My husband and I came here on a whim and we were very pleased with the atmosphere. It's a chain restaurant, so the general atmosphere is the same as others, but the staff were all very friendly and made the experience that much more enjoyable. Cindy and Leo were great. Food was delicious and the restaurant was clean. We will definitely go back.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Mandarin Restaurant, and I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service provided by Fae and Amanda. From the moment we were seated, both were attentive, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic, ensuring our dining experience was delightful. Fae recommended dishes that turned out to be exquisite—her knowledge of the menu and her recommendations were spot-on! Meanwhile, Amanda's attention to detail made us feel truly special; she anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. The atmosphere of the restaurant was vibrant, yet both Fae and Amanda managed to make our experience feel intimate and personalized. I left The Mandarin feeling completely satisfied and cared for, thanks to their remarkable service. I can't recommend them enough and look forward to my next visit!
Amazing experience. Crab meat soup prawn fried rice and Mutton Biriyani to die for. Friendly and helpful team. Very welcoming atmosphere. Great delicious meal. Absolutely recommended.
Noodles with bean sprouts and soy sauce really good here as well as the Hong Kong style Lobster. I know it sounds cliche about the noodles but try them trust me it's simple but somehow so good to me it's comfort food.

Extremely lucky to have found this hidden gem in the south shore, the most authentic and mouthwatering curries and amazingly crisp and moist naan breads, specially the garlic naan. It’s a must go, so flavourful and fresh. A blessing for the south shore.

Unfortunately it seems that the owner has changed. The food was not like it used to be. The Aloo Ghobi has changed to a saucy, tomato version as opposed to the dry (no tomato) version. The potatoes were undercooked. The Saag was not very tasty or spicy. This used to be my favourite indian food on the south shore, but i will unfortunately not be back.
They used different noodles for the Pad Thai and the beef is not real beef. It was absolutely horrendous. Couldn't finish it. Waste of money.
Best Anjappar outside of Chennai. Writing this review in the middle of our dinner. I’m from Seattle . Driving by here for a weekend getaway from Michigan and decided to stop by. I’ve tried the Anjappar in Seattle and Dallas . This by far exceeds every Anjappar in the USA in terms of service and quality of food
Wonderful option for people with gluten allergies or vegans. Or both. Delicious breakfast bagels and fantastic Indian food. And best? Everyone I've asked has said they have the best chai in town.

This is a nice spot to go to in downtown when you have some downtown. Very spacious. I love that they have a lot of wall outlets so you can do some work/studying and charge your phone. I normally get one of the chai drinks but this time I opted for a hot chocolate and it was still pretty good.
They had live karaoke happening at 7:30 pm which made it impossible to have a conversation. Lemon chicken had hair on it. Servers were pretty nonchalant and unapologetic about it all.
The server was really nice and super friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly. I ordered Cantonese Chow Mein and I hate when it’s dry but this was made to perfection. Also had beef and broccoli and it was so tender and juicy! Great service, amazing food. First time there won’t be my last! Found a new Chinese food place! Yay!
I recently had a wonderful dining experience at Mandarin restaurant. Gary, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure our visit was excellent. His attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction were truly impressive. Our waitress, Suky, was incredibly polite and kind, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout our meal. The service was exceptional, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend Mandarin restaurant for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience with exceptional service.
We ordered a variety of dishes including a Non-veg Platter, Chili Chicken, Veg Biryani, Veg momos, and bread. The Non-Veg platter comprised Prawns, Tandoori chicken, Malai Chicken, and Lamb kebabs. While the Prawns and Malai chicken were satisfactory, the lamb kebabs and tandoori chicken were extremely disappointing, possibly the worst I've ever had. I'm not exaggerating when I say this.

I returned the order, and after a 20-minute wait, they brought the platter again, which unfortunately only made it worse. I ended up eating only the prawns and malai chicken, leaving the kebabs and packing the tandoori chicken, which I later threw away.

On the other hand, the Veg Biryani and Momos were enjoyable. However, the sauce that came with the momos was not up to the mark.

Although the Chili chicken was edible, the chicken pieces were not tender. I've had better chili chicken at several places in Calgary.

Overall, I left as an unsatisfied customer with an upset stomach and have decided not to visit again.

