This place is so fun! They have a huge record collection that you can dig through and if you want to hear something you find, you just lay it out and they put it on.

The food and drinks were fantastic and so reasonably priced and portions are generous. They have a good selection of local drinks on tap. Service was fantastic from everyone. I was only visiting Charlottetown, but if I lived there I would for sure be back.

They also have multiple (delicious) vegan options, which I greatly appreciated. My dining partner had a flight of 3 completely different kinds of poutine and said it was fantastic. Whatever aioli they put on their fries is unreal. So good.

I stopped in on a Wednesday night, not knowing they were playing music bingo - they play a brief clip of a song, you have to identify it and find it on your card if it is there. They handed out cards and dabbers, explained the rules, and off we went. Service continued efficiently throughout, it was well-organized. I ended up winning 🏆 (yay!), but would have had a lot of fun even if I hadn’t.

Absolutely delicious food/beers, great atmosphere and very quick and attentive service.

If you’re vegetarian this is a must go! One of the first times i’ve gone to a non-vegan restaurant and had lots of options to choose from!

We will certainly be returning when the new menu drops to see what other dishes they will create!

We visited Hopyard for a late lunch around 3 pm, and the place was nearly empty, with just one person handling both serving and bartending. Initially, I was concerned that having only one server might result in a long wait, but he quickly took our drink order and followed up with our main course soon after.

The food arrived promptly, and the Ultimate Burger I ordered was outstanding—one of the best I've ever had. The burger was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside, topped with a mouthwatering sauce, and served with homestyle fries garnished with green onion and mayo. Impressively, the server noticed that my 8-year-old is a picky eater and wisely served the fries without the green onion and mayo.

Overall, the food was excellent, and I highly recommend this place.

Great service and good food with a good diverse beer selection. The menu is a little eclectic but all items we ordered were spot on including brisket grilled cheese and the fried potato salad appetizer. Good collection of vinyl records. Pick one out and they’ll but it in queue to play. Sometimes there’s even live music.

Literally my favourite burger spot, so many options you can never get bored! The Buttermilk ranch onion rings are the absolute BOMB(ask for extra sauce, you’ll need it!🤣) Big Mac nachos & Tater tot fondue also slap, goodluck trying to saving room for one of their cake shakes tho! Worth a try for sure, would highly recommend!

We stopped in for a quick drink on a hot, hot June day. Local beer was great (IPA) and cocktails were great as well. All drinks are reasonably priced. Bartender was wonderful and the vibe is chilled out. Lots of vinyls to choose from and the staff will play them over the speakers for you. 5/5. Definitely recommend
It's a great spot to hangout. The food was good. I enjoyed the fries and appetizers more than the burgers. They have a good burger selection. The service was good. The nashville chicken was a bit sweet rather than spicy.
Only complaint was that the food took really long to come and it wasn't even a very busy time.

Second time coming here. Great food. Great service. Vegetarian friendly. Creative menu. The menu we had this time has lots of Mexican cuisine inspired food. Excellent overall 👍
I wish there were more stars!
Oh good lord!
The 514 beyond delicious
The cheesecake shake whatever heavenly dessert is ...it was a whole shake and an absolutely amazing cheesecake altogether!
Definitely is a must go every week.
Worth the drive from waterloo
When you show up at a burger place at 3pm on Monday... and there is a line up of 12 ppl standing outside in cold wind.. waiting to get in.. you know its going to be good. I did not make reservations but we got to sit at the bar and had a great view of everyone enjoying their meals. This place has a great line up of draught beers (many of my favourites that are not available in most places). and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We had the classic and the original #HAMONT. Without exaggerating..this was the best burger I've had so far. From the patty, to the toppings on the HAMONT and the bun.. everything was just great. the big bonus is that the fries were also the best fries I've had... Fries were perfectly done, not dry, not soggy, just right amount of seasoning.. Try this place, it will be on top of your burger list.

Wonderful drinks, they change the menu every month completely, I like the concept but some of the ideas need to be worked on more for example there is a vegetarian ramen on the menu with the wrong type of noodles!
Has 2 Vegan options, the Vegan Tacos and a Vegan Salade.
Tooks us a while to get a table.
Service at the table was great.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated. The tables are small. The music is loud. Very hard to have a conversation if you were a table of 6. The prices are high for the quantity of food received. Service was very good, but as the restaurant filled up the service slightly degraded.

