Great acoustics! But terrible, disrespectful audience, talking through out the music and no security telling them to be quiet, ruining it for many. I did not go to hear voice over from the audience, but rather the musicians themselves. I have never ever had this happen at any other venue. Must be the location. Will not see anything else there, but instead head to venues where the audience appreciates the artists and is respectful, and is there to hear the show not themselves talking
Hats off to the actors, they have to work with some cringe material. If you're into sitcom-style jokes, like saying completely irrelevant lines just to set up a dumb punchline, maybe you'll enjoy it. We were stuffed into a giant hotel conference room with the lingering smell of nasty banquet food. Like a low-budget wedding.
This company must make a killing at $50-60 a ticket, only to put on what seemed like was just a polished high school play. Over-the-top characters and costumes, contrived dialogue where "clues" are dropped that we, the audience, are then asked to contemplate while getting watered down $10 drinks from hotel cart. This wasn't a brain-teaser - it was more like, were you paying attention to this garbage play? Honestly, we couldn't care less about who murdered who. This was no different from the high school whodunnit's we've had to sit through, for the love of family. Except last week we got fleeced under the bright lights of a stuffy conference room on a Saturday night.
Oh, and the entire cast is white. Come ON!
I hope the company pays their actors well. I can't imagine having to spew these yuk yuk lines in Value Village costumes in front of hundreds of people. Demoralizing.
Great place. Fantastic show. Staff are great, and happy to help

Really funny! Whole team had a great time. The MMT team was great, punctual and courteous. We had a group of 25 for our staff Christmas party.

The best theatre space in Hamilton. The karaoke nights are a blast. The cocktails are offensively good.

At a time when the world is in sad turmoil, we need The Staircase & its fun events more than ever to keep our spirits up. And it's the only place in town for improv classes. Recommended!
Great show for our Christmas Party ! Loved that we had our own staff involved in the performance and Brandon was incredible the entire night from leading the show to engaging with our team. Would definately have them again for another party !
We had them at our company Christmas party for Zenetec Collision Centre and everyone loved the murder mystery show. They incorporated our own staff into the show which is really what made it so memorable and funny!!

Saw an improv performance this weekend. Small theater where you are always close to the action. Wonderful.
My group had an amazing time with Murder Mystery Toronto. My group was pleasantly surprised with the jokes, acting and professionalism. Would 100% recommend!
Murder Mystery Toronto delivered a fantastic performance! Grateful to Pete who made the booking seamless, and to Michelle and Lars for facilitating the show. Our birthday event was made truly special and memorable for all our guests. Thank you.
Was a good show First time at the opera house 😄
Excellent cast - very funny. Audience loved them! Can't wait to have them back to our venue. Very organized and well put together.
This was a fun experience, but it was overpriced and I’ve been to much better productions. The actors were very animated and did a good job, the interaction with the audience was cute. Too much with the puns, it got exhausting. The murder mystery seemed very disorganized not really well written, there was not enough interaction with the characters because they talked so much and dragged the plot out way too long.
The food was ok but the desserts/fruit were terrible! They basically bought cupcakes and brownies from Walmart which the hotel ought to be embarrassed. The Buffett was nice but again way overpriced for what they served. Also I felt really rushed through the dinner . I think it’s ridiculous that you had to pay for pop.
We had fun, but I would not book this again for the price I paid.
Went to celebrate a 50th birthday with a group of family and friends. The food was great and the show was both fun and engaging. I would highly recommend Mysteriously Yours, it was a really great time.
Our daughter bought tickets for the three of us to go see Gord Bamford. I had fallen on Saturday and messed up my leg and had to use crutches. I made it through the first hour and when the break came I could no longer sit in my seat. I was talking to Marg ( a very wonderful lady) to see if there was a chair I could sit on in at the back corner so I could stand if need. She said there was an usher chair that was not being used so I could use it. Every one there was so awesome and kind. Thank you to all who helped me enjoy a great concert.
We (couple) opted out of the buffet dinner, we caught a glimpse of it on the way in, looked like your basics pasta, potatoes, chicken and salmon covered in cream sauce. Instead we popped into the Old Spaghetto Factory and walked the 25 mins or so up Younge St. We sat at a round table with 8 others who also opted out of the dinner. The seats are very close together and the water glasses were dirty (lipstick stains) but there was a ballot with your characters on it, pens and paper on the tables for us. There was a mini bar you could buy drink tickets and cocktails etc around $10/$12 each. Bartender was rude and didn't smile.
Then out come these 6 characters, dressed up in costume and 100% in character the entire time. They were FANTASTIC and made us all feel welcome and even asked a lot of us to say a line or play a part. At the end of the 2ish hours you make your guess as to "whodunnit" and if you guess the right character and motive you could win a little prize. The show was awesome, lots of puns. There were some children who seemed a tad bored. They recognized everyone for their special events which was nice (our anniversary of dating). Overall the actors rocked the show and I'm glad we saved some $$ opting out of the buffet.
Performers (Lars & Brandon) were fantastic. Highly recommend this interactive show. Office (Pete) was very helpful and understanding when I booked the wrong date for my event and had only 8 days to scramble and get performers. They saved my skin and saved the event. This is not a fly-by-night operation and the show is worth every penny.
Saw the Travelling Wilburys tribute band. Great show!

