Best Coffee stands in United Kingdom

Visited twice for breakfast one day was hot and tasty the other day was virtually cold. Very disappointing. All other breakfasts came out with beans in a pot but both days my beans were just slopped on the plate. Very inconsistent.

The guy who records my order this afternoon around 5pm made me really emotionally uncomfortable :(( I just simply said I want no ice in my drink, and he did a really “interesting” face (you can imagine). I don’t know why he did that cuz I do have own medical reasons for not drinking ice.……. just realized how offensive that is to me. A really bad experience at this Starbucks!!!

Cutlery had crusty bits embedded, cups were filthy and no teaspoons available. I ordered poached eggs on a bed of avocado on toast. The avocado was some sort of green paste which seemed totally different from what they advertise and the bread tasted stale.

However on another note the atmosphere is welcoming and some of the staff are really nice! I guess one can’t have everything!

Firstly, the elevated paving, no banding showing it it a raised shape,I nearly fell over and as a disabled person that would have been dire. Now to the actual place. After I had manage to stop myself falling by going into the glass door, I went in and was met by a mature CSA who was very pleasant and thoughtful. He was attentive. I sat with my beverage and he brought me a Cs survey receipt to fill in after. These things are a necessary evil, but they should not exist. The tea was lovely, the ginger biscuits, the nicest I have ever had. The cinnamon buns I bought later were delicious everyone enjoyed them. But that elevated portion of paving in a triangular shape is awful and something that banding to show it's there would be good.

Went on Sunday afternoon. Service was so slow. Lots of staff but most not doing very much. One till on, 2 baristas, usual Deliveroo drivers being served first and the rest of us waiting like eejits. Won’t be back!!

Popped in for a warming coffee. Place was warm but the coffee was awful. Really weak and the cookie was stodgy and tasteless. Staff were nice.

It was pleasure to spend some leisure time at this Coffee shop. Service was good, but there were not many varieties of food items.

Rude waitress. Hot coffee was served cold and staff were rude and tried to make me feel uncomfortable as possible. Only one nice staff member who was happy to rectify cold coffee issue when asked. Do not go here unless you want to be met with poor hospitality and rude overly sarcastic members of staff

Staff, especially Grace, were very helpful. Very laid back and relaxing vibe.

When I got my order I remembered why I tend to go to independent coffee shops and not these franchises... simply because franchises like this one are all falling behind on how to make nice coffee. Very weak milky drinks ideally if you are a kid and want to have breakfast but in my humble opinion not for coffee lovers.

Nice and clean. Hot chocolate hot and smooth. Just right before having an operation!!

I travel quite a bit, Starbucks is always my go to. Been to many stores, different locations, but there’s something about that one. Both drinks and food always hit the right spot. The staff always greets me with the biggest smile on their faces, very chatty, assuring the customer experience is 10/10. Lately been served by Jack and what a gem he is! Never fails to brighten my day.

I've been into this store a few times either with friends or to do some work and the staff are always friendly and welcoming, especially Josh. The only thing I would say about this store is that the doors are left open a lot, obviously something that the staff cannot help, just something to be aware of if you get cold easily!

Over-busy, ignored by staff - after waiting 25 mins for coffees that had paid £15 for, was announced to a large crowd that orders had been lost(!)
Asked for money back at till- was refused until Manager had spoken to me - had to leave due to time. - Fairly awful daylight robbery 😞

I especially want to praise Ember - who was absolutely outstanding when my daughter became ill while ordering her coffee. I'm grateful for the way you handled the situation and the care you showed. Reassuring to see those processes are in place, and Ember showed themself to be a great asset to your branch.

When I went to Starbucks today. I was served by a very lovely and kind lady named Irish! She was extremely helpful, and friendly to me! She gives amazing customer service and she all round made my day! I strongly recommend this Starbucks as the environment in the shop was clean, the staff were friendly and the food tasted really good! 10 out of 10! Thank you! :)

This is probably my favourite Starbucks in Edinburgh. It is spacious, you can always get a seat and it is well located next to Haymarket with views of trains - there's even a balcony overlooking the station which is great in summer.

I really do not know what is going on with this Starbucks. It could be a really great place to meet or work. However, it looks like it has been left in the early 00's. The decor and furniture is tired, there is zero atmosphere, the cakes are few but expensive and the service (having visited several times before), swings from friendly to "couldn't care less"

Supposed to be a big breakfast looked like it had been kept warm for ages rolled up crispy bacon over done sausage

Lovely staff and clean seating area. I went early in the morning and people were merry and got my order quickly.

