Rosenhöhe in Darmstadt is a charming blend of nature and culture. The meticulously landscaped gardens showcase a stunning array of flowers, creating a picturesque setting for leisurely strolls. The historical elements, including the Ernst Ludwig House and the Russian Chapel, add a touch of cultural richness to the park. The well-maintained paths and seating areas invite visitors to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. While the park might benefit from additional facilities like more benches or informational signage, Rosenhöhe remains a delightful destination for those seeking a peaceful escape within the city.

it's a very awesome place. Lots of interesting stuff at the museum and the castle itself was very pretty.

shout out to the staff, very kind and helpful.

it was a great experience
It was lovely there, I really enjoyed it. Could have done without the swarm of cosplayers who were a bit too enthusiastic. But it's a beautiful place, so it draws everyone to want to visit.

it would say that they really tried besides the lovely rose garden the sphere is really very interesting inside it is so suitable for wedding ceremonies and concerts and photos Really Great place you must visit the park is huge very nice very quiet it was not populated very much there was space even for meditation, an extremely pleasant place
We had a nice guided tour of the area, explaining the history and advising of the hardships faced during WWII. It was very interesting. There were a lot of old structures - some original and some rebuilt after the war.

A beautiful place, very well-kept, you can sit on the grass and relax. There can be a lot of people in the square and it still doesn't feel crowded. Majestically beautiful fountain. I definitely recommend visiting Stuttgart during the "Weindorf" festival. It is organized near the square.
Perfect place to spend sunny day here. Has a big territory, different entertainments for children, a small contact zoo. There are a wide range of plants and flowers.

This park is huge and ideal for families with children. It is a park where you can spend your entire day relaxing and enjoying your day.

The entrance is pretty cheap i.e. 4€ per adult, but the food and drinks at the restaurant were a bit too pricey.

The best is to take your own picnic basket. There are plenty of nice spots to enjoy a picnic with your loved ones.

A beautiful botanical park! Very clear and peaceful! If you want to refresh and reconnect your mind it is the place to be!
Really beautiful and crowded during the day both in winter and summer.
Around the corner the are many shopping malls and some restaurants close to the area.

It's a very good place to spend the day! There are so many beautiful gardens. Waterfall stops after 6 pm.
Absolutely lovely place to spend a charming evening. Always welcoming to everyone after tiring day. Beautiful castle and street behind leave you under impressions.

The buildings and surrounding are very beautiful. People usually do their pre-wedding photoshoot in this location. It has wide garden and bunch of benches in location. Perfect for family picnic during the summer. To reach this area, people usually use a U-Bahn/subway from Düsseldorf Hbf and stop at Schloss Benrath station then simply walk for 2-3 minutes to reach the area. The building entrance in the photo can be found underground, the staff was nice and they are able to speak english, just simply buy your ticket online/buy it on the spot and show it to the staff. If you have a valid student ID, you can have a discount, don't miss the opportunity.

Very beautiful park. It’s a place to have a great relaxation with friends and family. Also for great photo shooting.
Really lovely place. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Amazing playground too!
One of the keepers allowed my children to hold a parrot which I thought was very kind of him. We will definitely go again in the future.

Best park in the world, no joke. There is a small entry fee but it was so worth it. I loved seeing the rose garden and the petting zoo. Super well maintained.
Such a beautiful park, plenty of playgrounds, amazing animals and pretty flowers. We spent the whole day here and plan on going again before we leave.

A very beautiful Baroque-style maison de plaisance built in late 18th century for summer pleasures, hunting, dancing, etc.

The architecture of the castle is very beautiful from inside and inside and there's a huge sophisticated garden around it.

There were several exhibitions in the other two buildings on the sides of the castle which were totally worth visiting.
What a beautiful place with such a great city feeling! Love it every time I come here. 😍
I loved the place! My partner and I sat near the fountain and enjoyed the view ❤️
I really recommend to visit this botanical garden at night during its illuminated times, it's so beautiful 😍
I highly recommend walking the larger park with big trees and various wooded trails in addition to the Japanese area. I also recommend making a stop here if you are driving between Köln and Dusseldorf. It's windy today and the trees are waving all around, air so fresh.
Quiet, relaxing spot. It's so beautiful and I can imagine during the week you could have this place to oneself.

Well worth the few bucks it costs. Interesting to read about the Krupp family history. Staff was friendly and helpful. Expect to spend between 1 and 3 hours here.
This is an impressive villa that underwent redecorating after the first owner died. The family portraits in the entrance hall are great. We went on a guided tour. Otherwise we would not have learned anything about the place as it's not a museum with a curated exhibition. Rather, the villa is mainly used for Foundation events and concerts. They have a small exhibition on the Krupp family in a side wing of the house. I would have loved to get more hardcore history facts. But it was a nice visit.

Went there with a friend in 2010 and it was a very impressive plaza and ideal for a walk on a clear warm day and nice place to take photos. Great monuments also and right near the Stuttgart Hbf station.
The park/plaza is simple to get to using U Bahn or S Bahn.
There are also some great nearby restaurants and shopping mall.
It can get crowded on a lovely summer day but if you like a crowd, then this is the place for you to enjoy nature and fabulous monuments.
Beautiful lawn in front of the government buildings, adorned by two beautiful fountains. Lots of people hang around here all day, having picnics or drinking socially. It become quite packed in the evenings. There's lots of activities around this place during their dinner festival. Must visit when you're in town.

