Was here tonight. Very much mislead by the website. The food was beautiful. The service was first rate. But the ambience was laughable. The website gave the impression of an intimate, french bistro, buzzy café bar thing. We were seated in the attic, which was frankly awful. I'd have have sooner dined at home. Zero ambience. Literally felt like spending the night in your mate's spare room. Very disappointed and not impressed at all this wasn't made clear in advance.
Regardless, the food was exceptional. The service cannot be faulted. Tipped well for that. But the seating was awful. Hard to judge overall. Needless to say, not being downstairs was a tremendous loss. It was very underwhelming being up in the attic. The website should reflect that you might well end up there. For that reason I wouldn't recommend booking unless you get an assurance you'll get a seat in the main restaurant. It's fairly grim and depressing upstairs!

Lovely French bistro in a little corner on the outskirts of tourist area. Service was great and staff was friendly, atmosphere and mood was charming. Food was good. In France it would be 3+ but for outside France i will give it 4/5. Still a nice find and I will go back. The magret de canard was delicious, doesn’t need the sauce. Was a little disappointed with the escargot, not bad, but not great. Creme brulee was spot on. I saw many ordering the French Onion soup which probably would have been better than the escargot. Despite the very minor critiques, chez max is a nice find and I would highly recommend it.
The sandwiches were all very delicious, we didn’t have to wait long until they were all done (6 people in total) and the staff was very kind. The chairs and tables outside could be more comfy and bigger but I guess it’s mainly made for take away anyways.

My partner and I moved from Italy to Dublin last year and this was one of the best pizza in town.

We had such a great time at I Monelli! The place has a really cozy vibe that just makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. We tried the homemade pasta, and it was delicious—clearly made with a lot of care. The ice cream was the perfect way to wrap up the meal, super creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. And the cocktails? Absolutely spot on!
Everyone working there was super friendly too, making the whole evening even better. It’s really nice to find a spot where it feels like the staff cares not just about the food, but also about making sure everyone has a good time.
Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the mood for some genuine Italian in Dublin.

Don't know if I went into this with high hopes, but was expecting much better.
Little to no taste from the fillings, all I could get was a taste of butter and grease. Had to go get something else afterwards to get the taste out of my mouth.
The staff was very nice and friendly, and I wasn't waiting long for the sandwich.

Yum amazing wagyu sangas and veggie option too! Delicious fresh and so quick. Reasonably priced too!
Food was great! Lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff, but i think should be more awareness for details like we had to ask for bread and napkins.
Had the Hambo, decent sandwich. Although the bread becomes soggy quickly so eat fast. I can see why it's popular.

Went here to finish Dine in Dublin vouchers we had. Risked eating outside in rather grey conditions but enjoyed the atmosphere and people-watching.
Had the set lunch 2 course menu. My partner enjoyed the cauliflower soup and I had the Parma Ham and Mozarella. The latter had particularly good flavours.
Then for mains I had the cauliflower steak and she had the mussels. Mussels hit the spot and weren't too salty. Cauliflower steak was a delicious, spicy flavour and a unique offering to the menu. But bizarrely was the only item on the menu to require purchasing a side with it. Given how inexpensive the vegetarian ingredients are, it was disappointing to be charged more.
At that price (€80 for 2 course lunch for 2 of us) with a 12.5% service charge and expensive drinks, we won't be back, but we did enjoy all aspects of our meal.

Samuel was fantastic as our waiter. Food was on point. Owner of the restaurant was so friendly and polite. Really fresh product and would recommend.
Great little sandwich shop tucked away among some offices. The beef sandwich was good, but the bbq chicken sandwich was even better. Tasted like a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner in between bread!
Don't know from where the positive ratings do come from!? It took almost 15min before someone came to take my order. I had a drink, starter and main course which came after another 40min... except the drink which I had to remind them and then was brought after I was half through my meal.

Very nice service and the food is 10/10. The portions are large and the ingredients have been homemade not prep frozen meal. Great for a group of people, they brought all the food together.
We had and always have such a wonderful meal when we eat here. The presentation, delicious food and friendly staff always make it such an enjoyable occasion. Well worth eating here.
Cute little cafe on Montague Street serving fabulous toasties and breakfast options. Their cappuccino is great too along with a huge array of other kinds of drinks. Service was prompt and efficient and the atmosphere was laid back and chill. We will definitely call again.
Simply put… wow! I’m an Irish American exploring my home country for the first and was walking around Temple Bar looking for coffee when I came across this grilled cheese store. A lovely lady (who I found out later is the manager) made us the most amazing coffee we’ve ever had. The other staff member was also very friendly, guy with an epic moustache. Totally gonna come back to Europe for her coffee again

I normally leave good reviews for places but I was very disappointed with Bia tonight always order from them never an issue but tonight couldn't even eat it. I ordered pasta carbonara have had it before loved it but tonight it came with no sauce just pasta with loads of oil and bacon. My husband got a chicken curry and chips loads of chips came when he opened the container it was half full. It looked like brown water there was no smell of curry off it and it was packed with peas and Carrots by the look of it it must of been frozen vegetables that turned the sauce to water. Also there was only one tiny piece of chicken. My husband tasted the sauce but it was flavourless just was like water. The whole two meals were inedible something we were looking forward too. I will now have to think twice about ordering again from Bia which is such a shame

Chez max is a very serene place to have a bite and escape the fuss of Dublin city. They have great service and coffee. The food is worth its price except the quiche (dish of the week or day) which was rather small to be a full filling lunch option. Three days later we came back this time I had a cafe gourmand for 9,50 euros and ly partner the croque madame. The croque madam is around 11 euros and is very tasty. The cafe gourmand was really nice although I did think the macaron and small chocolate tart were just fine. The crème brûlée on the other hand, amazing. Overall I would definitely recommend this place because of their fair pricing and calm setting. A bonus is the option to pick more pricy but very nice looking and smelling dishes. Just don’t forget they do make u pay a service fee around 4 euro’s!

