Great spot for weekend trips or even longer vacations. Located near Trier, its easily accessable and the wakepark is fun. The personnel is very friendly and happy to help if you have a difficult start at wakeboarding or waterskying. You can swim in a lake near by and a little climbingspot in the water provides fun for the kids. I highly recommend it to everybody looking for something new / fun, eventho it gets busy sometimes. Went there multiple times and enjoyed it everytime!
Overgrown grass which cannot have been cut for weeks, majority pitches are long term and occupied by Very aged and rundown caravans. The only saving grace for a score of 2 was the sanitary block which was fairly modern and clean. General attitude of staff was not great. Overall was the worst site we have stayed in, in 3 months of travel in Europe. We had booked and paid for 5 nights but left after one. To sum up it was a bit like staying at an overgrown allotment site.
Ich habe mir den Sonnenuntergang dort angeschaut. Es waren kaum Leute dort. Zum See kann ich leider nichts sagen, da ich nicht baden war.
Einfach ein toller See, zwar kein Sand, dafür Kiesschotter, da ehemaliger Steinbruch, dennoch klares sauberes Wasser in Trinkwasserqualität an dem Hunde geduldet sind. Leider werfen manche Hundebesitzer die Kotbeutel einfach in den Wald, weil keine Mülleimer vorhanden sind, und dieser Müll somit durch den dort ansässigen Angelverein in mühsehliger Arbeit aufgesammelt wird. Der See ist vom Lufthansa Angelsportverein gepachtet und wird dementsprechend gepflegt, darum auch die Bitte entsprechend Rücksicht auf die Angler zu nehmen, damit dieser See auch weiterhin von allen genutzt werden kann. Ein gegenseitiges Miteinander wird Großgeschrieben. Feuer/ Grillen, sowie Zelten, Fischen für Nichtmitglieder sowie unangeleinte Hunde auf dem Weg hin und um den See ist strengstens verboten, da Naturschutzgebiet, auch das Parken für Nichtanwohner/ Angler ist mittlerweile schon radikal eingeschränkt worden, da viele einfach keine Schilder lesen können oder einfach zu bequem sind, sogar schon dreister Weise auf Privateigentum parken und sich dann wundern, warum sie abgeschleppt werden. Leute, nehmt einfach Rücksicht und achtet die Natur, wenn ihr weiterhin diesen tollen See in Anspruch nehmen wollt!!!

The lake is very clean, transparent water and the surrounding areas very well prepared to enjoy the day in the lake.
It is important that the safety team is allways taking care and putting attention ready to react in case of emergency.

This is my favorite place to go swimming around Munich. It feels so natural and calm, and it's stunningly beautiful at sunset. Few mins walk is the beach bar, where one can buy drinks and eat.

Sehr sauberer See, gut besucht, aber nicht überfüllt. Sanitäre Anlagen leider Mangelware, auch kein Eis- oder Getränke-Verkauf.
Enjoyed a hot summer day with friends & family! Calm settings and perfect for a few hours or the whole day. Swim, paddle or just waddle! Parking was easy but, may seem unregulated as some park on grass. Trails to and from are dirt and gravel. But it's easy to walk or wheelchair. You can take short walk to Oberschleißheim Regatta Course and the Beach Club, which was closed on my visit.
Trees line the lake so shade is available.
I do recommend "water shoes" but definitely not needed to enjoy. Beach blanket and or chairs. If with a family & kids, then a cart would be helpful to bring your gear. Have fun and explore!

Great beach for dogs and dog lovers
The lake is great!! But unfortunately on that particular day I went there it was just too windy to stay. Also you need to pay for parking .. and walking distance from parking spot to bathing area is minimum 10 minutes ..
Wunderschöner See, ruhige Atmosphäre. Perfekt zum Entspannen. Auch für Familien mit Kindern ideal, da es einen Spielplatz direkt am See gibt☺️🫶
The reception dont understand a clue english if you talk to the wrong employee. Thats so weird when you are supposed to be a tourist destination.
On the other hand, the new sanitary buildings was modern and clean. Other places there was just a container.
There was a drinking tap on almost every spot.
A little bit outside the area the camping had arranged some foodtrucks and drink where you could sit in some huts or benches. very popular.

Wonderful place for a dayout. Lake is beautiful. You could swim and relax. There is a children park nearby.
Was für ein toller Ort! Wirklich schöner See und Hunde soweit das Auge reicht! Alle total entspannt. Aber schlecht zum parken und unbedingt Proviant einpacken für nen entspannten Tag. Kein Kiosk in der Nähe 😅
Amazing clean water. The beach a little bit small. There are toilets for 10 cents. Parking 8€ per day. Eating-pizza, fries, ice-cream.
Wonderful lake in the north of Munich with crystal clear water.
Very clean and freshly refreshed from a nearby river. Not many spots for access compared to other local ponds. Gets busy very quickly.
Great place if you want to be closer to nature, you can swim, practice different sports and make a bbq.
You can come with a big group and enjoy the day here, there is enough options for parking.

