Best independent cafe. The coffee is amazing, and food also.
The staff and owners are brilliant and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble.
We recommend this cafe wherever we go

Probably my favourite coffee house in Redditch. It's a touch out the way being just outside the centre, but it's not far.

Absolutely lovely staff, and great atmosphere. Stopped in to try it out while visiting the area.
Vegetable pasty was okay, but pastry was a bit soggy after heated.

Coffee (espresso) was unfortunately under-extracted, but if you prefer milk-based drinks I think the taste would still be pretty good. As an espresso only, I wouldn't recommend...but maybe it was an off day.

The desserts, however, looked delicious. I didn't get any but I will next time I pop in. Will return next time I'm in the area :)
My favourite café in Watford, and it just reopened after getting refurbished and expanded. I'm sure I've tried at least half of the menu here, and it never disappoints. A bit expensive if you're not just getting a coffee, however you absolutely get what you pay for. Food is amazing and fresh, and the coffee is always great. The croissant was delicious and soft, and the staff member was very patient while I decided what I wanted, haha. It was a great place to stop before exploring more of the city!

I love this place with all my heart. ❤️ coffee is delicious. They heat the pastry, which makes everything tastier. A popular coffee place that makes me want to come back over and over again.
Coffee shop along the southern end of the Watford High Street. Excellent quality coffee here, the nutella latte being my favorite, along with great pastries. Interior is small and can get quite noisy, come early and/or at off-peak times.

The best cafe in Watford (definitely the best sausages!). Lovely food and friendly staff. Smoothies and coffee great too. It can get busy but never have to wait long for a table.

Had breakfast made by Stefano’s mum. A lovely Italian family run business and Stefano made us feel welcome. A tiny place that is greatly enhanced by the owners’ warmth. Very nicely located and walking distance from Edinburgh Castle

This has been my first choice coffee shop in Watford for a long time. Previously the food and coffee has been excellent. Sadly on this occasion, the pastry did not taste fresh, was chewy and greasy instead of soft and flaky, which I raised with the serving staff, only to be told with a shrug that they were delivered fresh first thing, which didn't resolve the fact that I had left the pastry. And the coffee was just lukewarm. I wasn't happy with customer care, it may have just been an off day, but I don't think I'd go back.

Came for breakfast due to the good reviews.
Ordered a cheese and ham toasty and pancakes for my wife.
Hers was nice and big portions. They had forgotten mine as my wife had finished hers when I was offered a very overcooked toasty. They tried again but rushed it as it was a half cooked attempt this time.
It tasted awful. Had to get a refund.
Such a shame. Left hungry and disappointed.

Lots of choice and great atmosphere. It can be a little slow at times, but we'll worth the wait if there is one. Highly recommended

I loved the vibes of this little local coffee shop! And I would totally buy their beans to take home if I were at the tail end of my trip.

It’s too cozy and warm inside for our liking, and we were lucky to get an outside table where we sat to chill and watch the world strolled by (as well as an odd man in boots marching twice past us…)

What a place. I ended up in Leeds twice last week and visited here both times; I was led here originally by the good reviews!
The food is amazing and well priced. The staff are lovely and accommodating. The coffee is delicious, there is loads of seating and there were lots of people eating alone which lets me know the atmosphere is comforting! Highly recommend!

I really recommend this place if your visiting Leeds. Make sure you book a table upstairs before you go as it does get busy.

I was seated downstairs in the basement which didn’t have any natural light and it did get a bit hot but nothing uncomfortable.

Their menu was really well thought out and I was surprised to see gluten free options. Please see my menu pics.

I ordered the Turkish eggs, it did take longer then expected but it was an absolute delight the eggs were cooked perfectly and the portioning was spot on. The coffee was really nice. The baristas latte art was next to nothing great attention to detail.

