Best Indian grocery stores in Switzerland

Friendly staff and nicely stocked store. They have groceries from a few different countries.
They have fresh vegetables and fruits.
They have some indian groceries as well attaching pictures for reference so it can help fellow travelers from India. I did thank the staff there for carrying indian groceries.

This is the best spices and specialty grocery shop in Geneva. If you have an ingredient missing for your recipe, it is probably there. The service is excellent and knowledgeable. It can be quite expensive, but they've got nice products, so highly recommended.

Comparatively, it's best price for vegetables.

sieht sehr sauber und sortiert aus, war aber nur für Takeaway dort. Kenne viele Takeaway im Kreis 5, die sind so mittel... Dieser hier im Kreis 4 besticht durch guten Geschmack sowie erkennbar frische Zutaten. Sogar das Brot schmeckt gut. Kann ich sehr empfehlen. Preislich unauffällig, Portion wie üblich, deutliches Übergewicht beim Reis.

Never ever go to this store , they sell expired items , today we bought ashirvaad aata and they had expired aata in their store and using some sticker with new expiry date and paste it on Ashirvaad aata , i removed the sticker to check and it was expired. I will never visit this store again. I asked multiple times as i am facing stomach problem. I will complain this further also.

I always have a very pleasant experience here but today(28th October 2023) was not so good. The man ( tall Sikh man ) at the counter was bit rude and he seemed very irritated. He was trying teach us how to put stuffs in the bag in a very rude manner and that too without we asking his help I believe that not every day is a good day but you need to behave politely with customers. And it came as a shock because we never had such experience here . May be he was having bad day or he was drunk, not sure

Good to see Indian grocery store in Zurich. Luckily our hotel was very near to this place. They have all Indian stuff including lime and thumbs up and haldiraam

The lunch-menus are tasty but I got a rather small portion. If I take "vegetarian" option and there are just two pieces of tofu in my plate... I would love it to be a bit more generous but I also did not say nothing so next time I will... Sorry!

Good food shop

The lady in the counter put wrong price, doesnt agree whats says on the list and manipulates shopped vegetables. Loosing trust previous owners built.. be careful!!

Absolutely perfect Indian grocery store in Switzerland. They have a lot of Indian vegetables, masala and pulses. But most of it is aligned to North India and lesser to South India.
Nonetheless, the most important thing is that everything is fresh (atleast for once we don't need to constantly check expiry dates) and staff are very friendly.
They have a small food counter as well which has very good Indian food at very reasonable prices. Prices are atleast 25% lesser than Indian restaurants in Switzerland even some having food that is very bad.

Have added some pictures of unique items we found at the store like mixer grinder, cooker, idly maker, etc.

Finally, getting to the store is quite easy even if you are coming from any other city. Get down at Zurich HB and take a quick tram and a 5 mins walk.

The shop has all sorts of oriental spices and products and they are of a very high quality. it's a gem in Geneva!

Das Lokal ist einfach. Das Personal aber steht's sehr freundlich und das Essen authentisch und besonders lecker. Würde ich weiterempfehlen.

This Indian grocery store is very convenient so visit very often, but some of those Indian Man which mostly work at the cashier are very racist and have disrespectful comments. Which shouldn't be allow into a public shop.

Wir kommen oft und gern hierher zum Einkaufen. Man findet viele Produkte aus der ganzen Welt, welche ich für alle meine kulinarischen "Experimente" brauche. Sie haben fast immer alles, was ich benötige und das noch dazu zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Am liebsten kommen wir im Sommer zur Melonensaison. Die Wassermelonen sind grosse Klasse und definitiv besser als in jedem Supermarkt. Die Obstauswahl ist sehr gut. Die Gemüseauswahl ist manchmal aber ausbaufähig. Wir sehen uns beim nächsten Einkauf ;o)

Lot of things around, but fresh vegetables as also some other products didn't look fresh, next to not really clean place

Ich gehe oft hier einkaufen. Man findet viele Produkte aus verschiedenen Ländern. Viele Gewürze und und die man nur dort bekommt.
Auch Gemüse und Früchte holen wir meistens nur dort sind die besten in der Region. Man kommt sich vor wie in einem Tante Emma Laden aber das stört nicht die Qualität stimmt.