Visited with my family and enjoyed well prepared and served North Indian Food. Loved Shahi Paneer, Vegetables Biryani, Methi Mutter Malai, Naan and other items. I have been to many places in Calgary and this is the only place where I foundI good and tasty North Indian Food.
I recently dined at one of the best biriyani spots in town, and it was fantastic! The manager and chef were friendly, and the biriyani was bursting with authentic flavors. I highly recommend this place for anyone living in downtown.
Just ordered some take out from Sunshine. The owner was very friendly gave us some free bottled water and some mandarins. I got Mapo Tofu and as a vegetarian I was so glad it didn’t have pork in it. It was delicious hot and fresh. We will be back.
Been going to green chilli from the 2000s since they opened their first take out location. The 17 Ave location is my favorite neighborhood kitchen. The owners and chef are all amazing, friendly, great service and great food. 💯 Recommend.

Truly Lovely flowers! Scenery made me so so happy! I ate so much food perhaps I may explode! Service was amazing the towels were so warm and smell like lemons. 5 stars of course! Food tastes amazing and my waiter was absolutely splendid! I enjoyed this with all my heart and it made my soul so happy! I hope you all have the best day of your lives here and hope you become the biggest store ever because I loved it here!

Extremely disappointing food. Ordered the Dinner for 2 and the quality is terrible. The Ginger Beef has barely any beef and is 99% deep fried batter. The sweet and sour chicken was rock hard and dry, and again, mostly batter. Won ton soup is SO SALTY to the point that we couldn’t finish it. Would not order from here again.
In town skiing and found a great place for delivery! The man in the phone was very good at his job getting all the details for delivery, taking my order clearly and repeated it back to me for accuracy 🎯 food arrived in 30 mins, driver got the front desk to call up to us and they sent him up the locked elevator right to our door. A+. (Dominos made us meet them in the lobby) Food was tasty, plentiful and still worm. Exactly as we expect for some good old American Chinese food in a hotel! Crushed it all, 4 dishes for 4 adults worked perfect for us and they even included plates and cutlery ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Incredible restaurant with high quality Chinese dishes, including Peking duck and roasted pork. The dim sum here is decent

The service is good; the staff are fast and friendly, but they can also be funny

It takes me almost 2 hours to drive here but I still ate here with my family at least 20 times and if not, then more. I 100% recommend eating here. It's worth every penny

Here's what we got today:
1. Seafood soup
2. Steamed chicken
3. Roast duck skin in thin bread wrap
4. Rock salt shrimp
5. Roast duck diced in cabbage wrap
6. Tofu dessert
The most disgusting Thai express I've eaten from. It was an order from Uber. Hair in the food, meat was all fat. I've double checked cause I couldn't believe it was from there. Plate was gigantic but a dog wouldnt eat it.
Darn tasty Chinese Food!

I quite enjoyed the ginger beef, beef w broccoli, calamari, fat noodles, dumplings. I was surprised by how much I also enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken, and fried rice - not things I usually go for.
The pros: We came in around 12:30 PM and were seated right away. We got tea and food on our table within two minutes. Close to Pearson Airport, if you have a long layover and want to get out for some dim sum nearby.

The cons: Half the food came out cold or just warm, even the dishes we specially ordered. Nothing was especially tasty. The green beans would have been good if they were served hot. Very expensive ($136) and tip was automatically added to our table of 4.

My boyfreind and I came to Mandarine Buffet at Newmarket and the food was exception, our server Xavier was kind and they refilled our waters often. The atmosphere was clean and there was a large selection for both hot foods and desserts. We left with your bellies full :)

This is such a chill and accessible restaurant. Their chai drinks are phenomenal, and the food is very flavourful. There's lots to choose from, too, including vegan options.
I order this for my wife and daughter tonight and this was the first time I've ever tried Butter chicken. They love it so I decided to order it, It was amazing I cut the chicken with a spoon because it was so tender. The nann bread was so good.