I would 100% go again and I would definitely try the gluten free pancakes.
Had very high hopes but was let down unfortunately. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed as you'd expect it to be. The service was Ok, very slow to be seated despite plenty tables seeming available. Appeared only one person was cleaning , setting and arranging the tables whilst the other two were just serving the food. When seated the service was fast and friendly though. The menu was tired and not clean physically. Mainly let down by the food, extortionate price £12.80 for "full Yorkshire" which is essentially a full English with items removed. Hash brown resembles a McDonald's hash brown which was concerning for the amount of oil used. The bacon was actually two rashers and not one as first thought, but they were fried together as one?? No baked beans but a mix bean medley. No black pudding and just one slice of fried sourdough. Sausage and mushrooms were nice. Tomato was sitting around the kitchen for a while I fear. The pancakes were burnt on both sides and smothered in the Nutella to cover it up.
I want to give this place another go but maybe at a different location and certainly different food choice.

Breakfast enthusiasts, rejoice! Laynes, conveniently perched across the street from Leeds station (LDS), offers an all-day breakfast menu that’s a feast for both the early bird and the late riser.

Open until 3 pm, Laynes ensures that breakfast isn't just for the early hours. Whether you crave pancakes at dawn or sweetcorn fritters at noon, they've got you covered. And with vegetarian and vegan options aplenty, this is a spot where everyone can find their favorite morning delight.

A sit-down meal lets you bask in the flavors of freshly prepared eggs, hot dishes, and aromatic coffee. With 45 minutes, you can indulge in a leisurely breakfast that might just turn into an early lunch!

On the go? Laynes serves up takeaway bakery items in a flash. A croissant and a coffee can be yours in just minutes, perfect for those rushing to catch a train.

The food is superb, and the service is equally impressive. Laynes has mastered the art of making every diner feel special.

So, next time you're near Leeds station, don't just pass by Laynes. Step inside and discover a breakfast haven where time stands still, taste buds dance, and everyone finds their plate of happiness.

Home of the famous number 9. A must try when visiting Edinburgh A grilled chicken baguette or wrap with their secret recipe homemade chipotle sauce Select your spice level from low (1) to hot (5). Exquisite coffee with the option to buy beans to take home. Grab a cannoli when passing, freshly made with different fillings available. A selection of popular wraps and baguettes some pasta options and more. What else to say really...

We had Harissa Egg Benedict and Coho breakfast.
I’m disappointed about eggs that needs to be runny when you have Egg Benedict. They did hard egg on that.
Coho Breakfast was just alright. Bacons was overcooked. Beans were not juicy.
Flat white coffee was amazing.

I've been a regular at this place for over five years now, and there hasn't been a single instance where their service has fallen short of exceptional. The staff members are the heart and soul of this establishment, always greeting customers with a warm welcome and a kind smile. Their friendliness and hospitality make every visit a delight.

The culinary delights on offer are nothing short of spectacular. The tiramisu and pastel de nata, in particular, are so delectable that I often find myself craving them. They have a way of hitting the sweet spot perfectly, making them a must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth.

In terms of convenience, their operating hours during the summertime are incredibly accommodating. With closing times extending to 6 some days, it's easy to find a moment to drop by and indulge in their offerings.

The coffee they serve is another highlight. It's always brewed to perfection, providing a much-needed pick-me-up or a comforting warm beverage to enjoy during a leisurely visit.

The atmosphere is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The soothing music creates a relaxing backdrop, and the space is versatile enough to accommodate both social gatherings and quiet work sessions. The recent changes they've made to the outdoor seating have only added to the appeal. The chairs are not just comfortable, but they also provide ample space, making it a great spot to unwind.

While there are days when it can get quite busy, making it a bit of a challenge to secure a seat, the wait is always worth it. The bustling energy adds to the charm and the anticipation of finally settling down with a delicious treat makes it all the more satisfying.

One aspect that particularly stands out is the cleanliness and maintenance of the place. The toilets are always spotless, reflecting their commitment to providing a comfortable and hygienic environment for their customers.

