A family member is currently at this Care home we enjoy spending time with her being able to eat as a family, the care staff are absolutely amazing they go above and beyond treating all residents will the highest level of respect whilst being friendly and caring on a one to one level with every resident, we are able to visit 24/7 which gives the reassurance that nothing is being hidden from you. My family member visits the onsite hairdresser Claire who is always caring and attentive. The activity team are also amazing going above and beyond. Thank you to all staff every single person works so hard to provide the best possible care and living experience. The food is always of good quality, thank you chefs and kitchen staff. The rooms and building are always kept clean and tidy thanks pink ladies. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the best possible care and living experience for my Nan.

Just had the privilege of being invited to attend this wonderful care home for their Charity Quiz Night with great friends, what great night we all had, the place is beautiful, if you get an invite I suggest that you attend, it was a fun evening enjoyed by all, big thanks to all the wonderful staff who help us to enjoy our evening, it so nice to see the residence enjoying themselves. So a big thanks must go to Pippa, Stella and Darren aka the quiz master.
I am suer we will see you all again.

This home is designed better than any I have ever seen. It is so well thought out in terms of delivering exactly what is needed in a care home (for the staff and for the residents).
The environment is warm and welcoming and the home is transparently led by a philosophy that truly cares.
I was blown away by how wonderful Portsdown View is and I hope it retains it's exceptional essence as the company grows.

I had the pleasure of visiting Portsdown View today and what a wonderful experience.All of the residents were very well cared for, looking their best as they enjoyed a chat in the beautiful bistro bar together.Staff were very attentive and friendly and the manager Pippa greeted every guest and relative by name-a sure sigh of a hands on leader.
Highly recommend Portsdown as an all inclusive care home for your loved one.

I'm the new vicar for the area, having moved to Norfolk in July. Thorp House is within the boundary for which I work.
I have visited many residential homes during my time as a priest but have to say that Thorp house was one of the most welcoming I've ever experienced. As soon as the door opened, a smiley face welcomed me in, the homely feeling inside was wonderful, so wonderful that I asked about the possibility of my own father moving there. The home is a joyful and happy place to be, with many activities and services available.

I visit often, and have noted the care given by the staff. It's a holistic care, with detail given to every aspect of the individuals life and personality. From a vicars perspective, the staff not only go above and beyond caring for the residents basic needs, but their spiritual needs too , whatever their faith might be. I would like to offer my sincere thanks for doing that. You are wonderful and I can't wait til my next visit! Thank you!

I am occasionally lucky enough to join Wayland Choir who sing at Thorp House every month, we are always warmly welcomed by Marcia Hughes the events Co-ordinator and by all the friendly and busy staff, the residents always seem to enjoy us being there and join in with the singing, as do some of the care staff.
We have just been there on a lovely sunny day with the sun flooding through the windows. Thorp House has a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Had a great afternoon at the ho-down, live music and plenty of activities for the kids. Leading the conga round the gardens after winning the fancy dress competition was good fun. Nice to see the residents outside enjoying the weather and all that was going on. All in all a well organised and well executed event.

I have visited Thorp House a few times and what a wonderful place it is. All the staff are delightful and very caring and cannot do enough for the residents. Thank you for all your help and kindness

This is our local residential home and it’s a cornerstone of the community. Recently they have taken the village peacocks ‘under their wing’ and have now offered a location for the parish council owl box. They have already offered up their car park for the monthly visit of the county mobile library service to the village.

The range of activities on offer is exhaustive - and even for the younger and more able bodied, exhausting - and their Activities Coordinator Marcia Hughes leaves no stone unturned in keeping everyone alert and occupied.

Like most people, I’m nervous about ever being ‘put into’ a home - but if I ever do, I’d like it to be this one.

Thorp House, Griston care home really does look after the residents as seen whenever I visit. They have lots of daily activities organised by the team lead by Marcia.
Marcia has engaged with the village of Griston and with their Parish Council to get the care home and residents as part of the Griston Community.

