We stopped by for dinner on a Saturday evening. Got seated immediately. Medhu vada and cauliflower 65 were good starters. Onion tomato chilli uthapam was tasty. So were gun powder dosas. It comes with masala, we requested the dosas without it; price was same though. Veg kothu paratta was not tasty. Mango lassi , falooda drinks and coffee were good. They seem under staffed. The lady serving us seemed overwhelmed and tired. We had a rather long wait for our food. There is not much of an ambience; very basic and old fashioned interiors.
The queue is a joke here. The staff don't pay any attention to it. If you have a loud voice, you'll be served first, or you need to know an employee to get priority.
An employee even advised me to ignore the queue and shout out my order to get served.
I've never had this kind of experience anywhere else, and I'll be avoiding this place in the future.

Good and variety of South Indian food. Highly recommend to try it. Monday offer $5 for 10 dosas, Its the best deal you will get in GTA.

It was our first time trying this place and we were thankful we did. It was delicious. Not sure what we had. Just pointed to something on the menu. The desert was not for us but was thankful we tried it.
We heard good things about this place and so we went here to try the samosa and the bean based poutine.
Once I got the food the samosa was so cold I don't get why, the poutine was okay different but okay I wouldn't mind trying it again.

I am a disabled person. It's little far from where I live. I visited once to just try the vegetarian food. Since then I am a regular to this place.Fresh food everyday and good quality & tasty. Good price and generous portion with loving service. What els you need? Are you craving for vegetarian food Datta the place to visit. Just go there once I guarantee you will be a regular just like me.
I am utterly disappointed with Kerala Kitchen in Scarborough. This is not the first time they've messed up my takeout order. Despite clearly stating my order for 5 parathas and 4 chicken puffs, I received only 1 chicken puff. This negligence is unacceptable, especially when it's a recurring issue. It's incredibly frustrating to pay for items that never make it into my order. I urge others to be cautious when placing phone orders with this restaurant, as they seem incapable of fulfilling them accurately. Save yourself the hassle.

You will have to wait a lot to get the food. The food isn't even good. The servers are annoyed at you for no reason. One left in minutes we arrived. He took the order and the lady brought the food after a long time. The food was not tasty at all. We had chicken tandoori which was not cooked properly with masala and paratha and roti. I also had masala tea. It was alright. They have good parking and a good location. I don't think I will ever set foot in this restaurant ever again. The server won't clean the tables when people leaves. I wonder what the kitchen look like.
One of the most disgusting food that I ever had in my life. The food was stale as if it was kept in the fridge for many days and just heated up and given to us. Totally worthless and the chutney and sambar was so bad that I could not even eat it. Very bad

I had the Ghee Roast Masala Dosa. Harish prepared a fresh and yummy dosa. It was very crisp and had the right amount of spice. Will definitely be stopping by for a quick bite again.

The spring rolls are our go to, anytime we have a get together we b line it for the rolls, would be curious to try some of their other fares.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at this South Indian food joint in Southdown Mall, Mississauga. While the mall itself may not be in the best shape, this small restaurant located at the food court truly stood out. The South Indian cuisine was incredibly tasty, leaving me thoroughly impressed. What really set this place apart was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly kind and respectful to the point where they didn't even expect a tip; I had to insist on giving one. Unlike many other restaurants that automatically add a 20% tip, here, it's entirely at your discretion, which is a refreshing change.
While the ambiance may not be its strong suit, the delightful food and the warmth of the staff more than make up for it. It was a memorable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious South Indian cuisine served with genuine kindness.

Today, Happened to hop in here; as got a rush for Dosa& pizza for kids as well. Amazing experience indeed as per my review.

This place is in the food court of the mall. Ample place to sit.

Service was horrible. We had 4 guests. Everyone ordered dosas and one of our guests was served food 10 min earlier. We all were watching him eat. Never again will we visit this location. Dosas had raw onions on it.