In conclusion, this place has become a cherished part of my routine. I genuinely hope they continue to operate for many years to come because it's more than just an establishment to me - it's a place that brings joy and comfort, and I can't imagine not having it in my life.

This coffee shop is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Church Green, and it's become my favorite spot for a cozy and relaxing time. The view of the nearby church adds a touch of charm to the whole experience.

Every time I walk in, the staff greets me with genuine warmth, making me feel like I'm stepping into a friend's place rather than just a coffee shop. Their friendly demeanor sets the perfect tone for a lovely visit.

Now, let me talk about their tea - it's simply out of this world! I'm a tea lover, and the way they prepare it is heavenly. But let me not forget their milkshakes, oh my! They are incredibly delicious, and I've found myself returning just to savor those delightful treats.

When it comes to their food selection, they've got it right. It's a nice mix of flavors and options that complement the drinks perfectly.

I cannot recommend Aroma Coffee Bar enough. If you're in Reddich and looking for a place to unwind with great drinks, lovely staff, and a beautiful view, this is the spot for you. It has become my little haven, and I'm sure you'll love it just as much!

It was good for a once off, I don’t necessarily think I’ll go back but it wasn’t bad either the only thing that was really lacking is the service. We waited a while before someone came to take the order and my friend ordered a matcha latte and I a chai latte. Her food arrived before the drinks. Food wise I think it’s a bit expensive for what you receive.
The atmosphere was good overall.

The coffee is awesome (they use good good coffee beans) BUT BUT BUT be careful with the food they serve food from yesterday which is kept hot. By the law hot food should be served within 8 hours and never passed for the next day. Plus their Pollo Panino sandwiches are too dry, one tomato slice and 1 lettuce slice and just a bit of mayo.
Good staff and refund available that’s why 3stars and not 2.
Too tight inside and no parasol outside, you keep the customers in the burning sun? 27* outside guys. Could be better 🤝

The coffee here is very very good. The staff clearly know what they are doing and are passionate about food coffee. Beautiful little Italian cafe with very friendly staff. Had the most delicious sandwich I’ve tried here! Would highly recommend. Also has a variety of cold drinks which are very necessary with the current warm weather.
One of the best baguettes I have had in a long time. Delicious fresh baguette, Full of tasty ingredients. The original jalapeño sauce is to die for and the chicken is super well cooked. Nice little place to grab a sandwich and something sweet during your visit in Edinburg.

The food was delicious! We got variations on Eggs Benedict that were lush. Extremely well cooked and the drinks were lovely too. Love the 2 for £10 brunch cocktails as well as the great value bottomless brunch. We didn't do this because the food choices with it are limited and it was more expensive than what is advertised on their website & in the bathrooms. They've increased their prices but haven't updated it everywhere so that needs sorting. From a service perspective, it was super slow but polite and friendly. The food was fast but the servers took ages to actually take our order. They don't take bookings, except for bottomless brunch which has to be booked in advance. Bit all over the place. We visited on a sunny Tuesday - I suspect they didn't expect to be so busy but they were full the whole time we were there hence the slow service probably. Didn't delay the food though. Also there were 2 servers working so upstairs seating was closed. So the atmosphere while nice was very cramped and hectic. Another shame because I actively saw the staff turn people away and offered to move to a smaller table so those people could be accommodated. We were almost turned away ourselves for the same reason. There was a lone man working from a 2 seater table who could easily have been brought his check to get him to leave. Also if you take ages to take someone's order, then they're going to spend ages at their table. Bit of a vicious cycle. Hopefully it was just a one off but they could do with more, or quicker staff. Also the bathroom was pretty grotty, with evidence that it hadn't been cleaned since the previous night (no ticks on the schedule for that day - 2 checks missed). Would return for the good value and quality food and drink but only IF I've got 2.5hrs to kill because I reckon that's how long it took us when we visited and IF I go back on a weekend it'll be just as long! ;)
If you're in Leeds and looking for a cozy cafe for breakfast and coffee, you can't go wrong with Laynes Espresso. Their coffee is excellent, and the baristas really know their stuff. Their breakfast menu has options for everyone, including vegetarians and vegans. I had the avocado toast, and it was delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are friendly. Overall, Laynes Espresso is definitely worth a visit if you want good breakfast and coffee in Leeds

Can easily see why this place is ranked do highly. We only visited for coffee on this trip but the coffee really was excellent. The cakes and baked selection looked great too.