The outside seems small and quaint with its pink paint, but the interior is filled with aristocratic decorum. The historic rooms are superbly preserved due to their strict policies. Exhibits are in German and English. The ticket office is located inside the gift shop, not in the actual palace, which can be confusing. The staff were friendly, and the outside gardens were also worth a visit.

🇩🇪💯👍
Spare your money and do not visit this place.
The nature is interesting but nothing you can't see in a free park or forest visit.
And the art is strange modern and in my opinion lazy.
There are some buildings which are empty, or look abandoned, and if they have some art it is either impossible to understand or totally offensive.
And of course the Labyrinth and 12 Zimmer Haus we're closed but the price was the same.
Extremely overrated and expensive, probably 5 euro would be a more fit price for this place.

The castle looks nice, but the inside does not worth the entry fee unless you love sliding on marble floors with gigantic slippers that they give you so you don't scratch the floor. The gardens which are free are very nice, a bit simple, but very enjoyable.
Definitely worth a visit. Clam, quite, neat and clean. Nice place to hang out or have a picnic with family and friends.

A reasonable 5 euro admission with free parking.
Lovely home of the Krupp family with historical information and displays.
Two main houses to see, the small and large.
The large is very grandiose with an amazing upstairs space and remarkable ceiling.
Nice grounds to walk round.

If you happen to be in Essen, don't miss this gorgeous park! Beautiful gardens with lots of flowers, a waterfall, stunning birds like pelicans, flamingos, parrots, and owls, ponds with tiny frogs, goats that you can feed and pet, ponies that kids can ride, a few playgrounds, a maze, and picnic tables and areas with chairs can all be found in the park. and a nice ride around the park on the train. You will always have a wonderful time!
For me it is a must visit once or twice every year

Beautiful place with nice green area around it.
We did not go inside the palace, thus do not know if it is worth it, but having a walk in the park was very nice.
Do not miss the small flower place next to the entrance.
There is also a free parking inside the area, with special places for senior people. But parking can be easily found around.
One small pity is that there is no cafe on the territory to enjoy some warm drinks.

Its a very beautiful place to visit for nature lovers.Planty varieties of flowers are bloomed. When we visited roses are not bloomed yet.The rosarium with rose dome is a must visit. Good place to visit with family or friends for relaxation. Benches are available along the pathways. Dogs are also allowed. Apart from greenary, trees, there are some interesting historical structures like mausoleums, tea house, spanish tower and lion entrance gate are worth a visit.
A very cozy park. Close to Bayer. As I understood - this park was created by this company as an aspect of social responsibility of business.

An extremely charming block of Japanese landscape culture. when we were blooming camellias. Beautiful lawns with grass. In another corner, a luxurious casino and Versailles style with boxwood walkways and statues.

Many families with children. They conduct photo shoots in Japanese costumes.

It’s huge territory where you can spend couple of hours easily. We were in January and this was also super lovely. You can go from one object to another and enjoy the great nature around. It is not easy to reach by public, but still possible.

On of the greatest parks in the city.
Super park

A wonderful experience. The park is very well designed and as you wander around you come across pavilions with art. Worth going back in May when the rododendrons are flowering

Great museum. Every view line is spectacular. The simple and basic food, water, thee and coffee in the cafetaria is free.

A really nice park. A perfect walk with beautiful views.
One of the best if not the best Japanese gardens outside Japan. It is so spacious, over 15.000m2 and covering everything from torii gates to stone lanterns, bridges, statuettes, gorgeous scenery and perfect arrangement. Hidden in the end of the park, it is a true gem near Köln.

Because of the historical elements, this park serves as more than just a green space for relaxation and leisure. It is also a historical site and has many places of interest for history lovers. Beautifully manicured gardens, rose dome, plenty to benches along the pathways, and so many historical structures. Overall a wonderful experience.
Working at Bayer, this is one of the many treats as an employee. In the lunch break, have a stroll in the park laid out by Carl Duisberg himself 100 years ago. The tranquility and beauty of the selected flora also attracts many tourists - the garden is open to the public as well.

Nice green space where you can talk a walk, do a picnic, or just chill doing nothing. Next to the bridge of the two River Banks that crosses the Rhine river, you can easily reach France in a few minutes. There is also a nice playground for the kids nearby. Great during summertimes with it's water games...

Tucked away in the city of Essen, Villa Hugel is the epitome of opulence and historical grandeur. The stunning mansion, once the residence of the esteemed Krupp family, is an architectural marvel, with a breathtaking display of intricate woodworks, most notably the awe-inspiring staircase. The first floor's expansive living room, boasting a beautiful glass ceiling, will make you feel like you've stepped into another era. As you meander through the mansion, don't miss the rich collection of paintings, each telling a fascinating story. Outside, the verdant park and garden are a perfect complement to the villa's grandeur. The visit is made even more engaging with an augmented reality application, breathing new life into this historical gem. And with commendable attention to accessibility for elderly and disabled visitors, Villa Hugel ensures an inclusive and enriching experience for all.
