We had the tasting menu and a wonderful time. The aubergine with eel was absolutely insanely good and everything else was wonderful. Great place where the Chef is right there to talk to you. What a great night.

Exceptional.

It was my first 3 star experience and it was worth my time and money.

Few dishes were quite experimental and my lack of sophistication didn’t understand it (mostly super gelatinous components) but the base sauces were full of umami and complimented the main proteins very well. The green apple sauce had a nice lacto flavour which was a pleasant surprise that paired so well with squid tartare. The tasting menu consisted of a lot of seafood and I thought it was brilliant since meat-focused dishes are often redundant when you dine out quite often. The main dish pork trotter was rather too extreme of a gourmet dish that i didn’t like it but it seems like there’s a repeating theme among michellin starred fine dining restaurants, that is, the main course is the least favourite dish I find. Having said that, I didn’t care that I didn’t like it. 80/20 rules. Except It was more like 95/5 at Lasarte.

The wine I chose was very, very good. I don’t remember the name of the wine but it was a Catalonian wine, listed first on the page for red wine from catalunya of their wine list, bottled in 2004. 130 euros or something. this 20 year old wine was so good. I don’t really know much about wines but it was just amazing.

The total bill came down to 818 euros. Not sure if it was reasonable price or not, but I made a memorable experience last night so it probably was.

Impeccable service.

For American diners that come here for a birthday, you probably shouldn’t come here for that because your birthday is irrelevant. Go to a steakhouse and get a cheesecake with a candle on top instead.
Me ha encantado el brunch. La comida es riquísima y mucha cantidad, seguro que no te quedas con hambre. Nos atendió sobre todo Liz y fue encantadora. La única pega que al final de la comida no había personal y tardaron mucho los cafés

Came in expecting theatrics and ambiance with overrated food, but it’s actually a pretty straightforward restaurant experience (with cool ambiance and a few funny props) with AMAZING food. Probably the best of the 3* places I’ve been too, almost every dish was extremely innovative, tasty, and got to me on a personal level. Very highly recommended.
A really daring and adventurous menu, executed very well. The chefs clearly like to challenge conventional culinary boundaries and surprise diners with new flavors and ingredients. Definitely a restaurant foodie’s (and 95% of diners) will enjoy, but which might overwhelm some with more conventional tastes.

The blunt tomato, smoked sturgeon, beef lollipop and goat milk dessert came out as especially memorable and world-class (likely at 2* Michelin levels).

The lone glitch was a missing course - the boletus with rabbit glaze never arrived. When we inquired, we didn’t receive a sound explanation as to why, and another dish showed up as a replacement.

Service was efficient, attentive and thoughtful.

Space is large, with lots of space between tables. Spartan (almost bare, museum like decor - sans any actual art) was a bit of letdown and didn’t seem to complement the trailblazing cuisine.

Wine pairing was excellent and a great value.

The service at Lasarte has been honed to a razor’s edge; every time an item was placed on the table or a glass was moved I marvelled at the precision of the staff who seemed to move in a way that was not merely coordinated but perfectly synchronised. Each interaction was a wonderful blend of formality and friendliness. It was a marvel to behold and something I will never forget and is the standard by which all fine dining restaurants will be judged.

Fortunately, the food was worthy of the staff’s extraordinary talent and efforts. I found each dish to be absolutely delicious, with amazing sauces and with just the right mix of textures. The presentation was invariably creative and the plates delightful. Also need to mention the bread selection which was necessary to mop up the most delicious olive oil l’ve ever tried.

Overall I can’t praise Lasarte enough, it absolutely lives up the epithet expectations given the accolades it has achieved.

Definitely my highlight of the year. It wasn’t just a delicious dinner, but a whole experience and even writing this now brings back all the wonderful memories. I don’t know how it’s possible, but every next course was more exciting than the previous one, like there is no limit to the fantasy and creativity of the chef.

Great wine pairings, wonderful knowledgeable service, no rush. The one and only thing I found a bit off is that I was sitting facing the table where the used wine glasses were stored before being taken to the back room, but that’s really the only thing that wasn’t perfect about this place.