A shout out to one of the staff members! My coffee was originally made incorrectly and a super sweet server, Alex, went and remade it and brought it back to my table. I was also visibly upset about something that had happened earlier in my day, and she was really kind about trying to make me feel better :)

Heard they did a great breakfast from our grandson and not disappointed. First visit since store rdfurb. Lovely breakfast( see pictures, friendly helpful servicemen fton young lady in her first week and did us proud. A mere 5 minute wait. Fried Eggcooked to perfection, really nice sausage, hash browns , free butter and toast. Serve yourself coffee machine. Great value- we will definitely go again after early morning school run( security guy at the door very welcoming, courteous friendky and pleasant ) loved the crockery- love thd lipped plate, wzbt one- photographed thd make and model

It's great that you can get an all day breakfast late in the day. Service I encountered was lovely. This would be a much more inviting place if it was cleaner, warmer in temperature, and if the coffee machine provided hot drinks, not barely warm.

Absolutely dreadful service - if any of the staff had a brain cell they’d be dangerous.

Far too much messing around with deliveries and absolute disregard for anyone actually eating in the cafe.

No apology, no concern. It would be easier and quicker to go and lay the egg for the breakfast yourself

Bad service. Horrible coffee. Dirty tables . Dirty toilets with no toilet paper. Disabled toilet out of order which should have been immediately rectified to comply with legislation. This branch let's down the Starbucks name.

I will never use Starbucks again & will recommend to everyone not to use them.

A grim experience for both of us.
Hot Chocolate was obviously made from instant powder, yet commanded a hefty price, and came in a paper cup.
The 'cheese' straw was a soggy limp experience, and the Pan au Chocolat was no better than Lidl's but 5 times the price.
No surprise when you see the staff going to the nearby Gregg's when on their break - we should have done the same.

Something has happened to the level of demands of Londoners. 10 years ago, Starbucks still had a vibe. At that time coffee and hot chocolate came in real cups and even looked the same as in the advertising pictures. This is still the case in Finland, for example.
Now the service was busy and the coffee and food were delivered to the dirty table in cardboard and paper bags. Goodbye Christmas mood when the hot chocolate’s cream has flattened under the plastic lid.

I used the little Starbucks on the upstairs bridge link in Leeds Station today. I was flapping and anxious about my journey and times ect and the staff working were absolutely lovely. Super helpful. Not annoyed by my anxiety making me a bit ditzy with my order just super kind. My food and drinks were lovely too but mostly I just wanted to say how fantastic the service and kindness was.

Poor service. Staff were either on their phone or wandering around. They'd missed the drink when putting it through the till which meant we were charged for the meal when kids are supposed to eat free. We were not told about the snack either that was supposed to come with it. When we bought it to their attention, instead of going through the rigmiral of refund we just asked for the chips that we actually asked for when ordering. They then tried to charge us for these on two occasions. In the end we did not get the chips,nor the refund.
All of this could have been avoided if they actually had training to use the till, trained on what goes on the plate for each order and a bit of staff discipline!

I ordered a roast dinner from here off Uber eats. I put on the notes ‘no peas please and extra gravy if possible’. Because I didn’t know if they pre plated with the gravy or it came separately and well I didn’t want a stingy amount pre soaked into my food. They acknowledge this request on the receipt by writing a response. However they ignored me and added peas hidden under my mash. I have a legume allergy and it was mentioned pre gravy and response meaning they seen this request. I also ordered a Tropicana. The driver made me aware there was none and again it is written On my receipt. however they didn’t think it was worth their time to take it off the order electronically as every other place would and has in the past, so I was charged for this and did not realise until after I reported my meal and I cannot currently add to that complaint. Jokers

Took 2 grandchildren after school around 1545hrs, ordered at self service, young lady delivered the food, which apart from the fish was cold and looked anything but appetising , sent granddaughters peas back, they were hard and discoloured but no replacement offered, overall very disappointed even with the grandchildrens meals being free you expect something edible
Only saw the one server who didn't seem to know what to say or do so instead ignored our concerns
Worthy of note that table next to us with elderly couple were also complaining that their meal was cold
We won't be taking our grandchildren again

Great choice of snacks to enjoy before or after a nice walk around Eastnor. Seating area. Toilets. Free parking. Dog friendly. Love walking here, especially when you have a nice even pathway for the majority of the route, during the more inclement weather we get! Other local walking spots are so muddy !