Be weary if your are not Tamil they will make up the prices as they go along. Told me the Sambal was 1.50 but I know my neighbor pays a dollar. Told me $3.00 per drumstick however I know my neighbor gets a full leg quarter for $2.50. Tried to sell me a Swiss chalet small gravy container of curry for 7.50. Food was good but left feeling like I was getting played.
Tried this place a few times for take out.. good variety of both vegetarian and non-veg south Indian dishes.. the recent one was veg kothu.. the spicy level was not asked when ordered and the one we got was spicier than normal. Also the portion size is lesser for the price.
Such a cute little spot off McLaren. Delicious food. The medhu vada was incredibly crispy and soft. The owners are so sweet and helpful. They mentioned they were going to try to stay open this winter. I hope they do stay open this winter so we can come more often.
This is the best restaurant in Kitchener. All of their food is amazing in taste and quality. Biryani is awesome. Most importantly their customer service is the best. The lady at the pay area is very kind and hard working. She is the best. They also have a water dispenser unlike other restaurants who charge for just water. One of my favourite restaurants for fulfilling my cravings for South Indian food. Try Masala Ghee roast for perfect balance between taste and quantity.
I had to sit next to dumpster and have my food. The sambhar I was served was burnt . I found hygiene was a major issue. Could not find the manager or owner in the store. The place definitely needs to overhaul. I won’t be returning to this establishment.

There’s something not right with this place. It used to be really good minus the language barrier. Tried ordering online via ritual. They never accepted the order and it timed out. So I went to get masala dosa, they don’t sell that anymore. The guy at the counter was annoyed I even asked for something that was on the menu. The $1 sambol is suddenly 1/10th the portion. Literally less than a table spoon full. See the picture. I got cramps after eating the food.
One of the best restaurants in all of Ottawa! Excellent south Indian and Sri Lankan resto with some modern touches; the cooks here are stellar. In particular, the sampler platter, dosa and shrimp dish were scrumptious 😋

Probably the best place to eat South Indian food. I ordered chilli cheese onion dosa, it was great in taste. The sambhar was extremely nice. I’m glad that I took extra sambhar. The pure vegetarian menu, amazing taste, great service.
Each time we go to the area we buy Mothakam in here, one of the best in the GTA, fried Mothakam also Very good.

I had the samosas this evening. They were made fresh while I waited. Definitely worth the wait. Easily the best I’ve had in a long time. The owner was extremely pleasant. Was given an extra tamarind, which is also amazing. Definitely would recommend to anyone.
Incredibly friendly service and great food. I've been here twice so far and have not been disappointed. The samosas were freshly fried and not at all greasy. The onion uttapam was a great vehicle for the two sauces it came with, and the side of lentil stew was incredibly flavourful and savoury. They make a delicious mango lassi as well. This is a nice south indian restaurant situated in Scarborough.. we ordered some onion pakoda, pepper egg fry and uttappams.. sambar chutney were standard. Onion pakoda was good nice and crispy tasty. It paired well with Madras coffee (I prefer coffee to tea).

Tried the Mysore masala dosa! I'd probably go less spicy the next time, but darned if I ate the whole thing. Sambar was delicious, chutneys were delightful.
Food was delicious! And the server Sahil was so sweet and fast with service. We got our utensils and waters immediately after being seated, and were even expedited an appetizer earlier than expected. Cute little spot, I really appreciate the art they have up on the walls. It’s a little run down, but for the food, service, and maybe a little bit of privacy and intimacy w your introverted mate, this spot is perfect. Oh and they checked if the food was dairy free for me beforehand which I really appreciated. (Worth the price it don’t break the bank btw! A dosa is like $10)
Recently dined at this place and unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The prices seemed a bit high for the quality of the food served and the taste was disappointing. The service was decent though. They use recycled plates, which I didn't find appealing.

I got dosas for my family. They were very tasty. The place was very clean and customer service was great. Definitely value for money! My order was customized (not spicy) and they did a great job to accommodate that. Whenever I would want a dosa, I would definitely go again.
Homely experience at this authentic dosa place with a variety of doses avaliable on the menu. Personal touch by Chef Yunus by offering to remake the dosa to match your taste buds was truely special.

Very beautiful and traditionally decorated South Indian restaurant. We liked it as soon as we entered the restaurant. Very neat and clean including washrooms. We ordered dosas, Nan, mutton curry, chicken 65. All foods are tasty. Dosa , chicken 75 and Nan are crispy. Service was great. Food price is reasonable. There are free parking in front of this restaurant including accessible parking. Highly recommend to try this restaurant.

We love the experience. The food is absolutely delicious, but what makes everything awesome is the service. The server understood we were not very good with spicy food and helped us order delicious food. Tony, the juice man, has the best cocktails and mocktails. Just tell him what you like and trust, he will come with something awesome. To finish with the Golden Key, ask Tony for his homemade popsicle. You won't regret it.

