We had the Wee Tour of Scotland Tasting menu and it was amazing. Really interesting selection of wines that worked amazingly well indeed. Will be tracking them down to buy. Every dish was cooked to perfection, full of flavour and variety, made from high quality ingredients. Small restaurant with a nice, relaxed vibe. Staff were all great, kept the food coming at exactly the right pace and even got us a taxi at the end. Loved it. Will go back.
Caution warning - enter new York Krispy levenshulme at your own risk and if you want to compromise your self respect and want wrong order . I had went to the shop and had ordered food for my family of over £30.00 pounds . It's not the first time I had dealt with staff wearing cap and glasses on front . He has great skills to be rude and atrocious with customer ,but this time it had went beyond comprehension.
That particular staff had made no greetings and before even taking order demanded cash . Surprisingly he did not put cash in till and took 30 pounds opened till and put it in his pockets ?? I had challenged this and he said you can leave if you don't want to order . Felt as if I had come to a foreign country then he started speaking in foreign language to other friends as if I had asked him something very unusual .
He had hurriedly in insulting way took order and said it will be 20 minutes when restaurant was not even busy . Eventually I got food and requested for sauces to which he demanded more money on order worth 30 pounds and this time card machine was working perfectly. It was absolutely degrading and unacceptable service .
Worst part is when I got home ,the same gentleman who prepared my order totally messed it up by giving less items .
I had called as I live 4 miles away and over the phone I was told I was lieing .

My spouse and I decided to try something new and went here for our wedding anniversary dinner. We had high hopes based on the reviews and awards it has won. I got the vegetarian tasting menu, and my spouse had the regular tasting menu. The food was just 'okay' and the portions were absolutely miniscule. One of my courses (roasted cauliflower) had literally one small floret of cauliflower. The courgette course had 2 thin slices of courgette. 1-3 bites of mediocre food with a wait time of at least 20+ minutes between each course was excruciating as the food was neither worth the time nor the price. The cheese course we ordered had several non-vegetarian cheeses which I only noticed when we received the cheese descriptions right before the course, so I asked if we'd be able to do it with just vegetarian cheeses. They said 'maybe', they'll check, and walked off. 10 minutes later they came back with the cheese course which only had 2 vegetarian cheeses, and they said they gave us a wee bit more brie to make up for it. They didn't tell us this ahead of time otherwise I wouldn't have opted for the cheese course at that point. The cheese course for 2 was about the size of a 1 person cheese course at Aurora in Leith. The servers were very short, didn't explain the dishes well beyond what was written on the menu, and not very attentive. The place was very loud despite it being a small room. They also didn't do anything at all to acknowledge our anniversary (not even a 'happy anniversary') which I made them aware of prior to our booking. I also do not drink often, and when I asked, they said they couldn't make any mocktails. The only somewhat interesting soft drinks they had apart from the usual coke, sprite, etc. was either elderflower or rhubarb presse which was just fine. My partner and I didn't even stay for coffee, and they ran out of fudge. The dessert course was so poor that I didn't even finish, and I ALWAYS finish dessert. It took over 2.5 hours without the coffee and fudge and with us eating VERY quickly. Safe to say we won't be recommending Wedgewood. It was immensely disappointing and didn't at all deliver on what we thought would be a special evening.
First time ordering from this establishment and by god it was absolutely out of this world beautiful. Will deffo be ordering again. Best chinese in rotherham yet

Not been for years. I gave it a go as we're temporarily living in Sale again. Sadly, the food was terrible, Satay chicken like nothing I've seen or tasted before, BBQ ribs that were lacking in flavor or tenderness, even the salt & pepper chips were binned after a couple of mouthfuls. Stale prawn crackers rounded off a totally forgettable experience 😫
We stopped here by on way from park for quick tea. The food is delicious staff are friendly and it is also halal too. 10/10 we will definitely be back

Juicy tender chicken - chunky fillet burgers and a tasty batter. I love their food and visited 3 times already in the past week... definately worth a try. But if you cant tolerate spice dont go for their burger.
You know what I was a little hesitant to give this place a try after seeing the bad reviews but actually it was pretty decent, I got a milkshake too and it was quite nice. The guy that served me told me he was the bosses brother and he was a cool guy 😊

absolutely banging food! portions are great sizes and the value is unreal. my partner and I aren’t from the area so we thought we’d try it on a whim and we both have full bellies right now - thank you!
The food was absolutely amazing and it wasn't too spicy but they only accept crash and I suggest to use card and cash to do both payments. The atmosphere is just you're just in a shop there with a black walls and their food on the walls and the service was pretty good.