Superb quality care, staff are all caring treat all residents as individuals, one to one care, every day the welfare carer organise trips out entertainment and activities. I know the former 2023/24 Breckland council chairman personally recognised this care, after a visit to remember Breckland residents

The staff and management are so very kind and professional and the home is beautiful, there is a real positive energy at Portsdown View. Everyone is always very welcoming and you feel very much at home.

We've been fortunate enough to attend a few times now for events, and to say we are impressed is an understatement.
The establishment is beautiful, staff are all lovely and helpful, and the dining room is simply amazing.
We look forward to visiting again.

Been to the home a few times. Most recently the St George's day afternoon tea. Great atmosphere and lovely facilities. We got seated with a local and Murray was great company. The tea was strong and the cakes were delicious. Our 4 year old enjoyed it as well. Especially the upstairs activity room and the cinema. Not the first event we have been and definitely will not be the last (mainly because my wife works there, so a little biased). Photos from the Easter egg hunt a few weeks before.

To all Neath House Family, Thank you isn’t enough. You all work long and hard hours and you clock in and sometimes don't clock back out. I wish I could take some of the stress, worries, pain and heartbreak from you. I wish that I could mail you a large care package of extra energy, strength, love, and compassion that is needed every day.

I would NOT recommend this home at all! We had a very sad and distressing experience with my mum in this home. Some staff really cared for the residents while others evidently did not. Residents often left isolated in their rooms with very little interaction… it felt like a waiting room, residents waiting sadly to die! If thinking about sending your loved ones here… look elsewhere.

Lovely little home, home manager and team are amazing with the people who live in the home. During activities, everyone has a really good time.

I was delighted to be invited along to Parkview for a staff wellness event. This was to give back to staff for all their hard work. The lovely manager Ruth put on a fantastic afternoon where staff could come along for a mini facial or hand treatment using the gorgeous Tropic skincare products that are 100% natural, vegan and cruelty free. Along with a gorgeous fruit platter. But what stood out the most for me was how much the staff cared for the residents. It was so heartwarming. The nursing had such a lovely feel about it as soon as you walked in, a real home from home feeling. You can tell how much love and care goes into running the home and that the residents are so happy. I would definitely recommend Parkview for your loved ones.

I am a staff member visiting the home however I am always pleased with the commitment from the team in delivering an excellent service. I do not find unexpected surprises and the staff are always so welcoming.

The management team have been responsive to change and I have assurance that the home will be successful for many years to come.

After my long term client moved to park view very recently. I have called three times now to do my clients hair I have been greeted lovely each time I have arrived and I have only meet a few staff members and they seen lovely especially Andrea I was told and have used the hair salon that is at Park view When I done my clients cut and colour and I am also offered refreshments when I have called Thanks

An excellent home, the team are so friendly and people living there were singing along to the Christmas carols playing and lights were going up for Christmas. Lovely place to live and work.

Its been hard watching my mom slip away, but the nursing home has made things such a smooth process. Home is well keep and have great staff.

I have visited an old neighbour several times over the past few months he was very reluctant to go in but had several falls he is mentally with it and needed companionship I was always greeted pleasantly and made welcome I found the home to be of a very high standard in care diets cleanliness and very impressed with all the activities they do it they have gone out of there way to help settle my neighbour getting him involved as he is quite alert the staff will do anything to hep the residents to be comfortable too I am a retired nurse and used to have my own nursing home hence I know what criteria’s have to be met well done everyone especially Marcia activities manager she works wanders with them

How this place retains a 2.6 star rating is flattery at its highest! A misleading and contrary description of the home itself, is only the start of the mistreatment and ill informed decisions made by the team here. I mirror the comments of the previous family who’s loved one was left in inhumane situations, soiled, disregarded and classed as a nuisance…. We too experienced this (and more) when lured in by the smiley management team. The elderly residents here are people who have served/ worked throughout their lives and don’t deserve the disrespect shown by the majority of staff, who would sooner hide away in the lounge eating ‘resident only’ cake, than action their duties and responsibilities as care givers… so much for the quality care and dementia friendly home!
Regretfully give this a 1 star, it without doubt should be zero!

