important Consideration for Families Visiting"

I recently visited this facility and would like to share an experience that may be particularly relevant for parents. The facility operates until 8 p.m., offering a great opportunity for evening visits. However, it's important to note that the only cafeteria on the premises closes at 6:30 p.m. Moreover, the facility has a strict policy against bringing outside food.

This policy poses a significant challenge, especially for families with young children who may get hungry during the later hours of their visit. Understandably, managing food policies in public spaces can be complex, but this current arrangement doesn't seem to accommodate the needs of all visitors, particularly little ones.

Therefore, I would kindly urge the facility management to reconsider this policy. Allowing outside food after the cafeteria's closing time, or extending the cafeteria's hours, could greatly enhance the experience for families with children and ensure that all visitors can enjoy their time without worry.

For parents planning a visit, please be aware of this situation and plan accordingly. It might be wise to visit earlier in the day or ensure your children have a substantial meal before arriving. I hope this review helps in planning your visit and that the facility will consider making changes for a more family-friendly experience.

Saw an improv performance this weekend. Small theater where you are always close to the action. Wonderful.
I recently tried the Ham and Cheddar Sandwich, which was really nice. I especially liked the texture of the toasted sandwich. It's hard to find a spot for a quick lunch in this area, but this store was a great find for me.
This is my favourite coffee shop in Vancouver! Everything is delicious and Penny is in the front of the house with a big smile every single morning…she makes the whole experience very especial. 🤍

We love you Penny! ✨🫶🏽

This is a hidden gem in Vancouver!
What a nice surprise. Great service and menu. We had a blast. The games are awesome, thanks to Game Master Brad for helping us out. I Definitely recommend and I will return.

I have been bringing the kids here for about 7 years, and I love it! I am so happy they made it through the covid years. It has plenty of space for parents to sit, free internet, I can plug my laptop and work while the kids run wild =D. They have gluten free options in the menu. And the service is always nice. I do like to come when know there will be less people. It can be nuts on rush times. The staff are great! Friendly and nice =)

I am so sorry but this is the second time I have received the wrong order at this restaurant. I am not impressed. Just make sure you check your order prior to leaving if you are doing pick up. I asked for ham and bacon and only got ham. I don't know if I will be ordering from here again.
I was in a meeting nearby and needed something quick to eat. I grabbed the Turkey and Brie sandwich from this coffee shop and really liked it. I have another appointment in a few weeks and will try the pulled pork then. I hope to find the same consistency.

We are tourists, we really like cycling, in our country we practice it 100%. We were visiting cycling places in Canada to have a nice experience, but we didn't feel it here.

We only saw:
Rude staff on the cafe side.
Very bad customer service
staff range from pleasant to quite disengaged
quite elitist
They do not accept cash
Sorry, I won't be back.this is not cycling.
Convenient location to burn some hours chilling with a cold brew.
Stopped for a muffin and latte. The space is inviting (lots of plants) and the baristas were really nice - I changed my mind twice mid-order, but they were cool about it. My iced latte (decaf, almond milk) was great, very smooth. I had a vegan blueberry passionfruit muffin. I was drawn to the muffin in the case because, seeing all the blueberries on top, I had expected a lot of berries distributed throughout too, but it turned out there were no berries inside the muffin at all. Maybe this was an intentional decision to put all the berries on top, but I could not get on board with it, it made the bottom half of the muffin very plain. I liked the vibe of the place and the coffee was great so I’d definitely give it another try, but would be a little careful about my baked good selection next time.
Excellent mini golf spot for an after dinner activity as it is open until 11pm. There are 2 different courses. They are well lit and well kept.

Stopped in here for lunch recently, overall not the best experience. The service was quick and friendly which is the only reason for the 2, otherwise it would be a 1.
We asked about the fish, and it's frozen fish, and we asked about the fries which are also frozen crinkle cut fries. Seriously guys? You can't cut potatoes and make fresh fries?? Those 2 things should have tipped us to go and try somewhere else but we were in a hurry and hungry so decided on the hot turkey sandwich and western sandwich.
Hot turkey sandwich was bland and flavorless, gravy had no taste, needed seasoning. The mashed potatoes were dry and chalky, like they either used powder potatoes or they added no milk or butter to them and again needed salt. Veggie were freezer burned.
Western sandwich was decent but needed salt, onion rings needed salt.
There are much better places to eat in town for less. I'd try somewhere else.
All in all coming here is a great family activity. We went though and completed two rounds of mini golf, hit up the arcade in between to catch a break from the sun and grabbed a snack on the way out.

