Marymount is the worst school I've ever been to the point where I want to leave ASAP. If I'm 1min late into the class, I get 45min of detention. Classmates suck (Except my friends of course), and French Class is hella hard.

Edit: My principal has punished me for expressing this and I'm black, but I'll keep my comment till the end of time
I’m gonna give my most honest and full opinion on this school, as a graduated student it took me a long time to fully come to terms with what had truly happened at this school. I will start off plain and simple and only cover the experiences I had gone though and the experiences of others that I was a witness to over the years. Firstly, the students made the experience absolutely horrendous, everyone in that school was unfriendly, fake and very bias towards individuals, to truly thrive in that school you must fit in their category of standards, either that being a popular kid or conform to their standards of what is deemed acceptable. Secondly making friends is impossible because everyone is too busy indulging in drama consistently, spreading rumours and harassing other students 24/7. I could barely get though my grade 12 year when I was attending that school due to massive amounts of bullying, unwelcomeness, and slander on my name, especially since I never went out of my way to do anything deliberately wrong to people and always minded my own business. At some points I contemplated self harm due to the actions of the students and the constant dread and environment taking place at this school. The only thing that made this school tolerable were the amazing support staff and teachers who in my personal opinions were more than willing to be supportive and helped me reach my greatest academic potential. Ms grieco, Ms Romano, Mrs texiera Tran I love every one of you with my full heart, without you I wouldn’t be where I am today within my academic success. This message isn’t to discourage anyone from attending the school, it’s a fair warning to everyone to be wise with who you befriend and be cautious with whom you decide to interact with, because students there aren’t all what they seem. Best of luck
I highly recommend Astrum Academy! Teachers are very supportive, experienced and knowledgeable.
The curriculum is unique and interesting.

I dread taking any form of public transit with kids from this school. They never line up for the train or the bus and they push their way through to the front. They really give this school a bad name, someone ought to teach them proper etiquette. Is it really asking too much for them to line up for the bus? But no just squeeze through and push adults out of the way.
5 Stars because the Principal John O'foro is amazing with these kids. i have lots of interaction with staff and am pleased with the school. safe and positive

in grades 7 and 8, I was a student here. however I got kicked out of the school. and for one simple reason: my mental health. royal west academy is the worst school out there: simply because THEY DONT CARE IF YOU STRUGGLE, all the care about is those high grades. the amount of homework I got at this school to complete was so overwhelming and I ended up loosing so much sleep to complete it and so many of the teachers were extremely rude, they didn't know how to teach, and they were extraordinarily strict. One time, I was having a visible panic attack during a presentation and the English teacher removed 20% of my grade because I couldn't present with a panic attack. like huh?? I kept getting EXTRA points deducted from my work because of my mental state. example: someone would get -1 for a spelling mistake. I would get -4 for a spelling mistake. and the team of guidance counsellors... they sucked. do not let them near children. I got kicked out from seeing my guidance counsellor because "I went there too much." you can't turn a mentally distressed child away like this. if they need help, they need it. ended up in the mental hospital more times than I'd like to admit thanks to this stupid school. if there's one message I give to the people reading this: don't even think about sending your child here if you care about them.
Terrible and poison inside to the core, not trustworthy.
I would like to tell the story of my son and warn everyone to be careful if you want to send your child to this school.

