A lovely camp, with plenty of shops. Cafes and coffee shop. A forest halloween trail for the kids and great pub. Fish and chip shop had delivery service to your caravan. Lovely clean showers abd toilets recommended

Fantastic campsite right in the centre of Ballater. The facilities are really nice and amazingly clean. The pitches are very spacious and right next to the river

Great site, we've stayed here many times. Lovely walks beside the river, perfect for dogs and short walk to Ballater, very spacious and relaxing even when full. The cycling event was on this weekend, lots of bikers staying there, lots of tents ( even though it was quite cold!)
A very nicely laid out campsite. With a selection of seasonal and touring vans plus fishing lakes. Really friendly staff, well worth a visit.
We stayed 2 nights on a fully serviced pitch in our campervan. All pitches are mingled between static caravans. The park is literally on Aboyne Loch and the walk around the Loch is so beautiful and packed with wildlife. A golf course is within walking distance and a cycle path takes you into Aboyne itself. Fishing is also available on the Loch, permits required. The shower blocks and facilities are a little dated but immaculately clean. You pay a £5 deposit for a key to the facilities. This site has a wonderful feel about it, highlighted by the warm and friendly welcome from Averil. A great place for a couple of nights if visiting Balmoral or Ballater.
Anyone thinking of buying a static, check out 'HOLIDAY PARK ACTION GROUP' on Facebook before spending your hard-earned money.
Nice clean site with nice shower and toilet facilities. Have to pay extra per dpg and £1 per shower which soon adds up for a family when alot of sites are free. Easy walk to Downham Market. Also have to pay for electricity used on top of pitch fees. The cafe/ pubs in the village are mostly open only at weekends.
This is a beautifully maintained site with some of the cleanest facilities you’ve ever seen and the best showers you’ll have ever had on a campsite. Unfortunately the staff are sticklers for rules and will soon apprehend you if they feel you are doing anything outside of those rules, however minor. The customer service and hospitality here is dire, no amount of cleanliness can make up for an unfriendly atmosphere.
This campsite is best suited to the over 70’s or those that want to sit permanently inside their campers, ensuring they maintain the clean and tidy look of the campsite. Mountain bikers are barely tolerated, kids even less so.

Unfortunately we only stopped one night as we had other commitments. But what a fantastic site, beautiful, clean, friendly, great spot for fishing, golf, walking. A nice steady flat walk in to town center. This site caters for all young and old.
A really lovely campsite with excellent facilities. There is absolutely lots for kids to do, with 2 playgrounds, an outdoor heated pool and tennis court. My little boy loved playing table football in the games room. There's a cafe and shop, all set in beautiful surroundings. We camped on a non-electric pitch and really appreciated the little toilet block near by which meant we didn't have to walk far at all. Would 100% recommend.
This is a fantastic family run caravan park, open all year round and lovely scenic walks.

This was our first visit definitely not the last , owners couldn’t have been more helpful , all facilities were Immaculate at all times , the dogs enjoyed the woodland walk , I took full advantage of the fishing lake and had some nice fish , thanks again

Nice caravan park but nothing around the local area. Cafe is really expensive so we drove to Wrexham for breakfast half the price. Fishing is fun. But please stop mowing the grass every day as I we dreaming about that lawnmower up and down up and down all day.

Good location, first class site good pitches ours was perfectly level. Pitch had electric water and light. Shower toilet block good very very clean, laundry and dish washing same building, As its situated on the loch fishing available. Very friendly helpful owners, did notice the static caravan owners friendly and chatty too. Plenty of castle nearby to visit, coop and fuel up the road.
Had a great time here. Site was very clean all over and very tidy. Showers and toilets kept clean. Staff really friendly and helpful. Pool was nice for an outside pool. Pitches were level and well maintained. Not noisy at night. Good facilities. Nice cafe. Overall very impressed.
Caravan site lovely, fishing good, toilets cld do with a face lift, and a good clean, from what I cld make out, lady's only had three cubicles for a big campsite, £1.00 for 4 minute shower, n no way of cleaning them for the next person, if I'm honest, didn't really take to the older lady in the shop, found her rather abrupt and not very friendly, at the end of the day we still enjoyed our self

Absolutely fantastic place,kid's from 3 year's old upwards can't be bored or they are Switch nerds!! Brilliant and great cheap bar with humble feeling

Lovely peaceful caravan park, owners are very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly site, close to Aboyne,plenty of walks to take you dog, golf cours and lodge close by. Been coming here for 5yrs now and it's the perfect getaway for recharging your energy..we wouldn't go anywhere else now.
Been to Ballater a few times previously but never stayed on the site , we had a 1 night stop over in our 7m motorhome with 2 dogs, a great site, plenty of space per pitch, clean, tidy, welcoming !
Walks locally for the dogs and Ballater Town has enough shops to stroll around, local butchers (also gr8) plenty of pubs - dog friendly too 😀
A Co-op and takeaways in the town also.