There was a LOT of food in the tasting menu, including the two complimentary appetizers, to a point where towards the middle of the meal, I was a little too full to fully enjoy the flavours. Creativity of the food was great but I was a little disappointed with the service, as there was no customizations or even a simple happy birthday although I noted in the reservation that it was my birthday. Furthermore, our server rolled his eyes at a somewhat entitled diner sitting next to us, which was shocking compared to services in North America fine dining restaurants. With all this, there was a tip prompt on the machine, which we reluctantly tipped 8%

The food was great but the price is not justifiable. Ordered a dish and paid an additional 40€ for white truffle shavings but the truffle portion was not generous and it wasn’t nicely shaved. It also didn’t really add much to the dish.

There wasn’t a menu for wine by the glass but we could order them anyway. We were charged 40€ per glass and I later found out that the whole bottle only costs 30-40€. To me, that is an insane markup!

Last but not least, we went there to celebrate a birthday and I had specified so in the email and then again, when I was there. They said they noted it but didn’t do anything about it! Not a candle, no decoration on the plate, nor a simple happy birthday wish.

We expected a lot more from a 3 stars Michelin restaurant and for the price we paid.

Diver xo is a unique space that has become a fantastic setting for the avant-garde and creative cuisine of the chef Dabiz Muñoz. Chef Muñoz is the second-youngest person in the world to earn three Michelin star, at 33 years old. He is renowned for breaking rules in all aspects and not just in the kitchen. His goal is to surprise and misplace. Truly a gastronomic experience; creative and unpredictable. The menu has
Asian infused flavours but well balanced.
The frosty salad and the “paella” were both the highlight of the dinner.
The atmosphere is funky but relaxed.
The service was very good. They were very flexible in adjusting the menu.

I have no idea how Dabiz Muñoz does it that I feel that every time that I visit DiverXo I feel that this is his best menu ever? And how is it possible that from the 18 dishes I had today 17 were new dishes from my last visit 6 months ago? The man is a genius and DiverXo is a must visit (if you can score a table:))

Angle is a 2 Michelin star restaurant that does a great job of balancing creativity, flavors and techniques at a high level while being completely welcoming and fun. We had the fixed menu (185 Euros) and split a wine pairing. The experience begins in the hotel lobby with some innovative cocktails and takes about 3 hours (for lunch).

The dining room is upstairs and is quite simple with a light centered on each table supported by a sweeping arch.

All of the dishes were delicious and visually stunning. We especially enjoyed the crayfish small bite and the sweet corn taco with fluffy foie flakes. Both packed a wallop of flavor. The hot bread is some of the best bread we’ve ever had and is served with 3 butters (std, smoked and aged). The grouper course is steamed next to the table - delicious.

The wines were nicely paired and included a beer for the chocolate dessert course.

Afterwards, the restaurant was kind enough to give us a kitchen tour. The chef and brigade were quite welcoming.

Definitely worthy of their Michelin stars and five stars for a fun and welcoming time.

What a crazy experience. I think this is over the top even for a three star Michelin restaurant with its 17 glasses wine pairing selection. Be prepared.
The only remark: they should probably speak a better English, especially the sommeliers were incomprehensible

The staff were all very lovely, the atmosphere of the restauntant was great. The vegan and vegetarian options here weren't very good, the tapa of the day was delicious but I can't remember what it was, it was a substitute for the fish Hummus. The starter was very lovely too but the main was then just vegetable rice - it was very salty and just a plate full of rice basically with no protein. The chocolate vegan ice-cream was very good, I enjoyed that. I wish the orange juice was fresh, as it tasted very artifical. Overall, I wouldn't say this place was good for vegans or vegetarians for a proper meal

Exceptional dining experience at Lasarte!! Everything from the food to the service is beyond exceptional as you would expect from a world-class 3 star Michelin restaurant. We went there during lunch and had the full tasting menu. A la carte and lighter lunch lasting was also an option. There were at least 16 courses and a few surprises along the way. A must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Barcelona's culinary scene!

Not a mediocre 3 but short of 4.
I really enjoyed the old decor and ambience. The service was impeccable and friendly, but I really expected more from the food.
Nothing really impressed me and that’s not even considering the price.
The Turbot was a little hard, the squab was quite unbalanced and the Turnedo didn’t have truffles and just a small piece of Foie.
The best: the Flan!

