This cathedral is beautiful and Canon Bosco is wonderful. The chorus sing like angels. We got our vows renewed in November. We'll never forget such a magical event. Thanks Canon Bosco. God bless you 🙏🏻
Lovely church, very family friendly
Visited several times....well, tried to visit but despite being listed as 'open' it was in fact very much closed. You'd have thought a Cathedral would remain open for the community to come and pray but sadly not.
The architect must have been high on something as from the outside it's hideous! Like a giant funnel sat on top a corporate office block.... literally nothing remotely Christian looking or feeling as you approach the building....just cold modern architecture.

Yes, the mosaics are nice and the marble is grand. However, the rest of the inside building looks like a converted train station hall with coal soot still hanging onto the walls and ceilings.
A beautiful cathedral Westminster cathedral. Free to enter unless you want a guided tour. The cafe in the crypt is good.
Love this church... Beautiful and lots of history on the walls and ceilings... U will never get tired of visiting this church and they have a clean set of toilets on the right side. The shop is great too. The information lady was extremely helpful when I asked about the location of envelopes for the souls I wanted to be included in their prayers. You can also use a container and get holy water on the right side once you enter. The music and choir is something else and the smell of incense just gets you so emotional.
Not religious myself, went to support my family. Beautiful modern church with an interesting backstory about its construction. Has some beautiful modern stained glass windows. I enjoyed going, though, I cannot put my finger on what but something was missing in the church in comparison to others I'd been to. Felt a little too empty, but I think in time with general use and having many people over the years show their love in different ways will give it its charm eventually. The priests were very approachable and happy to help! Thank you Father Declan! (I didn't get your last name, sorry if I'm being disrespectful) areas for silence there and to light candles in the name of passed loved ones. The chairs are interesting as they have cushions attached to the back in order to prey on knees as they do not have traditional pues. Plenty of parking round the front and back with disabled access and help available. 10/10 would go again, friendliest aura.
Beautiful! The fact that it isn't fully finished inside adds to the charm in my opinion.
I was told that they need £55 million to be able to finish the ceilings with gold mosaic, but I think it'd be much better if they left it as it is and donated the money to charity 😊

We joined here for the Sunday mass and it was nice to be there for the peaceful mind. I felt a bit awkward on the structure of the cathedral because there were no pictures and statues of Jesus Christ on the altar.

Beautiful church with friendly people! Couldn't recommend this church more. A haven of peace away from a world of distractions. Sanctuary of mercy for those in need!
We were there for a funeral. Quite an extraordinary experience. Some of the rituals felt quite pagan. We had the wake in a downstairs room that was accessed via a narrow spiral staircase. Not built with the disabled in mind. But an impressive building.

Holy chapel of Saint mungo's first class
Great place to stop by and don't forget to go up the tower, it's only £6. No need to walk up stairs, there's a lift that takes you up to view the city. There's also a huge gift shop on the right side of the church (not the one inside), a must if your looking for religious mementos
It’s a very beautiful cathedral. There is so much information inside about cathedral and various statues. Worth a visit. Also we found free parking on the street outside cathedral. It’s free only on weekends.

It was like I stepped inside the exquisitely adorned Roman Catholic cathedral, built in the late 19th century. Instantly, a serene tranquility washes over you despite the presence of others. The interior is a haven for contemplation, a refuge from the bustling Victoria Street. Marvel at the Chapel of the blessed sacrament, the Lady chapel, and the Chapel of the Holy Souls, each radiating beauty and holiness.
Short visit, attented Mass felt welcomed. Thank you for keeping the Faith alive.
Beautifully decorated interior, on entering there is a feeling of calm, stillness and serenity even though there are other people around. A place you can easily get lost in your thoughts, such peacefulness, from the outside hustle and bustle of Victoria Street.

today with my children we went to catholic church in worcester park to start Sunday with God in the morning, I want to mention that my children received their first communion in May this year and therefore they can now join the Eucharist in services, what was my surprise that the priest refused my my children were in the middle of the church and they did not know what it was about, they felt embarrassed, so I told them to get in line again and for the expensive time the priest had no choice but to give them the body of God ... the children were happy that received the Eucharist. what was our surprise when we left the church and the priest, waving his hands, started shouting that it was their last time and that he had to look for another church, so I asked him if our Polish roots bothered him in all this, we were shocked that the priest he can be so rude and just after the holy mass behave like this to the faithful ... my children all the way from the church to the house kept asking why the priest treated them like that (I honestly didn't have words to explain it to them) it's sad but we'll have to look for another church, living in this country many times we have felt hostile people but that in the church ?? I leave it without words, we are very sorry
Lovely church. Very busy when we visited. Parking was an issue for us on the day.

It didn't feel like a Sunday mass for me.
But I understand the members are mostly elderly people, so I can't get the vibrant and active participation feeling I would get back in my home parish

How amazing is the Cathedral. What a great place to seek peace.
It's so calm and peaceful, you always feel welcome and safe to "hide" away when you need some space.

The building is beautiful but the congregation has been taken over by bossy lay people. No doubt this suits the African priests who are more concerned with preaching the "prosperity gospel" for financial gain. The numbers and takings have gone down and the liturgy is sloppy and rushed.