Somewhere at the end of May or at the beginning of June, I visited Austrum Academy to find out if they would agree to take my son to first grade.  The fact is that my son is autistic.  I explained that he has behavior problems, but otherwise he is a completely normal child, at least not withdrawn.  In general, the main two problems are behavior and nutrition.  They told me that they would gladly accept him and that I should not worry, because they have extensive experience working with different children and that everything would be fine.
The child was waiting for September, when he would go to a new school.  And then September came, we went to school and were surprised to discover that they categorically did not want to tell us how he was doing at school.  After the end of the school day, he was taken out onto the porch and all attempts to talk with the teacher and find out how he was doing were refused.  This is quite strange considering that the child is unusual and it is advisable to maintain communication between teachers and parents to help the autistic child adapt to the new school.
And so on October 23, we (his Mom and I) were invited to a conversation with the teachers and owners of the school.  They approached us with a request for help in solving the problem of bad behavior (surprise) of our son.  Which they decided to talk about only after they themselves could no longer cope.  They said that he would like me to try to bring him to school in the morning instead of his mother, since the presence of his father could have a positive effect on his behavior.  Of course, I agreed, especially since I had the next two days off.  Both the first and second days went well.  I noticed that my son is spoken to too much like he is a baby.  I decided to call and ask them not to talk to him like that, because it seemed to me that this way of talking irritates him and this could be the reason for his bad behavior.  To which I received the answer that they are professionals with many years of teaching experience and will not listen to my advice.  As a result of the fact that I was endlessly interrupted and not allowed to finish the thought that I was trying to convey to them, the conversation ended in a raised voice.  After which I decided to delegate all communication with the school staff to my wife, since I cannot calmly talk with people who constantly interrupt the interlocutor and let you know that they are not going to listen to your opinion.
The next day, my wife took my son to school and at the end of the day she was called to pick up her son and not bring him back.  Simply put, they kicked the child out of school as revenge for the inappropriate tone (in their opinion) of the parent when talking to them.  Of course, I was outraged and thought that it would be possible to complain about this educational institution to some municipal education regulatory body.  But as it turned out, private schools are not regulated by the state and, in fact, they do what they want.
I would love to give this school -5 stars, but alas, this is impossible.
Fortunately, after three weeks of being at home, we managed to find a school that he enjoys going to.
Our son graduated from here in 2021. In is a smaller school with a little bit more of a calm environment. They have a decent atmosphere for those who may have learning difficulties.
I went to this school for high school and I had such an amazing experience. The teachers and staff are very hands on and they care for their students deeply. I struggled frequently with math and science at my old high school but when I moved to this school I was able to improve my grades significantly. The lessons are taught in a way that is easy to grasp which then results in students success. A very kind and warm environment :)
Horrible school! Students here need to be sent to military school so they can learn how to behave in the real world or sent to jail!!!!! THEY NEED TO LEARN THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES FOR PHYSICALLY ASSAULTING PEOPLE!!!!! This school thinks that when something happens off of school property for example if your child gets physically assaulted they think they don’t have a responsibility to get involved. I think the school board needs to have this school and staff reassessed, maybe even shut down for good!!!! I think the news outlets need to be informed and this school gets exposed for their lack of accountability and responsibility to keep children safe. HORRIBLE SCHOOL !!!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE IF YOU WANT THEM TO BE SAFE!!!! DISGUSTING SCHOOL, DISGUSTING STAFF!!!!!
The favoritism between the parents and teacher is truly a joke, as I see this everyday. The parent that is favoured by the teacher, is followed up with the student of the parent also being favored. This has to stop! Also what's up with some of the teachers dressing the way they do. I think you need to focus more on teaching, than your choice in fashion.
No opportunities for Black or racialized students at this school.
Openly racist, homophobic, and pro-life teachers.
Multiple SA allegations by male teachers which a quick google search can confirm.
Unless your morals align, avoid sending your children here.

I was a student from 2013-2017 and know graduates from 2023 who indicate the same experiences. Nothing has changed.

i calculated the anxiety rate at this school for a science fair project. please do not send your kids to this school if you care about their mental health. however, the curriculum will be helpful for cegep.
Excellent school, who want their child to really learn deeply their subjects!
Small organizes classes , one to one time per child!
Can not get better results In such way of learning!
All the kids who graduated, got scholarships in universities!!!
So glad ,we have made that choice
,by trying this school!!!!
Highly recommend!!
Summer school is really fun! I've made a lot of friends and the teachers are amazing!!!
What a great school! Our daughter truly enjoyed all of the classes, especially math, chess and karate. The teachers created very safe atmosphere for the kids and the kids never wanted to miss a day of school. Our daughter fell in love with math here and is not afraid of higher levels of it, she even feels excited to advance in it. Thanking all of the teachers, as the staff and, of course Molly ❤
I'm in Grade 12 graduating from this school, and I have enjoyed it. The teachers offer great help with subjects, adapting to my or other students' needs. The course lessons are exploratory, the assignments are interesting, and various amounts of hands-on work and research have always kept me occupied. Overall I've had a social, educational, and helpful experience moving through and out of high school!
its good for education, its ok
If you want to learn MMA and kickboxing come to this school . No need to send your kids to a fighting gym where you can send them here and they will learn for free . Plus this school is the holy grail of fighting :) .
This school is like a second family to my son. Teachers are very knowledgeable and attentive. Classes are small, which allows teacher to give more individual attention to the kids. The level of education is very high. My son told me several times that going to Astrum has been life changing to him. Huge thanks to the school!
When Astrum first opened its doors, I assisted with the curriculum development, even teaching some of the English language and social studies classes for a short time. The directors of the school are 2 of the most generous and kind individuals I have met. They go out of their way to accommodate all the various learning styles, often spending more time and energy to provide excellent experiences for their students. I highly recommend Astrum if you are looking for your child to receive personalized and individual instruction in a cozy setting. I know the school will see great success in the coming years!
Best school ever recommend going here everyone sign your child up to go here and if you don’t I will appear in your house at 5:46 am in the morning while your trying to eat ritz crackers and nutella
Best teachers and principals I have ever had!
They are so kind and helpful, I mean I love this school.
If you go here, be aware that you may not get accepted into certain colleges or universities due to the sheer lack of subject-specific classes available. Alot of the promising-looking courses that they had prior to 2018 were removed due to "not enough people signing up," despite having numerous classes with 6 students in them.

