Absolutely friendly and helpful owners even when the river burst its bank, they were more worried about us caravanners than themselves. Would definitely recommend going there.

Excellent small independent campsite with friendly owners.
Flat hard standings, some with full services.
Quirky 'glamping' showers and toilets or for the less adventuress, conventional ones in a porta cabin which are kept very clean and serve their purpose.
Very easy walk/cycle into beautiful Shugborough Hall (National Trust) or along two canals in all directions.👣🚴
Far too convenient just across the road is a lovely farm shop and restaurant with lots of nice things to eat, drink and drool over 😋🤣
For shopping there is a small Spar nearby and a nice pub.

We parked our Motorhome at the camping ground. It is in an ideal location with Shugborough on your doorstep and 2 meeting canals. Cannock chase within walking distance and good and cheap bus service to Rugeley, Lichfield and nearby Stafford. Site is well run and has everything you need.
Special shout out to the lovely, friendly lady that takes good care of ablution facilities.

Lovely little campsite next to a canal with great flat walks in the area. Short walk to a cafe and village shop. Freindly welcome from the owners. Hardstanding pitches some with water. Choice of showers and toilets. There was a bit of early morning gravel noise from the residents coming and going in cars from the other campsite so chose a pitch away from the roadway. Be aware that the TV reception is poor and trees surround the site so we couldn't get satellite TV on two pitches we tried, but mobile reception is good. Recommend walking to National trust Shrugbourgh estate and the canal side cafe.

Visited in February, and think this would be great site if visiting with your own on board toilet and shower. The quirky outside block wasn’t open when we visited which was a shame as the portacabin block really lets the whole site down - it feels like a builders site toilet block with a shower added in. I see some comments that planning doesn’t allow construction of a new permanent block, but I have used nicer portacabin loos at festivals which isn’t a high bar to beat. Great walking all around though, and the farm shop / cafe just down the street is outstanding. If you can hold it in, go over for breakfast and use their toilets!

Lovely site let down by poor toilets and showers! Only 3 ladies toilets and 2 showers for the whole site which is totally inadequate. Out of those, one toilet and shower is in a sort of makeshift outside tin shack, open to the elements, with barely any space. The other is in a portacabin with very basic facilities. Typical nightmare to keep your belongings dry anywhere, once you are in the cubicle and turn the shower on. Shame but we won’t be returning.

Lovely well kept site. Good for walks & cycling. Near to lovely canal narrow boat marina, with lovely farm shop and café. Staff are very welcoming and friendly...Will be visiting again for definite. See you soon
