This place is great for getting Asian snacks. Unfortunately and I know this isn't there fault because there such a small chain but the stuff that's not Asian like produce is not very competitively priced.

The staff offered me the best service possible.
One item I wanted, which was Ingeolmi rice cake.
Despite me hurrying before closing, the staff and their colleagues were trying hard looking for a single item for me.
I'm impressed by how caring they are.
Cannot express my love for Galleria enough. Fantastic prices on delicious ready to eat meals and snacks, meal kits, and other staples for cooking back home. If you haven't got mom's fried chicken, you're missing out 🔥
I visit to get original Korean foods every day..I can also find many nostalgic items that I used to eat when I was a child.. they always manage qualities good and fresh..my favorite store

This place is fantastic for Indo-Chinese groceries! They offer a wide selection of fresh and frozen seafood and chicken of excellent quality. There's plenty of parking available, and they have a diverse range of fruits, vegetables, and groceries. Additionally, being in a plaza, there's a bakery and restaurant nearby, which adds to the convenience. Overall, it's a great spot with helpful staff. Highly recommended!

The entrance looked like vegetarian heaven. Cheap greens everywhere. Place like these allow me to understand better why groceries prices by the larger corporation are unbelievably high. But there are some items here that are expensive too…. Can’t win at all right? They gotta profit too 🤭

Loved the varieties of fresh groceries they have! Unfortunately, over last weekend we bought a bag of Asian pears that all of them were rotten from inside. We have no choice but have to throw them out!
Overall there's great imports, the prices are highly inflated unfortunately. You can occasionally find some stuff on sale but not too often.

The warm food section is really good, but again, pricey. There's some potential...
Love the pre-cooked food! As good as Korean restaurant

I only have this store’s Kimchi. It is the best in Toronto.
Best kimchi ever, beats restaurant kimchi I try to come here as often as possible I’ll never buy regular branded grocery store kimchi again. It’s crazy fresh
I've only visited this store a few times, but unfortunately, each experience has been very unpleasant. The store has a very unfriendly policy for customers; regardless of how much you buy, when checking out, you're not allowed to place the basket on the counter. You have to hold the basket, by the time place items in front of the cashier, and then return the empty basket to the front yourself. The staff refuses to provide any assistance. Once, when paying with a credit card, the cashier rudely claimed the card machine was broken and demanded cash. Can't you see the sign?

I hope this terrible store closes as soon as possible; such awful cashier shouldn't be in the retail industry anymore. I wish T&T would open nearby, as both products and service are much better than H Mart!
the supermarket with the WORST customer service, or at least for people who don't speak Chinese. When you get to the checkout to pay they don't even look at you, they don't even ask you if you need a bag and when you ask for one they tell you it's too late. I thought they were like that with all clients but you can see that the interaction is different if you speak Chinese, it may be something cultural, but I think that in general kindness is always going to be kindness no matter what language you speak.

Peace!

This little H Mart carries some of almost everything I'd need: fresh fruits and vegetables, refrigerated items like tofu, kim chi, sauces, frozen foods, and dry staples. They also sell prepared dishes for taking out & reheating at home. Sometimes they have good sales on certain items, too.
My first time here. I needed tomatoes but was curious about the store in general as I enjoy Asian grocers and cuisine. I was not disappointed. Many of my favourite items were here. As a grocereteria it's quite well stocked and clean. I would have no fear of consuming anything spoiled from here. Cashiers are helpful and friendly too.

It's OK. The guy who worked there was cool, hard working, but the cashier was not nice and not friendly. It's too bad. I use to like shopping there but because of the cashier attitude when I asked if I can leave my stuff on the counter and be back to pay, she was not nice about it even I explained why. I will not visit this place anymore. I will visit Galleria on Yonge and Steeles. People there at less are nicer and friendlier. And they have more selection too. Hope this H mart cashier changed their attitude otherwise customers will leave because of bad experience. So sad 😞

I was followed around this store as a potential shoplifter, even though I was wearing a BRIGHT RED coat and buying a product that was on sale for ONE DOLLAR. Seriously, if I was going to shoplift, would I wear such a bright colour and go for the cheapest item possible?? This isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience here. I will never shop at this store again.
Best kimchi in the town! highly recommended

The selection is decent and the location is convenient because it's central. But the items can be a bit overpriced and the staff are rude. I'd rather travel the extra short distance and shop at the Dundas location for better service. Or shop at T&T.
Rotten and spoiled food
The Mochi that I bought was rotten and it was like it had been out of the fridge. Even the taste was changed

My mom bought a fresh Chinese yellow croaker fish with 19/lb which other supermarket market was doing $4.99/lb on sales (even not on sale was selling $5.29/lb). It was just 2 days apart from she found that out. She was so pissed and asked me to leave this comment.