TLDR: Not enough opportunities outside of business and STM (no E)

Quantum Academy was an unforgettable and rewarding experience for me! Teachers are super caring, the environment is conducive to helping me learn and the quality of education I received is very high and prepared me extremely well for university. I am greatly appreciative of all the guidance and education I got from my years at Quantum and recommend the school to everyone who wants to be successful in academia. With the help of Quantum I was able to get in and stay in my dream school, McGill University. Not only that, but the work ethic, guidance, skills and knowledge I learned from Quantum drove me to pursue a PhD in Physiology and teach lab courses at McGill. If I hadn’t come to Quantum for high school, I wouldn’t have become excited about science and discovered and pursued my passion for academia and teaching. Thank you a million times Quantum Academy!
It's not a bad school. Great Education. Amazing teachers.
Went to this school and got shot 26 times it totally happened back in 2013
Went here 8 yrs ago..cool teachers and opportunities but too lazy to actually educate you

Poor teachers poor class curriculum
I'm a Cedarbrae alum myself, class of 2021.

Mr.Milliard and Mr.Iacobucci are some of Cedarbrae's legends! They don't get enough love.

A late congrats to Mr.Iacobucci however for 30 years at Cedarbrae!
Very friendly staff and efficient
I was only here for 6 months when I was 15 years old but it was a life changing experience. A broad and diverse set of international students, inspiring professors in every subject and the right amount of studying and socialization.

Don’t doubt, apply!
I had so much fun at this school. This school taught me how to be more responsible growing up. I had a roller coaster of a time here. One change was the name of the school. It used to be Jean Vanier but it was changed to be named after the church. It was because of something was exposed of Jean Vanier doing something bad. There are many articles since I would recommend reading those rather from hearing from me. I had fun in gym, got to meet new people, make new friends and seeing my old classmates from elementary school. I also had so much fun cooking in hospitality. Religion taught me more about Jesus and what is ethical and not. It was fun going here. Thank you and Goodbye OLQW! I want to experience this again. I will never forget this experience. I will treasure this forever.👋👋

“Choose love always.”

I entered this school in grade 7 with hopes and dreams. I left with sleep deprivation, burnout and asbestos in my lungs.
☹️ speaking for many who attend school… School just ain’t it.
I went to the original Marymount b4
It switched in from St Luc in 84.
Even Then
It had Amazing Teachers!
1 of my Teachers?
Mr Scanlan who taught me English
He left and worked at Loyola High on Sherbrooke.
He taught Football
Then
Mr Kofe
Reason that I remember SO well?
Kids (as kids do)
Used TO stand outside the classroom door
And Yell

How do you like your Coffee?
I like My Coffee Crisp!

Back then
I think that's about AS Bad/Cruel
As
Bullying Went
There were Exceptions
But
There Always
But they'd Get Shut Down by Others

I would highly recommend Quantum. It is a great school, and the teachers are amazing and truly help enhance your knowledge. I can confidently say that I would not be a strong math student, or have the options to apply to some of the top university programs without having come here.
Yesterday my car which parked in the school's parking lot had been sprayed with paint-colour on the hood, windshield and roof. Obviously, it is intended. I don't know what happened in the parking yard that day. It was around 4:20pm when I found this situation and most cars parked there had gone. I drove to get a car wash immediately . Fortunately the paints are washable.

This school is very good. I'm currently going there right now and I can tell you from the perspective of a student there are many reasons to send your kid here why like it. First of all Royal West is a very progressive school and has students from everywhere. Royal West will except you for who ever you are. besides a lot of the comments here, I find the teachers to be very good and helpful to learning. they may be tough but it prepares you for the long run. this school will prepare you for university and life in all. the hard work and difficulty is manageable and if you are ever having trouble there are plenty of places you can go. although this school is a public school, it acts like a private school with its amazing facilities but it's still extremely affordable. The school has a very good sports program and many extra ciricular. French is pretty good but the teachers are strict. Lastly its easy to get to royal west from no matter where because there's a train right in front of the school. Overall this is an amazing school and I highly suggest it.
This school is really nice with lots of after school activities and large gyms with lots of equipment too. They rent out the school gym on weeknights for basketball and other sports. The change rooms are very big too. The display of the artwork and schoolwork from the students around the school are very impressive too. Teachers and staff are good too. There’s also a running track outside on the field.
Apurva made cedarbrae a great school. He was the best school president and will be sorely missed.

