Lovely gem of an arts and crafts shop hidden away on Hiltingbury Road in Chandler's Ford. In here, you will find something for everyone who loves crafting. If you need thread, yarn, paint, glue, a length of ribbon, a textured art pad - anything you can think of, they probably have it here! They even have macrame cord, which I've not found elsewhere!
Bigger than it looks from the outside, it also has a small art gallery and offers a picture framing service ( we've used that a few times for framing pictures, prints and embroidery over the 12 years we've been coming to the shop)
The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and sometimes, there's even a cute dog to pet!

We received a first class service here with an extensive selection of frames to choose from. The assistance deciding on frames was really helpful, there's a lot more to it than I realised so the expert opinion was very much appreciated and super useful.
It's not just about frames here either, the choice of glass is also a great touch and really helps make those special pictures pop out a little more and stay well protected. You just have to experience the 'magic glass' to believe it, it's a little mind-blowing and has made a massive difference to two of the three pictures we have had framed here.
Prices offers good value and the expertise here is great added value, thank you so much for helping my amazing Colin Castle prints look even better than they did.

I love this shop because its just like IKEA and it has everything you could ever want in there. Highly Recommended
The low score is because the shop assistant charged me twice for the goods which I didn't notice until I got all the way back home. I emailed the company which told me to go back in store and sort it. As its a 20 mile drive which would take about 45 mins or longer depending what time I set off and the overcharge was £3 (x 2!) I've decided they can keep it as it would cost me the same in petrol than go back to collect it.
My go to happy place ... haven't done any lessons but often pop in to browse (and inevitably buy) and have a coffee.
Such a great little shop to explore. It has lots of quirky little items that you never knew you needed and would make great gifts. We were shopping for stocking fillers for Christmas and it was perfect. It's quite cheap too.
Great place to learn and practice. Lovely environment. Cosmin is a fabulous teacher - super knowledgeable and insightful. He’s very patient and encouraging and you can go at your own pace. Really happy to have found the studio!!
Full service framing shop. Wide selection. Also huge arts and craft materials stock. Some art for sale. Free parking. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Quality custom frames are not inexpensive, but really enhance the subject.
Cosmin brings incredible warmth, charm and humour to his fabulous pottery classes. We had a mixed class of total novices (me) through to artists (definitely not me!) and we all produced work we could be proud of and use at home. Highly recommend
This is by far the best ceramics course in my opinion, and I have “shopped around”. The groups are small, everyone gets plenty of attention, classes are run effectively. Cosmin is a wonderful teacher, his technique clicked with my brain the best, he exudes such calm confidence and takes time to explain every detail, puts everyone at ease from the get-go. I have certainly caught the clay bug and I absolutely blame Cosmin for it :)
I cannot recommend Cosmin’s pottery class enough!! I joined as a complete beginner and have had so much fun. I have also learnt the basics, met some lovely people and I will be coming back for more.

Great little shop with some nice little finds in there however little of it is what you need, although a lot of it you may want. We use this as a place to grab little treats for our kids, small gifts and stocking fillers at Christmas. Always worth a look in because you never know what you will find and as I say, there will almost always be something you want even if you don't necessarily need it.
This studio is amazing! Cosmin is a wonderful teacher who is passionate about sharing his love of ceramics. I’ve studied here for six months and have just booked onto yet another course. Great for beginners and experienced potters alike. Highly recommend!
I’ve been taking classes here for almost 2 years now and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it! Cosmin is an incredible teacher, and is always willing to tailor his approach if he notices you struggling. The studio has a friendly and intimate vibe, classes are small enough to get enough individual attention and it’s just been a very lovely experience overall. I started as an absolute beginner and took the 6 week course several times to get a enough practice and have done the 9 week practice course a few times as well. This is great place to start your ceramics journey and would recommend it for beginners and more experienced potters.
This is my favourite place in West Hampstead. I started doing a six week beginners throwing course which I loved so much I did it twice! I have been doing the 9 week practice course ever since. Cosmin is an amazing ceramics teacher who is exceptionally knowledgeable and patient. If you have been thinking about taking up pottery I cannot recommend the studio enough!
Its a really good unique shop, good for gifts etc. However, because the shops so small, you feel pressure of having to constantly be moving, so can never actually look at items as someones normally behind you who cant get past. This shop could be good if you had time to look around at your own leisure and take it all in. The layout is a massive let down, defo need a bigger store.