Nice and quiet dining room, the restaurant is divided in to multiple small rooms, which definitely enhances the experience. Food was very good. More on the classic side. Two options for wine pairing, which I like as the premium wine pairing gives you the opportunity to try more high end wines without the need to buy entire bottles.
We do a lot of Michelin meals and look for ones when we travel. This is a one star but there are two major reasons I would increase their Michelin to a 2 personally:
The food isn’t merely a chef’s creations . Thus 14 course meal was a culinary love letter to Spain. For those who want to taste flavors unique to the country from a chef that understands very well how to do it — this is the place.
Second: the wine pairing. It’s very difficult to get wine pairings done right. Each wine was good as a stand alone but brought a whole new unique flavor to the dishes when combined. It’s a pairing that doesn’t just go with the food, it complements it and adds to it. That has not been my experience in other Michelin 1’s.

I was very honored to taste what they are doing here and it deserves every bit of the attention it gets and then some.

My family went there for lunch and had their tasting menu, which was very delicious! The environment was fancy and clean, and the service was excellent. All the servers were polite and nice and made sure we were satisfied. The food was extremely quick and there was little wait time between the courses. The dishes were also plated very intricately and delicately. Personally, I didn’t like how all of the dishes had raw seafood/meat, which makes the food a 4 star for me. I strongly recommend the Las Landas pigeon for the main course and the cinnamon spheres for dessert though, they’re super good! Overall, it was a great experience and the food was delicious.

All the dishes were amazing!
My favorites are jamon covered croquette, the prawns and desserts (pistachio was so good).
The little round ball served with the prawn was melting in my mouth. And the pudding was so creamy.
I think this is the best restaurant we have been to during this trip in Spain. Thank you so much for kindness and amazing food!

This restaurant has one of the best settings in Madrid. The way they utilize the space is very chic. Excellent place for a romantic night out or for a group of friends. Each dish that comes out is unique and thoughtfully prepared. The mix of flavors explode in your mouth. The ambiance is the best quality of this place.

This is an honest review based on my dining experience. Google - please post this review.

We somehow managed to snag reservations at Angle while in Barcelona. We had an 8:45 pm reservation. When you arrive, you are on the ground level of a hotel/restaurant. They sit you in the lounge and offer you a glass of wine while you review the menu so you can inform them of allergies. After a few minutes, they take you to a bar area for a few quick bites before you as escorted upstairs to be seated for dinner. The dining room is quiet small so you see and hear most of the diners. As is typical with most Michelin restaurants, this was a tasting menu. Our menu was pretty heavy on seafood so I could imagine that bothering people who don't like seafood. I think about 4 of 6 savory courses had seafood as the star. We had three dessert courses and petit fours (chocolate bon bons). They also served a bread course (poppy and pumpkin seed) - we didn't finish our loaf so we asked if we could take the remainder home. They didn't have an issue with that but when it came time to leave, they couldn't find it so they just sent us home with a whole loaf. Overall, the food was really good and beautifully presented. I personally enjoyed the focus on seafood and it being a fusion of Spanish and Asian flavors. The only thing I disliked about the experience was the ambiance in the restaurant. It was so quiet in the restaurant that I felt like I need to whisper at my table so I didn't disturb the other diners. This is also a long meal so be prepared - I think it was about 3 hours.
Context: From London, studying at Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Madrid & have been to various Michelin recommended restaurants (inc. eleven Madison, royal hospital road, waterside inn).

View: one of best restaurants in the world. Had several dishes that would grade in my top 10. Squid. Red Prawn. Croquette (award winning). Excellent service. Creative dishes (amazing banana ice cream with caviar, works so well, salty, texture). Flawless presentation. Wine pairing was very good value and unique wines (inc. A wine stored in the ocean).

Many thanks to the team.
Pedimos el menú degustación y todo buenísimo. Una opción perfecta para probar varios de los platos que ofrecen en carta.

We had a great experience here from the service to the atmosphere to plating and presentation. The tasting menu served 12+ dishes and we felt like we went to the beach and to the ocean depths and back. The first 7 entrees felt like it was much of the same and mostly raw. 3 entrees in we were craving for something different something warm and with more substance. The meal ended with venison which was amazing. And the dessert is absolutely delicious and saved the meal and experience.