St. Pancras is a quite traditional style, large red-brick church with stone tracery windows, but no tower. The lack of a tower does mean that the exterior of St. Pancras is alike a farm barn from a distance. It's unremarkable when compared to adjacent Christ Church, but it's the interior that's very ornate. In fact it's quite unusual & actually more alike a Russian Orthodox church, full of colourful ecclesiastical decoration. St. Pancras is to be found along Tacket Street, sited adjacent to Christ Church, in Ipswich's eastern town centre. It was built on the site of a Catholic chapel, convent school & orphanage, founded in 1860. A year later it was decided to build a proper church in order to accommodate the Irish immigrant workforce settling in Ipswich, having been employed as navvies in the building of the town's railway. When St. Pancras opened in 1861, the attendance of Irish Catholics was estimated at 60, but by the end of the decade had risen to as many as 400

A Catholic Church where word of God is well explained and upheld. The masses celebrated here is very lively and people from Africa, Asia and Europe are all made to have same feeling of mass celebrated in their home countries.
It's situated near school environment (a high ranking global University), so enjoy a reasonable attendance. This contributes to the building of strong bond among worshippers drawn from different parts of the world.
They keep to time and observe different Catholic activities like Penitential service, baptism, holy matrimony etc. Worshipping here gives joy to the parishioners.

As far as churches go it's a good church. A little bit cold inside but I bet it costs a fortune to heat.
Beautiful church and now my new place of regular worship. Offers 2 Sunday Masses (1 morning, 1 evening) as well as others through the week. Such a superb mix of people which is so lovely to see. One or two congregants perhaps need a little persuading that it's a place to be still, quiet and worship, but I'm sure the Priest will remind people of the need for this. The Sunday eve Mass had about 80 people and I imagine the morning Mass will have a packed church...which in secular times is such a beautiful thing. It's worthwhile mentioning that (of the Sunday eve Mass and a weeknight one I once attended) that the Mass is reverent in style...perhaps there may be other Masses here that are a little bit more progressive (and there can be a place for that) but after participating (throughout the pandemic) in online Masses at Walsingham Basilica and those shown on EWTN and Catholic TV, this church really does feel very close to that style. I look forward to my journey in faith with this beautiful church. Pax
Good if you like cheesy music with showboating band instead of a choir and a priest who is more interesting in talking metaphors than Catholic teaching, but not so great if you want to experience the transcendental with God and experience the sacrifice of the mass in a manner befitting of the sacrifice our lord made for our salvation.

Lovely old church. Easy parking. Pleasant priest and friendly locals. Piano player was excellent (and sang well too!).
We were there for the Katyn memorial Mass. A truly great spiritual experience and a poignant ceremony at the memorial stone after, outside in the cathedral grounds. Great sermon by father Jacek.

A lovely oldish church. Built around 141yrs ago,which I would imagine was around the Glasgow Tenements. Inside is quite serene and as you would expect Calm. We were at a funeral here the Parish priest Fr Frank was very welcoming and performed a lovely send off service overall lovely.
This beautiful Catholic Church is situated in the heart of downtown Ipswich and is walking distance from all the stores & shops in town center. On Sundays, Mass is at 9:30am and again at 11am. The 11am Mass is sung, and the music and voices are enchanting. It's a very warm and inviting church with tea and coffee after each Sunday Mass.
Thanks to the Passionist community at St Mungos for maintaining such generous provision of (well managed) confession throughout the covid era. Most other places (inc the Cathedral) put the shutters down! A nice Church to visit for adoration or private prayer in general.

Lovely little church the wedding service was lovely and the priest was very warm and welcoming.
Serene place if you want to spend some time praying. Usually not crowded but sunday 11 am mass is crowded. Have confessions ( not on sundays ) and mass and rosary ( except sundays) daily. Parking is limited and opens only 30 minutes before mass. Very nice and big church.

Great location in a quiet street with beautiful houses around it. The shape of the building is very remarkable and is seen from far away. The greenery around the cathedral is very pleasing to the eyes. The atmosphere of the place is calming and relaxing.
A very friendly congregation at St Francis, usually there is a children's Liturgy, Sunday Mass, however at this time there isn't xx
It's still the parish closest to my heart in Middlesbrough! Used to go every weekend with my grandparents as a girl, though my own parish was the neighbouring one. The stained glass, the artwork bring back such amazing memories. A wonderful community and with Fr Crowley and Fr Madden - it still brings a smile to my face. Hope to come to mass at some point very soon from a long way away.

Always hold my Ceilidh dances here just a nice size hall for 80 people and bar prices are very reasonable

A well designed place with plenty of seating and a priest who was clear and sympathetic to the mourners at the funeral the 200 or so people were attending.

As a Roman Catholic My church is central to my life, wherever I travel. The usual gripe from me is people talking in church, having all week to worship other things, this is my sanctuary from the other and for my chance of peace through prayer.
Went to see Andy chung play. It is a lovely hall and everyone is so friendy

Wonderful modern building with an unusually warm atmosphere. Great and friendly venue for a classical concert as part of the Clifton festival. Not sure about the religious bit I was visiting for the music so no judgement made.

This is my local chapel and while growing up next to it i found its not changed much over the years but is always clean and tidy and the priests have all changed but all very nice and well informed. I had both my parents funerals and my younger brothers my gran and grandads and uncles and family friends funerals here too. I would highly reccomend this place to anyone.
