I have been to Thessaloniki few times, this was the best place to have lunch! Amazingly tasty food, nice natural atmosphere know for a proper Greek restaurant and great, kind and professional staff. I truly recommend!

It was a great experience to eat here! The food was prepared fresh and the meat was cooked perfectly with a nice flavour. Would come again or recommend without hesitation.
Fantastic tzatziki, kebab, cretan salad, bouyiourdi with kavourma and grilled shrimps - I can't praise this hidden gem enough :)!!! wonderful service, delicious food and reasonable prices. Thank you for your kindness and friendly smile. Definitely come visit this place !
The Greek Restaurant is located in a charming alley near the sea, surrounded by trees, which makes for an impressive setting. The ambiance, being so close to nature, is quite peaceful. The calamari and octopus are particularly well-prepared and very tasty. For those who love seafood, these two options are definitely recommended. However, the mezes were unfortunately average and not very impressive.
The service was quite slow, which was a disappointment. Even the menu arrived late at our table, which affected our experience negatively. While we were expecting quick and efficient service, the slowness diminished the overall enjoyment. With improved service quality, this beautiful location could become a much more delightful place.

Underwhelming food experience at higher than average prices. Gets a lot of good reviews and is popular with the Greek lunch crowd but having had lunch at close to a hundred places in Greece I'd say they put too much effort on appearance and not enough on the kitchen.
This local Greek restaurant serves amazing food that will leave you craving for more. However, the staff and organization can be a bit chaotic, which might affect your dining experience. Nevertheless, the exceptional flavors make it a worthwhile culinary adventure.
The food was good, service was pretty fast. We had a bit of a wait, about 10 minutes then when our order was taken everything came out pretty fast. They bring it out as it’s ready so we had to wait to eat a few things until the other component came out. But it was so hot and fresh we didn’t have a problem with it. Big portions, well cooked.
Amazing traditional Greek food! We tried the octopus which was well cooked and tasted amazing among the sauce (hummus and olive oil), then we had shrimps with sauce and fried pan calamari.

Before even going to Greece, we were planning to go here because of mouth-to-mouth talks. We were not disappointed! People working there were very kind and helpful. The food was amazing! You get complementary bread and lemons for the food and dessert. Even when it started to rain (pour even with lightning), it didnt ruin the atmosphere and the feeling here.
We visited this meze tavern twice. One for lunch and once for dinner. Everything was great.

I enjoyed the meal. Good quality espresso. The grilled halloumi was perfectly sliced and cooked. The meatballs were hot and I liked the flavour of the tomato sauce. The texture could have been better. It was very busy but I did feel like the service let it down a bit. They served others who arrived after me before. Maybe they could use more staff at mid afternoon. They bought me free dessert which was a nice touch. Lively, authentic atmosphere. They provided me with an English menu which was great.
Delicious food, big portions and very good prices compared to other restaurants in the area. Highly recommended! The only downside is that you might have to wait a bit more to order as the place is always very busy
I said let's try this restaurant because they have almost all kinds of traditional Greek food. The food is super good, the portions are quite large and the prices are ok for the quality of the food. The fish was very fresh, the orange salad insane. I received from the restaurant 2 appetizer salads and fresh bread and at the end 2 glasses of liqueur ... something after the meal, with a superb taste. If I stayed a few more days, I wouldn't fit in the driver's seat anymore 🤣🤣

Delicious food at a very fair price in the middle of the city. Service was nice even on stressful days (we went on new year's eve). Vegan options like baked beans or grilled mushrooms are available, and the variety is wider than other restaurants in the area. The ambience is very Greek and typical, very recommended!
Sometimes there is no table to sit at. Seftelia is so delicious. The appetizers is satisfying and overrich. Everything is perfect with this restaurant. The staff is always nice.
Very good kitchen, friendly staff. All of them can speak English and they smile (!) which is rare in my country. The price level is reasonable. They even offered a free dessert at the end. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

Wow.....this establishment is super awesome....the atmosphere is so nice and the service was astoundingly good. The whole street is packed with similar eateries but we came here with local friends who said this is the best and one of their favourites. Food was delicious 😋 and didn't hurt the wallet either.