My Uncle Paul who had MND was looked after here for a few weeks before he unfortunately passed away. He was well looked after and all the staff were extremely friendly, the facilities were great, clean and I would recommend to anyone.

Celebrated my mom in laws 100th birthday . Food spectacular .venue more like an hotel than a residential home . Prices at bar great , lots of parking spaces .staff absolutly lovely. Special mention to the chef 👨‍🍳( unfortunately his name escapes me) BUT fantastic cook and so very helpfull . Presentation and quality of food outstanding .

I visited bournview for the king’s coronation party. Wow it was amazing all the staff so friendly and helpful. Residents looked so happy. It’s a really welcoming home.

We went as a choir to sing to the residents. Such a lovely afternoon, I certainly would do that again. The building inside is magnificent. I certainly would think about going there in my retirement age. The staff were friendly and helpful at the reception area. Thank you for a lovely afternoon to the members of the choir and the residents.

My mum has been at Bourn View since Jan 2019 and we couldn’t be happier with the personalised care and love she has been shown by the staff in all departments . She tells us on each visit how kind everyone is and how lucky she is to be there. She is always encouraged to come out of her shell and to eat properly and we love to see the FB photos of her laughing and joining in activities. It really is a first class care home and we have never felt this so keenly as in the last week when she had a health scare and was admitted to hospital. The BV carers were calm, compassionate and so caring and she was welcomed back with open arms and we could see the relief and joy on her face to be back ‘home’. Thanks to all the carers, housekeeping staff , reception and management for their professionalism and genuine care for the residents.

Very nice warming place , very impressed

This is where I have lived for over 7years. Comfortable, good company, friendly and caring staff.

As a photographer, I had the pleasure of visiting Park View Nursing Home during an open day event, and I was thoroughly impressed with what I saw.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who were happy to show me around the premises. The entire facility was well-maintained and clean, with plenty of natural light and well-designed spaces that felt warm and welcoming. As I explored the different areas of the nursing home, I was struck by the attention to detail that was evident in every aspect of the design and decor.

What impressed me the most, however, was the level of care and compassion that was evident in the way the staff interacted with the residents. From the nursing staff to the activities coordinators, everyone seemed genuinely invested in the well-being and happiness of the residents.

During my visit, I was able to witness first-hand some of the different activities and programs that the nursing home offers. From exercise classes to music performances to arts and crafts, there was always something engaging and fun happening for the residents. One of the highlights was definitely the live performance by a singer in the lounge. It was heart-warming to see the residents gathered around, tapping their feet and singing along to the familiar tunes. The singer had a great energy and a beautiful voice, and it was clear that the residents were thoroughly enjoying her performance.

I also got a chance to meet quite a few of the staff including the catering team, and the chef responsible for the food that was made in-house.

Overall, I was truly impressed by Park View Nursing Home, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality nursing home. The level of care and attention to detail that is evident throughout the facility is truly exceptional, and it was a pleasure to capture some of the moments of happiness and joy that I witnessed during my visit. The variety and quality of the programs on offer, coupled with the compassionate and caring staff, make this nursing home a true gem.

Park View nursing home failed our family at every level during our experience here. There were clear issues which we tried to address with the home. When this failed, we sought the advice of safeguarding. As a result, the home served our loved one notice rather than trying to make the necessary improvements so that basic care and hygiene needs were met. My only advice is that if your loved one has less mobility, this is not the place for them. Be warned, if you voice your concerns, they will tell you to leave rather than working with the family to improve the quality of life for the resident. One of the biggest red flags was that we kept having to inform carers and nurses of medical issues, which should have recognised by them as being advertised to have 24 hour EMI nursing. An undetected UTI even led to the discovery of sepsis in hospital, showing the dangerous level of neglect that occurs in this home. It is time for the home to accept responsibility for their shortcomings and make it a better place for all who live there.

