Nice store for me to pick the suitable fabrics!! The staff is hospitality! They have so many different colors and styles! Always check if we are the students, and give us the student discount!!
They add 20% VAT on top of the displayed price - pretty sure that's illegal in the UK and very deceptive.
Price gouging. Was charged £8 for 2m of satin ribbon. For comparison, amazon charges £3.25 for 24m.
I have been going to this shop for about eight years, and the staff are simply incredible. They really do care about their customers and remember you too. I live about 38 miles from this shop and each time they go above and beyond to provide me with the best service in store and when ordering from home. Probably THE most helpful fabric shop in London. Simon, Paul and everyone else thank you for being so understanding and kind to me each time! 💕Simply the best quality fabrics, these guys work incredibly hard to source globally the best of the best for us all.
We had the most fantastic experience at Borovick Fabrics in London. Simon was absolutely brilliant and helpful. His knowledge of fabrics along with his exceptional customer service and kindness was nothing short of brilliant. He made my bridal experience memorable and easy and removed so much stress given the dress is being made in another country. Thank you so much Simon for your service. I would highly recommend this fabric shop to anyone!
Superb! Comfortable seats, a great performance and priced reasonably. My only criticism is that people have little respect and sit there crunching crisps and rustling loud sweet wrappers throughout the performance.. not the theatres fault, but if you plan to go, take some quiet food if you must!

Excellent production in this lovely small theatre. Visiting family in the area, and today's matinee was an unexpected treat.
I bought some items, I thought the price seemed high. I was not given an itemized receipt so when I got home and checked prices, I realized that I had been over charged. Returned to the shop to tell them. Apparently they add VAT on top of the price. I looked it up and it says that shops are not allowed to add it, it is included in the price. They also never said we are adding vat. I told this to the lady and she said it is the owners policy to add it.
So BEWARE

I dropped by after work to find some material for a dress and the shopkeeper was super helpful, helped me find the exact colour and type I needed within a few minutes and was lovely! Would reccomend for all your fabric needs ❤️
I’m an architecture student and was new to using fabrics in a sculptural way. I came in today around 5pm and the service was beyond amazing if there were more stars I’d give them! Not only were the staff so kind and patient they were incredibly helpful and offered great words of advice for the materials I liked and what I was using them for.
I had spent all day in and out of fabric shops and received such poor customer service and was often brushed away or charged too much.
But Borovick Fabrics was the complete opposite they are not only affordable but house great quality materials and I will definitely be back again

Absolutely amazing help finding a black red velvet discontinued fabric. Wonderful, I love them! Unbelievably, sourced Monday and arrived Thursday! Old fashioned customer service and such great fabrics. What a great fabric shop.
Local theatre with good facilities which puts on a range of plays. Although the performers are amateurs the standard is very high and they put on plays people want to see.
A huge selection of beads, gems, sequins, feathers, findings etc for embroidery and dressmaking. They are a little expensive compared to the rest of the country, but it's expected from a shop in Soho! The staff are very helpful and friendly.
Wow ! Had a great night at Soul Train. Thanks to everyone at Ilkley Playhouse. Will definitely book for next year.

Wonderful performance of Wind in the Willows. Alan Young shone as Toady as did Vani Midgley as Ratty. Very traditional first half and more light hearted caper in the second half. You could tell the influence of Alan Bennett in this version. A fantastic asset to Ilkley, the Playhouse should be packed every night.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff who are keen to help you find a costume. Sadly they had nothing in that fit me (a Regency gentleman costume) but my friend found a lovely ball gown.
Great costumes, look expensive and authentic. Lovely, helpful staff. Highly recommend.

I got a fantastic regency costume for a work party here. I had no idea what I needed, or what sizes I needed but within an hour they had me kitted out from head to toe and looking amazing. If you need an awesome costume I can't recommend this place highly enough. They are open on alternating weekends and restricted hours in the week so check the website before visiting.
This is a superb costume shop- not nasty one-piece fancy dress made of nylon. The highest quality detailed outfits fitted to the customer. the Staff are pleasant and helpful. Can't reccommend highly enough.