If you are looking for a place with amazing flavors (Which I've never eaten this food before) recommend. Happy Valentine's to you all :)
Got to say. The last few times i ordered from there the food has been great! I order both delivery and takeout. Each time the flavours were on point and they loaded the dishes with protein. I usually get pad thai or general thai. Keep up the good work!
One of the best South Indian restaurants with two branches in Brampton and Mississauga. Have always had a very good experience at this restaurant. Very neatly maintained, hygienic place with courteous service by the staff. Like all the dishes here, be it vegetarian or non-vegetarian. Personally love the biriyani and chicken appetizers, especially chicken pepper and lollypop. The place can be crowded at times, and have to wait for the table. Take away is available too, it's good to order over the phone and it pickup or order via food apps. South Indian dishes like dosa, idli, vada are also available, along with roti, naan and variety of curries.
Our experience at Mandarin is always great. The staff at all locations are amazing and the ones at Newmarket are no different. They keep their standards high across the board. Frank and Xavier were great servers and looked after us really well. Will definitely come back!
First class Chettinad food.

I ordered a number of dishes here. Chicken 65. Biriyani. Crab rasam soup. Mutton pepper fry. All were authentic.

This, or any Anjappar location, is a must visit if you want to try next level spicy food.

The crab soup itself would make you sweat after three spoonfulls.
The server was extremely professional.

Update: Tried masala dosa. Epic
We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive, Sudarsha is a great staff in Brampton. Highly recommend for a great dining experience.
Loved the Saturday special bun parotta, vanjara fish curry, prawn masala, naatu kozhi briyani, rasam, cheese dosa, and masala tea at the end with my team! Definitely a go back and highly recommend for atmosphere, food choices, food quality, cleanliness, and timely service :)
I thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The Dosa deserves a solid 5⭐️, incredibly tasty. The Thali was good too, earning 4⭐️. The spice level was just right, making it a delightful experience. The restaurant is clean, but the entrance could use some attention – there was noticeable dirt on the light outside. Despite that, I'll definitely return for the exceptional Dosas!
Always served quickly and the food is always delicious my favourite is the Chicken Pad See Ew
Greatest attitude when they served me. It put a smile on my face.
Honestly reading the reviews I was sceptical and people were right. We came here specifically to try the Lunch Dim Sum as they still had the carts that went around and honestly it was a big mistake. First off the place is WAY too expensive for the quality of food they offer. We spent almost $400 for a group of 6 for Dim Sum which is ridiculous and a complete rip off. All the food on the carts was cold and below average at best. We even ordered a few made to order dishes and were completely disappointed. I’ve been to many Chinese Style Restaurants in the city and this was by far the worst one I’ve been too yet. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but for the quality of food we got versus what we paid made absolutely no sense at all. Everything was pretty heavily fried and even worse in what seemed very old oil. They automatically add a tip so be very careful but I would totally stay away from this place as it’s a complete rip off. Don’t be fooled by my pics as everything tasted way worse that it looks especially with everything being cold just sitting on the carts. Do yourself a favour and find another restaurant.

We’ve ordered regularly in the past until they left something in the noodles that made my son choke and they didn’t seem to care. Few years ago. My brother in law ordered from here. Quality of food was garbage. Definitely not all was fresh. Major disappointment.

I tried Remedy's Kashmiri tea. While the taste was good, it was not the authentic and traditional Kashmiri tea, which I was expecting. It was more of a chai latte type flavour. Moreover, considering the cost, I found the quantity was not enough.

The 2 Chai and 4 Samosas deal is great. The Chai’s were even a bit too big.
Atmosphere wise the place is a bit outdated and saw better times. Still worth for a quick stop.

Nice place for desi milk teas and wraps. It used to be really good a couple of years ago, the taste this time wasn’t as authentic. Really like the masala tea and Kashmiri tea was also nice.
Went here with my family and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a restaurant. Reading other reviews I thought that the restaurant was having a bad day but it was worse than I thought. Upon ordering shrimp dumplings, the shrimp came completely raw and was still gray, after that, we ordered another fried shrimp dish and the shrimp inside was completely raw as well. My brothers mouth started bleeding as he bit too hard on one of the dishes, and the chopstick we used snapped in half and flung. There are some good dishes such as the crab claw (when it doesn’t come raw) and the seafood fried rice. The place brings dishes around in carts so there is little to no wait time for the food, and there’s no wait time upon entering.

1st time ever having this food.

The ease of ordering online 5/5
I asked for lemon slices as a note and they added them 5/5
Delivered to my door so appreciated 5/5

The food however was mid as my 13 yr old described it.

We got 3 lunch specials wish I got one with noodles because the rice wasn't nice at all. The yellow color before I tasted it told me it wasn't gonna be to my liking. Again this is based on my taste buds. Just gave me more curry rice vibes then fried rice vibes.