Your events Co-Ordinator has left.

Please do not try to cover up your mistakes.
I am giving an honest opinion about this home to save others from the heartbreak seeing your loved one left to deteriorate and end up in hospital with sepsis.

So yes we are angry the way our loved one was treated in your so called care

I visited Bourn view recently and was given a very warm welcome. The home has a lovely elevated sunny position and beautifully designed boutique style facilities. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the home was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. There was a wonderful atmosphere in the home with many of the residents engaged in conversation and enjoying some of the fantastic well being activities provided. The bistro area was a hive of activity with residents and their families enjoying home made cakes and freshly ground coffee in the sunshine on the patio in the lovely courtyard garden. A beautiful home with wonderful staff and fantastic facilities.

Neath house is a lovely and welcoming place. The people who live there feel at home, you can tell by the smiles on their faces when you visit there. I usually visit there just to interact with the people and its a homely feeling. The team members and management are all wonderful. I would recommend the home at anytime for your elderly ones as am sure that from what I have seen and heard, they will be properly looked after.

Looks like a lovely park

Abbeyfield house is an independent living accommodation for the active elderly. You have your own rooms within the house but also share communal areas, such as there is a living room and a dinning room and a utility room to do your laundry. There is a housekeeper that works there during the day who will provide you with a cooked lunch and and evening meal 7 days a week, there is also a lovely garden to enjoy.

It is nice to Live there the staff are very friendly and clean as well

I have been working at Bournview for over 2 years now and I couldn't have wished to find a better place to work. We have the most amazing residents, families and staff!
Throughout the difficult times we have been going through with the current Covid pandemic our care staff, ancillary and management, including head office have been amazing and have gone above and beyond to protect and look after our wonderful residents. Very very proud of them all and an honour to work here.

Went for a craft fair. Amazing atrium space ; it feels like a massive hotel. Talking to the people who live there they obviously love it. On the day we were there there was a brass band; actually I think they were part of the cbso so calling them a 'brass band' is doing them a disservice.

My father has been living here for some time now and he loves it. He’s always happy with those who care for him and I have never worried about his care. The staff are friendly and do an amazing job.

I recently visited Bournville Gardens to meet family and friends. The facilities are truly wonderful. The reception atrium is spectacular and reminded me of a high class holiday resort! The staff were very friendly and the food and drinks laid on for the event were very good. The gardens are beautiful with a greenhouse for residents to grow their own plants. I was amazed and a bit envious of the wood work and metalwork workshop. Everybody seemed very relaxed and happy - this facility seems the ideal place to retire!

Amazing place. Wonderful setting. Main foyer looks like a hotel. I would love to live there. A gorgeous place plus lots of activities. 🙂

What an incredible staff they have here. My nan is a resident here and we are at the end of life stage, every member of staff has been extremely accommodating and we could not ask for anything more as a family. Thank you so much for making such a difficult time that little bit easier. You are all amazing.

Seems like a nice place for elderly people. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The gentleman we were visiting seemed to be really well looked after and comfortable here. It's difficult to find your way around easily as the home is in large converted premises and you need a few visits to get your bearings. There are limited parking spaces for visitors however it's easy enough to park close by if the car park is full.

Beautiful nursing home situated in rich area! New decorations and the refurbished view of the home is really look amazing. I would strongly recommend to go and view the place. Absolute beautiful home in relaxing peaceful area.

The residents seem to be happy, Staff just let me get on with it and were help full when asked anything.

My mum who has dementia just got back from a weeks respite in neath house .she really enjoyed her week stay there .Paula the manager lovely helpful lady as we're all the staff I met .thankyou all for making mums little holiday perfect xx