2 x adults, 1 x 12yrs, 1 x 10yrs. Arrived at 11:00 am and left around 3:00 pm.

Mini Golf - Pretty self Explanatory. The counter attendants provided clubs appropriate for the height of each player. The courses offered a variety of angled shots and challenges. We all enjoyed it. Shade was harder to find on the first 18 hole course, so I'd suggest doing that one first and taking a break.

Arcade - some machines were out of service, quite a few were in service. Playing the games yielded the kids a lot of tickets. The arcade facilitators were patient with our kids winning.

The whole experience was pretty great.
Mini Golf and Bumper Boats is so fun! Mini golf does get pretty busy during the peak times, but it goes by pretty fast! Bumper boats are great and you get to stay out pretty long - you will leave soaked!!! So much fun!!

Great service, great staff, and welcoming environment. On the bike side, the Enroute team has helped me out of a jam several times this summer due to mechanical issues and get me back riding as soon as possible. On the cafe side, the staff are great - eager to get to know you by name, with great coffee and pastries. Overall, great place to hang out, engage with the vibrant local cycling community, get your bike serviced by their expert mechanic, and drink good coffee.
We came here for the first time and had a blast. The course was perfect for families.

There were a lot of people here on Friday night, and yet, it didn't feel uncomfortably crowded. We were able to play at our leisure, and none of the stations felt repetitive. We also appreciated the motions and lights at some of the stations.

We had a blast and look forward to returning for another fun time!
I've been here quite a few times over the years. I love it so much. Two mini putt courses for the price of one! It's adorable and super well maintained.
Paradise Lost. Haven't visited in a couple years, but the new owners have clearly let this place go down hill. This used to be THE place of my childhood. Would go every year. But now it's definitely sad and run down.

The course itself was maintained fine, but the arcade is where games go to die. More machines were out of service than were actually working. To get tokens we had to go back out to the front desk, wait in line again (behind a family complaining that nobody was monitoring the group of teenagers loitering on one of the holes), and then wait as the lady counted out the coins one by one.

Prizes... well, we had to wait 10 minutes until the lady came back from her break. And what did we have to choose from? Fruit roll ups..?! Come on.

But hey, I guess buckets of what I think are chlorine are freely available for kids to play with.

Did I mention 1 round of golf for 2 adults and a 3 year old came to $49. Get real!
An immaculately kept fantastically fun mini golf course, well actually two courses! It's a tradition of ours to always find a mini golf when on holiday and this is possibly the best we've been on. Clean, challenging, good equipment. Couldn't fault it. More than happy to recommend.
There was mold on the tomatoes!!!
How is it possible to sell???
I ordered a vegetarian samosa with side salad. I took at work for lunch but I couldn’t even eat it. It was disgusting!
Do NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION.
I stumbled upon a coffee shop in Strathcona, and it was a delightful surprise. The coffee was delicious, and the banana muffin was both sweet and soft. I also enjoyed the quiet ambiance in the morning.
This is a great course, two courses actually. Recommend doing the two course package, the second course 'treasure island's themed is harder but also can be completed faster. The water attractions mostly were functional, the whole park had a fantastical and fun vibe. Friendly staff.
Great place to relax and play some games with friends. The food there is perfect for the atmosphere, more so finger food than an actual meal. Although, you can fill yourself up quite quickly on the snacks. They have a diverse set of games which is really nice. Anywhere from Coup, to Guess who, and card against humanity. There’s parking nearby so it’s not completely out of the way.
I discovered this location a couple of days ago, and I must say, the coffee and the food are amazing. You can even see the roasting machine in the back, adding to the atmosphere. The staff is amiable and welcoming.
I recommend trying the combo. I ordered the Raspberry Scone with a latte, and it was a good match. The pastry is soft and sweet, while the coffee tastes fresh. 10/10

Great theatre space and café! Theatre seats have fantastic sightlines. They are however somewhat uncomfortably tilted back - if there are folding seats placed at the front you might want to consider that, or be ready to sit forward to relieve the pressure on your back.

Great fun for kids. They have slides, trampoline, air guns, arcade games etc. They have separate play area for toddlers as well. One thing I like the most they have enough sitting for parents/guardians unlike other indoor playgrounds. Food was also good but there kitchen closes at 6 which was disappointing.
Booked a table ahead. We were served right away. We ordered nutella latte, nutella hot chocolate, okonomiyaki fries, for the win belt sandwich, and shibuya toast. Everything's really delicious. The biard games are located at the back of cafe and they can be easily located as they have codes. They also have recommendedations so you won't be overwhelmed by how many games you can play. The staff were nice and accomodating. The place is very well maintained and clean. And you can really enjoy everything here. A must recommend cafe for everyone.