Everything else was good enough. Also ordered food for dinner it all looks really good, got thick noodles for dinner.

I recommend them.
The lunch special is a really good price and good portion of food.

The hot and spicy shrimp are really good just alil too much batter but still really good.

Only thing I wouldn't recommend is the chicken fried rice, but mixing it with the meat and adding plum sauce helps.

Not gonna butcher this place with my comment as it was my first time and tried two different soups only and would give it another chance abd will definitely change my review if the food is better. For the soup, I tried hot & sour and House special wonton special but they were not good at all as the hot and sour was way too sour that I had to leave it after a few spoons, wonton soup was worst than the other and had to throw it as it didn't taste fresh at all. Bear in mind that this place is only a take out and there's no dine-in
We ordered the dinner for 2 combo. Chicken fried rice had no chicken in it, the chicken balls and egg rolls are about 85% dough with barely any chicken in the balls or filling in the egg rolls. Was all kind of bland tasting as well unless it was smothered in sauce. Will not order again.
Food is tasty and atmosphere also good. Staffs are very friendly.

Delivery said "ASAP (up to 75 minutes)" It actually took 103 minutes (yes, an hour and 43 minutes), which is ridiculous. When I phoned the restaurant after 85 minutes, all they had to say was "thank you for your patience;" I don't think it had even left the restaurant yet. The food was good, but not worth the wait.

We ordered 2 combos 15.95 each and cashier charged $38.35, didn't gave any receipt.
Packing was good we got extra cutlery n napkins food was hot too.
Now comes to food the potions were big, chicken was tender , but there wasn't flavour in food tho especially fried rice.
The ginger beef and sweet and sour pork had nearly no sauce and we're hard and dry, the chicken fried rice was full of onions. The Shanghai noodles didn't taste very good. We threw out most of this food, it was cheaper than everywhere else but the reviews were so good, I don't understand why. There are some pics on the reviews but our food did not look anything like that and it all smelled off.
the chicken was not crispy at all and tasted like fish
20$ a plate…would not recommend at all, avoid

My first visit with group of three, and I am VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Most dim sum items are below average, and they employ very shady business tactics.

For instance, take the deep-fried crab claws, a common item. They are served with two claws on one plate, misleading you to think each order is for two pieces. However, when the bill arrives, you discover that they have charged you for two orders, effectively doubling the price.

Additionally, they charged a 12% gratuity upfront, but the card machine prompts for an additional tip. Consequently, I ended up paying a total tip of 22%.

Service does not exist during lunchtime, and some items are extremely expensive compared to other Chinese dim sum places even in Richmond Hill/Markham area.

Definitely NEVER go back again!
Pretty good lemon chicken and fried rice. I wasn’t crazy about the lo mein because the noodles weren’t cooked. Service was excellent though.

Order was wrong. Ordered lemon chicken and got thick mushy breaded chicken with no lemon sauce. Asked for ingredients not to be included due to allergies & sure enough it was in the food. I live 3 mins way and the food was cold when I got home (not warm, COLD). Quality of the food has gone downhill after recent ownership change. Not to mention it was a $65.00 order. Will not eat there again.

I had best food ever, superb customer service😋for sure will visit it again, feels like a family visit there😊
I’ve had many spring rolls in my 29 years of life and never gotten on that’s black inside. I couldn’t even take a bite.

I was sick so I though some chicken soup would make sense, only to get only noodles and no soup. Owner expected me to come back for some broth or come back next time.

They seem nice but give the customer what they order. Nothing pains more than paying for food and getting the wrong item.
The food is quite good here. You need to ask them not to overcook deep-fried items. For a while, the rice had an off taste, they changed brands now it delicious.
We order a huge amount of food for a birthday party. We got 15 dishes by take out and spent a little over $200. All was tasty. Only one complaint. Some of the shrimp were not cleaned properly!
Had dinner at this place last night with family really nice restaurant with awesome dishes and the environment was also great and butter chicken and garlic naans was just awesome.