We ate here two nights. First night was slow cooked lamb and tonight was slow cooked pork. The food was wonderful. Fell off the bone. Succulent. Service is top notch and very friendly staff. Servings are large. Incredible value for money and is set in the very vibrant dining area.
Delicious food and friendly service! We ate feta cheese with beef, sheep cheese and traditional Cretan rusk with tomatoes and feta. Everything was amazing! Highly recommended!
This place is a recreation of the postwar Era bakaliko, a place were you could buy groceries but also have some meze with ouzo or home made wine. At Galanis you will not buy groceries but you will get lot of mezedes. All dishes we tasted were very decent but nothing extraordinary. The staff very polite and fast ready to serve all our requests. The place is not very nice, being just by the road with cars passing by all the time, but the atmosphere is very nice. Dishes to taste definitely the potato salad, kavourma omelet, the eggs with the local cheese, the pitarakia and the snails with cheese and rosemary. Prices were on the cheap side compared with other places on the island.

Cool, laid back restaurant set in the old village grocery store. The quality of the food was a step up from most places we had on our trip. The staff were fun and attentive. Our favourite restaurant during our trip to Greece.
Everything was perfect. Homemade taramosalata, perfection. Scorpina fish is unbelievable. Galanis in Milos is a must.
Sehr schöne, kreativ gestaltete Taverne, die bunten Stühle fallen schon von weitem auf, zentral in einer Seitengasse gelegen. Sehr freundlicher Wirt, Speisekarte mehrsprachig. Das Essen war so lecker, daß leider kein Foto, außer vom griechischen Salat entstanden ist. Die Calmari, das Tsaziki und das Mousakka haben leider kein Foto mehr bekommen, weil es so schnell leer war. Schöne Hintergrundmusik, es macht Freude hier zu sitzen.

The shepherd's pie was the best part of the meal even though it was extremely bland and underwhelming.
The menu is extremely small. No real main courses to speak of. If you're looking for a filling meal, this is not the place.

The food here was absolutely amazing! Tucked away, has a lovely atmosphere. We came back the next night. Best food we’ve had in Greece.
Had a Dakos which was delicious and smoked pork with mustard which was OK (the meat is a bit dry for my personal taste but the restaurant owner did warn me). Restaurant owner is lovely.

An extremely lively restaurant situated on a side street of the old town Chania. Tables were placed on both sides of the street. The atmosphere was buzzing, noisy but fun. Obviously very popular with people of all ages.

The place has some good options for food, but they're overpriced for the amount of food that you get. The pita and zucchini balls we're good, but the grilled octopus was quite small in quantity and burnt. Recommend not getting seafood at this place. We ordered a lot of dishes, but were still not satiated.

It was my 6th visit and I can honestly say that it's my station every time that I come from Cyprus . It was lunch time and I think I ordered enough for 4 people and we were only 2 . Keep up the good work guys . Crete cuisine rocks . The value for money ratio is excellent .
A superb restaurant serving delicious local food. It is run by a communist but don't let that put you off - Dimitris is full of integrity and committd to awesomely good local food. The photos adorning the walls read like a who's who of Greek culture, theatre and communism. Portions are big, the salad is enormous and the complimentary food (and alcohol just keeps flowing). One chooses what one wants from the menu, writes it on an order pad and gives it to Dimitris who then prepares it. If you want more it's on the house. Everything is freshly cooked, local and in good amounts. The traditional Cretan sausage is sublime especially with the local mustard. Expect kindness and attentiveness and just enjoy an eating experience from bygone days.

This is a jewel in the centre of Chania. Breakfast, lunch or dinner - this small restaurant provides beautiful portions of great food from pies to salads to main dishes - we shared a wonderful fried pork. Great flavoured food with wonderful staff. Brilliant.
The staff and food presentation were impressively fancy, but the grilled and fried chicken tasted like they were competing in a heavyweight meaty championship—I couldn't handle it and ended up paying for the privilege of staring at my uneaten meal. If you're brave enough to order chicken, approach with caution, or you might find yourself in a poultry predicament!

