Best Barbecue restaurants in Greece

This restaurant is a gem for the grilled meat. Atmosphere is great. Authentic place, most locals dinning. Food fresh and meat on the grill is absolutely delicious. Staff friendly, and price honest.

Everything about this place is exceptional. I recommend the spit pork belly. The dessert they serve as a courtesy, Ekmek, will blow your mind. Come eat, drink and be happy!

Great casual fast food gyros and pitas. Unfortunately when we got there no gyro or lamb was available so we got pork and chicken souvlaki pitas. I appreciated that they did not use frozen French fries as it does make a difference. Hard to beat 2 pitas and 2 half liters of Mythos for 16€.

I come to Greece every year and eat at many greek restaurants...this place was the worst....I apologize for the bad review but you have to be consistent in what you dish out for people to eat.

Fresh local dishes with variety of options to choose from. There's few tables on the street which gets pretty busy so if you don't like that busy vibe around you while you are eating you should consider getting a tavle inside the place, or even order a takeout.

The place doesn't feel touristy, I got a feeling that a lot of locals dine here.

I recommend to try their pita gyros, it's one of the best I've tried on the island.

So nice and wonderful place in Crete! Especially, Fried squids are really really delicious and my first squids in my life. And really kind and helpful.

Very enjoyable taverna grill off the main drag near Adamas. Amazing fried eggplant with tomato sauce, pork belly from the spit, and lamb chops. Included with the bill was a delicious homemade cookie.

This meal was so salty, it was difficult to eat.
I wish there was a choice between fries and perhaps a salad that would help cut through the immense amount of salt added.
The meatballs were dry and over cooked, pork belly overly salted and tough.
Unfortunately can’t recommend.
It’s also disappointing they refuse to offer take away. At the very least, it doesn’t appear they have a cover charge.

Taste food, the octopus was a little overcoocked, but the other dish was nice

Try souvlaki it is really good, and the greek salad tasted good as well. The waiter was nice. Good price/quality ratio.

Edit: I went there for the 2nd time and I did not regret it. Definitely order the beef cooked in the tomato sauce with rice. It was really delicious.

A national gem that needs to be protected. Honestly the best gyros in town and a price you can’t beat!! Everything was delish and the service was really good. For dinner there’s always a little bit of a waiting time but not to crazy. The gold quality was very good and highly recommended the Greek salad.

Great food at reasonable prices. Strongly recommend their pita gyro, delicious taste for only 3.5 euro. The place is always fully packed, so expect the service to be slower than normal.

The ice cream on coconut is a scam. In the fridge you see this amazing deserve, with lot's of berries as topping and when you order, they give you something different. And it's expensive, 18€.

We waited around 30-40 minutes because the place is small but you have to visit it in your stay in Corfú!! If you go early you will find place outside, we went at 21 pm and it was full, it's true we were a group of 6 people (it's better if you are a small group or just a couple). We asked for two Greek salads, three fried potatoes and Tzatziki to share and a Gyda Pita for each one!!! Completely recommended, we also asked for local beers, I hardly recommend the ones I show in the photo. We paid 13€ p.p!!

Small portions, not like pictures (i.e. 2 chicken skewers not 3 like picture), flavourless and bland. Worst food, and most expensive food, I have had in ALL of Greece. Should have known better…..

90€ and we (six of us) left hungry!

Sehr schöne, kreativ gestaltete Taverne, die bunten Stühle fallen schon von weitem auf, zentral in einer Seitengasse gelegen. Sehr freundlicher Wirt, Speisekarte mehrsprachig. Das Essen war so lecker, daß leider kein Foto, außer vom griechischen Salat entstanden ist. Die Calmari, das Tsaziki und das Mousakka haben leider kein Foto mehr bekommen, weil es so schnell leer war. Schöne Hintergrundmusik, es macht Freude hier zu sitzen.

Very tasty pitta and greek salad, good value for money too! The tavern is located on a narrow street in old town so there aren't many tables available, but things seem to run smoothly nonetheless. Service was a bit slow to take the order but staff very nice and friendly and our order followed very quickly. The famous moussaka was sadly not available - would have loved to try it. Definitely recommended!

Absolutely loved this place, it’s a must if you are visiting Milos. Everything we ordered was delicious, amazing home style cooking like it was cooked from a yiayia. We got pork from the spit, tomato salad and fried eggplant. It was plenty of food and so so tasty.

Pushy server rolled his eyes while we had the audacity to choose a flavour, should’ve been our first warning. No prices over charged for extremely average ice cream. Totally ignored my girlfriend and only spoke to me. Don’t be fooled by the displays - awful experience, ruined our holiday (we’ve since broken up). 14 pound for two ice cream cones, I will never financially recover from this.

Awful tourist trap. We just had a 3 flavors ice cup, take away for 9 euros!! Have also to pay cash as credit card machine was not working!!! It's a pity we did not priory read comments before. NEVER stop there...

So good we ate here two nights in a row. As the night goes on they get busier and busier. We arrived by 7:40pm on a Friday and Saturday end of June/July 1 and was able to get a table upon arrival. As we enjoyed our meal, every table was filled and there was a small wait due to larger groups arriving. When we left at 9:30pm the place was still packed and folks kept arriving!

Both nights we were there was the same wait staff and these 3 gentleman were hustling and working flawlessly together which led to top notch service and them able to keep up with the volume of guests.

Over the course of our two dinners we enjoyed an array of delicious dishes.