I would highly recommend Quantum Academy! they provide an environment that allows me to learn and study in a stress free environment while promoting affective studying habits. The teachers are excellent at making sure you understand what they are teaching as well as providing help when needed. Going to quantum was one of my best decisions and i promise you wont regret going!
I'm from india but this look very good ❤👌
Back in Nov 2013 I was there for the Grade 8 visit trip it was a great school but I choose to go to Father Leo J Austin because I choose to move to Whitby in the summer and they have better IEP teachers to help us with our school work.
School was a good experience here for me. Really enjoyed it.
I have a tall handsome friend who studies here. He has beautiful green hair. I love him so much personally.
Tahseen and Shawn are bad teachers! They teach me bad stuff.
My kid is the school complains almost daily about racism, bullying, religion teacher not teaching, on and on about kids doing drugs n over dose. Am frustrated n don't know what to do.., she feels I don't care about the problems,
but I sincerely do but I feel like if she move n find other problems in the other school or even same problemis she going to move again.? She is un grade 9. Am sooo frustrated.

I would definitely recommend this school to all students! Quantum academy has such a friendly, welcoming, family-like atmosphere with teachers that are caring, professional and knowledgeable. They provide individualized support and guidance for all their students. The students highly benefit from the small classrooms and the school provides curriculum for mathematics, english, sciences and social sciences. The teachers ensure that all of their students are stress-resistant and feel relaxed. It is 100% guaranteed that all students are accepted to their top university choices because I can confidently say that I have gotten accepted to a Bachelors of Science in Nursing program at York University! Overall, this school has an excellent quality of education with amazing teachers and 100% academic achievements from students!
Pretty good school. Great if you want to do AP. Not a lot of extra curriculars nor volunteer opportunities. Outside of AP classes, students are quite frightening to be around. Across from the school, there is a Tim Hortons where all the seniors smoke/vape.
bad social environment and ap program does not supply a higher level of education. if seeking an ap program high school, go to st teresa of liseaux, much better community and teachers.
I’m a new comer ,I went there to take some courses easy courses I met one who’s name is dallilo and he was kind of rude in a gentle way
As a summary he told me to try to find my way without returning back to them and as i had my high school from my home country and going to be 19 and told him that I need finish this courses he told me : yeah we don't want accept you for this courses as we are going to stuck with you go to a private school or you don't wanna pay?!!!
I didn't expect that kind of treatment from this school they just help the people they want to help and get rid of the other
Francis Libermann CHS is one of the best and safest high schools in Toronto! The school population is very diverse in ethnicity, culture, and skills/talents. I think Falcon leaders still need to work on building an inclusive school environment as I find that some people are still left out sometimes and not everyone’s opinions are always accepted or respected.

The school building does not have air conditioning because it's “broken”, which is a health risk for students during the hot summer days. During the winter months the school uses a heater, but the heater doesn’t work in some parts of the school. However, the air con and heater always work in the main office.

Educational experience varies greatly by academic level. Students who are in Academic/Enriched/Uni/STEM have stricter teachers, courses with higher standards, and a heavier workload. While students in the Applied/Open/College level have friendlier teachers, lower expectations, and less homework.

Most teachers assign too much homework to their students. Some teachers don’t teach at all or don't do so properly. Sometimes teachers get carried away and spend class time talking about irrelevant topics to the lesson, such as their own personal life stories and political views. If you ask questions to some teachers, they get mad or if they don’t know the answer they tell you to ask your classmates.

