Totally unsatisfactory. Ordered a taxi for my elderly mother to take her to a restaurant for a birthday lunch. Gave the name of the restaurant when booking. Apparently when the driver picked her up he did not know the number of the restaurant. Obviously she didn't know this either. Slightly panicked my mother asked to be taken home. Surely the driver could have checked with the dispatcher the address of the restaurant? I then get a notification that the journey was completed. You can imagine my distress at this point not knowing what had happened. I had to call you to check why my mum was not at her destination - where we were. Took a call to your driver to sort out what had happened. You need to sort out your comms with your drivers.
I had prebooked a return journey with Capital Cars for during our stay in Edinburgh. Both taxis arrived on time and the drivers were polite and friendly on both occasions. I was happy with the fares for both journeys. If needed, I'll be using Capital Cars again.
Great value service, received a text the day before from our driver Curtis to confirm the booking, arrived right on time and delivered us to the terminal door. Car was spotless, overall a great experience. Will definitely use again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Friendly and efficient driver but didn’t receive my 20% discount, despite it still showing on app. Queried it with customer service but had no update yet, whilst it’s being ‘investigated’. Next time I’ll ask why it’s more expensive than the app, if it happens again.
Very polite, clear and helpful person who answered the phone. Took my details correctly. Driver appeared very quickly as he was in the area. He was very friendly and got us to our destination as quick as Edinburgh traffic would allow and safely too. I always use Capital and would highly recommend.
Brilliant timing got to where I wanted to be in plenty of time. And 20% off your fare. Can't beat that. Normally I'd pay £15. Capital cars it was £11. Brilliant with the cost of living going up.

I would highly recommend.Chandresh was very friendly, warm, intelligent, and easy to talk to. Which really helped me relax as I was going on a long journey. Very child friendly he even gave my little girl a lollipop which was very kind and was such a nice touch. To say serivce was outstanding is an understatement. Great service and always quick to show up, lovely guy who was local to St Andrew’s and lots of golf tour knowledge/experience. We hired this 8 seater minibus due to being able to fit 6 sets of clubs, luggage and a few trolleys and ended up using his services for the our whole of our golf weekend! He was so accommodating for our travel plans and made our trip run very smoothly, despite scrambling around to find links courses to play that weren’t frozen! A* service, would definitely recommend and will be using when we’re back next year!
Friendly driver on our way to wedding but once at wedding we recieved a phone call to advise they were finishing at 10 and could no longer pick us up at midnight. Had to then make calls to other taxi companies mid wedding which was an inconvenience. I understand it was a short journey and maybe not worth their time, but the booking should not be accepted if this is the case.
Hired a taxi from Leuchars station to st. Andrews. Although I was late due to the disrupted train and connected bus services, I still received a warm welcome from Gregor. The short journey was wonderful and his driving skill is superb!

St Andrews Taxis is possibly the best taxi company we have ever used. When your child goes away to University and you want to know that there will be someone there to pick them up if they return to St Andrews at anti social hours from the airport, train station etc then St Andrews Taxis will always be there. Linda and James (and their drivers) are professional, friendly and always go that extra mile.

We booked this company at short notice after our flight was cancelled and we were booked on a different flight the next day. We needed to get from Manchester Airport to Liverpool Airport to collect our own car.
Very well organised, driver phoned as soon as we landed, very pleasant and courteous, good journey.
When I later contacted the office as I needed an itemised receipt to claim cost back from the airline, they were very helpful and arranged / emailed this for me. Highly recommended.

Brilliant professional service - they totally saved us when we were diverted to Manchester aiport in an emergency this week, due to the Luton fire. Driver was lovely, came to meet us at 3am and got us home in 3 hours - so grateful to them! Can't recommend enough.
Hired a taxi to take us to wedding outside of St Andrews and to collect us. We had excellent service from Gregor, lovely person. He was very helpful, friendly, very punctual and kept us informed of where he was. He even found a nearer path to pick us up saving us a walk through a wooded path in the dark. Keep away from this this taxi company,driver took me all over Newcastle I usually pay 11 pounds he charged me 14.50,when I called in office lady did know what to say never use them again

On the way back, we had a bit of trouble finding the meeting point thanks to Manchester Airports confusing parking system, but our driver kept in touch letting us know where he'd be exactly and even explained our original driver had some issues getting to us so he'd actually gone out of his way to make sure we get picked up on time. We were so grateful for that!