This indoor playground is so much fun for kids. This place is safe & clean. It is a great place to celebrate kids birthday...they have good birthday party packages. You can spend some hours & you can also buy food from there. There is one baby area , one toddler area too.
This place is always very busy. Staffs are helpful. There is plenty of parking over there.

A very homey cafe with table service, bit of a wait on the weekends for brunch during peak times. The staff were lovely, very communicative which we appreciated. Their espresso is delicious and strong. Sandwiches/paninis are filling and paired with enough greens.
Definitely check this place out if you have the chance!
Enroute is doing hard working bring such good brand and product. I like the way that work. I've been there brand opening & ride. The manager, he was super nice and friendly. No complain and this will be the best bike & coffee shop ever.

I give it a hundred Stars if I could. Very beautiful full over 7,500 different plant species, hummingbirds, hawks, Canadian geese, herons, butterflies and turtles oh and Koi. Although that's what the brochure says I didn't see any birds but did hear some, didn't see any Turtles and only saw one koi. It's like a lush Garden that you've never been into like The Secret Garden. Lots of beautiful flowers and I would imagine the best time to visit would probably be the springtime. There's an amazing maze there that was so much fun to go through that has 3,000 pyramid Cedars so you can't see over the top. There's a very beautiful serene and pictures small lake with waterfall and architecture with sculptures. The cost is under $10. Definitely, worth the visit to Grandville area.

**update** it's awesome to come here on a PD day from school or during the week. Energy level is a lot more low key. My 3yo had the time of his life.

Extremely reasonable in prices. Tons for the kids to do! I would say it's best for 5 and above as the energy inside is really intense lol but they do have a few chill spots for the younger crowd.

This is the place you'll want to take your littles to all winter long for sure.

I wish they could get their arcade area a bit bigger and some more little kid ride ons.

I really want to like this place - the location is great, the shop is super cute and the coffee is good. After several disappointing experiences, however, I won't be back.

On the café side, the staff range from pleasant to pretty disengaged. On top of that, the food and coffee is overpriced. On the bike side, the staff I have engaged with have been unhelpful and pretty elitist. The whole atmosphere is very unwelcoming and not at all reflective of the supportive cycling community that exists in Vancouver. This place has the potential to be awesome, but Enroute needs to consider a major attitude adjustment :)

Tried the (local favourite) CMC Burger ….YOU MUST TRY THIS ONE. Heavenly blend of flavour, perfect home style hamburger and a heap of crinkle fries or salad if you choose. Daughter enjoyed her chicken fingers for once so that’s a win.

Great breakfast nook. Ordered coal miners breakfast with substitute toast. Would have liked the home fries to have been seasoned. If you have kids the adult pancakes is too large for them. May want to stick the kids meal instead. Wife had the quesadilla and absolutely loved it. Coffee was perfect house blend

Service was scrambled looked like they were missing a dishwasher and were kinda upset at their situation which was quite evident. These ladies overcame the obstacle and deserve a raise and a pat on the back.

Never disappointed by the quality of the service, food and coffee here.

Went here to see The Monsters of Schlock in October with my sister. She has been to other events here and was thrilled to share the experience with me. I was not disappointed! I had however missed the email I had been forwarded about the late show being cancelled. We came in to eat before it.....the staff was quick to figure out (without us saying anything) that this was the case and quickly got us into the early show which was just getting underway and was sure to invite us back to another show in the week at no expense. Top Notch customer service! On our return later that week we enjoyed some cocktails and a Massive Nacho plate that 4 of us had a hard time finishing! Be sure and have their signature spiral fries!

I really liked the flavour of this coffee. Simple interior decor. A little too uncluttered for my taste in terms of cafes. I think the atmosphere just didn't quite invite me to linger to finish my coffee inside or to return unless I'm in the area. Nice staff. Washroom available.
Outstanding customer Service!