Aside from that, there are also good teachers at Libermann who are open-minded, have a great sense of humour, and understands students' needs for success.
The school is constantly under repair and there's mice and cockroaches everywhere, including in the kitchen.
From what people told me, Marymount is great. I know at least three people who went there. I'm afraid that this school might shut down in a few years because not that many students go there anymore. So the teachers are getting paid by international students who go there. We need to have more people who go there. more domestic students gotta go there. It's a public school which requires students to wear uniform. That's good because parents don't have to go on a tight budget for no reason. Just letting you know Google Maps.
I visited the school twice for sports and the school is very big and has nice interiors. The cafeteria area is large with 2 pianos and the school has a stereotypical high school vibe. The café has fresh food made by a great chef, she makes :pizzas, cookies, and bakes as well.
I cannot say enough good things about this school. Staff members are professional and caring, They truly have the best interests of the students at heart, and unlimited patience. The school offers a wide variety of enriching activities for the children, and is kept very clean.
Libermanns pillar collapsing was my Wall Maria 💔
Great school. Spent good times there. It was a very safe school and the teachers were incredible. I must confess though that I graduated in 1979! It appears things have changed. So much for assimilation.
This school was full of thugs and gang members when I attended. I switched to a Catholic high school and never looked back. Shame on you cedarbrae, you are a shameful dump.
The Cedarbrae Collegiate School is a disappointingly unsafe place for kids. Few days ago, my sister was hit and assaulted by five students at the school corridor at the hallway. She was punched on her face and hit with steel garbage band several time.

The Vice Principal, Michael Barnes, was there when this sad event took place. He didn't intervene to mitigate the situation or take any action against the culprits. On top of that, nobody bothered to call 911. I had to come to school and take my sister to hospital. I also called 911 to report the incident.

As a brother and family, this incident shocked us we are still unable to understand how come no action was taken against those five students. They were allowed to enter the school next day.
The school also has the footage of this incident.
I want concerned authorities to take this tragic incident into account and take strict action against those who tried to beat my sister to death.
I also want the school administration to explain their indifferent behavior on this incident.

I recently moved to Canada from Europe. I was a little worried at first, but the excellent teachers at Quantum Academy provided an outstanding education and experience. They made sure that I understood the material in all my classes and are always ready to answer my questions and clarify anything that I may have misunderstood. The students were also very friendly and I felt right at home. Could not have asked for a better high school!
This is Sunman The Great, giving this piteous school a decent rating. Once this school makes me it's headmaster, I shall give it 5 STARS!

*Update: After thoughtful consideration, I'm going to demote this SCHOOL to a rating of 2 stars for poor conduct and the inability to make me Headmaster. Yuck!*

*Update: School has failed.
Pocock is the best school I’ve been too!
Wall art at the school. Many more drawings inside the theatre. Drawings and baked clay model of Streetsville is very unique.
One of the great high schools. I learned a lot had some good experiences. Some bad. Made friends that were family and had some people hate me and some diss like me part of growing up. I learnt most of my subjects very well. I learned about myself and created my Mr. blue persona that's on YouTube at this school. This school is amazing. I was one of the slow kids that used humor to deflect my inner struggles and not once did any kid or teacher make fun of me for it. They helped .and when I was in the wrong they still helped me.Many great experiences at this school. I recommend it no matter where you stand on life you will find yourself.
It's a Catholic School for secondary education grades 9-12. It offers unique extra curricular activities such as drama classes and musical performances, supports creative students. Other academic courses are delivered at a very high level. Most convenient thing ever, all students wear uniform.
Great school, with even better teachers. I attended Quantum in my last year of high school, and thanks to them I have been accepted to a great university program. They heled me understand the curriculum, as well as teaching me the skills I need to succeed.
Not really organized for students
I felt that this school, despite some stellar and caring teachers, did not place any emphasis on its students' mental health, instead resorting to empty and surface-level methods that seem more like attempts to boost its own reputation than to genuinely help. The guidance counselors who I encountered were dismissive and gaslit students, while the school had ridiculous standards and rules. As a top student, I was once almost suspended for accidentally missing 2 detentions, given for forgetting to hand in a slip which had to be signed because I had shown up late due to a dentist appointment. As a final point, the students there were simply privileged bullies who were not fun to be around. I would say that the environment there was the root of a long depression on my part.

However, I did receive a good education at this school.
Worst administration ever got expelled for not doing my. Homework

The school principal is excellent ,almost the teachers are expert but a few of those aren't good enough ,
The teachers there are amazing willing to help you all the time. The school is also an environment where bullying is really low due to the kindness of every student there.

I went to this place when I was a kid, kind of sad that it is a private school now but times change. When I went here in the early 70s some things I used to enjoy (maybe all gone now). They used to have a wonderful theater with a balcony. they showed movies on occasion, had assembles. The ground floor used to have trade skills classes, Home ED (remember making scotch eggs), drafting (remember drafting), wood work I still have a scissor bird I made. We had to walk pretty far to get to Montreal West High School (which is was called) and snow in Montreal !!! The classes used to be heated by water :)
Pretty decent. Education is fine. Don't listen to the other people who review this school in a bad way, they just aren't successful in this school that's why.

Definitely one of the best schools I have went to. A pleasure to have been given the chance to learn from the best teachers in Ontario; and would recommend anyone to visit the school.
