Always good to find a bargain!
Small park but a good variety shops of gear you want to buy
Nice quiet place in the City. Free to get in if you're just using the cafe. Drinks were expensive though.
Not a massive place but important to keep these windows to the past open. Wheel was turning which was great to see and great t understand the role the mill had in helping Tolkien to formulate his vision
A large golf complex well worth a visit. Played the 18 hole course. Some interesting holes . Played in a society price was good value for money. Highly recommend

Food is OK, service isn't great and the drinks machines should be scrapped as they are as warm as a cup of tea. Not good value for money but ok if you don't have another option.

Visited Buger King. The park itself is ok. Parking is usually available, and there is a Costa Cofee, B&Q, Halford, and a few other shops.
Have many big stores for clothing, DIY, furniture, automobiles, sports, carpets and fast food with free parking - I usually find parking easily - A good place to visit in Guildford.
Good selection of shops available. The road setup could be improved however as when busy it can really jam up
We held my Dad's wake at Hoebridge and couldn't fault the care and respect from the staff. Tommy and team were fantastic. The food was very good and they lovingly set my Dad's memory table up. The funeral finished earlier than expected and they made us feel so welcome. Recommend. Thanks for everything

Had their chips cant remember the exact name had cheese and i think onion flakes on top OMG they were amazing didnt like the chicken burger with the same sauce/name but i do normally like there chicken royal so will go back to that with big big chips
Been coming here since I was a kid. Absolutely great place to learn and play golf.
Course is public but has a mix of challenging and easier holes - good test of golf for mid handicappers up. Would recommend to anyone wanting to ply with friends, afternoon tee slots are great value as well

First time visiting here. Good crazy golf section although very busy. I felt it could have been spread out a bit more but enjoyable.
Rude staff, overpriced, they asked more money from the labels. Avoid

Ladymead retail park is generally ok, with B&Q, Currys, Sports Direct, Next, Halfords, some furniture and carpet places. Handy having a Costa here too. There is currently development happening near Halfords where the old location for Sports Direct and Argos had been. So it looks like a new store will open soon.

The guy who sever me stoped harf way thort to talk to someone els who just walked in he didnt give me my change when i asked if it would be possible to get a less damged case he gave me a funny look and just said no (im not anoyed he said no even thow i dont see it being a big problem with my request im anoyed i got a derty look) he didnt seemed to be happy and seemed ok taking that out on customers and honestly if hes so unhappy in his job maby its time he looks for a new one because its not good for him are the business as now i wont be coming back would rather shop online but i try not to to keep the high streets going
Great golf range with tracer technology!
A group of three of us went (we aren't local, hadn't booked and had never been to Hoebridge before) and were really impressed with the golf driving range!
The bays had everything - places to perch for players not hitting, menus for the bar and a screen for the shot tracer tech.
The screens let you do all the stuff modern tracer tech does with full ball tracking, virtual courses, mini games and more.
The staff were more than helpful in showing us where to go and getting set up having never been before but if we're in the area again, won't hesitate in going back.

Setup to over-charge tourists. Nothing is priced and when I asked I was told £4.99 for a single 330ml bottle of beer.

Really fun mini golf course for the kids with a great kids menu in the club. Perfect for a couple of hours in the good weather.
Enjoyed a fun time on the Pirate Golf today. A great place to have a family challenge game. Such a laugh.
Sarehole Mill really is an idyllic spot in the suburbs of Birmingham. Even a few yards back from the road one can easily imagine how the mill felt in centuries past when it sat in a landscape of fields and streams. As a museum the mill is also very commendable, with educational and fun activities for children, more detailed information for adults, and the option of guided tours (although not at the weekend, when I visited) Even without a guide, there is plentiful information on display, and a very informative documentary film playing in a seating area. The museum plays heavily on the association with J.R.R. Tolkien, but I think it's justified. Photos from the end of the 19th Century, when Tolkien played in the area bring home just how rural the location still was, and its fascinating to consider that these childhood experiences and locations influenced him when he came to describe The Shire in The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings. Even if you aren't a fan of the world of Tolkien the mill is well worth a visit, as it gives a fascinating insight into the life of a working building, how its work changed over the centuries and how the landscape has evolved around it.
You can visit B&Q, Curreys, Furniture Village, Next, Sports Direct and many more store placed here. You have one Costa and Burger King. You have a Halford store too. Huge parking space.
Went here yesterday and as a big fan of Lord Of The Rings it was very nice to see and experience a little bit of the life of Tolkien as a little boy. It was small but a beautiful place, absolutely loved to learn a little more about the thoughts and inspirations behind LOTR.