Great theatre space and café! Theatre seats have fantastic sightlines. They are however somewhat uncomfortably tilted back - if there are folding seats placed at the front you might want to consider that, or be ready to sit forward to relieve the pressure on your back.
Talented casts performing in a variety of genres at this historical venue. Intimate, comfortable seating with no bad views. Buy tickets online, reasonable prices.

We held a "year end" Murder Mystery dinner with Murder Mystery Toronto. They were absolutely amazing! Our whole group enjoyed it. They used name tags on our employees and it was very effective during the show, calling on certain people and having everyone feel involved and included. The mystery itself was great for table discussion/debate while enjoying dinner. The actors are all super talented, funny and wow, can they sing! We highly recommend and will be calling on them again to enjoy one of their other show offerings.
I don't even want to tell you how great a venue this is. It is a very small and well kept venue that I am afraid I will have trouble getting tickets for future events if you start attending.

I agree with other reviews who say there is not a bad seat in the house (acoustically speaking) but if you get seats far left you may not see all the stage for the tower of speakers. They may only be there for some performances and would not stop me from buying those seats... just something to be mindful of.

The performances I have attended were top notch and the ushers are a delight.
Pass by and walk around there. I visited it on Doors Open day many years ago.

Went here to see The Monsters of Schlock in October with my sister. She has been to other events here and was thrilled to share the experience with me. I was not disappointed! I had however missed the email I had been forwarded about the late show being cancelled. We came in to eat before it.....the staff was quick to figure out (without us saying anything) that this was the case and quickly got us into the early show which was just getting underway and was sure to invite us back to another show in the week at no expense. Top Notch customer service! On our return later that week we enjoyed some cocktails and a Massive Nacho plate that 4 of us had a hard time finishing! Be sure and have their signature spiral fries!

Food delicious! The draft selection is full of Collective Arts and other local craft beers. The staff is very friendly and the entire atmosphere is so cool and welcoming. We rented the theatre and had an awesome time. I will definitely be repeating the theatre rental and I hope to get back here for some delicious vegan eats, or a even a show in the near future.

We’ve been ordering from the staircase since day one and I have to say that I have never been disappointed! We’ve only ever gotten takeout, and it’s always been amazing - the food is delicious and such generous portions! And unlike traditional takeout, the quality is always there! No soggy mess, not thrown together and hope for the best. Good food, good presentation, amazing staff! Keep up the good work!

We sampled lots of items on the menu and they were all great. My favorite drinks were the peach iced tea and the charcoal raspberry shake. Caesar salad was really good. The fries were "too good to share"- the spice was perfect. The quesadillas were awesome and very filling and ideal for sharing. I'd recommend the brownie for dessert. We sat outside but the the interior is worth checking out. So many creative details! We're looking forward to renting the theatre for an upcoming birthday celebration. Great service and such a fun place!
This is a great Community Theatre. The space is a church turned into a well-designed theatre. ACT has added comfortable stadium seating so it's easy to see the stage. Although a small stage, ACT has learned to use the stage well. Their directors, crews and actors create plays that are of professional calibre and well worth seeing. Go and see some. You won't be disappointed.
Community theater at its finest. A fantastic group of volunteers whom painstakingly produce delightful plays. Highly recommend.
Innovative and top quality productions!
A fabulous dinner experience. You will leave satisfied not so much by the food (nothing extraordinary, though I tried just the vegetarian options in the buffet) but the joy of witnessing a Sherlock-ian mystery unfold over 2 hours. You actually get to follow the clues, guess whodunnit anf get rewarded if you're right. Make sure to let them know if you're celebrating your anniversary, birthday etc. They'll be acknowledging every such instance in a nice little way.
Good experience, food is okay at best. Since it’s called dinner and theatre, I would expect a little more. Drink service was very slow. We had to get the wait staffs attention in order to get drinks. The show was entertaining and the acting was good. It’s a very unique and intimate experience, the actors come around and sit at each table in character and interact with the guest. Some guest get asked to participate by contributing a line or two.
I have been to Mysteriously Yours a few times and every time I go it's always a great time. I really enjoy the food and entertainment they provide and would highly recommend it.
Absolutely love this place! My friend and I went to 2 shows in 2 years: Murder by the Books and Murder at Sea (haven't tried dinner with show).

The cast is engaging & hilarous. They'll walk around and chat with each table in character, improvise, create a nice comfortable atmosphere, and make current relatable jokes. If you guess the murderer, you can win prizes too!

Great place to celebrate and event. Just let them know when booking, and they'll give the birthday guest/anniversary couple/bachelor(ette) a one liner in their script.

Note: they don't have a parking lot. I went to indoor lots both times at 75 Holly St & 68 Merton St. Both are Green Parking, $6 after 6pm.

Hope this helps!