I totally love this star fish bar I order from here last week and my niece bought back home some of the star fish bar chips and southern fried chicken. And there chicken was really nice but there chips are tasty and delicious. I will look forward to coming back to star fish bar chippy.
The food is 100/100, the quality of the ingredients and the detail being put to the food is amazing. The only room for improvement is the service: the staff are attentive and friendly, however they explain the ingredients super fast and drop food on the table multiple times when collecting plates, which feels a bit casual and unprofessional. Overall this restaurant is definitely a gem worth visiting again!
Definitely a subjective one. I haven't tried the actual food, only the desserts and they're alright at best, very sweet.
Had the Crispy Chilli Beef. Literally no beef within the pieces, just crunchy batter, which tasted fairly unpleasant.

Very rude delivery driver told me he wouldn't go up 12 steps to delivery my food. I told him I had a knee injury and its not like its a multi storey block flats he said its not his problem. Call the restaurant and guy laughed when I asked for refund. No customer service. Will not return.
I’m so sorry, I try to never make bad reviews, even if everything is not so good, but this situation is exceptional. I ordered mixed kebab and had the baddest food poisoning in years. I’ve eaten less than a half of portion. After keeping other half in a fridge overnight, smell was coming bad from it and I throw it in a bin. I spent most of the day in WC and lost today’s shift.
We bought 2 sausages with batter which once unwrapped at home and on the plate were stone cold (we live 2 minutes away) The potato wedges had a wierd fishy taste and the chips were soggy. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but we didn't enjoy.

I went in when it was full so a few people waiting on fish it soon cleared even with the guy working alone then he put the perfect amount of salt and vinegar on all our chips like he's just perfected the right amount and chips were lovely

Ordered from here a few times. Was a bit hit and miss on the odd occasion, with getting our order right. But nevertheless we ordered Saturday night (17th Dec ) for 7 people and they got it spot on! 👌 was perfect. We all said how lovely it was. I always order the chicken and lamb mixed shish. Hi it's very nice food but one again was freezing when it turned up. So when you are ordering from here make sure you have a working microwave oven at home, and factor in the price of electricity.
It is a shame to only give 3 stars for 5 stars food, but we have phoned them before about this and again the food turns up not hot.
But I guess this is simply the way of the World at the moment.

Unfortunately it is a five pound minimum order for card payments: in a day and age where you can buy an ice cream from a van for one pound, it’s pretty pathetic for any business to set a minimum payment limit. Lucky escape from the looks of it thought as the chips being put into the fryer were cheap frozen chips!

A delicious tasting menu showcasing some fresh local ingredients, cooked well and not trying to be overly fussy for the sake of it. The highlights for me were the pork belly and scallops. A comfortable dining room and generally decent service, though it took a while to warm to our waitress who was quite cold on arrival, almost bordering rude - it also felt like there were some unresolved issues between the wait staff but they tried to keep it behind the scenes. This is mostly the reason for knocking off a star. We were seated close to the door which was quite distracting with the traffic in and out but was fine otherwise. A good wine pairing too, will certainly recommend if you’re looking for a nice evening trying some fantastic local produce.
Got crispy shredded beef for £6.40, there was no beef! Just beef-flavoured batter with onions. Disappointing because it’s usually nice here, and for that price I would expect a decent amount of meat. Noodles were good though (hence 2 stars instead of 1)
The food I just bought was disgusting, the chips was rock hard and cold. Kebab wrap I had was full of copious amounts of grease. And the chicken meat hard my daughters nuggets was not even Edible.I would recommend that the place should shut down with there standards of food they are putting out.