Lyzamir - Oriental Specialty shop is a gem in Geneva... It has all you need from Oriental spices, products, dried food, items, accessories, home made products by made by a Lebanese; labneh, harrisi, rosemary paste and many more... It is Thee place to be for all you spice needs.

This place also has a selection of Asian, African and other products.

Easily accessible and right next to known landmarks.

A bit pricy, but you get what you pay for. Excellent products and highly recommended

That tag is misguiding people

My go to place for bamieh and mloukhieh and arabic spices, condiments and other homemade Arabic food. The homemade makdous is very delecious and the homemade debs remman is the best ive tasted.

The vegetables were covered with flies and the shop was messy and uncleaned. We asked for help for some specific asian groceries but the lady at the cashier is way too busy on her phone and her calls than assisting the customers. She left us stranded while we politely asked her for help. We eventually chose some random products and while we were at the cashier, again she was more keen to answer her phone and we were left waiting until she finished her conversation. There should be a little of courtesy at least towards the customers. There is no customer service and orientation.

Best Levant spice shop in Geneva. A lot of authentic Arab spices, nuts, sweets, grains and much more goodies. Was so happy to find this store in Geneva it was a little piece of home!

Lot of fresh food and food from all over the world. The store is somehow overloaded and you nearly don't have space 2 walk. Some prices are ok, but not all so you should rather compare

This shop fulfills all your needs for Indian ingredients, be it paneer, spices, dudhi, frozen naan, plantain.

Terrible and pathetic staff !i!

We landed on 24th June 2019, and stayed in H+Hotel in zurich. Being just across the street, it was a preferred supermarket for us. We went there around 5 pm, and we were looking for some milk, food and packaged water. We went to Global food and naturally went towards the fridge (cold storages). I opened the fridge door to get the water bottle and while closing the door, the door fell on me and hit me on the head. I felt a sharp pain, but managed to stabilize myself and also caught the door. The glass door was unhinged, but there was no damage done.
The staff there, came and instead of helping became instantly agressive. He said I opened the door too much, though laughable I said why don't we see the CCTV to see if I operated it properly or not. I was with my friend and inspite of seeing that, I didn't outstreach the door he still was defiant.
As we were foreigners he started saying that he would call the cops, as we had damaged the 2000 CHF worth of door. Yes 2000 CHF. And there was not even a single scratch on the door. The guy didn't speak English and we asked for help from another customer in the store, who told us that we would have to pay double if cops came the next day, but things should be settled before that. We were appalled. This was a day light roberry. As we didn't had that much money, we told him to call the cops, to which he replied that the store owner would come next day and then would call the cops. He took my phone no and photographs of my I'd and me. I told him no issues as I was just staying across the street.
Though there was no fault of mine, still I became nervous, as I had just landed in Zurich and it was my 1st time in Switzerland. I went back to my hotel and shared this with the receptionist. He calmed me down and told me to go ahead with my tour itenary, as it should not spoil my Swiss experience and have me confidence that If push comes to shove, the Swiss police is very neutral.
Fortunately the complain never came and I think the owner did not find any sanity to go after it. I had pain in my head from the hit, for the next 2 days. It was on me that the door fell, what if it would have fallen on a child or and elderly. The staff was very rude and it was a vary bad experience upfront, although the staff at the hotel, and rest of the locals were very kind. I hope next time the staff are more trained and have a bit of empathy. I would not recommend it to anyone, specially foreigners visiting the country for tourism.

Good quality, value for money foods from all around the globe. Love their variety, great and unbeatable prices around Zurich. Less than 1 min walk to the next tram stop (friehofstrase), just incase you buy alot and need to carry. Definitely recommended.

Very unprofessional at the counter, you should check your things after paying else you will be surprised when you get home that you have actually paid for more than what you bought.
The two women at the counter needs to really up thier service, its really bad for the shop.

Most if the Indian vegetables and spices are available. Got some fresh mangoes too at a reasonable price.

Perfect for cheap and high quality vegetables. Since I know this shop, I don't buy veggies anywhere else anymore. Prices are often 50-70% cheaper than in coop.

Die Zeiten für das Takeaway stimmen nicht. Ich stand vor lehren Töpfen und Fragezeichen in den Gesichtern und fuhr ohne essen Heim.

Hervorragende und schmackhafte Indisch - Sri-Lankesische Küche mit frischen Zutaten und Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Absolut empfehlenswert.