Extraordinary quality and care.
We had a wonderful experience with the set menu. My wife tried the wine pairing, and it was mesmerising. We loved almost every item on the menu's, everything was delicious. The service was very professional and cordial. Definitely recommended 👌
I was excited about this reservation. The Gran Melia is a wonderful property.

Ultimately, I would try this location again during the spring / summer in order to enjoy the patio experience as well as the food.

One dish seemed to be over seasoned to me, but otherwise the dishes served were well executed.

The wine pairing was enjoyable, but I would have liked an unprompted offer of additional insight into purveyor as it would have elevated the experience.

The service within the actual restaurant was a littler looser than hoped both in terms of form as well as training. Covid has been tough on the service industry, but additional training is needed.

Last notes; I suggest either using a table cloth or losing the fixed place mat and using a cloth/organic material to bring warmth to the space as it felt 'cold'. *The lighting was obtrusively bright. I suspect the lighting is on a dimming system and that the 'settings for dinner' were not managed by the floor manager that evening.

If you are seeking a more casual experience, this is a good fit. My wife's espresso martini was well made and the flatware is of high-quality.

(*Note, F&B service within the hotel is very strong. Red Level is even better both in product quality as well as service knowledge.) Respectfully, M. Anderson

Simply amazing! the best experience you can get. We took the 14 dishes meal (the modern Spanish menu) and each and every dish was outstanding. Please note that although each dish is pretty small, it is very hard to get to the 14th dish :)

We have been there 3 times. The tasting menu is always superb. My favourite was a tasting menu with a black truffle theme; there was black truffle even in the dessert. The service is the best and the restaurant has a classic decoration.
The service was excellent. The food was over the top amazing. Tasting menu for my spouse, our 14yr old and myself. The chef created a simple pasta dish for our 9yr old. The best meal we had in Madrid. Hands down.
I truly think this place is not worth the time or money. The food is only ok, the wine pairings is absolutely not worth it (especially if you want your wine paired with the dish it’s supposed to go with … we sat with empty glasses and skipped wines for multiple courses), and the service is mediocre at best. The staff felt all over the place the whole time like no one seemed to know what was going on or know how to communicate. The food was, like I said, ok but all the dishes were warm like it had been waiting on the service and the wine, which never came.

For a Michelin-star adjacent restaurant it was a very large disappointment and I’m very upset that we paid 40€ for a nonexistent wine paring. I think you’d be better off at the bar around the corner for €150/person you could have yourself a time.

An intermediate experience. It's very old world, the decor is outdated, the staff are very good but it feels formal. We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairing. The food had highs and lows, some plates were excellent (for example the quail), others mediocre to poor (eg the prawn with macaroni: the fumet was excellent, the macaroni way overcooked and not finished in the sauce). Given the price they charge for a mixed experience, I wouldn't return. You can do better elsewhere.
Good food. Friendly service.
Prices are about average for a nice restaurant in a nice hotel.

Very nice ambience! The food was fine but not great, the pigeon was not cooked well. The service was poor - we were told to eat faster because the kutchen was ready, and cutlery for the next course was arranged while we were still eating. On top of that, the waiter asked how much tip we'd leave which was rude.

Via Veneto is not your typical Michelin-star restaurant. It is a living vestige of the bygone world of high society dining, smart jet set, impeccable service and world class ambiance.

Yes, it is indeed quite different from many of a Michelin restaurant we have visited before. Having been in continuous operation for the last 50 years, Via Veneto (hint, hint at the hedonist culture of the eponymous Roman street in the 1950s and 1960s, immortalized by Federico Fellini's cult movie Il Dolce Vita), the restaurant, a favorite stomping grounds of Salvador Dali, employes old-school tuxedo-clad waiters, sommeliers proudly displaying their massive badges, intricate machines for deboning and serving, opulent interior, etc.

Needless to say, the food is on par. Dazzling, complicated culinary creations, Epicurean feast at its finest. There are two dining options, à la carte and a Great Tasting Menu, consisting of 8 courses, and offered at a bargain price of € 115 per person. If you choose on wine pairing, the total of the Great Tasting Menu will be € 150 pp.

Highly recommended.