I love that it's so quirky. Don't be put off if the downstairs is full, the real comment seats (and the bookshelf) are up a narrow staircase.

We don't live in Leeds but visit every now and then. Next time we're in Leeds, we'll be going back to Kapow for sure.

This place is a must visit if you would like a good coffee in Leeds. My last visit I had a split shot coffee and a selection of authentic Italian treats. The coffee lacked a slight bit this visit but this is the first time ever and I have been going for years. It has had a revamp in the interior in the last year and looks very chic.
Can get very busy around lunchtime so tables can be limited. You can for a buggy between tables if visiting with a little one.
Great coffee shop just off Park Row. Coffee is tasty and great cakes too. I had the pistachio cheesecake which was gorgeous!
Often busy but a nice chill atmosphere if you can grab a seat. Worth visiting over the usual chain of high street coffee shops.

If you're going to take your driving theory test, this is the place to come after! Great service from the ladies there, very clean, nice surroundings, we had cinnamon rolls and sticky lemon buns, they were warm, gooey and delicious, we also had the special hot chocolates and a caramel latte, equally tasty, had a little chuckle too at the sign on the toilet door!, will come back here again, if you want to give here a try it is just behind the church, much nicer than being in the hustle bustle of the town itself.

One of the best independent coffee shops I’ve been too. Beautifully decorated with imaginative, proprietary artwork contributed by the owner and regular customers. Very knowledgable staff. A wide range of coffees and serving options and generally a really cool and relaxed vibe. There’s plenty of extra seating upstairs and it’s just a great place to hang out. I wish there we Meroe like this.

Nutella soya latte is fabulous!!! I wish I can make it in the afternoon for another peanut butter one :P So far the best coffee I’ve had in Watford.

Really appreciate the creative and unconventional brunch options (a bit tired of egg benedicts). The caramelized onions might be a little too sweet especially with the sweet chili sauce and my Nutella latte, but the feta and roasted pepper is quite refreshing.

I am very happy I visited coho and here are the reasons: The Staff was excellent, very kind and fast, 3 different members of staff helped us either by taking an order for the table or bringing extra water. Everyone simply kind.

The food: It was great! I included pictures. Me and my gluttonous friends decided to get a dish for each and then an extra for the table as we all wanted to try the Coho French Toast. I am very happy with the food. The eggs had the perfect egg yolk (for me) and I know people can be tough to satisfy when it comes to it and the French toast was amazing. The menu has all the classic options for Brunch.

There’s also a backyard that’s outside and we didn’t know about it until after we left but it looked beautiful for a sunny day! Highly recommend this place, especially for the great service. It’s opposite Hixon Green that despite having good food has awful service. I am very happy and can’t wait to go again!

*They grind your coffee as you wish for different purposes. This one is definitely a plus although for the perfect coffee experience I wouldn’t suggest grinding your beans at stores as they lose their flavour.

As a coffee shop itself the experience is amazing, however I wouldn’t say their coffee amazes me.

Another thing, I wouldn’t say this is a very inclusive place for the general public as the location itself gives out an exclusive vibe and the customers are mainly white collar business people and edgy individuals.

So I can positively imagine some amateur coffee lovers would find themselves awkward in this place.

However, as usual, above is just my personal opinion, I’m only hoping for them to be useful for those who can relate.

All in all, definitely worth a try.

Amazing dog friendly place! Incredible exciting menu, the cakes were delicious and the fun mish mash decore plays really nicely with the small rooms scattered around. Service was prompt and friendly! Couldn’t be better.