Great service and delicious food! Authentic ambiance and very clean! We'll be back for more!
Butter chicken is decent but the chicken was a bit dry. Wasn’t happy about the burnt naan (takeout)

Update - owner politely reached out to me and asked to make it up. I appreciate the effort so we’re gunna give it another try :)
Mango lassi was splendid. Must try. All the items ordered were delicious and less waiting time. There were two servers and both of them were good. Especially Gurdeep she was so accommodating and welcoming.
Excellent Food, never disappointed - Good portions, always fresh and with Big shrimp! Owners are very friendly and go out of their way to make it a great experience - remembering your favorite things from last time and offering suggestions

Someone complained about outdated drinks on another post.. Many foreign drinks date is the manufactured date and will look like they are expired! .. I checked their drinks/food when I was there last time and they are all good/OK!
Really good food and amazing service. Dennis was taking care of us and was wonderful through and through. It's been such a long time since we had a great service with a smile.

We had mushroom 65, parotta, chapathi, chicken chettinad curry, butter chicken noodles (kids) and onion tomato uthappam. Everything was excellent. Salt was a little less for us but overall satisfied with quality, quantity and authentic taste of the food.

Thanks to the chef's and amazing service staff for making our dinning experience an excellent one!

Came for lunch on Saturday at 1pm and it was packed. We had beef curry, butter chicken, aloo gobi, naan, rice, chicken pavuda, fish tikka and it was all fresh and delicious.
Got our order through skip the dishes, when it arrived there was a bird feather 🪶 in it. We tried to eat the rest of our order but was unable too as we could think about was this bird feather . I called and they said the rest of my food that is not fried should be fine to eat 😒

I ordered the samosa chat, chicken tikka masala, tandoori roti and rice for delivery.
The samosa chat was nice, however the chicken tikka masala and the roti were average. Unfortunately the chicken tikka was very bland with a water sauce and not much taste. Also I am not sure if the restaurant forgot or the driver, but I had also ordered a can and it was not in the bag or it was forgotten by the driver. Overall I will not be ordering from there again and try somewhere else.
I’ve eaten from here twice, and both times the food was delicious. I usually don’t like sweet curries but their paneer do pyaza was so flavourful that I didn’t mind some sweetness. The peshwari nan is also a bit on the sweeter side which is something I’ve never experienced before but it was quite good too. I would recommend chicken momos as the accompanying chutney had a good blend of spicy and tanginess!

Great indian restaurant with amazing options and taste!! We ordered samosa chat, pav bhaji and pani puri, and everything was simply amazing. From presentation to taste, the environment, we loved it all. Will definitely visit again!
Lengthy review.

We have been long time customers of this place. Before it changed owners, the food was so flavorful, hot, fresh and done well. Now, I don't know if I will return. I am going to try other places especially because what we got was not even close to what it used to be.

The inside of the restaurant is blah. There used to be a beautiful aquarium, so sitting inside was entertaining. They took it out. There is now a small alter on the floor. No qualms about the alter itself, but perhaps a table could enhance the atmosphere be more pleasant if they tried to make it a more visually pleasing standard. The walls are dingy and look like they haven't been washed in a while. The menu on the wall needs to be updated. The visual cards have ones with no picture. Why not just remove them???

So, for $62, I ordered chicken fried rice, beef and broccoli, garlic spare ribs and wor wonton soup. For the price I paid, you would expect gourmet. We were really disappointed in the quality of food over all.

The chicken fried rice tasted like it hadn't been rinsed before it was half way cooked and then fried. There was hardly any flavor and you could tell just by the soy sauce color it wasn't great. The beef and broccoli dish is a usual go to, but the broccoli was so mushy, I couldn't finish it. The wor wonton was okay, aside from having to remove a huge, thick piece of pork. And sadly, the garlic spare ribs are a definite no for me. They used to be dark golden fried, crisp, full of flavor and tasty. What we got were big mushy pieces of boneless spare ribs cooked to a light golden color and not much flavor.
I won't order.from here again. They need to up the standards of cooking their food. This was a waste of money and a sad disappointment. For 21 years we have been coming here and never had any complaints. After this, it's a no for me. It's time to find a new Chinese food place. Too bad!
Green Chilli Downtown Calgary exceeded our expectations with their fantastic snacks! The paneer tikka was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, and the steamed veg momos were a delightful treat. The taste and quality of the food were exceptional, and the service was top-notch. The staff was attentive and friendly, making our dining experience truly enjoyable. I highly recommend Green Chilli to anyone looking for a place with great food and excellent service in Calgary. We'll definitely be returning for more culinary delights!