I become utterly disappointed the lack of quality in food outstanding disappointed me. Due to terrible service and the loud atmospheres, I no longer shall continue going to this restraunt.
Also I have realized that the food is avaliable in stores and all of them are frozen which is utterly disgusting even though it has stated "todays fresh offer" I would expect it to be fresh.

Excellent golf resort, 3 courses Main is 18 holes par 72, really tough, very challenging, very good greens, farways, good tee's and if you are not on the fairway, rough is less forgiving. The other 2 courses are very good, Shey is a nine hole for a short round after work when Main course is very busy and Short course 18 holes par 3 is very good for improving your short game. Clubhouse, Proshop and driving range are on a high level and all staff are very friendly and high professional (I'm a foreigner here, member from 2 years and I was always treated very well and polite). I highly recommend this one!
My husband and I, being Tolkien fans, were definitely excited about doing this tour as part of our visit to Birmingham! Our initial research into the museum and the mill set us up to expect a nice tour of the mill, an intimate look into the years that Tolkien spent at the mill, and the pizza at the café.
The first two items (the mill and the Tolkien trivia) were an amazing experience! We definitely recommend this tour to anybody who wants to visit a good old run down watermill simply to see the works, or if you're a Tolkien nerd as well!
Our tour guide was Ash, and he was marvellous! The tour lasted about an hour, during which he took us through the floors of the mill, explaining in immersive detail what milling was all about back in the day, occasionally treating us to a bit of insight into Tolkien's life back when he lived around the mill.
The third aspect that we were looking forward to (the pizza) was unfortunately a big disappointment. Not only was it mediocre at best, we also had to wait over an hour just for our order to be taken! (No, it wasn't that crowded. They were "backed up" with another order apparently.)
So after over an hour of waiting to place an order (during which time we had filled up on tea and cake because we were just sitting there hungry and waiting), and then a wait of about 20 minutes for our pizza to arrive, we were quite disappointed with what we were served.
In summary: definitely do the tour and take your time exploring the park and the trail, and the mill area.

As a little weekend adventure, my partner and I decided to travel to Birmingham to visit one of the places where Tolkien had lived as a kid. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the Sarehole Mill offered guided tours, and decided to sign-up for it. Our guide, Ash, who was not only great at presenting the information but also very funny, explained the history of the mill, as well as how all of the components worked together, and helped us imagined how it may have looked and felt like when it was in use.
We loved this tour so much that we woke up early on the Sunday to do the Middle earth tour they also offer, which again made a very pleasant experience.
There is a little gift shop with books and some other products related to both Tolkien and the Mill itself, and also a little cafe with delicious pizzas and drinks.
I would also suggest visiting Mosley bog, a natural reserve near the mill, and the Shire, across the road, specially if you love trees and running water like we do.
This place made it worth the 2.5h journey, thanks so much Ash and all the team for your great work!

You find some great bargains and they do help where they can. Improved massively over the decades. Core staff are great only one working there atm who should leave his personal sense of humour at home. Buy-back options can be beneficial in times of real need but can also become a bit of a spiral to fall into. Great to buy/sell there though. Research your own best prices first then check the store/take in your items 👌
Popped in for a game controller, they had quite a few for a reasonable price of £24.99. Bit dirty but nothing a good clean won't harm. Friendly service and lots of sales assistants around ready to help.
Purchased a excellent Japanese/Chinese ornament a real standout item,it was really inexpensive price & in excellent condition, I bought it on there web shop so it had to be posted,it turned up very fast & wrapped very well

Like many branches and other similar stores, I think some of the prices are extremely unreasonable. However, that said if you are willing to look, and make repeat visits, you can sometimes find good value second hand products that are worth the investment