Fantastic if dangerous place. Wonderfully priced items you never thought you needed. And therein lies the danger. You'll find yourself asking if you truly need half the stuff. But because it's all very well presented and priced you'll struggle to say no to many items. Great laid out store too to allow easy flow through with self service checkouts also. Great place for creative introverts
Good inexpensive items but they are addictive and it adds up quickly. Great staff as well😁

What a strange but wonderful shop! It's like a mini IKEA Marketplace.
I guarantee that you won't be able to go in and come out empty handed! I saw this wooden perpetual calendar and I had to have it!

Lovely shop with contributions from a variety of different local artists and makers, so sure to find something unique that interests you. Kathy was very knowledgeable about the artists and made lots of helpful suggestions on what may interest us, without any pressure to buy. We bought a few things, including a ring which had to be made a little smaller. Kathy arranged this with the artist and it was posted on to me. Excellent service! Very happy with my purchases and will return if I visit Stockport again.

I had a beautiful picture of my beloved cat Moo made into the most gorgeous piece of artwork here. Beyond happy with the results and the artist captured her perfectly. Very friendly, warm service too. I highly recommend if you want something special to remember a loved one 💕. 7
I’m in absolute love with my ceramics! I use them on a daily basis, and they bring me lots of joy and satisfaction. I took a 5 week beginner pottery class which was my first pottery experience. Cosmin is an excellent tutor- He gave us the autonomy to express our creativity whilst guiding us through different techniques using clay. I was very slow at times but he was patient and helped me when needed. I really enjoyed it and will definitely want to continue learning at his studio.

There are always lovely original items at reasonable prices. You are able to view everything without being "hassled " a lovely shop.

Established for over 10yrs now the tayberry gallery offers a nice bright exhibition of contemporary art. The gallery is run by 2 artists and offers classes in jewellery and wood. Well worth popping into if your in the city and appreciate art.

Great place with really friendly staff and a great service. Well knowledgable about framing and are always happy to help. Glad i found this place as i will be using them whenever i need some framing done in the future.
The shop has a wide variety of products that is usefull. My granny needed a piece of glass for a frame to put a crossstitch in and one off the staf members had a piece of glass cut too size for her. The art gallery above the shop is also cute and amazing cos of the size. There are many pieces in that room above.
I have shopped at The picture Framing Shop for many years. I’ve seen the family who run it, blossom as the business has grown into the wonderful shop, it is now.
The staff are always willing to help, are kind, understanding to the customers needs and their knowledge of not just framing, but also arts and craft is second to none.
I have NEVER had a bad experience with any of the staff.
After many years of buying my art and craft supplies as well as having my framing done, I still get excited when I visit the shop, as you never know what little treasures are hiding away in what my children called Aladdin’s cave. They can happily spend hours looking around and always want to buy something.
As for the Framing, I would not shop anywhere else, as it is the highest quality, exceptionally made just as the customer care is.

This shop has been going for 28 years , my husband and I worked together, to make are shop a success, and has been passed to my daughter and her husband keeping it as a family business the staff are exceptionally friendly and will go out of their way to get anything you want.
We pride ourselves on serving each customer that comes in, helping them in anyway we can .
There is one women who has written a really nasty review, and I would like to say , that this is not true AT ALL. The lady in question was just asked to move to other side of the counter to choose her ribbons so as to avoid accidental damage of one of our customers pictures I’m sorry that she took offence at this but we are very precious at looking after our customers pictures.