Amazing hot chocolate with lovely scenery the staff are always very welcoming and always ask how your day is going

I always thought it was good here. I think the staff are good. I have no issues with them. It gets really cold here though I mean people always leave the doors open so you have to sit with your coat on. It has been like this for a few years now and I think the doors need fix so they auto shut. Just a shame some people are dumb and don't shut it behind them. The toilets are grubby, gotta admit that's people again, and beggars coming in stealing drinks seems to be a common thing in Nottingham these days. The place can be a bit messy with people leaving drinks behind and the staff there seems little of them so it's understandable if they can't clean everything I try to go elsewhere like Dunkin donuts as it's warmer.

This Starbucks is nice compared to others, it’s a bit more modern looking with some comfy seats. There’s decent space to bring a laptop as well which is handy!
I tried the toffee nut latte last time I was here and defo not worth it, would not recommend, but their normal coffees are nice. Just a bad choice on my behalf!!

I normally go here to get some work done while sipping on freshly made coffee. It’d say this is the best Starbucks in Edinburgh according to the consistency of coffee taste.

I absolutely loved the recommendation from Antonio to try a blonde roast instead of my usual — a caramel oat iced latte with an extra shot of espresso and 2 extra pumps of syrup. I've not seen him before, maybe a new hire, but this drink was so brilliant I ordered a second one (which I usually don't — I have a thing about saving money).

The atmosphere was perfect for studying, enough background noise to be comforting yet not distracting, and the location means this place is never very messy or loud. Definitely my favourite Starbucks in Leeds, as all the staff are lovely and welcoming.

We had a blast in starbucks as we met Agatha, who served us today with her recommendations. Got great drinks and we spent our time well chatting with friends in a good atmosphere Starbucks. Not crowded and plenty of space in the basement. Will be coming back when she's there!

It's obvious Morrisons management don't read these reviews because nothing gets done.
40 minutes wait for food.
Vegan breakfast came with an egg.
Serving pots all three badly chipped.. someone's review from a year ago mentioned this and still the same..

Nicely situated in front of Eastnor Castle after a long walk around Eastnor Dear park, very good stop off for tea or coffee.

So dirty that customers had to ask staff to clean tables. Drinks spilled on floor, crumbs everywhere. Toilets were so bad I couldn't use them, as well as their being no toilet roll. Tasty drink tho.

I travel quite a bit and I must say every time i’ve been to this starbucks i’ve had 10/10 service. Staff are super friendly even through the environment itself is stressful. consistently good white mochas and if they’re all out they are patient with me to figure out an alternative drink.

Such a warm-hearted service. It was a very hot day and I felt dehydrated and wanted to buy a bottle of water but they've just sold out. The person who worked there was so kind and gave me a cup and guided me to where I could refill it with fresh water.A massive thank you to Starbucks people.

If you get the breakfast be prepared to be underwhelmed. The sausage were that cremated that they looked like a pile of dog mess that has been sitting in your garden in the sun for at least a week. Bacon was anaemic, egg was under and jelly like. Tomato was barely cooked. When I told them they absolutely incinerated the sausage they told me they have to be served overcooked for safety? They then returned with another set of completely cremated sausages.

A massive thank you to Borja for his brilliant and friendly customer service! I ordered merchandise a day early (unsure how) on the app and was told to come back the following day. I arrived at the store this morning and the item was already put aside for me in a bag waiting for me. Thank you again 😊

Employees have no clue what is going on or how to make drinks or treat customers. They took my order without telling me they were out of something and then presented me with the wrong drink saying it was what I ordered..
They are out of many things. They dont any of the cold foam creams, or the toppings for most of the drinks it seems.
Go to one down the road.

Cara makes the best Matcha Tea. Yesterday I went to another Starbucks and got a Matcha Tea and it was made horrifically however my partner got one from here and Cara made it perfectly.

She couldn't have been more pleasant and lovely as a Barista and a person. There was another lady who I'm really sorry I didn't get their name but it really seems that Starbucks is lucky to have some lovely people working in this one 😁.

Nicely appointed Starbucks; tidy, open, and lots of seating. Four of us went in for an after-dinner / pre-show espresso. It took ages despite a short line. The shots were harsh and bitter. Two of us felt very ill and one moderately so.

They gave me frappuccino with different name on it. Where my name is Chandan but they served me with the name Antony on it. I had to wait for long time, not knowing it's for me. Finally I lost patience and asked the staff, she replied with an attitude asking me to take the drink, with no apologies. And most importantly my drink was supposed to have coffee but this one didn't have. I had better expectations from Starbucks in treating customers.