Great selection of East Asian food and a homely grocer. They provide a invaluable service by having stock of good I've rarely seen in other shops and restaurants.

Generally the staff have issue with English but reminds me of the old Chinatown supermarkets. However it's a bit more quieter but still as busy. Their produce looks really fresh and have a large variety of meat cuts. They also have prepared items for a grab-n-go lunch. Regrettably Kimchi isn't in a lunch size portable.

If I had a better living situation, I'd shop here often just because I can get some great stuff to compliment my meal.

I love coming here and getting their taiyaki. They are usually always making fresh batches so the taiyaki tends to be fresh and hot! I personally get the one with custard as the red bean is a little heavy especially after eating a meal. One taiyaki is enough for me but you could always buy more and heat it up at home.
My grocery store for Asian food.
The food court inside is amazing too. All food are tasty. Premade food are good too. Seasonal fruit from South Korea is available and very good priced most of the time.
Many Korean pantry and produce staples in one place. Seasonal veg is always fresh and I love to grab kimbap or one of the other prepared food items while I'm there. I go out of my way to shop here.

I just bought a few things at Sunny just now (12:13pm now). The Chinese broccoli was extremely stale - mostly hidden inside the bag where a shopper cannot see.
I’ve attached the receipt and the conditions of the vegetables. Too bad I don’t live close or else I would return it. Not recommending this store for veggies!
Best Kimchi ever!! I got the “Mat” style. Huge tub $16.99. Legit. Tasty. Salty. Spicy. Umami.

Good selection of Korean (and other Asian) grocery items. The taiyaki was good too! It was $3 each (cash only) and freshly made. Fillings include red bean and custard. I would have preferred it to be slightly more cooked/crispy but that might just be me!

There's an international package delivery service in the store. The staff was very kind and nice, helping me send my stuff to Korea. Also, the groceries here looked authentic and nice.
Do not go here. my girlfriend and I were long time customers of this establishment but when we went in today we were followed around the store by the security guard who looked into my girlfriends bag multiple times. we are not thiefs and have never stolen from this place but he insisted on saying her water bottle was from the store. it was a flow water a product that they don’t even carry in this store. we both felt extremely violated and when we asked to speak with a manager the employee behind the cash kept telling us to pay. I won’t be returning to this store again.

It is what it is, largely a korean specialty grocer that sells many of the things you would want for any asian dish plus tons of snacks, sweets and drinks direct from Korea and other asian locales. Depending on the store size some things might be found in one and not another.
The store manager and staff were very helpful! Great choice of products - they have many items that I can’t find at different asian stores

Love the selection of drinks and are always stocked.
I think the glee that COURSED through my veins when I saw the Asian snacks here was a little unhealthy ngl. I mean they literally had MILO, my favourite drink ever ever ever. it’s a little too sweet (and it costs a good $8) for my liking but MILO?? they also had every Korean condiment imaginable and lots of other stuff things for Asian cooking.

there was also an insane amount of ready to eat meals, sweets, snacks, frozen foods, just a sOothing bAlm for my paRchEd soUl. prices were also quite reasonable!
Loved their pre-packed cooked meals especially the boiled pork with Kimchi, it’s a good deal. Their assortment of samyang jjajang buldak was such a delight. And finding bungeoppang here was a happy surprise!

Very good deals here after 8pm. 20% off soon good not swicy. I finished all of it before photo 👍👍👍
5box for a litter of water. They implant themselves, try too hook you in with small prices, discounts and memberships then once they've made themselves necessary, bump up the prices to the stratosphere. Not one item is fairly priced.

I love this grocery store and get all my favourite greens and mushrooms here! I also love the snacks and candies they sell as well as the makeup items that are usually sold on the upper level. Now and then, there will be some charming or trendy items that I'll also pick up. There's even convenient parking behind the store for those with cars.

Superb range of Asian and European fresh produce and groceries. Very good prices and stock levels. I really like the prepared food items like Spicy Tofu! I'm lucky that it's in my neighborhood, but I assume that it must draw customers from all over the GTA.
The Korean Grocery Store is always well stocked, and I love the lovely Korean cashiers they're all so nice, professional and excellent at bagging your items so that nothing leaks or breaks.