A more traditional style restaurant with classic decor and highly trained staff. Had the tasting menu with wine pairing. Highly recommend but is €€€€
The tasting menu for 85€ felt appropriately priced for a 10 course meal. 40€ wine pairing was nice value as well. Favorite dishes were the fish courses, and the mochi filled with gorgonzola and apple was very delicious, too! We were a party of four people—two women, two men. To me, it seemed like the women were served noticably smaller portions of food than the men in a few cases. Specifically the fish portion for the guys were maybe around 4 oz instead of 2-2.5 oz for the ladies. It was a surprising difference! I noticed because I love fish and made my husband trade his plate with me 😜 This is a type of restaurant where I would expect even portioning, so I am hypothesizing that it was purposefully done, but with good intentions to cater to smaller appetites. Wrong assumption to make for us, but maybe generally this is true. This happened also with the meat dishes. Service was pretty attentive until the very, very end when we couldn't get the bill for 45 minutes. Our servers seemed to all have gone on break. Dining room is intimate and comfortable, so we considered moving in. 😂

A paradise of gastronomy and "savoir faire". The Via Veneto is the only restaurant with a star in which the Head of the Room is more important than the chef. Friendliness from the door to the conclusion, extreme professionalism of all the staff, with special mention of the sommelier. The food, exquisite, the cellar, sublime.
Perfect Service and very tasteful food.

We ate here in January 2019 on a weekend afternoon and considered it a worthwhile splurge. Friendly service and creative, delicious food with an Asian-Catalan fusion feel. In our contemporaneous blog I described the meal: "octopus Bomba, clams with artichokes, Chinese beef dumplings styled after Catalan Galet soup, and regional snails topped with aioli. Our Priorat wine is amazing. We ordered expresso for dessert, but small children deliver almond cookies and chocolate courtesy of the house. We are charmed." I should have added "sated." Can't wait to return some day, hoping for winter 2021.

If you have doubts to go or not - leave them behind, go and enjoy it! I was there for a Sunday lunch with a 7 years old gentleman- and we both totally enjoyed it.
Tasting menu includes 9 plates, plus 3 go as a kind of chef compliment (strawberry gazpacho is a jaws dropping must). Plus incredible selection of warm bread (make sure you try the olive ciabatta).
The first starter, Coliflor y caviar, is a subtle mix of cauliflower sauce, truffle flavor and seafood. Cream soup with lobster and mushrooms is simple but delicious.
The main course is fish and meat, separated by sorbet. Bacalao was quite average, I’m not sure wakame is the right ingredient there with it’s quite strong taste; but the meat was out of this world, mix the different flavors on the plate - one for each piece of meat - and you’ll live heaven on earth.
Cheese plate is good with cheeses quite peculiar and nicely selected.
Pre-dessert is an incredible beetroot pineapple where you feel cinnamon flavors and a pure freshness.
The dessert, a Nectari hamburger, is a divine mix of white chocolate, nuts-filled biscuit pillow, mango and ice cream. Ketchup- and mustard-like bottles is a nice touch for presenting sauces.
By this moment you barely can breath but the bonbons are like small gremlins - they will attack you and you’ll eat them all (although coconut one could be more sophisticated).

All the meals were also tasted by the little one - and enjoyed a lot. Don’t hesitate to bring a kid there- it’s totally worth it to raise an adventurous eater who has respect for food, its ingredients and the way it’s presented.
There’s also a good selection of plates outside of tasting menu - my son enjoyed risotto with mushrooms and truffles.

Two things I would change:
- a smaller room which is super nice for a quieter meal (only two tables) features a mountain of some stuff covered with a table cloth - you feel like in a kind of back room.
- tea experience- if you would like to drink tea there you would expect a more refined experience (including a teapot)

We have eaten in many Michelin restaurants across Europe including in Paris while we were living there. This was easily among the same quality. Great chef, great staff, fantastic ambiance in Eixample Barcelona right around the corner from where we live. I highly recommend them.

Very good restaurant and the staff speaks English, which is always nice. We were with 3 and I think we could've done with one starter less. Burratte is good, not runny on inside, though, but HUGE. The shrimp carpaccio is amazing and tastes very much like good shrimp. The anchovies are spectacular, really give those a try! The steak was great. It was 1,5kg, it was too much for us, but the taste was unparalleled. It's a little expensive, but that's expected.