Mixed feelings here. This place isn't bad at all, but like everywhere it's just getting ridiculously expensive to literally put your tent on a patch of grass for a week. Averaged £500 for our groups. Charging extra for more kids in the same tent is plain wrong. Pool or not. It doesn't cost the campsite a damn thing whether you have one kid or 5. I also thought it was a little tight making kids pay to play pool or table football. It rained the whole week we were there so a games room is a nice idea but not when it's also a money pit. Also wasn't a great deal of space for kids games like rounders, which is what I'd expect from a Park Dean site.
That said, the toilets and showers were fine, never queued for a shower once and they were always clean and tidy. As was the site. We didn't eat on site but it was nice to see the option was available. An on site larger pub/restaurant would have been great!
Location is OK, we headed to Liverpool, Chester and Wrexham and the zoo is really close which is a plus.
My last gripe is that we paid for electric hook up but the outlets in our area were rated for 6 amps so charging a phone is about all you could do when most people bring a kettle, toaster and fridge when glamping. For over £500 for the week I expect to be able to use them, especially paying the same price as someone on a standard 16 amp outlet in the other areas of the site. No mention of this on the website or in our booking emails.
All that said, it's not a bad site at all. We've had worse, but we've also had better. The weather severely affected our week here which obviously the site has no control over but the cost of what used to be a cheap holiday is now costing the same as staying in a hotel so we'll likely pass on another £500+ patch of grass in the future and consider other options.

A lovely campsite for families that is quiet and near to local attractions. Clean showers and campsite. The cafe is lovely and has a shop next door for supplies. Outdoor heated swimming pool is great for the kids.
The best Campsite we have stayed at to date. The grounds are immaculate as are the amenities. I'm not one for going to the same place twice but Blakemere is an exception to that rule. See you again soon
Well presented site with great pitches. Nice walks from the site for the dog and only a short walk into Ballater. Be careful approaching it , don’t follow sat nav. The first turn after the bridge is too narrow, instead follow the sign further into the town for an easy route.
Lovely touring site on the banks of the River Dee. Facilities were clean and in good order. The site itself is very well maintained. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Only a short walk into town, with locals paths directly from the campsite. The site was very busy but quiet at night. Prices on a par with other sites. Would definitely return.
Amazing relaxing site with a family ethos set by Michelle and Andy. Feels like coming home each time we visit. Great pitches, clean toilets and showers. Kids park fairy wood and Fishing fab. What more can you ask for. Thank you Michelle and Andy, even though you both are run off your feet at times, you still find the time to check everyone is OK and settled in. My Grandson was sobbing because he wouldn't see Michelle again for a while.

Arrive for our first time and it's lovely. Birds are singing ducks are quacking and it's just lovely and relaxing, had a look around the fishing lake, which looks good. Facilities are good clean, 1 is out of use. More around corner though in all very very nice setting and would definitely come back..

We visited the cafe on site here and what a lovely little place. An amazing menu with some very interesting meals, I wanted to try more than one!! The staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating allowing us to swap ingredients in and out of the meals to get the meal that we wanted. They were also very accommodating of the children's needs and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were a very big group 8 children (age range 5-16) and 6 adults and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food and the lovely relaxed atmosphere. Thank you 😊
Wow, what can I say the most amazing place to stay. With rolling fields, a beautiful pond and 1st class facilities; the most amazing break we've had. I would choose Woodstock Park over a trip to Caribbean any day. The hosts were lovely and everything was incredible. Please book, you won't regret it. See you soon!
Booked to stay with friends so was half way for all of us to drive too. Highly recommended caravan park with outdoor swimming pool and cafe on site. The cafe is very nice with great breakfast overlooking the late. Both sets of toilets and showers were clean & tidy, they also don’t close at anytime like others. Team were very helpful and little shop has all the essentials inc ice slush drinks. Will deffo be back in the future
Had a booking for this site cancelled "due to operational issues" with only 2 weeks before we are due to visit. Offered another Club site but was more expensive which when asked the club would not discount even though they cancelled me. Very dissapointed with the clubs handling of the situation.

Absolutely stunning! From arriving to departure, everything was first class.
Extremely spacious pitches, very friendly staff. Clean facilities, with your own mini bathroom. Short walk to a wooded walk for the dogs. We are already planning our return trip. Thank you so much for such a relaxing bank holiday break.