Lovely friendly customer service, situated in a beautiful secluded part of the Worcestershire countryside. Just a stones throw away from Eastnor Castle with its picturesque lake. We weren't put off by the changeable weather. Would recommend for families looking for a day out. 🏰 😍

They have several flies in there cakes area hovering all over the food and expect to have customers eat that. 0 hygiene. Got a full refund but the attitude of not even addressing is a joke.

Absolutely disgusting. Easily the worst Starbucks I’ve been to. Saturday evening and maybe they’ve been busy but not busy now. Staff are wandering round on their phones and chatting instead of clearing up. I did wonder if we were going to get served. Seems like the staff needed to finish their conversation before dealing with customers. Tables are sticky and disgusting and I’ve never seen a toilet more filthy. Would I return? Absolutely not. They are letting the Starbucks name down badly.

Management need to sort the staffing problems out in the cafe. Two ladies working in there, couldn’t take our order because they were too busy, we were left standing in the queue, with other customers who were also getting frustrated, whilst apparently a manager was sat down having their breakfast, and must have known what was going on.

Really lovely cakes, nice people, characterful building, nice woody spot. It's a picnic area with a takeaway kiosk - very welcome for refreshment after a wonderful walk to the obelisk.

The accessible toilet was worthy of... Worthy Farm... with no water. Please, people, leave it as you would hope to find it. There's just no excuse for how it was when I went in... blimmin' Augean.

The male staff served other customers first even though I was there before them. No apology or whatsoever when I pointed out the issue. Can't be asked attitude really stinks. Where is your business courtesy?

The staff who received the order was very kind. But the staff who made the coffee with the name starting with n was really unpleasant. She put my drink on the pick-up table without calling my name. And soon another customer took my drink. I had to explain to the customer that it was my drink. The staff didn't care about this situation. The staff called out the previous guest's name, but why didn't she call my name? It's like racism. Thank you for making unforgettable memories.

All Starbucks are pretty much the same. This one in London looks like the one by my home; except they have a downstairs area at this one. Oh - and this one is across the street from the British Museum. So points for that.

Very rude staff member. Got here at 06:58, the door was open. I was told that they weren't open yet (literally 2 minutes until they did). I was made to wait outside in the cold for no other reason than some awful woman's power trip. If you are closed, make sure your front door is closed! Walked to the local Cafe Nero instead for a much nicer experience

The only star I can give this is for the staff but they really need to take a look at their environment, it's a mess.

Was very happy with the service and a pleasant staff member whose name I didn't catch. It's amazing how much a nice staff member can make your experience so positive. And the mocha with whipped cream was pretty good too.

Edit: I only dropped one star because the internet didn't seem to be working both times I went there recently which kinda sucked.

Second edit: 11 months later and the internet seems to be working perfectly now, so back up to 5 stars. And the supervisor does a great job.

I called in for something #glutenfree for lunch. They only had bananas and Starbucks gf fruit and nut bars. I thought they’d be dry but they were nice and moist. The bananas were fresh and on the greenish side which I prefer. When they’re green they’re lower in sugar and easier to digest if you have IBS. I had a Chai Latte and it hit the spot too, so all in all it was a successful visit for me.

Great for a lukewarm breakfast. It used to be great value. Glad my toddlers meal was free to be honest. And I'm sure they can afford new pots for the beans. Chips all over the bowls. The service was quick though. The bacon looked see through. Meh.

Frequenting this particular branch, I have yet to have a bad experience.

The size of the store is deceiving, there being another area through the back to sit down.
The front of the store is immaculate and modern looking, with comfortable seats and tables.

The staff are always really pleasant and helpful; definitely a credit to the company. The speed of service is really great as well, better than most establishments.

The building itself is situated at the entrance to the new St James’ Quarter, so a great place to visit before, during, or after your shopping.

I think I am getting addicted. Has a person, never use to like coffee, but I now get to buy this twice daily. And the chocolate croissant!!! It is delish!!! Very tempting

This is a nice store. Their frozen drinks were very nice, and this place has a nice and quiet feel. I’d come back here.

Sadly food quality is going down hill at Morrisons Cafe, lasagne and salad for nearly £7.00 was a joke!
The lasagne tasted like one of the shop bought cheapest range microwave meals, rammed in a silly shaped dish no doubt to hide the size of the portion, and a few green leaves for the salad.