Absolutely shocking I order a Netflix and chill for two at 8.30 pm tonight and I'm writing this review at 23.27 and we still haven't recieved the takeaway and the restaurant shut at 11pm. Between me and my friend we rang and rang and rang and no one answered the phone. They have took the money out of my bank. I will be going up tomorrow as soon as they open im absolutely fuming with the service etc and will definitely not be ordering again. We normally have amazing service from here but tonight we have had no contact from them no one answering the phones and no food turned up 😡😡😡
First time tonight we haven't had free prawn crackers. Ordered food including delivery of £27.20 but now to get free crackers you must take off delivery charge and old meal for one which takes it under £18. Very petty considering cheap price of crackers. Lost a customer on principle.
This place should be called minging! It’s really gone down hill Fri nights seem be the worst. I think they cook off a lot of chicken balls and have them hanging around. Had a spicy chicken burger meal, £5, plus £1.50 for the worst chicken gravy sauce I have ever tasted from a chicken shop. The burger itself was nice, chips good too, nice chili n mayo combo sauce, but honestly this chicken sauce even smelt so bad it was making me sick so I covered it up. Cmon boys decent burger but you letting the side down with this disgusting gravy.
I’ve been here three times, apart from the beef chaomein(fried noodles) I ordered was too salty, the food I had for the rest of two times are pretty nice. And the staff is really warm welcoming and friendly, brilliant service. The only drawback is they take cash only, a bit inconvenient. BTW, I love the mini vegetable spring rolls very much, I always finish them before I remember to take a photo of them. A portion comes with 6 of them. It’s a nice place for Chinese takeaway!

Normally my first choice in sale for vermicelli but tonight it was mainly plain noodles! AGAIN 😩 I have had the same problem before so I now tell them on ordering like I did tonight but... I called after receiving it to tell them it was plain again even after letting them know when ordering, but my response was what you want me to do? You have it now 😡

I Call for a delivery, they told like about 40 min and after 1 h and half waiting we call again because my toddler was crying hungry and they said to me that the food was going, so I wait another 20 min when they said that the driver already left and we are about 6 min from the shop, so finally I cancel and went to McDonalds. Really bad service because the normal thing is even if you cancel to send the food but even better that they don’t send it for free because after reading the reviews now maybe we could all get sick.
I ordered a crab meat soup and it isn't crab meat it's crab sticks which are called seafood sticks all they are is seafood flavoured sticks and have no crab meat in them at all. Iv always orders from you and never had an issue until now

Second order in a row that has been unsuccessful. First one in November had to be cancelled on Just Eat by us because it wasn't accepted after an hour. Tonight's was cancelled by the restaurant. Customer lost for good. Absolute joke to offer online services then leave customers disappointed.

This place offers many things, but the main problem is that there is no stuff to produce those goods. And the pizza 1/4 was good, the first time I brought from here it was good, but then they messed up with the ingredients and it wasn’t decent. Recommend this only in case of emergency.
Honestly probably one of the best take outs I have had for months, food arrived early. Ordered quiet alot of different things and not a bad lot in the bunch, I will say if you like sweet potato fries then get those over the chips. And the garlic bread need a touch more garlic for my liking but everyone is different... But the chicken strips and gravey are probably one of the best I have had... Would definitely recommend just would advise to order early if it's weekend x

