Hard to find

Enjoyed a lovely Monday -Friday half term break. Lovely quiet site with amazing wildlife views!
We chose this as we wanted quiet and it's exactly what it is. Friendly staff and an added bonus of a pool if you want it.
Lovely clean caravan which is well equipped.
My son loved watching and feeding the deer.
Will certainly return.

October is one of the best times to visit for s short break away. Caravans and lodges are always clean, well equipped and the family run park is always maintained to a very high standard. You will not be disappointed.

Went here for a wedding and what a lovely place the rooms or lodgings are beautiful and we had a great time. Fully recommend this place

Fabulous and relaxing site. Caravan elderberry 3 spotlessly clean with beautiful crisp linen and towels. Have stayed many times over last ten years and it never disappoints. The swimming pool is lovely especially as you can book it for an hour to yourself. The deers and other wildlife is always interesting to watch. The owner is chatty and informative. We will be back again next year. Please stay at this site you will not be disappointed.

Stayed for 2 weeks in august 2024, we had the most fantastic couple of weeks and definitely the most dog friendly accommodation we have stayed at, we stayed in Peanut and it has a lovely secure garden with garden furniture a little table and chairs to eat at and also a fantastic hot tub where you can relax at night watch the shooting stars, the garden opens up directly into the fantastic paddock for the dogs to have a run and play, inside you are short of nothing with a great welcome hamper for humans and dogs can’t wait to get back again.

Excellent place, laid back and relaxed with very friendly staff.

Got a coffee and a nice cold apple juice after our walk.
Very nice set up.
Very nice set up.

Just returned from a wonderful weekend break at Silver Trees cottage. The cottage was meticulously clean and the space all as required, everything had been thought of and provided. Outside the glorious garden and hot tub were very much enjoyed and a highlight of the trip. The location is quiet, but a good base for.the surrounding area. The owners were friendly and accommodating and will definitely return. Highly recommend!

Perfect place to relax and to bring your horse. Lovely/friendly owners too. Highly recommended

Nice place

Idyllic! Lovely little cottage and garden. Two minutes from town. Lots to do in surrounding villages. Would love to come back.

Beautifully presented little cottage. The most dog friendly place we have ever been. Nice big paddock next to the cottage for the dogs to run in.Lovely quiet location, about a mile and a half flat walk to the beach at Cart gap. Great for our two dogs, miles of empty beaches and plenty of dog friendly cafes and pubs close by. We are already planning our next visit.

The lodge we stayed in was very clean and tidy upon arrival. The interior is beautiful and unique. It had a lovely homely feel to it. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was very spacious. The hot tub was clean and easy to use! The outdoor area was fenced all the way around - this made us regret not bringing our dogs! It would have been perfect for them. The TV has Netflix and the wife worked well with this. There is a lovely nearby pub (the crown inn). 10/10 stay, we can’t wait to go back!

Had a wonderful 60th birthday celebration in this wonderful Edwardian Manor house.

Stayed at the Manor House for a weekend. A party of 14 adults 1 child and 2 toddlers. Wow a lovely house well equipped and clean. The only downside was the large living room and bedrooms were cold in the evenings. Maybe the heating timer hadn't been changed since the clocks went back, as the radiators came on about 5am. We couldn't get the woodburner to light without filling the room with smoke ( we all have woodburners so we did know what we were doing.)so we used the fire in the smaller living room which was very cosy. The shower in the main bedroom wouldn't get hot. No other rooms had the same issue though. The aga kept the kitchen warm. None of had used one before so that was a bit of an adventure but we managed a full blown roast. We would definitely recommend it and would love to stay again.

A family party of 13 stayed at the Henhouse for a week. The property is absolutely fabulous and we all had a great time. It was very clean with a well equipped kitchen and really nice bedding.
Hunstanton and Wells are easy to get to, and we had a great day out at ROARR!
The owner popped over for a chat one day to see how everything was, which was really good.
There was a wedding on the Wednesday but not overly noisy. One of the guests had parked in one of our designated spaces but the staff were great and got them to move (the guest was vile but that’s not Manor Mews’ issue).
Would definitely go back (and probably would have rebooked but no full weeks available in August next year).

Great place

Extremely comfortable barn conversion. Very dog friendly. Paul and Stella are very helpful hosts who work hard to ensure both humans and their dogs have a wonderful time. Excellent facilities.

Lovely cottages and Swaffham is very friendly.