Kinda boring, dim and lacking character. Cheap drinks, but where do you hire your bartenders? An old fashioned IS NOT made with Southern comfort. The wings could have more flavour. This place is soooo loud and u can't even hear the music. Our server was lovely. She should work somewhere better than this dump.

We absolutely adore our local brewery here in Kits! We knew that when planning my husband's milestone bday that we wanted to host it at Brewing August for numerous reasons. One, it has a great vibe and they brew delicious beer. Two, it is local to us, and we are all about supporting our local businesses. Three, the owners and staff are wonderful, and extremely accommodating. They even let us rename some of the beers for the evening! We were able to bring in our own food, and as a surprise, a Mariachi band. They have a great variety of beers on tap, mead, and even have cans of wine that are really good. For those that don't want any alcohol, they carry artisanal sodas and non alcoholic beer.

Great meal with decent beer selection, I thought they brewed their own but they just serve local beers. Unfortunately no IPA's were on tap and of the beers that were available the server didn't know much about a couple of them we asked about.

I have been looking for a place where there is live Rock music for a long time and I always see this pub, I had never been and yesterday was my first time. I had an incredible time, I highly recommend the classic Mojitos, the beer at its peak and the extraordinary wings. It is worth mentioning that the waiter Andres treated us wonderfully and recommended just what we needed. Very happy to have shared another experience....Thank you

Stopped by this quiet for today brewery just beside the Granville Island entrance. 2 floors, interesting and good tasting beers and mead. I enjoyed my visit, friendly staff and clean.
The music is awesome. I ordered a song, and the band played it very beautifully. We didn't try food, but the beer was great. They have a certain IPA fumé, very delicious. Will definitely go back again.

We love this brewery! It's got a great selection of brews on tap as well as to go. You can order food from a nearby cantina too. It's walking distance for most of Kitsilano and Fairview too!
A small charming brewery tucked in the corner, just outside Granville Island. The craft beers are really lovely and reasonably priced (my personal favorites are their mead and cranberry sour beers - sooo refreshing) - it is my personal favorite when it comes to hosting big groups of friends
Worst place to have a bite to eat... wings where almost raw, fried chicken burger burned, fries re heated at least 10 times... don't recommend to eat maybe drinks is more than enough!
Waste of money 💰 to eat there 😒
But great atmosphere for drinks🍻🍻🍹🍸 had a band playing

Food service and atmosphere were all fantastic. Wonderful waitstaff, super comfortable... but with long pauses between telling us things are out of stock and even longer pauses between bringing out food in parts, the experience was inconsistent across the table.

If you have a handful of people or more, be ready to watch your friends finish their food while you wait for yours.

I've been searching for a close-by shop that offers pour over coffee and this place is one of the few. I'm very new to the whole coffee scene, so I had questions and spoke to Hong (I believe she is the owner) I was able to learn a lot from her giving me tips and advices on brewing my own at home.

It's definitely a hidden gem, and I highly recommend for all coffee goers to go here.

They are also dog friendly and were able to sit down with my dog and enjoy my coffee today.

Thank you for having us today. We will come back again soon!

Was in town for business and attended here twice. Must say the wings are amazing and also "the burger " combo was awesome. The service was wonderful, never got the girls name that served us but Andres was a great guy and very happy to talk too. If in Vancouver you won't be disappointed eating here and it's so close to the waterfront for AMAZING sunsets.

Thank you for great meals and a great couple nights.
The exterior is a bit rough but when you walk in you are transported to another land. Beautiful interior. Ben was incredibly knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. We got a pourover (very complex) and a tiramisu latte (delicious and easy drinking). Great selection of roasts.

It's really amazing that a pub restaurant in one of the iconic corners of this city can feel so authentically Vancouver after all these years. As a young man I always said that the Bayside Lounge (next door) was my favourite place in the city. Back then, the Park Pub was known as Checkers and was more of a traditional standing room pub than the restaurant that it is today. Recently I found out that the Bayside Lounge is operated by The Sands Hotel which also operates the Park Pub and they share the same kitchen so since then I have been coming here and really owe this establishment a positive review.

The newly renovated interior and restaurant atmosphere plus menu, kitchen and service staff are casual, friendly and attentive without pretence. As far as value goes, for what you get here, you won't believe these prices exist Downtown! Come Find out!

Another review of Another Land (spoiler alert: it's narnia!)

First things first is that I would wholeheartedly recommend another land as a place that transcends a home-esque feeling and jumps directly to you wishing this shop WAS your home, with a welcoming cast of staff (there being 2 of them!!) That immediately made me (and my mom lol!!!) Feel ready to order and have a seat.