We went to Raj Palace last night for supper and it was a lovely experience! The staff were wonderful and attentitive and helped explain the menu items! The food was incredibly flavorful and quite filling! Definitely would come back again!
We made a big order right before closing, and it was so fresh and well prepared! Amazing flavor and quality. Will definitely be back for more! I would recommend anyone to try eating here!
I ordered for my family tonight. The food tastes horrible. The rice may be on week one of being recycled into fried rice. The spring roll was mushy inside. The ginger beef, chicken balls, and deep fried shrimp were hard with so much dough around them. I’ve ordered from here before so I ordered again. Never again. I’m so dissatisfied in the quality of food. It all tasted old. I’ve never had over cooked spare ribs before and they were like paste in my mouth. My kids didn’t even finish what’s on their plate.

Raj Palace’s serving is huge as the food quantity per serving is high. We visited here for family dinner and ordered both veg and non-veg. Mutton Rogan Josh is tasty and blended well with Butter naan. Mutter paneer is of average taste. Fish tawa fry is dry and over cooked. Chicken lollipop is tasty but seems like rushed with over heated oil as it was over cooked from outside and under cooked from inside. Noodles tasted plain. Host is friendly and staff is nice. I would say average experience. Would love to visit again and see if they have better taste to offer.
Great meal and excellent service, was thoroughly pleased with all the food ordered. The beef and pork were nice and crisply well sauced and flavored, the rice was delicious and nicely Spiced. The veggies were fresh and delicious along with their sauce and the spring rolls were really good aswell! I will be coming back forsure!
What an absolute treat! I never had such tender chicken breast before, seriously. It practically fell apart with a spoon with just how many perfectly prepared it was!

Everything was cooked lovingly to perfection, and left us satisfied with the quality and quantity of food. We are going to be enjoying the left overs for the next few days (:

I cannot wait to order from here again for another New Year’s Eve feast. Thank you for the excellent service!
This is me and my husband's favorite Chinese food in all of Winnipeg! The fried rice is consistently delicious and portions are very generous. Highly recommend!

The kashmiri Chai with pistachios and rose petals was amazing though it was a bit on the sweeter side. So the next time, I asked for half the sugar and it was perfect. Service is slow but I think it's worth the wait. Prices are a bit steep for the drinks but not bad for an occasional treat.
I ordered fried beef with vegetables and rice to go. The lady who took the order for some reason decided that it has to be a dish number 4. I asked her 3 times if that is the dish with the fried beef, and she told me that this is exactly what I asked for. When I opened my box I found some breaded nuggets on top of rice (supposedly beef?). I was shocked. It didn't look appetizing at all... I don't eat breaded meat but I tried one nugget. It was chewy like rubber and absolutely tasteless. I almost threw up... What a disappointment and what a waste of money!

Last winter I placed the order with the same description and got a wonderful meal. This time the entire box went to the garbage. I will not order food from this place ever again!
The food is amazing especially the spicy crab they don’t usually have them available as the crab are fresh. If you have a chance must try!!

Starving and turned away for dine in service by a Chinese restaurant not to far from here ..my son and I ventured into Bowness and discoverers the Golden West Restaurant. We were greeted by a young lady that explained how dine in worked . You order and pay- cafeteria style- and your food is brought out in take out containers with utensils on a tray.

Desperate to feed my son something quick ( it was getting late).

We ordered his favorites via a dinner for two.

It came with

salt and pepper squid
Sweet and sour pork ( normally it comes with ginger beef but he finds that too spicy so we substituted the pork)
Spring rolls fried rice and wonton soup.

The young lady a mother of two young children herself totally understood and adjusted and accommodated all of our requests

I had forgotten to order the squid less spicy and my son had an Initial reaction that had him panting like a dog and waving his tongue frantically . Without hesitating- the lady taking the orders asked my son if he wanted some milk and rushed to get him a glass .

She was super observant and so so kind . She even brought some board games for him to play with while we waited for the food . I did not see but heard her children on the other side of the cafe-

This is a restaurant owned by a family that is very kind with amazing customer service . I would return for the service alone !!