The most magical and relaxing place in the world. Thoroughly recommend this place to visit.

We have just had our 3rd consecutive year at The Walnut . This beautiful barn conversion is finished and equipped to an incredibly high standard and is perfectly dog friendly with an enclosed courtyard and also an adjacent secure paddock too. I mention that it’s dog friendly here , it’s also incredibly human friendly, immaculately clean and no smell of dog whatsoever, in fact apart from the supplied dog beds, poo bags, toys and dog biscuits it’s hard to believe a dog has been here !! A welcome hamper also awaits the human guests with lots of goodies and essentials alike . There is a large hot tub which is sparkly clean and changed for each visitor. The Walnut is quiet and secluded for a perfect getaway and just a short drive to local cafe’s, eateries and shops. There are walking options straight from the door and within 10 mins drive there are circular walks following well sign posted trails, or there are beaches 5 minutes drive away which are some of the most beautiful in the UK.
Stella and Paul created this beautiful holiday home with much thought, hard work and love and are fantastic hosts . Nothing is too much trouble , they’re always on hand if needed and otherwise leave you to enjoy your stay in privacy .
Thankyou Stella and Paul for yet another perfect week away with Daisy, Poppy and Fynn , Dan and I can’t wait for our next visit 💕

Had an absolutely 'idylllic' long weekend away in one of the Idyllic Suffolk cottages with friends. Customer service, location, cleanliness, gorgeousness of the cottage, picturesque views - really can't fault anything about the experience. Definitely worth a 5 star review. We will definitely be coming back.

Last week I went on a fabulous romantic getaway to one of Idyllic Suffolks cottages. It was spotless, and surrounded by lovely long walks. Would highly recommend and will be returning again soon!

Was not at all happy with the service I received and very disappointed. Booked a holiday, got there and house wasn't cleaned / front door open. Couldn't get hold of owners. Took half hour to get hold of company. Asked to be booked in somewhere else and told this could not be provided. The snug room which was advertised in the booking was out of use, now a music room. The owners could have phoned or text to explain that there was a problem, not good enough letting us drive a hour and half to a house where we had to turn around and go home. It took over two weeks to get money back. The only compensation offered was when we asked for something back to cover petrol costs etc. We were so upset and completely disappointed. The whole experience was very stressful. Do not recommend at all! I'm happy to explain. We found the property with door open and someone had been cleaning then lift. The owners house was dark and locked up . When we got hold of Charlie at this point I did not know what had happened. He was not able to come out as he was unavailable. We asked if we got half are money back and a cleaner come the next day we would stay which Charlie agreed on. Then I went up the steps to find snug room was now a music room not what was advertised. So I phoned Charlie and asked about the snug room which he explained was out of use and should be locked. At this point I asked for a full refund. We went home . The next day I spoke again with Charlie about refund and I pointed out it wasn't on about the snug room not being in use when it clearly was in the advert of the stay. This is when Charlie replied and said Iv spoken with owners they said they could have got snug room ready if I asked them. We had to ask about the 50 per cent t was not offered. It was agreed when I asked

We had a fantastic stay at the hen house. There was 6 adults 4 children and was plenty of room for us all. The barn is beautiful (but comfortable enough you for feel too on edge with 4 children!!) The staff were all lovely and the barn caters for everything you could want. Location is great as there was a beautiful walk from the barn and a longer walk to a wonderful pub. We visited the beach at Wells next the sea most days which is a wonderful sandy beach with plenty of space, lovely walks and an amazing cafe (plus a joules for any last minute beach wear shopping!!) We would definitely return as was such a wonderful place to holiday!

Just back from another lovely stay at the old post office with the family. A lovely welcome basket waiting for us. We all enjoyed it place is lovely, went out on plenty of walks and enjoyed the garden with the dogs. Enjoyed the open fire in the evening. Can’t wait to return again.