Now let's get into the nitty gritty of the review, which would be the items I ordered 😀 (those being a Cofftail, a Lychee rose latte, and a Portuguese tart).

Cofftail: Another land has an item called the Cofftail (that being a coffee+non-alcholic cocktail) with a variety of flavours those being "plain, lychee, yuzu" and today I will be focusing on the Yuzu flavour as that was the one I specifically ordered, The yuzu flavour consist of 3 things (an espresso shot "Duh!", Yuzu juice , sparkling water and then they sweeten it) and I found that the drink was a refreshing drink with hints of acidity and low levels of bitterness that reminded me of a specific album by "masayoshi takanaka" called "brasilian skies" with its distinct Japanese and Brazilian summer/beach esthetic(and yes am using this to recommend an album that no one listens too, get off my back lol), and how the flavours meld beautifully into a drink that brings comfort, refreshment, and caffeine with a crisp finish that I highly recommend!!!

Rose lychee latte (my mother's drink of choice!!): My Mom told me that "I found that the drink has a minimal amount of sweetness allowing for the coffee, lychee, and rose to show themselves more while not overtaking the depth of the coffee"
(As I am not the one who drank it, this is all I have 😅.)

Portuguese Tart: And finally we have the Portuguese tart which I ordered for myself and I think it was an interesting take that I genuinely enjoyed, most Portuguese tarts that I have had were more on the sweet vanilla side, while this one was more salty with its buttered puff pastry and a custard that had a "currduly" (I don't think that's a word lol) texture of which I thought was an interesting departure from what I had before.

A few last notes before I sign off: The shop has a variety of coffee beans, coffee equipment, and hand knit key chains made from yarn that I found were absolutely adorable 😄.

All in all, "Another Land" is a soulful speciality coffee shop that has heart, colour, and love put into it (and most importantly, has a fried chicken shop underneath it 🤣!!!) That accentuates what I LOVE about a comfy cup of Joe, and I will surely be coming back soon!!!

I've been looking for a good sports pub. This place is amazing, the food is really good, the staff is very friendly and approachable, and the vibe is different from any other pubs I have been to, everyone is cheering and enjoying the game. The pub has some activities during the game and screens everywhere, which makes it easy to watch the game. I will definitely come back to watch more NFL games.
Specialty coffee above a fried chicken shop hits different. Albeit questionable from the outside, once you pass the stairs, you’re greeted by a gentle and warm atmosphere, aesthetic and thought behind the arrangement. Barista was super nice and welcoming.

As for the coffee, had an iced latte. The roast I believe was on the darker side, with more nutty flavours coming through. I enjoyed the coffee.

Overall, quaint little spot that will not disappoint. Lovely

Tried the place out since I was in the area. Cute cafe on the second level. Has parking in front. Almost easy to miss if you haven't been there. Keep and eye out for the pink sign when driving on Yonge. Coffee beans used is from Monogram coffee, but there is many other selections to buy including Hatch and Rocanini Coffee Roasters from Vancouver. Had a flat white and it was smooth with a citrus note. Prompt service. Ambiance is a cute cafe with unique wall items and small two person tables with a patio outside overlooking Yonge Street. $4-$5. You will receive a discount if you bring your own cup. Overall would recommend if it's near you.

Located next to the DoubleTree hotel, this beer garden had a small menu but large array of beverages on tap. With refillable options and beverages to go, there is a lot to try. We had a great time with the food and amazing soundtrack while dining at Brewdock.

During our visit, we tried the Landwash Brackish, a refreshing Sour Ale infused with authentic Newfoundland Sea Salt. For something a little different, the Brewdock Gimlet is a delicious cocktail mixed with NL Distillery Cloudberry Gin and sea buckthorn berries. Their food menu is small but delicious. We could not resist trying the Spicy Cod Sandwich and the Spicy Shrimp Po Boy which were great choices. Tossed in the famous dry rub from the Fat Puffin Co, the chicken wings were amazing. We ordered it with ranch dip but came as BBQ which was not bad. The only minor downside we encountered was that the menu items do not come with sides like salad or fries so it was a bit more expensive for the quantity you received.

There was ample beer garden space located in the lower floor with picnic tables. However, if you are not in the mood for the outdoor weather, Brewdock indoor dining space on the entrance ground floor where you can order at the bar and conveniently pay with a credit card.