Amazing dinner. My favourite? The Angus beef and asparagus is delicious and the scallop out of this world. The price is not cheap, desserts are around 10€ and mains around 30€. I share some pictures :)
Absolutely superb! The restaurant is beutifully designed with pretty dishes and comfortable seats. Food was exquisite and service was impeccable. We were treated with two delicious appetizers on the house. We then were served with bowls of smoked olive oil, salt and a choice of crispy wonderful breads that tasted heavenly. Had drinks and great wine, shared a dish of ravioli with fois and chestnut sauce, had succling pig and french style hare for main course and a lush sculpture of African chocolate for desert. Everything was creatively designed and delicious. To end this great experience, for my husband's birthday the waiter brought 2 jewel boxes that contained a golden traffle. If you're in Madrid, this is a must
Very tasty and good food.
Great restaurant
Best ambience in a simple restaurant and bar with excellent service quality and price. Unbeatable.

Had lunch there with a business partner.
Good service but waiters maybe a bit too close to the tables all the time. We felt interrupted in our conversation too often. It made me feel uncomfortable. Food was nicely presented and ingredients seemed of good quality (we had seabass and a steak tartare and both dishes were good) but you have to like modern cuisine by a chef experimenting with flavours and colours and be ready to put the price for such a “mise en scène” if you want to leave the restaurant happy.

1kg 40-day dry age for 1 person = the dinner of a lifetime. Didn’t eat anything else. The meat is full of flavour, tender as can be, and bursting with dry-age funk. There is also a 90-day, but a little pricey for a try for the first time at a new restaurant. If my wife wasn’t there, I would have killed myself right there and then because after that steak, there ain’t much to live for.
Addendum: The wife had the veggies, croquetas, and cannelloni, all of which she enjoyed.
We have a good atenttion. Is one of the best restaurants I eat on my vacation. Thank you guys .!

We had dinner at the kitchen table and it was a great dinning experience. Ignasi and Carlota, the main chefs, and the service was excellent, nice and kind staff that felt like being at home with a knowledgeable chef teaching their secret. The pig feet with red shrimp was my favorite but their caneloni is also a must. Their tuna and Ribeye came at the perfect cook time. They don't have a super extensive wine list but we tasted new wines which were also very tasty and with some new flavors, specially some of the Garnacha we tasted. For desserts, I would suggest the mel & mató ICE cream with parmesan cheese. I would suggest reserve the kitchen table only for a group of four or more. Will be back for more.

We came here for tasting the restaurants lunch special. Appetizers are so good and gorgeous. But the main course is a little bit not suit our tastes. Especially for the paella is extremely salty. After reacting with waiter, the chef offers another paella without any salt, it's ok, but too extreme way to do so. The better way is to provide some salt or spices for us to adjust ourselves. For the above reason, chef treats us two glasses of wine for compensation, I think the service is good and the food is worth to taste.

this place is pretty nice, modern and with a nice see-through kitchen. The tables were a bit too close to each other for my taste, but nothing serious.

We had some nice oysters and a pretty good taco with crab and guacamole. But the star here is the meat. The t-bone is very very good. For me that was the highlight of the meal. It is a bit pricey perhaps, but if you want to indulge it is definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant is a real gem in L'Eixample. During my trip to Barcelona, I accidentally stumbled across this place while walking around the neighbourhood and made a reservation for the prix fixe lunch. The restaurant has a small, intimate feel with lovely decor. There is an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs go to work. The food is excellent - you'll be getting Michelin quality food for a very fair, reasonable price. If you also have dietary restrictions, the chefs are very accommodating.
While speaking to one of the chefs, I've come to learn that the restaurant opened up about 8 months ago and is quite new to the neighbourhood. If I remember correctly, he also previously studied and cooked all over the world from Singapore to San Diego. The whole dining experience was the highlight of my trip and I would return back in a heartbeat for my next trip.

Was able to book easily via email prior to our trip. Restaurant sits about 12 people. 9pm on Monday and we were the only patrons of the night. Out of the way from tourist attractions but worth the visit. Tasting menu leave you full and satisfied and the chef also greeted the table at the end of our meal.