Honestly, it was not up-to the mark. There are better South Indian restaurants compare to this. We ordered Veg Kothu roti (I’ve tasted really good Kothu roti but this one was tasteless) Mysore Masala Dosa (Safe bet) Kara Masala Dosa (Extra spicy, I liked mine crispy but my friend ordered the same Dosa & his was just soggy one, also we requested to give the potatoe filing separately in a bowl but they denied) Onion tomato chilli utthappam was not cooked properly) Idli sambhar (didn’t have any taste) The sambhar and it’s quantity was horrible. I would definitely recommend other restaurants over this for South Indian food.
Best Authentic Sri Lankan restaurant in Ottawa. When we went there I saw lot of other nationals also enjoying the Authentic Sri Lankan food. We had a great time there, Their beef roast was very tasty. I really enjoyed it. Best customer service as well. If you are around Ottawa, this must be a have to visit place for dinner. And lastly, you have to definitely try their hibiscus juice.
I went there with my two foriegn friends and we ordered mutton string hopper kottu, beef kottu roti, parata with pol sambal, mango jelly and coconut milk drink, Sri Lankan tea and Mango juice. Service time is okay and portion size is good for a person. Authentic Sri Lankan flavours were there. Kottu were savoury and spicy. My friends enjoyed it well. Drinks also had unique flavours. If you are going there better to have a reservation as it can be flooded with customers sometimes.
Dinner at Ceylonta was a great experience! The servers are friendly, the atmosphere is pretty quiet, and overall the food was good! For two of us to eat, it cost us around $80 which might not be what everyone is looking to spend but we did get a drink, an appetizer, and then the Thali and Palandi. We left feeling full and will be coming back, that’s for sure!
I'm being kind while giving away 4 stars to this restaurant, and that's only and only due to the fact that the food was extra spicy, the way we like it. We asked for the food to be made extra spicy and they delivered. Otherwise everything else was going against this restaurant. We were the only ones in the whole restaurant during their lunch service and the food still took over 40 mins to reach our table. Imagine the wait time of it gets busy. The atmosphere is very basic with ventilation being an issue. Go for the food, not for the atmosphere.

Loved the authentic Dosa and Idlis that they serve. Portion size is amazing for the price. Kudos to the Chef and the Service Team.

Very nice Indian varieties and close to Deer Lake park. Have enough free parking whenever I visit. The waiting time for the dishes is a little longer.
100% tastes like we have it in Chennai. Loved the food and hospitality. Though the prices are on the higher side, it’s ok for once in a while to indulge for local tasting food. Briyani was awesome and so was chicken 65.
Went to this restaurant for first time as wanted to have rassam, and the rassam was absolutely authentic and flavourful. Ordered Veg and non-veg thalis. The biryani in veg thali was just rice without any veggies in it (did not like that). The chicken curry was delicious. The gulab jamun was yummy too. Did not like the mango lassi and filter coffee (I think the milk was burnt) did not have more than a sip. All in all rassam, Chicken curry and gulab jamun were awesome. Would go again but only to have rassam.

The portions were very generous too. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with authentic Chettinad dining experience.

Went for a mother's day dinner but the food and service were not upto the mark.
Most of the items we wanted to order were made unavailable and the food that we ordered was not good in comparison to the other days we visited here.
I might think twice before visiting this restaurant now as their quality varies at different days which is something not expected from a good restaurant.

Amazing South Indian style food! Authentic flavours, nice ambience and friendly service.
There are so many great things to order here, but I recommend the Chicken 65 anyway (or the Cauliflower 65 for vegetarian option). The dosas are also great too. There are also North Indian curries available too. I only wish the curry portions weren’t so small. Overall, still a very good value.

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for the past 10 years and it has always been an excellent place for South Indian food.

this place is an absolute MUST go to. It is truly one of the best cuisines I've ever had. The hibiscus ginger drink was refreshing and delicious. We asked the chef to make us anything/to surprise us and he could not have done a better job. The flavour in every bite was spectacular.

Good spot for authentic and fresh. Service was good aswell. The Pomfret fish was really good. I'd probably request the owner here to get rid of Styrofoam containers as its not good for hot food. But other than that food and service was on point.
Tasty food, huge variety of dishes on the menu. Best Dossa’s in the city. Service used to be a problem but now the service was great. Our server was courteous efficient and friendly.
We have ordered Ghee roast masala dosa, spinach dosa and mendu vada. The service was very poor the food was cold and tasteless. Never had tasted such awful sambhar till now. On top of it had to wait for so long on a regular day which made it even worse. If there was a half star or zero rating option would have give that.
"Divine". This is not a place to feed your stomach but to feed your soul. My friend from Hyderabad suggested me this place and i will be forever grateful to him. It was raining today, i was eating the masala dosa and at one point it felt like I'm back in India eating dosa, it was like a portal to India opened for me for those 15 minutes. I loved the place and i highly recommend this place for dosa lovers. I got a masala dosa with 2 vadas only for 13 dollars which included taxes. I loved the experience!!!!!