I forgot my debit card a few weeks back and one of the Korean woman cashier's was so genuine about keeping all of items that she had just rang through cool and in the freezer so nothing spoiled while I took 20 minutes to go and get my debit card which I had left at home. Thank you PAT!!
Great Korean grocery store. Love their produce section as it's good quality and a good price. Meat section is also good, where I get my pork belly from. And don't forget their ready made meals. Tried most of what they offer and haven't been disappointed.
Great selection of Korean groceries as well as local Canadian ones! Pretty sure they have Chinese and Japanese food as well. Self-checkout is also available. Clean and bright.

Just came in looking to buy some late night groceries, but kept on getting uncomfortably approached by one of the male staff (not the security) with long hair (that’s tied up). Upon entering the store, no one greets you and doesn’t seem to be interested in your business. The male staff on the floor immediately gave me a dirty look and kept on following me very closely while I was shopping for groceries. If I’m not mistaken, they have a security guard present (that’s always leaning on things) that’s on the floor because I see the same security leaning on things at the Ryerson/TMU location, so I don’t understand why is the floor staff following me so closely, is lost and prevention part of their responsibility? If so better training needs to be done, especially if you are going to have floor staff trying to do the job of a security officer.

The male floor staff that decided to follow me so closely made it a very uncomfortable shopping experience as he didn’t offer any assistance nor did he greet me, he just kept following me through the aisles, eventually getting close to me near the beverage area, eventually he followed me all the way to the Gimbap area, so I decided to grab one, pay and leave the store immediately as I felt pressured to leave, ended up going elsewhere for the rest of my groceries.

The gimbap was mediocre, the rice was dry, the cuts were rough and not even, the Saran Wrap wasn’t even packaged tightly so air got in, I honestly got this because everything else didn’t look so good and I felt pressured to leave even though the store was still opened for 40mins since posting this.

Probably not returning to this if this is how you greet customers after they are looking to spend their hard earn money after they themselves have finished work, your customer service is pathetic, just like your produce quality.

Please shop elsewhere

Pat Central is my happy place coz I love all things Korean! This store has a large selection of Asian goods at reasonable price.

With their endless aisle after aisle, it's truly a foodie nirvana.

From fresh meat (love their pork jowl) and produce to prepared foods such as fiery homemade kimchi, kimbap/gimbap and various banchan sides or just grabbing some soju for a party, this place exemplifies the beating heart of Korean culture.

You can find housewares ranging from adorable pots and pan for your ramen as well as other kitchenwares like Korean portable grill for your next samgyeopsal bbq.

They also sell a small variety of Kbeauty products includings serums, toners, ampoules and moisturizers.

Every time I come here I spend hours just wandering around so make sure you make a shopping list because you will most likely get sidetracked by all the colourful and exotic Korean foods on display.

This is a favorite place to buy kimchi for many Koreans living in Toronto. I specially like their kkakdugi, radish kimchi.
Saw a lot of great reviews on here so wanted to give it a shot. Now I can say, this is the #1 place to go if you’re looking for authentic Kimchi!! Price is good and taste is awesome like back home. The only thing is some pieces are a bit big but that’s about it. Staff was very friendly as well.
This place has the best kimchi I have tasted so far. We had there spicy pork, warm up add rice and just eat, YUM!!! A really nice Korean butcher shop
Small Korean grocery store located downtown that has a variety of imported products and a small hot foods section. There is a large section for refrigerated vegetables and other products along the wall and in the middle area. Prices feel reasonable compared to its competitors.

There are stairs at the entrance, so it is not accessible for those in wheelchairs.

Based on many years of experiences at H mart in different locations, their customer service level is lacking compared to the competitor, Galleria supermarket.

I emailed a customer service to express concern in the past, they never got back to me.

It is convinient to get essential Korean food items and sometimes they have good promos on items, therefore I would still shop here but that does not mean that I am happy about their quality or service.

Their prepared food/bakery items are okay, not that great. Produce is pretty fresh most of time tho.

The other day I picked up a vegetable croquette for a snack and found very excessive amount of oil ( about a table spoonful) sitting in the package. I purchased croquette from H mart many times before and it was never like this. I met with a manager so he could speak to the bakery department. Manager’s reaction was not apologetic or anything, he just came up with an excuse like it was because plastic package was closed when croquette was still hot. According to him, people were complaining about cold croquette and microwave to heat up is not available, that is why they packaged when they were still hot. Well, if they drained deep fried croquette properly before they package them, it would not be like this.