Where do i start from arrival to departure it was amazing the lodge is finished to such a high standard everything is clean and well thought-out the welcome basket was full of goodies for humans and even had posh biscuits for our 4 dogs who loved it the paddock was great our doberman loved running round like a loon in it playing with all the toys supplied as well.the hottub was great saw plenty wildlife whilst here barn owls hares deer kites spotted seals swimming and bathing on the beach lovely place friendly owners who are there but still let you have your privacy in the knowledge if you need anything they will sort it out for you thankyou for a lovely break

The Thatched Cottage, owned by Waveney Cottages, is honestly one of the nicest holiday cottages we've found. The hosts are really helpful and friendly, with good communication - they even left chocolates, crisps and wine (possibly just because they knew it was by birthday, don't want to set a precedent by accident!).
The cottage itself is cosy, clean, and perfectly imperfect as all good restored cottages should be. They've done a really nice job with the place and all its lovely beams, plus the furniture and trimmings which all suit it perfectly.
The kitchen is easily the best stocked of any I've found, so if you're hoping to cook at home a lot you'll be fine!
There's a good selection of books, DVDs and games to keep you entertained, and a smart TV.
The bedrooms are so cute. The eves of the roof lean in, which makes clambering into bed quite fun, and once you're in it's so comfy. The blue room, at least, gave us both wonderful nights sleep, in pitch black thanks to the areas lack of light pollution.
The garden is large and definitely dog friendly. The hot tub was a dream, and you'd not know there were neighbours anywhere once you're in (or any other time - it's a very sleepy village). We even had a deer in the garden one morning.
The local pub is nice, the locals were friendly and didn't mind us playing with their dogs. Diss is only 10 mins away and has a massive Tesco so shopping is easy.
We were 6 adults and found the place really comfy for our group size.

Great setting and local to lots of attractions, loved it

Lovely cottage. Very spacious, lots of room for our whole family and well equipped. Fabulous location, Swaffham is a nice little market town and the beach is around half an hour drive. Easy parking, home from home and a great base for a family holiday.

Lovely little cottage has everything you need only 2 issues really strong smelling air fresheners everywhere irritated my nose and throat had to put them outside and very steep stairs. The cottage is warm and comfortable and conveniently located to Swaffham market square where there are a variety if shops and places to eat and drink

Staying in the walnut, lovely quiet surroundings, has all amenities that you may need. Small but lovely private courtyard with garden furniture and hot tub very dog friendly, owners are at hand if needed again friendly and helpful. Only a 10 minute drive to cart gap beach, and the same to the local tescos. Many places to visit all withi a 20 minute drive.

Perfect location...stayed in our caravan on the river bank. Beautiful place and lots of space. Lovely walks from site through woodland.

Very quiet, beautiful settings

Fantastic place to stay we use it a lot with our caravan .Great walks . Great owners .

Idyllic Suffolk provide lovely, sometimes quirky, houses for long or short term rental. Sadly as I rent for work purposes, I seldom get to benefit from their stunning locations. I think I have stayed in most properties and have always had great communications from Charlie and the team. Yes phone signal is sadly intermittent in the area, but wifi always reliable. The welcome basket was always HUGELY appreciated. Recommend without any reservation and look forward to my next stay.

This was a week's family holiday. Welcome provisions were a nice touch on our arrival, as was a visit by the owners during our stay. Situated in a beautiful, quiet setting, this character house with its grounds was perfect for our time way, and we would highly recommend it.

Myself and a group of friends stayed at The Presbytery. Well equipped large property with everything we needed including a much appreciated welcome basket full of goodies. Set in stunning surroundings in the heart of Suffolk this really was a perfect place to relax and unwind. All the rooms are of good size and beds are super comfy. We had oil central heating which kept the house lovely and warm but as we stayed in late November we still took advantage of having a roaring log fire in the evenings which was quite a novelty for some of my friends who’d never experienced the joy of an open fire. We loved our weekend so much that we have already booked again.

We spent a week staying in The Presbytery - what a wonderful place! Stunning countryside, an excellent welcome package, everything worked smoothly and the house and garden were beautifully decorated and maintained. Great to be able to bring the dogs: they - and we - loved the open fires! Will definitely be back again.

Fantastic place to relax or bring your horse and ride through the beautiful forest. Would def recommend

A peaceful bolt hole from the stress of everyday life. A home from home. Comfortable bed, clean & a welcome to tea, coffee, milk & biscuits. Friendly & approachable proprietors. We couldn't recommend this more. Looking forward to returning soon.

Fab. We had 2 lovely weeks here. Standard of the cottages was great and service from the owner was also superb. We plan to book again and return.

Lovely cottage with nice garden area set in heart if Swaffham. Parking and easy access to Norfolk attractions.

Loved it. Booked to stay again while we were there.

Such a beautiful property with spacious garden! Excellent coastal location!

This place really is like heaven on earth

Too many hours.