The wonton soup was seasoned perfectly and the little wontons had a thin wrapping - which I prefer to the thicker kind. It had a little bit too many yellow rusticly chopped onions for my sons palate but I thought it was soooo good. The salt and pepper squid and sweet and sour pork were slightly both over battered - the pork had equal amounts fatty pork and batter -

My chef always told me the ratio of breading should at the absolute most - be 70-80 % meat and the rest batter , outside of this issue the degree of crisp was perfect . The sauce for the pork was a little too sweet but all tasted so good .

Rice was a bit oily but lots of flavour

Portions were HUGE

I still can’t get over how impressed I was by the service and the kindness from the incredibly intuitive lady taking orders . We will for sure come back for Chinese here and happily recommend them to any families or parents with young children .

These guys rock
It may look like an average neighbourhood joint, but Green Chilli surprised me in many ways!

We went as group on a Friday night, and were immediately greeted by the staff and the incredible aroma of the indian food. The restaurant was cozy, and neat and the tables were ready and prepped with napkins, cutlery and the service was extraordinary right from the beginning.

We ordered Chicken tikka, Chicken Momo, Chicken chilli, samosa, butter chicken, dal makhani and butter naan. Everything we ordered was delicious with a perfectly balanced taste including spices and seasoning. The chicken chilli is definitely my personal favourite and a must have at this place! The chicken momo is also a must have as the stuffing was juicy and delightful and packed with flavours. The chicken tikka (sizzler item) had the perfect smoky taste which we craved for! We also ordered mango lassi, which was personally the best lassi I have tasted at a restaurant- a very authentic taste.

Green chilli serves authentic dishes and we were overwhelmed with the hospitality. 100% recommend if you are trying to taste an authentic indian/nepali cuisine in the city of calgary.

Great place that I discovered during covid.first of all, great and sanitary procedure of how to give customers food in the store. Secondly, the food is spot on and genuine. Taste is really fresh, light and much more memorable than the likes of other Chinese food I've had recently.
Ordered two pad Thai, medium spice, and one spring shrimp roll. Both pad Thai were super spicy, and almost in edible. And they forgot to put any shrimp in the roll. This is the second time they get my order wrong so I took pictures of everything. There are other Thai restaurants very close to this location. Order from the others if you don't want a disappointing dinner.
Deep fried items were EXTREMELY OVER COOKED. Salt and pepper squid was so over cooked it was like deep fried rubber bands. Ginger beef, even the sauce covered pieces, were so dry and hard, it hurt to chew it. Just tossed it in the trash. Not worth my time even trying to argue with the restaurant. Dry ribs, house special fried rice, and Singapore noodles were pretty good. In the past was very good quality as Chinese food goes. But now not so much. There is better quality Chinese food in the area. Not our first order from here, but definitely our last.
One of the most authentic Chinese restaurants in Winnipeg if not the whole of Canada. I have lived in China for a bit in most of the cities from the north to the south and this restaurant reminds me of the aroma emanating from the restaurants in China. The part owner Ms. Ling was very attentive and provided options that would help us make good choices. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who craves Authentic Chinese food. Don't worry too much about the decor and setup. The Ginger beef is probably one of the best, although I would recommend that if you order it, ask them to tone down on the sweetness.
1 star because the food was hot and 1 star because the portion was large, but that's the only positive things I can say about this place.
I ordered a chicken chow mein add on with my order, but there were no chow mein noodles to be found in this dish. I called to explain that maybe they gave me the wrong item, because there are no noodles at all in this dish, but she tells me that there is a thick crunchy noodle in the dish (I thought they were carrots before I bit into one)
I let her know I was disappointed, but there was no offer to refund it or give me something else instead.
Also the breaded shrimp is comically bad. Way too much batter, and swimming in a pool of sweet and sour sauce.
I will not order from here again which is a shame because it's super close to my house.

Sesame chicken is a must. Lemon chicken keeps well in the fridge and isn't bad with the sweet sauce you get with the wontons. Nice staff. Overall not a bad place for something different and quick.

A must for every food lover...Lovely food.. Awesome manager. She is so nice and her warm behavior makes the experience more rich. The place offers a variety of Indian cuisine at very reasonable price. I feel the vast experience of the chef makes the food more delicious. As the name suggests.. it's a place for tandoori... But butter chicken and Bhoona Lamb is something every Indian food lover should try. The place has a good collection of drinks too. The ambience is really good with some nice Indian music playing in the background.. Overall a wonderful experience..