Rice in biryani was not long grain and was breaking. Appearance and texture lacks as result but definitely a unique taste and flavourful. I can tell this was made some time ago and reheated by texture or meat. Not a bad thing at this price point.
Malabar chicken was super oily and separates but has a bold taste. Really good I would recommend it. Reminds me of how my grandma use to make a curry her rendition of it.
Both dishes weren’t piping hot. Seems like they were cooked ahead and reheated. My only complaint of an otherwise great meal at $21 for two dishes. Can’t beat that price point.

I recently ordered Banana leaf chicken and his is how they pack the all the dishes mixed together. I was barely even able to touch it. Chicken, fish all smelled bad. After I raised the complaint restaurant manager started shouting this is how we pack.

I had high expectations from this place. At first my experience was very bad so I gave it another try and it was little better.I even gave it a third try but my thoughts about it hasn't change. I guess now is the perfect time to review this place.
First visit : We ordered Veg korma and Paratha. It was perfect because they took our order quickly and boom we get our order after 45mins but they promised it would be ready in 20. I still wanted to give this place another try since they were short staffed and service was not great.
Second visit : We ordered Mysore Dosa, Mysore Masala dosa, Masala Dosa, Plain Dosa and Fish fry.
I have to give it to them that the food was good and tasty. But what was familiar was the wait time. It took a long time to get our food.
Third visit : We got everything above, as well as chicken curry, fish fry and this time we said we will come after 45mins. The owner said come after 1hr 30mins. I agreed but asked to make sure it will be done by then. Any guesses when did we got our food? 2 hours!
This time they were fully staffed and had no reason for the wait.
The owner said we make everything fresh. Does that justify 2 hours wait time? NO.
I am giving them 3 star purely on food taste. Every time I ordered, the food was good, but the experience of ordering and waiting wasn't.

All I can suggest is to please make sure you guys have enough staff and if you are giving a certain time, abide by it.

Today I went to this place for trying something different food. We ordered two different dosas masala dosa and chese dosa. The food was too good both dosas are tasty and i like masla dosa more tasty. Recommend to everyone for trying something south indian food, even non- veg available. Thanks chef for making good food.

Quality went down hill, mutton roles, fish patty, mutton curry and kool very blend and taste was not up to par with little to no meat.

Wanted to give 3.5 star, but unfortunately that's not an option. As a regular south Indian food consumer and having tried most of the Dosa places in Toronto, this is not a place that I would recommend for a 'must visit'. The place is not bad and got lot of areas to improve. They have the potential!

We tried mango Lassi and sweet Lassi, they are good.
We also had Masala Onion Dosa and Rava Onion Dosa. They are good as well.

Edit: Reducing it to 1-star. Gave this place a second chance and ordered delivery and the food was even worse than what I tasted in the opening week. Dosa filling is inedible and the way they packed Dosa left with cold garbage that I had to throw. Items were missing and the ones that they sent were either stale or terrible tasting. Never going back to this place.

Last week, I had been craving some south Indian food since it's been a while since I've had it. Luckily to my surprise, I found Dosa Eatery was the perfect place to satisfy my cravings! As seen in its name Dosa eatery offers an assortment of different Dosa types and other south Indian dishes such as uthappam and vada. I ended up ordering their Masala Dosa and their Vada and boy did it remind me of my mum's cooking! Their masala dosa was crunchy, flavourful, yet somewhat tangy all at the same time! On the other hand, their plain vada was absolutely delicious too and was served with sambar, coconut chutney and two other chutneys. Overall the quality and taste of the food were quite good and their pricing is reasonable too, definitely give Dosa Eatery a shot if you've been looking to try out some South Indian food! It's a must-go for all dosa lovers!

I really do not know what to say about the food. Bland, no taste at all. Sambhar wasn’t sambhar it was more like water with lentils with no taste. We were so exited to eat the South Indian breakfast after a long time but the whole excitement was over after the 1st bite. We finished the food somehow because we didn’t wanted to waste the food. Do not recommend this place nor I am returning back. It wasn’t a worth experience 0/10.
Good for dosa hunters they have variety of dosas to brunch upon, food is good , the place is clean, but just stay away from the washroom it was filthy. Hostess was kind and helpful. Price is fair enough.