Absolute disgrace. Ordered food last Sunday, it was £18.80 off just eat, then a girl from China town rang me and said if she puts it through delivery and pay at the door it's only £14.50. So I agreed to this and she ensured me she cancelled the just eat and I won't be charged. I noticed on wendesday that the money has still came out of my account and I paid at the door. So I paid £33.30 for a Chinese that was stinking! I rang the restaurant to explain, and the man was beyond rude told me he was "too busy to deal with this" he also said he would ring me back 2 days ago and I'm still waiting. The way I was spoken to was a disgrace and the food was a disgrace. Absolute scam!!!!!!!!
Ordered a delivery for my mother in law at 5.20pm and she only lives 5 min from the restaurant and they told me delivery driver would not be in until 6.30pm which was fine I explained that my mother in law is diabetic and asked would it definitely be delivered at 6:30 pm to which they said it defo would be out 1st delivery so I thanked the lady on the phone and told my mother inlaw it would be delivered by no later than 6.45pm only to find at 7.00pm that the food still had not arrived and my mother inlaws sugar level was so low that she had to then eat 2 buns quickly to raise her sugar level and I phoned the china time and was told it would be leaving in 10 min so my mother in law patiently waited and then at 7 30 her sugar shot right up to 31 I tried to call the Chinese back to then cancel the food but the phone was constantly engaged rhe food finally arrived at 7.50pm. I'm very Disappointed in the service here 😒 to keep someone waiting 2 and a half hours is an absolute disgrace if they had told us in the 1st place how busy they were we would have tried somewhere else will never get from this Chinese again.
You could already make your own assumptions judging by the pictures of their food. Very sweaty, not well put together meals. The cookie dough is decent, but very overpriced for the portion size. It's also very sweet, a bit too sweet in fact. Had to get my tooth removed a couple days after eating one for the first time. Of course this didn't stop me from ordering one again a couple months later.
The food is fine although a tad cold and the honey chili chicken was a little spicier than I'm used to but the real issue is the delivery, I phoned at 5 for a delivery and they said their deliveries start at 6 which is cool. fast forward to half 7 and no food so I call them and they say the driver was late into work hes just got there and will be leaving with deliveries shortly so that's fine, I made my order pretty early and I live 5 minutes away surely he is going to be here any minute right?.. nope.. food comes at 20 to 9, honestly if they'd just told me on the phone at half 7 they were having major issues I'd of asked to go collect it.
Was the worst takeaway. Pre ordered for 3pm didn’t turn up had to ring them and not even done it said be 10 minutes. Turned up 3:45pm our pizzas was cold chips were like they had be reheated and was cold and crusty and was missing chicken wings.
Best salt and pepper chips in Sale by far, delicious food all around and always very accommodating with picky eaters. Also the delivery guy is lovely and always does no contact drop off which is super appreciated.
First thing I look for in any sort of takeaway is the Scores on the doors & the score at China Time has a 5, big plus for hygiene, clean waiting area inside and you can more or less see your food being cooked, the guys wear masks and gloves while cooking your food so that's another plus, the only negative for me is that they don't do set meals, with 6 people at home it's difficult to please everyone, but if they had set meals for 2/3/4 people they could have tried a little bit of everything, one other negative is that other Chinese takeaways in the Antrim area where you spend a certain amount they give you a free bag of prawn crackers as a courtesy, not China Time, I spent nearly £40 and didn't receive any at all, but the food was tasty and if they changed the negatives I've pointed out, no doubt that they would be the best Chinese takeaway in the Antrim Area.

Bought a tobacco Pall Mall ,it was smelling really bad and start having a headaches. Had to bin it in two days as I couldn't cope with the bad taste and constant cough.
Yesterday my wife bought me Pall Mall tobacco from Shell,she was not aware that I had to throw the full tobacco last time. Same disgusting taste, definitely they are buying fake iligal tobacco from somewhere. I asked for refund and was told that nothing is wrong with their tobacco so no returns in this case.
Not stepping in Shell anymore,very dodgy staff and management.