Was there for 3 nights in our motorhome, very nice pitch and nice and quiet, will be back 😀
Site was good, but we was put in the extension pitches, which made going to the loo a bit of a trek. The WIFI wasn't very good, kept cutting in and out, which made it a pain for listening to music. The pitch was level and the water and waste was near by, which made it good. Didn't get to see the pool as the weather was bad at our time of visiting. All in all is a good site, but could do with an extra toilet block to accommodate those that are at the back reaches of the site.
Gem of a site, booked last minute and managed to get a serviced pitch. Site is very clean and tidy, showers and toilets kept spotless, nice little swimming pool which had just opened the weekend we got there so didn't use it but again looks a lovely clean pool area, peaceful site with no noise policy after 11pm which everyone seems to adhere to, highly reccomend this site and we will definitely be back.
Lovely place with camping and fishing lake. Unfortunately our day was spoilt by inconsiderate campers playing music too loud. We had been having a lovely time sitting by the lake fishing, listening to the birdsong and children playing when some people pitched their tents behind us and played very loud music all afternoon. Packed up and went home. Glad we didn’t take the caravan

Totally amazing site, warm welcome from reception staff, very clean and modern facilities best I've seen in a long time, flat pitches. Blakemere craft Village is just a few minutes stroll away, cracking sized dog excersise area, whole site is so dog friendly including the village pub/restaurant allows dogs inside, forest and Quarry walks straight from the site.
Lovely location directly on a fishing lake with toilet/shower block, cafe and children's play area on site. Nice pub across the road. We found tv signal was poor and as we went in November, it was rather muddy ! Dog friendly
We attended the Lion, Witch & Wardrobe Halloween trail on 31st October, it was such a great little outing.
Our LG loved it following the map & seeing all of the spooky decorations (some a little scary to her) but still loved it.
We will definitely return along with some friends & family who saw our pictures & said it looked fab in which it was.

We stayed here for 3 weeks due to house move delays. Nice clean well maintained site. Lake is very nice. The caravan was comfortable and clean. Mainly older people on site and most homes are owned so only really suitable if your looking for a quiet break
Easy to find, small pitches, staff are amazing, toilet/showers are perfectly clean, lovely walk around the loch & the site. everybody has made a big effort with there gardens around the caravans & the site it's self all trees & bushes neatly cut back, there's a small kid's play area
We loved the relaxing waterside views. Met with Mike the Manager who was very helpful.

Daleford Manor Caravan Park is 12 stars to me and more! This really is a gem of a find situated in a lovely, idyllic area. The owners including Mark and his lovely Grandfather are really nice, helpful and down to earth. Jim, the maintenance man is really nice too. The people who you meet on site are all happy and friendly. I have made friends here and that's because we all feel the same. We are all delighted with this wonderful place. It's very peaceful here and all the facilities you need are onsite. This is a home from home to everyone here. The area is outstanding and there's 3 wonderful pubs and shops within walking distance. Here again, you will meet more friendly and happy people providing excellent customer service. More pubs, shops and leisure facilities etc are a short drive away. Come and check it out! You'll love it!
Can’t fault this site, beautifully presented and in a perfect location with access to everything we need. We were very well looked after by Mark who has helped us with any questions and was always around if you need anything.
It is full of very friendly people and is a clean and fresh layout which has recently been worked on.

We had a pleasant 2 night break here and found everything to our liking - the modern toilet/ shower facilities are spotlessly clean and the whole site kept pristine.
Lots to see and do in the shopping village next door with several antique/ curio type of outlets and great coffee and cake in the square, only reason I didn't award 5 stars for our visit was I thought it was a tad expensive for a Sunday and Monday night stay in March ( early season) £65

Most of the nice reviews relating to this place are from before the new owners took overThey have cut all the trees down and hedgerows, the birds and bats have all gone. The rent has gone up by a few hundred pounds each year and they are cramming as many vans on as they can. After paying for a pitch that we were happy with we were told we would have to move to another which we were not happy with. if you have a touring caravan on a seasonal pitch, you will be asked for £500 advance deposit in october for the following season which starts in april , no receipts or mention of it in terms and conditions One poor lady lost her husband suddenly, mark gave her £4500 for her static. It’s up for sale now for £30900
2020: This cafe is completely different to the one that used to be on the site. It is purpose built, modern and airy. There is a good amount of indoor seating and just as much outdoor seating. Some of the outdoor area has a see through roof to keep off the rain and sun.
It is a perfect place to visit with children as there is a park right next to the cafe, so you can play while waiting for food. You can have a walk around the lake too.
The food is good quality and if you ask for something a little different to what's on the menu they will do their best to accommodate you.

A lovely touring park on the edge of Delamere Forest and adjacent to Blakemere Shopping Village who's eateries will deliver meals straight to your pitch. Good rail and bus links into Chester and interesting forest walks and great sunset whilst we were there.
The Balloon festival was great. If you go take chairs and snacks. Food is definitely quantity based not quality based. Great for kids ride costs around £4 per person per ride so can get expensive.