Soft pork cooked with black beer.. meat pies with cheese.. spicy soft cheese, local apaki with grape syrup and vegetable pie with fennel. Extremely delicious food, they did renew their menu this year and everything now is very well presented and very delicious. Definitely try their Zucchini Meatballs and Fried potatoes with truffle oil, extremely delicious, and the prices are decent. Definitely recommend it

Popular and overcrowded koyzina! All food we eat on the place is very tasteful, portions big and one enough for two. Salad with smoked potatoes and apace - my recommendation The service is excellent.

For us, the Old cafe is located in the nicest area of Iraklion. Just around the corner of your the square where the Agios Minas Cathedral is located and not only tourists but also a lot of locals. We were looking for a place to have lunch and wanted to have some small bites to share (Meze).
This place is perfect for that. It has a small menu with different (local) cheese and meat, and small traditional dishes like Dakos. Friendly people and straight forward, good quality food!

The food was nice, however we waited almost two hours to get it and the portions were somewhat small for the size. If the place was packed or there would have been communication about this, it would have been one thing but there was no indication and we even saw people next to us leave due to the long waiting time.

Lovely service with great food. We were looking for somewhere that served food at the standard of locals and not just tourists. Here was definitely the place! Not overpriced either. They also had retsina wine which we didn't see being served at other places. We left feeling very satisfied.

Good location (quite close to the sea) and interesting menu. Food quality is at good level, but prices are quite high compared to other kafenions in Heraklio.
The prices are good. You can ask for food and they will bring you 5-6 random dishes that are delicious. The staff is polite and the sea breeze is a plus.

We've been to a lot of places in Crete, but we've never had such good service from the owner. He gave us raki and ice cream dessert after meal for us.

Love it, don't you? You order a dish you really fancy...then see it delivered to the next table, looking as attractive as 1980 Elle McPherson.. and then told they're out of that dish. As happy as a lobster in a boiling pot. Never mind, the rest of the action was pretty good. The (baby) cod with an excellent skordalia. The fava dip above the usual good quality you get. The fries hit the spot, and the pita is on point like the beer. Sadly, the veg plate feels like yesterday's newspaper...grilling is great, using olive oil to keep things juicy would also mean we don't wait so long. The sardines are criminally overcooked...and barely edible. No wonder they took so long to front up. So its a pass grade from me, and a pass by next time.
Came here twice it's the most local!! The service is really nice, they have a lot of patience explaining in English. It's so home made! I didn't take all the pics but here is a Greek salad and also a half of the cheese "saganaki".

What a lovely little place. The food was among the best we've had in Heraklion. Small plates filled with deliciousness, except the salad which was quite sizeable. The staff was very welocming and friendly and translated the Greek menu for us.
The locale was very small but picturesque and cozy. Only two tables were avaliable outside and those were already taken.
We got a free dessert of ice cream and sweet pancake, together with a bottle of raki.
Overall lovely experience with most importantly fantastic cuisine expertly cooked.

Nicely tucked away from the main tourist streets - you'll find this very unique antifa themed resto - with amazing typical home-made food and very friendly staff and owner. Had the best time.
Best food from Heraklion. All the food was fresh and cooked after order.
We had spaghetti with sea food, sardines with fresh potatoes, mix grilled with meat(without lamb).
And about tzatziky - best from Greece! 😁

Lovely place to sit down in the shade in a pedestrianised alley. The carafe of house white is probably the best 2,50€ can buy you, and it comes with nibbles
Just a few side streets away from the Lions’s fountain and missed by the mainstream tourist groups. Caters to locals and is one of several restaurants in this street. It serves a variety of small plates at a reasonable prices. The Greek generosity was evident with the free sweet treats and small bottle of raki that we got. Awesome evening.
Very nice place to stop and eat some meze and drinking a beer. We enjoyed many of them also helped by the waitress; she has been very nice. Fair prices and you are far from square with all restaurant for turists
