My Package l bought was supposed to arrive on the 15 March 2024 but it got delayed l checked the order tracker it said it Was At Stockport Central DO *This Building* instead of the 15 instead it was the 16.03.24 l recommend dont go to this place

Such restrictive hours make this a frustrating place now. A poor decision by management to clearly cut costs. Previously when I was able to get in, they've been helpful and efficient.
Wont accept debit card as id even though website says it does my driving license is in the letter I am collecting and opening times absurd
One staff member in particular is incredibly rude and shouldn't be in a customer facing role at all.
Always friendly helpful and professional, a truly essential service In The community and the staff creste a welcoming community feel.
This post office is a joke there is only Karen who gets it right 1st time its like they put extra effort in being rude to there customers
The staff at this branch are very friendly and welcoming. The issue is that its really small and the queue is always long. They can be understaffed at times. You can deposit money here as well.

Not good at all. I have a double barrelled surname and because one name was missing - despite showing bills and letters and passport and photo ID with both - she would not release a parcel, my Godson's Christmas present. If you're a local post office, show some basic common sense as my other local one uses, hence why we love them. Jobsworth, which I really like as a characteristic. It shows a real lack of ability for me. Never to return.
The service is so bad to be non existent. They clearly want to close it down. Avoid if you can.
My first visit to Hempshaw Lane Post Office! I was satisfied with the service. Delighted that they open on Sundays to cater for those of us who get time on this day to sort out their parcels and mail to send off. Extremely convenient business/ opening times!

There are two women who totally don't help. Every time I go in to send a parcel out they are very slow and alot of the time there's a problem that shouldn't be a problem . Avoid this post office if you can
Staff are always spot on and helpful however as someone who works 7.30 until 6pm I have zero chance of being able to collect anything. The opening hours are absolutely absurd. Two hours in the morning and 2 hours later on I mean what the actual hell? I missed 2 parcels, red card had zero information other than will redeliver tomorrow, great guess what I'm at work, so I download the app create a safe place, get home nothing except a new red card for another parcel for someone else and zero idea where my parcels are, not in the safe place I've requested so where are they? Absolute joke of what used to be a great company. Every depot used to have a late opening day so sort it out.

I always have a problem with this branch, there is an elderly lady who works there who is not respectful at all, she asked me to put cash in a postal envelope for something she has no money to give me, but I refused. Rude with a bad attitude and something that sounds racist.
While the post office location is convenient, the service experience was disappointing. The front desk attendant's demeanor was consistently rude, and her pace was exceptionally slow, causing extensive wait times. Despite the evident workload, there were no additional staff members, exacerbating the already challenging situation. This lack of consideration for customer service efficiency detracted from an otherwise essential service.

Lovely kind lady let a few of us customers in as they were closing to charge up our electricity keys . Saved us from a chilly night as all the other local key charge points had broken machines. Thank you!!
Having waited in a queue for 30mins to return a parcel the printer wasn’t working and along with another customer I was told to return tomorrow. The opening times are limited and as a result the queues are long and there is only one person to deal with each individual.

I first visited as the Post Office that's not local to me as the opening hours are much longer than most which is really convenient. So pleased I did visit. The shop is lovely, great variety and good quality. All the staff in the Post Office and shop are so nice and helpful. It's a lovely place all-round. Unusual today as it's not a chain, makes a really nice change. Would recommend!
I have just visited Edgeley post office and was served by Karen. She was incredibly knowledgeable and very professional. It was a fast service, no queue and nothing was too much trouble. Great experience. This will now be my post office of choice.
The post office ladies at the post are amazing, their smiles, courtesy and customer service are second to non. They are the reason why I always go there. Keep up the good work ladies.