Quite a few people AV there own caravans on this site I found out .but the lady we spoke to about taking a holiday there for a week .was very nice and helpful.three or four vans we had a choice of quite a good price .but the fishermen lodge was closed I think it's better to book after they open up again because it's a shame it's not open . shopping center not far away everything u need souper market Asda if I remember quite a lot of shops cafes worth a weeks there

Took my son for his first ever fishing trip. He caught loads of roach and my mate caught an immaculate common carp. Lovely place, very well looked after. We will be visiting again.
Small site managed by the club inside Uttoxeter racecourse. Not the usual high standard shower block, this one although clean is very dated. However it's close to town and great on a race day
A welcoming venue with arguably the best bacon cobs we've experienced, although in all honesty there wasn't much argument, we all agreed that they were!
I was curious to play the course that was situated alongside a racecourse!
The course wasn't long I think from memory the yardage was something like 5,800 yards off the yellow tees so I was prepared to be disappointed. In fairness and very quickly we all found the enjoyment of the course was in placing the shot correctly and avoiding the trees situated well to add to the challenge, for the approach shot to the greens. The course was tight and some tee shots were blind shots which for first time visitors was quite fun.
The greens for the time of year were pretty good especially considering the amount of rain we've had recently so definitely no complaints there and clearly good work done by the green keepers.
Unfortunately the fareways at our visit hadn't been cut down this was explained to us as we arrived to book in and was due to the recent weather.
The course was undulating, hilly in places and as I said earlier we were preparing for disappointment with the shorter yardage, in fact the course was very well set up and after a while it didn't feel as though it played as short as the yardage suggested.
We played on a pretty windy day but we found you definitely had to give it 100% to get into position.
The Clubhouse and pro shop were small and very friendly all the members (although most of us were visiting that day) were nice and chatty. The food looked great but I highly recommend the bacon cob on arrival 😉
An interesting venue as an alternative to your home course. It's hilly in places, the course isn't long but certainly held our interest. I'm sure when the fareways are cut and cleared of leaves and on a raceday it's an enjoyable visit.

I was curious to play the course that was situated alongside a racecourse!
The course wasn't long I think from memory the yardage was something like 5,800 yards off the yellow tees so I was prepared to be disappointed. In fairness and very quickly we all found the enjoyment of the course was in placing the shot correctly and avoiding the trees situated well to add to the challenge, for the approach shot to the greens. The course was tight and some tee shots were blind shots which for first time visitors was quite fun.
The greens for the time of year were pretty good especially considering the amount of rain we've had recently so definitely no complaints there and clearly good work done by the green keepers.
Unfortunately the fareways at our visit hadn't been cut down this was explained to us as we arrived to book in and was due to the recent weather.
The course was undulating, hilly in places and as I said earlier we were preparing for disappointment with the shorter yardage, in fact the course was very well set up and after a while it didn't feel as though it played as short as the yardage suggested.
We played on a pretty windy day but we found you definitely had to give it 100% to get into position.
The Clubhouse and pro shop were small and very friendly all the members (although most of us were visiting that day) were nice and chatty. The food looked great but I highly recommend the bacon cob on arrival 😉

We've had a lovely time, with great weather, helpful & friendly staff & an upgrade of caravan. Check before you book that you're not near a car park or barrier if you have little ones, as we were, initially, & it was noisy so we asked to move, hence the upgrade. The view is amazing & the playground is lovely & new.
Stayed for two nights on our way up to York, easy to find, right inside the Racecourse, 10min walk to the town and retail park. Facilities are OK, all pitches have hook up.
It's a campsite in a race course! So it's naturally flat. You can camp here when they have race meetings but you have to book well in advance. Grass and hard standing pitches. It's a short walk into uttoxeter, 15 minutes that's all. Good facilities onsite, friendly couple who manage the site. Would come again when in the area. Not too far from Alton towers either.
We visited friends staying at the green house it was absolutely beautiful place to stay
The facilities are clean and very well kept.
The fee payable fishing lake is well stocked although we didn't use it.
There is a good dog walk (dogs must be kept on a lead).
The only thing which stopped me giving a 5 star review was the road noise. It is one field away from a busy main road which woke me early in the morning (5am). Having said that it didn't bother my husband at all.

Gorgeous little spot right on the flashes, close to town and a nice pub and restaurant on site too. Children's play area is in need of a revamp though

Me and my partner stayed here last weekend for his birthday, it was fantastic! We stayed in the ewe and ram shepherds hut, very cosy and clean, was decorated lovely for my partners birthday! The site is amazing, we took our little dog on some lovely walks! The showers and toilets and very clean! Everyone was very friendly and helpful, enjoyed every moment of our stay and didn't want to go home!! Will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends and family! Thank you again Woodstock farm!