We’re regular customers of Picks travel. This time, it was Tony who took us to Manchester airport. We arranged an earlier pick up due to motorway delays and there was no problem doing this. Lovely 8 seater, so plenty of room and the cabin was spotless. Nice touch with free bottles of water too. Tony was friendly and happily chatted away. He’s already told us it will be him picking us up on our return journey, so we know who to look for in the airport. Would definitely recommend this service.
Linda and the St Andrews Taxis team were super great to work with for the transportation arrangements for our family golf holiday. I leaned on Linda for all of our transportation from Edinburgh to our house in St Andrews and the daily back and forth to the courses each day - it all went without a hitch. We booked a taxi to and from Manchester Airport for our annual holiday. Started off well. Taxi picked us up from home promptly, the taxi was clean and the driver professional. One of the instructions for returning was to let the driver know of any delay. Our plane was delayed at Corfu airport for an hour. I texted the driver several times to let him know. He answered immediately and asked if we could let him know take off time and when we had collected our baggage at Manchester. So far so good. Unfortunately, our plane eventually landed at T2 when it should have been T1 so we had to get on a bus which took us to T1. Our luggage also had to be transported to T1 which took time. Throughout all this I let the driver know at each stage what was happening. He was fine and told us not to worry. We are an elderly couple and by this time we were hot & tired and just wanted to get home. However, just as we had collected our baggage my phone rang. It was a woman from Manchester airport taxis telling me in no uncertain terms that we had overrun our complimentary one hour and that we would be charged extra. I told her, as had been instructed, that I had kept the driver informed at each stage but she just shouted over me, not letting me get a word in edgeways. I ended the call. I was quite upset when we eventually met the driver who was absolutely lovely and assured us we would not have to pay extra. Because of time differences and giving ourselves plenty of time to collect our baggage, I had ordered the taxi for 4.30 and the woman rang me at 5.19 so I don't understand why she was saying we were over the complimentary hour. She was unprofessional and rude and we will never use them again. Shame as both drivers were great.

We (4 friends) stayed for a golf week in St. Andrews and booked the transfers from/to the airport and all golf courses with st. Andrews taxicab. All went perfect. Enough space for 4 and all the luggage. the pick up times to and from the golf courses were handled very flexible! Just give me a ring …. Thanks Chandresh and Sharon for your superb service. Really good experience with Stan. This is a family run business and you can tell it means a lot to them. Ordered our journey at short notice. Arrived on time to pick us up to take us to the airport. £70 for a return journey. Return pick up didn't go as planned but Stan couldn't do enough to get it rectified. Would recommend and will use again.
My wife needed to go to the hospital yesterday night with our toddler. We called the taxi and they said that they'd be there in 5-10 minutes. 40 minutes later, and after multiple calls to the company (they reassured us that the taxi would be there in "5-10 minutes"), she had to call another company. Premier taxi never sent a taxi to pick her up. This is really poor service and I definitely do not recommend them. Just go with uber.
A brilliant service. First time I have ever used something like this before. I booked for around an hour after I had landed. We landed much earlier than expected so I was prepared to get a coffee and wait for the time I’d requested. There was no need because the driver had been watching my flight and was there waiting for me which was great after 30+ hours of travelling. Communication was great. Driver was an absolute pleasure and so kind and the car was immaculate! Would use you every single time! Many thanks
I was due to go to the airport at 10am on Friday when we had all the terrible snow. The driver phoned me at around 8am to warn me of the very bad road conditions and offered to collect me early to make sure I catch my plane.
The driver was a very careful driver and despite all the snow, I felt safe. The journey did take double the time so I am grateful that they warned me and I managed to get my flight.

Came about 10 mins late but was pleasant journey, friendly driver , visiting the area so spoke of some places etc to visit over my 25 min journey out. Used them again to return later. Pre booked both times for I'm advance so unsure how quickly they have immediate requests

My wife has an artificial hip and we had to walk almost 2 miles in icy conditions. I scheduled a 745am pickup going to the airport and no show. Called and was told over 1 hour wait. We barely made our flight
Would not recommend - didn't arrive on time. We had booked a taxi to go to the station to catch a train. Called when the taxi was 5 minutes late and was told it would arrive in another 4 minutes. Still no taxi after 13 minutes, so we left in a car instead. Called to inform them that we had had to leave - no apology offered.
I was forced to take an expensive journey with this company as the last train home was full. All I want os a receipt for my journey so I can claim the money back off the train company. Apparently the only person who can authorise this is the manager who I'm not even sure exists. I've phoned the offices every single day and they keep telling me "he will be in tomorrow", "phone back at 10 in the morning", "phone back at 4 in the afternoon" I keep doing this and still nothing. It's starting to sound a bit dodgy now like they don't want to give me a receipt. It's for a lot of money which I need desperately.
So happy we get to connect with Chan. Today is a Sunday, there is not much of a public transportation and we had to travel to Edinburgh early morning. Called him late the night before, he gladly took our details and confirm the booking. He made it so easy for us to travel. The driving was smooth and he made it a point yo check with our pregnant friend as the road can be winding. Very considerate. Had to avail of his service again going back, and he was very accommodating of the location of where we can be picked up on our convenience . A+++++ rating. He is a superstar. He was also happy to give us a little insights of the things we see in the road. Seems like a little tour for us. Would definitely recommend his service.

It was a gratifying experience to ride in one of their cabs today. I had almost forgotten that cab drivers could actually be courteous. Castle Private Hire sets really high standards in the business.