Absolutely dreadful, won't deliver anything to our building as say 'no one was in' even though we are - every single time. Have been to the delivery office to pick up parcels who shrugged and asked me to fill in a complaints form and the manager would cal me back. It's been over a month and no calls. Their opening hours are shockingly short so I can only collect a parcel every month or so - I dread every time something is delivered using royal mail as they won't do their job properly!
I took in a parcel and wanted a signed for service. (Parcel Value £90).
The lady at the counter replied ”signed for and delivered by 1pm tomorrow is £11.95” I said that was too expensive, plus I advertised a 48hr service on ebay, so a 2nd class service, it doesn’t have to be delivered by 1pm tomorrow.
The lady said 2nd class will only cover £20 in value not the £90 value of the parcel. I replied (when I said 2nd class, I meant it doesn’t have to arrive tomorrow, not that I want standard 2nd class due to the parcels value). So, I said what about parcel 48? The lady replied “ this is £9.95” I said I will go with that service, as its cheaper. She then handed me pen & paper (very unusual) and asked me to write my name & address, I replied " my name & address is already written on the back of the parcel".
CONCLUSION
If, I hadn’t had mentioned parcel 48 this lady was acting as if bog standard 2nd class, or special delivery by 1pm tomorrow were my only options. Post Office, you need to re-train your staff, so they can explain postal options to their customers, thus offer a better service. I think the staff member knew all the options available, but she was just being selective, lazy and doesn't have the interpersonal skills to talk to someone who doesn't look like her. Her attitude was a disgrace

Karen and Bev are fabulous staff but unfortunately I’m having to give 1 staff due to the awful rudeness of the new owners. Javid in particular serves you whist constantly speaking in another language whilst speaking speaking to his wife in the back office. I had to ask him 4 times was he speaking to me as he was looking at me and rudely stated no.

Fantastic staff! Really know their stuff. I post abroad weekly and they consistently save me money , explaining to me the best service to use. They go above and beyond to help. Anyone saying otherwise about the people that work here clearly have a stick stuck somewhere on their person , and should give their head a wobble. Efficient & friendly even when serving nut jobs & rude people . Can't fault the place or staff. I would highly recommend this post office .

Needed to put some money in my account and it was 6.30pm and the post office is open till 8.15pm ish. Was going to stop off elsewhere for a card and some groceries however when I saw their selection I picked up everything I needed here. Staff here helpful and polite. Keep up the good work!
Always rude and unhelpful staff whether you go inside or try to call. Zero idea of the meaning of 'customer service'. Always huge queues whatever the day or time, 12 months of the year. Avoid this place unless you're happy to be treated badly as a paying Customer.
Sent a letter special delivery on a weekday at 2.45pm, yet it didn't arrive at Peterbrough sorting office until 7.45pm the next day. So my important letter that was sent at great expense didn't arrive for 2 days. They obviously didn't send it out that day. Terrible service.
If you only send the odd parcel you may not know the cheapest price to pay for signed for delivery, you would think they would help you ?, but no they offer you the dearest price, seen it happen a lot when waiting in the que, which for me is just wrong, especially with the elderly. Won't be using them again.

On Thursday, the 30th of June.. I decided to go into the post office to put my child savings. In the account. Which he has been saying for over a year. All in pound coins. Based in £ 20 . After waiting about 10 minutes in the queue . I was told I could only put some of it in the account. As we don’t have the room for rest of the money. In the post Office . By the way it was £140 in total. To my surprise. I just walked out and said that’s fine. I will try elsewhere

The shop is very well presented and the staff are very helpful and very welcoming. They have plenty of resources you can always rely on them. They are very highly recommended for the community.
Google shows misleading opening hours. The shop and the post office keep different opening times, which can lead to considerable frustration when you've wasted a journey to pick up a parcel based on the Google closing time of 4.30 on a Saturday only to be told at 1pm that the post office is now closed and the staff can't get into it. Trust the Royal Mail website not Google if you're coming to use the post office.

Never experienced such incompetence at a post office ... staff seemed to have no idea what they were doing. Whilst queuing (for ages) the staff had an issue with pretty much every customer transaction, most of which we’re pretty straightforward. Even my parcel, which had been prepaid online and just needed scanning, caused an issue as though they’d never seen such a thing before?!? Bizarre, I’ll not be using this place again

Please note that the opening hours are for the shop. The Post Office opens at 9am Mon-Sat and closes at 5.30pm with the exception of Saturday which is 12.30pm. We look forward to seeing you.
Thinking royal mail had good currency rates, but having paid nearly £100 for €100 is a rip off! After having a look about afterwards it seems a lot better in other places and wish I would've known earlier. Then had a look on their website and the rates are better on their website than their shop, what's this about? I could've ordered from their own website for £10 less. Very disappointed and won't be going again.
Good place to buy your food or ice creams on way to or back from beach friendly staff.