It is a shane that they don’t have any urgency to improve their customer service.
Awesome Galleria! I wish we had a Galleria this size in Midtown - Yonge and Eglinton really needs this mart! The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious with nice prices - deffo a place to check out!
The go-to for Korean and Asian groceries outside of going to Chinatown. A decent selection but a smaller fresh produce section than I've seen at other locations. Plenty of kimchi and specific Korean cuisine ingredients. Good quality Japanese supplies and cook ware. Signage for the 5 items or less cash is totally not English but they'll sort you out. Very large frozen foods section with other cooked foods and vendors outside the cash checkout. Parking is available, pricing is a higher price point.

Discovered this Korean Store while walking to the nearby subway. Couldn’t help but go in and get lost in world of Korean food. I got a packed Kimchi Fried Rice but it wasn’t spicy at all. I want to believe that their fresh food tastes good. The red bean cake was just so-so.
Good location to get your Korean groceries if you are not picky about brands for frozen goods or cuts of meat.

They also have a great hot food area (though Hmart has a better one) and excellent selection for instant noodle and snacks.

There is also contact free pay options.

Only downside is that the location does not provide free bags and there is no free parking nearby.

Authentic Korean supermarket with a wonderful selection of hard to get Korean food and goods. Fantastic meat department with lots of shabu-shabu options. Huge aisle of Ramen. Jam-like tea, kimchi, gochujang, candies, rice-cakes, socks, tableware, cookware, ajumma hats and slippers. This place is practically a vacation.

Very convenient H-Mart location near Bloor Subway Station. Products are always fresh and they have a nice corner of ready-to-eat food! Very organized and always stocked by staff. Great pitstop for a quick snack. If you're interested in more hot food, also visit the location just north of Dundas Station as it has a food booth as well.
My first time going to this great little independent grocery store that features Korean products but you can also find a nice selection of Japanese and Western items. Will definitely be back to pick up some more of my favorites and try something new.

Why would u get kimchi from anywhere else when u can get the best from here in downtown toronto?! And meat sold in this store is pretty amazing too
EDIT (May,2021): I've changed it to 1 star because I've gone back afterwards and they made another mistake in labelling of priced items (e.g. labelled as $3.99 but it was actually $6.99). They not only didn't honour their mistake, but also accused me of making the error. It's their choice to honour the price difference (I don't mind), but I'm starting to see a trend of potential bait-and-switch practices or bad training of employees.

I used to go p often to get their cheesecake, end of day hot food sales (ok, but not worth it full price), and taiyakis (only good when fresh, not so good after sitting there). They also had great sales on random chip flavours that were fun to try. Other products are available, but often $1-2 more than grocery stores.

Then I stopped going. I got instant noodles and I saw a really good sale. It turns out it was their mistake, however, they wouldn't honour it and shifted the blame to me not reading the sign properly (the sign said ind. pack instead of a pack of 5). The heck? That's when I decided to be petty and no longer go back to their store. I got to Chinatown instead now.

My favorite Korean supermarket in downtown. Great location, great price and variety. Veggies are always fresh and you can buy a big bag of garlic, green onions and chives here. Even their NG cucumber is still very fresh.
Actually like their prepared food selection a lot. Not the cheapest but pretty much the same range as most Korean grocery stores. That being said the prepared meals come in all price ranges so if you want something inexpensive it’s easily to still eat good here.

It is your go to place for asian snacks and drinks. As well, they have ready to eat foods as well or pre cooked meals that need heating up. The selection for korean banchans is awesome as well as fresh raw fish and kimbaps. They also have a huge selection of instant noodles. Good shop, nice staff.
If you’re looking for a taste of what it feels to be in Seoul, South Korea, a quick stop at the H-Mart on Yonge is a Head-first plunge into Korean life and culture. Aside from the importance that these and other similar marts play in everyday life and culture in Korea, you’ll come across some very rare South Korean staple foods that one would only expect to find in South Korea. Most notable in this regard are “Kimpap” (Korean version of Sushi) as well as “Kimchi”. The Hangul writing and distinctively unique Korean-style designs on the packaging of food offer an authentic South Korean cultural experience making the H-Mart more than worthy of a visit. Better yet, challenge yourself to have some squid or octopus or, if you’re feeling less adventurous, have some kimpap and/or kimchi.
I finally came back here today and found it a lot more better with both service as well as cleaner than back then 2 years ago as such put them back as 3 star, but still requires lots of cleaning.

This was when these guys took over 2 years ago : ->> Use to be a reasonably clean and neat Korean style Supermarket, but has totally changed, maybe different management now. Service very ignorant as well as products are terribly messy now, compared to when it was. Moreover, expanding, seeing some construction going on dono what to say.