Have to give one star as won’t allow me to give zero, just had a £44 takeaway from here delivered to me, all of it was freezing cold, it was 30 minutes late and items were wrong, our kids pop corn chicken meal we ordered came freezing cold, two bags of skips we ordered came as 16 yes 16 pieces of monster munch in a brown opened bag, the chicken kebab we ordered came as a lamb kofter freezing cold, drenched in mayonnaise with wet soggy chips, nacho chicken burger came freezing cold with a handful of wet soggy chips, two tango ice blasts came as juice and actually only half full, the £15 sweet box we ordered came with a handful of sweets inside, we ordered from here a couple nights previous but got the £5 sweet box instead and actually had more sweets inside that one, to top it off the absolute icing on the cake when we went online on Uber eats who we’d ordered through to complain we noticed somehow they’d been donated a £1 tip from us! Will not be stopping until I get a refund through Uber eats as they’ve not been answering the phone and judging off previous reviews I’ll be ignored and they’ll deny all knowledge of it, so why argue with the ant when you can talk to the queen, disgraceful and cannot see how they actually have the balls to send out such a shambles of an order.
Never again will I order from you at night time only thing good about the order was the fact the cans were correct and freezing cold. However the food is another matter all come incorrectly ordered

And the Donner meat was so dry qe wouldn't feed the dog it.
We also waited nearly 2 hrs for it to arrive.

2 years ago: Very disappointing for the second time in a month. Never ordering any food from this place. chicken wings smelt and tasted rotten and gone off. Took them back had refund but concerned as my little and myself had couple of bites. Be careful when you buy food from here the previous owners were very honest and food tasted very nice.

This shells 5 minutes down the road from me had a lovely refurb with a supermarket chain can't think of the top of my head which one it is want to say Waitrose. Forecourt is always nice and clean, inside is nice and neat. Really nice garage one of shells better ones. Staff have always been polite.
Not a great experience when we got it delivered through Just Eat. Took very long to arrive and the food was just warm. My chips were also covered in peas, gravy and onions which i did not ask for. Menu on the app doesnt allow for any options and what you get is what you get. Will definitely visit to order in the future
We came tonight and the lovely guys stayed open while we ordered. It's the first time we've bin to krave and it was bloody amazing. Shop is beautiful and clean and the guys was really lovely to talk to will definitely be going again 😁
China Time is fantastic. You can see into the kitchen at the back. Rik on the counter always has a smile for customers. The food is very good - I tender to get the crispy smoked chicken because it is delicious and very more-ish, but I've also tried the honey pepper beef and chicken and they are just as nice. My husband says the barbecue spare ribs are awesome. Highly recommended, will definitely eat there again.
Please update your App. You basically robbed me from what your menu offers to what arrived. When I phoned all I got was sorry manager not in and your working on fixing it. But it's ok to charge me more. ALSO noticed your website needs updating too. 3 lots of pricing and offers. Thanks krave.
So i left work late they where an hour pacsed closed and still cooked up A LAMB CHOPS DINNER for me... Fully appreciated... Have been before and It's the best place and the only place I would go for lamb chops for sure ...
Just wanted to share my experience as we are all quick to report on bad service but rarely on good service. I popped in to this garage for petrol and was served by a really lovely lady (apologies I didn't get name but she was a slim Asian lady working on 9/8 at approx 16.30pm) she was polite and chatty and after a rubbish day it was nice to be so positively greeted.
The shop is a reasonable size with most of the food basics you'd expect at a petrol station.
The hot food available is of a pretty high standard and very tasty.

Ordered at 5pm for DELIVERY TIME at 9:40pm to then get a call asking if that was the time I wanted it delivered or being made. It arrives on time (hence the 1* rating, the only positive of this experience). Ordered the 'Netflix and chill' deal and the rice was cold, chicken burger burnt and fries soft and soggy. I get to the waffle where I find what I believe to be chocolate sauce but instead less than 2 minutes later I'm being violently ill due to a hazelnut intolerance and after asking Adam over the phone, he explained that it's effectively a Russian roulette on either chocolate sauce or Nutella sauce. Not put in the description that it comes with sauce on it, let alone a sauce which contains NUTS! Will not be ordering from here again and cannot wait to explain all this to the manager again tomorrow.
Delivery took a bit longer than I was told. Have to say however this was the only issue. After eating out of 3-4 places they have nothing on this place. Not greasy, warm on arrival and just well made. Keep up the good work 👍
Has most of the essential foods. Being a petrol station it's quite expensive, but if you need a few items it's not too bad. Also serves some hot food and pastries, which is a plus.