It was our first visit to the cafe and were juggling between Basket and High Tea for afternoon lunch today and finally opted for high tea based on suggestion from Jagdish at the front desk. We made a request for a vegetarian sandwich as it's not a standard menu item and she took the request. I must say that it's the finest vegetarian sandwich we have ever had with fine choice of ingredients such as Egg plant, tomatoes, mushroom, zucchini, cheese and sauce. It literally melted in our mouth! The savouries and croissant were equally delicious. Additionally, her outgoing customer service and the ability to seek feedback on how the food is an icing on the cake.
We were ecstatic about the food, happy with the price tag and delighted with the above and beyond customer service offered by her. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone who visits Vancouver.

We sampled lots of items on the menu and they were all great. My favorite drinks were the peach iced tea and the charcoal raspberry shake. Caesar salad was really good. The fries were "too good to share"- the spice was perfect. The quesadillas were awesome and very filling and ideal for sharing. I'd recommend the brownie for dessert. We sat outside but the the interior is worth checking out. So many creative details! We're looking forward to renting the theatre for an upcoming birthday celebration. Changing my old 5-star review of the coffee shop after a number of negative experiences, here. On separate occasions, both my partner and I were excessively overcharged for service.

I went in for a bike service, booked beforehand, was sent a confirmation and calendar hold saying service would be complete on the same day. Showed up, was told it would be done *in a few days*. Asked them to take a look at a few things & call me if there were any issues. No communication whatsoever and they call me to pick it up many days later. They charged me $1,200 & had swapped major drivetrain components that did not need replacement. Some of that charge was things I asked for. They just upgrade things willy-nilly and expect people not to notice. Or, in both my partner and my experience on separate occasions, blame a “shop miscommunication” and then try to justify the forced-upsell as necessary work. Once called out on their dishonesty, they admitted the parts were not needed & reinstalled.

The whole experience was dishonest & poorly communicated. I loved visiting the coffee shop, but the whole bike service felt like a scam designed to extract as much money as possible from inattentive point grey bike daddies. Look at your bill closely, these folks are going to attempt squeezing a few extra hundred dollars of upgrades that you don’t need.

Today was my first time back at Pallet since March and I felt very comfortable and safe here. There was a big bottle of sanitizer at the entrance, and after tapping to pay, the cashier immediately wiped down the machine. There was also another bottle of sanitizer for the customer to use after payment. There was a plexiglass between the staff and customers. Come try their coffee and BYO breakfast. There is a variety of bread, protein, and cheese to choose from, an egg and greens included. Portion was generous for $9, very reasonable. The staff is friendly as usual, even during this difficult time.

6 of us came here for breakfast and when we walked in there was a musty / mildew smell.

Quickly realized this was not a cafe, it's a diner.

If you are looking for a cafe, try somewhere else.

My uncle had a hankering for lunch but he was told they won't do anything special off the lunch menu during breakfast.

My sister is vegan and she was only able to drink coffee since they have no vegan options at all, not even fruit.

They wouldn't even let my sister bring a vegan item in from the real cafe up the road.

Coffee was nothing special, a 3 of 5. The tea pot was leaky and spilled down on the table when poured.

Staff was very friendly and Pam was great, she redeemed the visit with her waitress skills and humor. Quick to fill the coffee pot.

Food quality was ok, good but not great. Eggs Benny not lemony enough. Bacon overdone, too crispy, but they liked both.

Waitress was great, fast and efficient Did I mention?

My uncle and I got steak and eggs and our steaks were cooked perfect except too much fat on both steaks, the quality of the cut of meat was not awesome.

Waitress Pam was great.

If you want coffee that's more ethical, and better than the generic stuff you can pick up at any old grocery store, Allegro is where it's at. That being said, it's certainly not the best coffee option in the city. It's OK.

Fresh baked goods were tasty, tables were dirty however which always raises concerns about general hygiene levels.
Very bright and spacious coffee place!
Good coffee and wide range of food for a coffee shop.
Note: kitchen works only until 2pm.
Not all tables are “laptop-friendly”, would not recommend for long hours of work.
Staff was not very friendly, though.
This was my first time to visit this coffee shop as I was working in this neighbourhood. I saw some good or bad comments about this coffee shop. I tried the other branches at other two locations. They were pretty good, so I decided to try this one on west broadway.

I came here around 1pm. There was some customers. No lineup. It was great! A barista at the cashier greeted me with a pleasant smile and asked for my order. I ordered a cheddar cheese scone and a cup of 12oz latte. They cost me $8.05. The price was average and reasonable. The scone was soft but it would be nice if a barista could heat it up a little bit, so it would be warm and fresh again. The latte was smooth and had a good balance of milk and coffee. I liked it.

The ambience was comfortable but I did not have a chance to sit, eat and relax here. Overall, I had a great experience here.