Night 1 - Bread, Chicken skewers, Feta with Honey, Grandmas Cheese Pies, Fried Zucchini with Tzatziki, carafe of Bulk White Wine. Cost €40.50

Night 2 - Bread, Tzatziki, Greek Salad, Meatballs with Red Sauce over Fries, Moussaka, carafe of Bulk Rose Wine. Cost €44.50

You could just tell that everything is prepared in large batches daily and fresh cooked to order.

We absolutely loved everything we ordered. We really enjoyed the service, atmosphere, had lovely conversation with locals and we would highly co-sign adding Zygos to your Milos Must Eats List.

It seems that we took the short stick. It is a good place, good service at least what I saw on the other tables. The food, good quality but too salty, they forgot my bread, which I needed as the tsatsiki had too much garlic, we were waiting about 15-20 minutes in order to be attended, which was quite frustrating and it is full of cats, which is fine for us, but there are some people who does not like that. Overall we like the place, still there are some things to improve.

Horrible, they charge whatever they want, I ordered a crepe, they brought me a concrete like crepe with stale ice cream cone shells instead of biscuit. After confronting them, they replied with “ this is a tourist restaurant not a creperie. We paid 10 euros for that. By far the worst place in Corfu

We ate Tinos salad and Epineio Salad, both were really delicious, especially the coating, I had a Fredo cafe - not great not terrible and my girlfriend had a sprinkled lemonade(they bought a lemon fanta).
The prices were ok.
The people were welcoming and the serving noice.
They serve water on the house and before we left they gave us a shot of liquor.

Yeah, what the other reviews are saying is true, they are profiting on tourists, but it's not all that bad. We ate a portion of coconut icecream, which was plenty for 2 people, and it was good, but the coconut itself is not edible.

DON'T SIT AT THE TABLE UNTIL YOU ASK FOR THE PRICE! INSIST ON IT!

They charged us 15 € which was too much, it was worth around 10€, but it's also our fault that we didn't asked for the price before hand.

Amazing traditional Greek food! We had tzatziki, Pastitsio and assorted meat skewers, all of which were amazing! There was live music while we dined and our servers were lovely. Highly recommend this restaurant!! Would have taken photos but we got to excited to eat the delicious food.

The best food in Tinos. Excellent customer service and good prices. We ordered sea food was all fresh also lamp chops were great.

They do not even deserve 1 star only I had to choose it to be able to write a review, this place is terrible TERRIBLE!! DO NOT GO IN HERE! The elderly men running it are terrible they won’t even let you read the menu SO PUSHY! , they give you more than what you asked for then slap a heap of extras on the bill being clever , the food is horrible HORRIBLE!! They rush you and ask you are you finished in a rude way and start clearing the table before you even get up and are sooooo rude! He said are you finished because my plate was still full it was so bad I couldn’t eat it and I said “ yes I am finished I didn’t like it” and he rolled his eyes at me, shrugged his shoulders and walked away , they have absolutely no manners or people skills and were rushing everyone, I spoke to a few other people beside me that were very annoyed too , and they were over charging people , a terrible place please do your self a favor and don’t go in , it’s also EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE and all though it’s called home made food it definitely is not home made!!

I had to try it as it is a classic in town.. it did not disappoint! The gyro was juicy and full of flavor! You have to order the one with everything.

They have other dishes but I recommend trying their gyro.

It is hard to get a table though and we didn’t go in high season so in any case I recommend going in the slowest times of the day or very early to get a dinner.

The food was good but the lamb chops were not well cut. Crispy feta was tasty! It was a little expensive.

Nice little Greek tavern in the heart of Heraklion old town, with a lot of other restaurants nearby. Somehow it seemed pleasant enough for us to want to sit and have a lunch there.
The service was attentive and effective. The food and wine were good, even though portion sizes were rather small. Prices were reasonable for the location.
Raki and sweet cherries at the end were a pleasant surprise complimenting our visit.

The food was nice, however we waited almost two hours to get it and the portions were somewhat small for the size. If the place was packed or there would have been communication about this, it would have been one thing but there was no indication and we even saw people next to us leave due to the long waiting time.

The best ice cream I’ve had by far, same sentiment shared by my partner. I had the cherry ice cream and she had the pomegranate sorbet.

17€ for the two portions was, in my opinion, a fair amount. I would definitely go back.

Delicious meal! Big portion. Good value! I love the boiled green leave, salad, and the grilled pork belly! It’s so juicy! We ordered 3 appetizers(€5-6 per dish) & 2 mains & 500ml rośe 😍€40 only.
They also give you a free dessert too!
Could have order one main less cos the portion is big!
Recommend to book or arrive before 7:30. Because lots of people were waiting outside when we leave and it was 8:30pm

Fantastic restaurant option, in the heart of town. Very nice, seaside platia and great, traditional Greek food. They do both grilled food and cooked meals very well. Today, the Epineo salad and stuffed cabbage leaves were outstanding (as was the grilled food). And the staff is very friendly and attentive. Will continue to visit here regularly on my visits to Tinos .

Good mix between restaurant and taverna, nice atmosphere, waiters are so punctual, excellent food, generous portions. They offer a little dessert after meal.

Best food from Heraklion. All the food was fresh and cooked after order.
We had spaghetti with sea food, sardines with fresh potatoes, mix grilled with meat(without lamb).
And about tzatziky - best from Greece! 😁
I recomand you to eat here!

Absolutely delicious food and great hosts. The meatball appetizer was magic. The goat and the artichoke pie were also amazing. Great ambience too! Highly recommended.