Wunderschöner See! Einer der wenigen Seen, an denen Hunde geduldet sind. Deshalb bitte nehmt die Kotbeutel und euren Müll mit. Sonst wird dieser See auch noch für Hunde gesperrt…
Als Tipp: wir klemmen den Kotbeutel unter den Scheibenwischer und entsorgen ihn am nächsten Abfalleimer. So stinkt nix im Auto 🤭

Ein sehr sauberer See! Stinkt nicht und man hat ein Gefühl wie am Strand. Hunde sind erlaubt.

Traumhafter See am Rande von München 😍, ideal zum Baden oder einfach nur auf den festen Wegen einmal um den See laufen.

Good place to swim and sunbathe. The best way to get there is either on foot or by bike. Not sure how accessible it is for cars. And also it is probably tricky to get there by public transport
Good place for a leisurely bicycle ride around the lake. A bit isolated, but safe. Just make sure you carry a quick bike repair kit for emergency.
Lovely clear lake with a decent beer garden that does great food. Some sports and play areas ss well, and a couple of small beaches for swimming.

Zu jeder Jahreszeit schön, im Sommer kann man Schwimmen gehen und es ist an den Wochenenden eine DRLG Rettungsstation besetzt. Außerdem gibt's einen schönen Kinderspielplatz.
The camping was probably full, but the reception was closed already 18:30, and by phoning the only telephone number on the reception door, I was told that the reception was closed. Bad service.

It a super place where u can do water sports, amazing.
A real gem if you like nature swimming with an emphasis on nature. Most loud parties and high school groups go to nearby Feringasee instead. This lake is very small but rarely overcrowded and feels like a real getaway. The bottom of the lake is slimy and shallow with lots of water plants. If you don't mind that, it's perfect.

Am Stechlinsee findet man einen schönen großen Strand mit einigen Sitzbänken, viel Schatten zum Entspannen und sogar ein Toilettenhaus vor. Ein Bootsverleih für Ruderboote gibt es dort auch. Der Stechlinsee mit einer Sichttiefe von bis zu 10m ist nach wie vor einer der saubersten und klarsten Seen die ich bislang kennengelernt habe. Sehr empfehlenswert ist der Imbiss direkt am Strand. Das Angebot von imbisstypischen Essen ist absolut ausreichend. Empfehlenswert ist auch die Pizza auf einem ganzen Blech, da wird mit Sicherheit auch eine größere Familie von satt. Die Preise sind für den Aufwand, der dort von den netten Mitarbeitenden betrieben wird, durchaus akzeptabel. Das Essen kann auf Sitzbänken und an Tischen verzehrt werden, einfach nur super!! In der Sommerferienzeit gibt es unmittelbar am See allerdings zu wenig Parkplätze für Kraftfahrzeuge. Dennoch, der weiteste Weg zum Stechlinsee lohnt sich!!!
Theres always plenty of space and is not a very crowded lake. Not the most beautiful lake around Munich, but still very nice and relaxing.

I cannot fully rate this as we only stopped by after passing through. But we did get to enjoy the coaster and so worth it!
Family of 4 they had the 29€ for 10 tickets to the coaster better deal. Eventhough, we only rode twice so only used 8 of them but it was again the vest deal.
It looks like an amazing place to camp out , the two restaurant look great and they have water sports that definitely has us wanting to go back one day.
Until then I can only rate it this but will definitely be back and will update.

Lake Stechlin and the surroundings are a really peaceful and beautiful place. Worth to visit it.

Quiet and nice lake with the green trees all around
Wohl einer der schönsten Seen in der nähe von Berlin. Ca. 1h 20min vom Berliner Norden entfernt. Glasklares Wasser was man sonst nur in den Bergen findet. Der Strand ist eine große Wiese auf der man wenn ma rechzeitig kommt sicher einen schönen Paltz findet. Der Einstieg ins Wasser ist Sandig und zum Teil steinig und fällt sehr flach ab.
We have been here for half an hour or so cause we came from a long trip by car. #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet enjoyed the time swimming in the small lake. It’s a natural lake but small an on the other side with a nature reserve. So you can only go swimming mainly on the western part of the lake. So there is everyone and it’s crowded if many people wanna swim. If you go there by car you have to pay two euro. We arrived in the late afternoon so we didn’t have to pay.
Nice little lake, fairly shallow. Grassy plots and stairs lead into the water. Ants and birds and frogs all around. Tennis and soccer nearby, also parking.