Lovely little Starbucks on the footbridge at Leeds Station.

Is usually pretty busy, as its in a train station, but my drink always arrives quickly, so it's never a problem for me. Just make sure that you leave plenty of time for yourself if you have a train to catch.

There is also a large selection of snacks, despite the small size of the shop itself. The drinks menu is also pretty big, with lots of choice. There are a couple of tables and chairs overlooking the rail lines, and more chairs along the walkway.

The staff are always lovely and friendly and provide great efficient service! 💚

Situated right in front of the British Museum, quiet and spacious in the morning. Perfect place to wait for the museum to open. Staff were friendly and efficient. Had a pretty pleasant visit. I would definitely use again.

We ordered 3 sandwiches to take out 2 were as ordered 1 was wrong . The touch screen order pad asked if we wanted butter which we did but we never got any the sandwiches were just lumps of cheep white bread and not even cut in half .it's a cafe l will never visit again totally rubbish

Very dissapointed. The only large table was filthy so had to clear it and theres nobody on hand to wipe it down. The drinks from the hot machine were lukewarm. When i managed to find a staff member to tell he just looked at me daft n said oh and suggested using hot water to top up out of machine which just watered em diwn. They werent busy so theres really no excuse. Had to rattle through the cups by the way to find clean ones. Its really put me off coming again, and we have been here a few times in past. After decimating the local coffee shops in the area it seems the business is either unwilling to cover the cost of their staff or the staff are unwilling to offer service to their customers. Biro-on-a4 scrawled signs of 'closing early' with locked doors have become a familiar and regular sight which is particularly frustrating after being chained in front of a computer all day. I shall be avoiding like the plague when other options reopen. I must say the staff manners are a redemption as they are usually friendly and happy to serve, if you can find the establishment open that is.

Yeadon - Was absolutely rancid. Got ultimate breakfasts and everything was cremated except the egg which I asked for well done but came snotty. All orders were missing the black pudding which they should of come with. All it tasted of was grease! Had a mouthful of the food and left the rest. Will not be going back to that one. Wouldn't even give it 1 star!!

Always love Starbucks . This one is right outside the station in Haymarket . You can start with a nice coffee Incase you are here for shopping . Plenty tables which are cleaned often to have a neat ambience . Charging points all around make it a bonus . Staff here were friendly and always had a smile on their face . Sat here with a coffee and some food getting my phone charged while my was hopping around shops .

Usually one to like Morrisons Cafe but was not too impressed this time. The staff were helpful and friendly as usual but the food wasn't so good. The hash browns appeared to have been over cooked, left to cool then heated up again , I got fried bread even though I asked for toast and the toast I got was black. Maybe their usual cool was off sick.

I popped in for a quick Lunch with a friend, I paid approximately £7.50 2 lunches including teas. The lunch was a sandwich platter with chips, great value, the cafe was clean. The interaction at the til was functionary and acceptable. I waa pleasantly surprised by the price and quality, mors than satisfactory.

The staff there are always pleasant. The tables are regularly cleared and clean. As it's a supermarket, the food isn't anything very special but there is always a good variety of dishes, and well priced. It has many tables, high chairs for babies, and is a welcome break when you just need to put the brakes on and let the world go by.

It’s the best option if you have gone through the barriers and waiting for a train.

2 meals and drinks offer for £6 each . Staff were very helpful and pleasant. My vegetarian meal was very nice and reasonable value. My husband's scampi was watery , tinned peas were off putting. The aircon was on and we were freezing. The coffee chosen had run out. My husband wished he had gone to Wetherspoons.

Der Starbucks, welcher nicht nur mit seiner zentralen Lage, zwischen Altstadt und Neustadt, sondern auch mit der Gestaltung Punkten kann. Das Angebot ist für Starbucks Üblich, das Personal ist dafür aber sehr Kompetent und fungiert zusammen sehr gut und schafft es Arbeitsabläufe schnell zu erledigen.

Small Starbucks right near the exit of Old Street underground station. There’s typically a morning and lunchtime rush as you would expect, but note they often forget about mobile orders, so ordering in-person can be faster. They also seem to have a high turnover, so inexperienced staff frequently make errors with orders. The food selection is decent with lots of sandwiches, but the stock dwindles later in the day. There is very limited seating in the cramped back of the store and the restroom requires getting a key from the counter.

Clean and plenty of seating at lunchtime. Friendly staff and quick service. A good coffee shop experience even though I drank tea.