Great beer selection. Great location. Cool beer garden. However. Service is inept. We waited over 25 minutes for 2 beers. Server brought both of us the wrong beers, probably forgot since it was over 25 minutes. Apologized and brought my wife the right one, but said he thought mine might have been what I ordered? Taproom only had 9 tables, so not busy. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Osmantus Latte is great, except a little expensive(but that’s my problem😭)
Service is also very friendly, though staff are very busy
Atmosphere is also nice, many people study or work here, they have a balcony as well. But stairs is very narrow, not friendly to kids or elderly. Place is very small on the second floor as well.
Overall nice experience, considering the price, may not come again🥲
Went to Balthazar on Wednesday evening, terrace, party of 2. Made a reservation (not possible for the terrace, but when we arrived, we asked, and we were given a seat outside). Our waiter Jean-Philippe was awesome and on-the-ball. He promptly took our drink orders (pichet: Blanche du Paradis - excellent white beer beer). For the main course, we took the Salmon tartare - my friend took the Aloha: it has mango and pineapple (my kryptonite!); I took the Orange: it was with a sour cream mix, pieces of orange, and orange zest topping. I enjoyed mine, though I feel it was lacking in spices or tang (garlic salt or maybe coriander). The side I took was sweet potato fries. I understood it was a $2 extra, but it was in fact $4 which I find crazy considering the portion I received (little basket, picture makes it seem like there are more than there actually are)...The portions of the tartare dish and baked bread (lightly seasoned) were perfect. The service for the evening was great, we were never missing anything, we did not need to ask for anything. I would recommend!

We had beers in the beer garden with the guys for a bachelor party last week and it was awesome! Ryan, the server, did a great job keeping the jugs going. Some of the guys had fries and other apps which looked great. The huge selection of beers on tap and having a spot to sit outside made it a really awesome time. I can't wait to sit outside there this summer. Highly recommend!
Fun service, great drinks, and perfect for late-night munchies! This restaurant may have okay food, but the lively atmosphere and friendly staff make up for it. The drink selection is great and they know how to keep the good times flowing. Ideal spot for a late-night hangout with friends!

I tried their original burger, I'll be honest I was expecting something tasty because I'd read the reviews before, but I was suprised by how tasteless it was. It wasn't bad at all, but there wasn't a lot of flavor. I don't think I'll eat there again but I'd like to try more of their beers. There was a beer I wanted but they didn't have it. I was not that impressed either by their draft beer selection/variety. I'll give it another try one day, hopefully on their terasse but it's not a priority.

What a great little Brewery! Such a needed space in this area. LOVE the children’s play area upstairs. I wish more places did something like this. This sort of thing is so valuable to the community and makes it really easy for my wife and I to come back soon with other friends who also have kids.

The beer is also really delicious, very friendly staff (unsure what the negative reviewers are taking about when it comes to this), and the food options are top notch.

Can’t wait to come back!
If you are a foodie avoid this place..
25$ for a bison burger that looks more like a happy meal, fries…? More like minced fries fried in used car oil for their color..
On the good side… a large selections of beers..
So come here fueled up in advanced.
(Sorry… missed pic of burger… ate it in one bite)

Edit: I had to change my review here. I understand things are expensive, but I used to go here regularly. My last time it was 13 dollars for a beer. Then the usual plus tip. This is insanity, even for Vancouver.

I unfortunately can't support this place at that price point. The board read 10 dollars, I guess it's 3 dollars in tax

They do have good beer, but I won't be going back

Great spot, friendly people, really good beer, they have 4 right now and all are home runs, they also have some guest taps to round out their line up. You can order food as well which is delivered hot, tacos, quesadillas etc

Great spot, very chill vibes. They have an upstairs if the immediate front area looks full.

Great Craft Beer! In fact the only place I've been able to find I can say that about in Vancouver. Environment is " "neighborhood" tap room all the way, beer are excellent (not over hopped like sooo many others)

Def same feel/reminiscent of the best Tap Rooms / Craft breweries out there. (... been to dozens all over North America, so have a somewhat qualified take on the matter)

Was really impressed by this place! Stopped in for a drink and snack before our reservation and was blown away! The beers on top are varied and unique. Ordering from the bar made our stay easy, and at our own pace. The Chips and Dip, while on the higher end of the price point, we're fantastic and definitely worth the money. I would recommend this spot to anyone, will be back for sure!

Great dynamic menu. Dishes are always interesting and well presented with intense flavors. Lots of beer choices too, of course.