One of the prettiest lake I have been. It was so beautiful and people were coming there for swimming. Water is green in color and pretty. Has places for a nice picnic with a nice view.

- you need a magnetic card to drive in and out. We stayed for a night and didn’t get it. Had to wait until they opened the barrier so we could leave… felt a bit like being in a cage.
The place isn’t necessarly bad, many will find it just right. It’s just different way of camping.

Quite a lovely wee lake. Perfect to sit down and chill, but there's other lakes nearby where the water quality seems to be much better, would choose them for swimming.
Just an amazing place to be. It's a huge lake with lots of opportunities to sit down somewhere semi-privately and enjoy the beauty of the lake. The water is very clear and lovely to swim in.

Really lovely like to swim in and a great place to chill. A lot of space around the lake to lay down and enjoy the sun after a nice and refreshing swim.
Very beautiful lake. Some parts are very deep. But sign boards are there every place saying that its dangerous. Lifeguard service is there, so dont have to worry much. Less people, ample of space for BBQ. Earth has lot of pebble so go with flipflop else you'r going to get hurt. I swim in many lakes, but somehow the water in the lake caused me itching all over my body, so come back to home and take bath immediately. Enjoy!!
The water is always very nice there, even when it is a hot summer you still can get a good cool refreshing swimm.

This place is great to spend the time with the family. It is perfect for kids as well. You can grill there or just spend some time in the beach and swim. There is a small shop close by. 15min with the bike From the closest sbahn station
This is a real hidden gem. Perfect distance for a bike ride out of the city, stop have a picnic and a swim... clothing optional 😄

Die Hacklweiher sind zwei sehr schöne Weiher, die sich im Privatbesitz befinden. Das baden ist aber geduldet. Die Anfahrt ist nur mit dem Fahrrad oder zu Fuß möglich. Auch der Müll muss eigenständig wieder mitgenommen werden. Dieser Ort eignet sich auf alle Fälle sehr gut zum ausruhen oder spazieren gehen wegen seiner Schönheit.

Nice clean place to swim. Very family friendly (many families with kids). Not so much space (so come early enough on a hot summer day). Parking can cost 2 Euros. But that is only on very frequented days.
The beergarden close to the lake is special. You order and they use megaphone to name your food when done. So hurry up to get your schnitzel before someone else ordered the same gets it! 😊

Such a nice place to spend time with family and friends, pure water, beautiful nature
Area for tents: very dirty, full of pieces of rubish and cigarettes, and just behind a garbage dump spot. Very noisy. Not nice for families with children.
Great lake with different sports activities. There is also Mini Golf, Segway and beach lane. Hotel, Camping and Restaurants nearby. There is an tobaggan run too of about 1 minute and a half. Just opening hours and seasons are approximately. Phone before coming because some activities might be closed.

The waters cold but there's a raft in the water a lots of trees to set up hammocks a park behind it a bar next to it and in winter it's really steep for sledging and if your lucky you can skate on the lake
This is a doggy haven! It's basically a dog lake with dogs running around. Of you are a dog owner I would highly recommend! It's tucked away nicely behind the main street.
Great fun for both adults and children. Plenty of outdoor space for playing and relaxing. Activities to include water skiing, boating, swimming, camping etc.

I was recommended this from a friend, but I was a little disappointed.
Although on all the site maps and website dogs allowed everwhere on the line , to find out that the policies have changed and not allowed at the main Sandy lake which is why we came. What do we do all day now with the dog.....?

We stayed 3 nights at the whonmobil stellplatz site. Everything was nice and clean, good toilets, shower, easy access to drinkwater, release greywater.
Only reason it didnt get a 5 was that it was a half click between the site and the reception and directions was unclear and caused a bit of confusion.

Nice quiet place with very blue water. Seems popular for people to bring their dogs, so not the best for someone who is bothered by that.
Great location to unwind and enjoy life. Wake board, roddelbahn, mini golf, football golf, beach, cycling, restaurants, playground for kids, etc...really well positioned in the Mosel valley. Don't miss it.

This is a cool lake. Clean, water and surroundings. An obvious meeting place for locals to have a barbeque, sunbathe or swim. There are sporting fields nearby, and the lake is within walking distance of the center. It feels like you are on holiday when you are here. Slept there in the open and no one disturbed me, it was a great night. Falling asleep under a sky of stars and waking up with the early sun was awesome. Stayed here for most of the day enjoying the sun. Many people were around but there are plenty of quiet places to be found.

Rooms are small but complete. The beds are good and the bathroom is very clean. Lots of activities available nearby and dinner in the hotel is good price/quality!