This place is phenomenal! We saw it as we were walking to the Guinness store house. As we walked back when it just opened we were lucky enough to get a table without reservations. So glad we did. The service was impeccable. The staff were friendly and inviting. The manager was fantastic. The food compared to the service. I love the small atmosphere so cozy. Please, take your time to find this place. Definitely won't regret it.

Warmly welcomed on a busy Saturday afternoon. Given the finest seat in the house, apparently where the boss sits! We made ourselves at home and the excellent service ensured that we continued to feel like that from start to finish. The lunch menu is not convoluted so it's easy to decide and order without fuss. The gambas are recommended, so we had this and a starter salad that was fresh and substantial. Next we went for the chicken dish and fish (hake) and chips, a smaller offering on the plate, but tasty and delicious. Still room, so we went all in with a cheese board and creme brulee, a must in any French establishment. The biscotti with it was different, and welcomed. If one is to look for anything to improve, we could only suggest that the soft cheese be better...easy fix. Lots of high bar stool seating, which may not be for you, but worked well for us in this bistro-style set-up. Staff were wonderful and had fabulous energy and commitment. Good for families, seating down the back and or a friendly meet up- as it's so central and good value with the lunch/pre-theatre special. Tres bien.
Gorgeous little restaurant. French onion soup was the star of the show, absolutely beautiful 🤩 Boeuf bourguignon was nice, not spectacular. Cod was fab, really tasty! Only thing was, it was very oily. Almost floating in oil. Staff were really friendly and efficient. Would definitely return

I’m lucky enough to work right next to Tir and absolutely love it. The cafe is tucked away and feels like you’re in a cavern.
It’s clean and cool and the staff are so on the ball. They seem to work together really well and it’s a tight knit operation.
The food is consistently good and the mushroom soup is so delicious.
They deliver lunch to my office and everyone compliments the presentation and taste.

Such a lovely place. The food is so fresh and delicious. The service is very friendly and welcoming! I was solo and felt very welcome and taken care of.

We where really looking forward for our dinner here as heard so much. Booking was for 8:30pm. Unfortunately we felt rushed by the person taking our order from start. It felt like we were on a conveyor belt & he just wanted to be done / flip the table. Other staff were lovely.
Starters were ok mussel risotto / ox tail a bit dry / deviled egg bite size was nice The popadum was my favorite innovative twist. We shared a bottle of white wine. For mains we had cote de boeuf to share expected a real treat meat tender perfectly cooked but nothing extraordinary a lot of fat has to be cut out. Shnitzil was also nice but u can get it any cafe in Austria. We shared x1 cheese cake for x4 people. Bill arrived: 110pp+ !

Great napolitan pizza in the heart of rathmines ,rich in flavors and quality ingredients. Would recommend anyone to come and have try pizza in this lovely place.

Came here for dinner. It was a great meal. The ambience is very nice. The owner chatted us up, and he was so friendly and funny. We had the deviled eggs, bone marrow and sourdough, the night's special which was pork chops, the pork schnitzel, asparagus, and the choux bun and cheesecake. Everything was delicious. Recommend this place.
Walking past and took a spontaneous trip in to share a pizza and have a drink. Really nice staff, great pizza and will be back!
Best service and food of our trip. Only wish we'd gone sooner so we could go again! The staff recommended the Beef Cheek & Ox Tail House Roll (amazing) and the Chicken and Leek Pie (huge, also amazing). All around one of our favorite culinary experiences in Dublin.

We had THE BEST dining experience. This is a pub that turns into a restaurant at night. A VERY GOOD restaurant. The CockALeekie Pie and Bitterballen are must haves. Make a reservation days/weeks in advance. This place stays booked up, it’s so good.
The deviled egg with caviar was an absolute perfect bite. Loved the whipped mushroom butter with the sourdough bread. The Delmonico steak for two was 98 euros, so while the flavor was delicious, I wasn’t expecting one of the largest pieces to be 90% fat, only the tiniest piece was edible. I love rendered fat on steak and gladly ate the fatty bits on the other pieces, but those were steak with fat not fat with steak. It was served with a bearnaise sauce on the side which was irrelevant (maybe Irish people love that on their steak?). We couldn’t find a use for it. We tried dipping the chips in it, but ultimately had to ask for ketchup. The chips were nice and thick, but were undercooked and underwhelming. Roasted potatoes would have gone better, especially with the delectable roasted onions. The asparagus was fine, nothing special.

This restaurant was a recommendation near the meeting spot for the Viking Legacy Trail Tour. It did not disappoint. Service was lovely and my waitress was very friendly. Food was delicious - I finished it all and normally that’s a feat! And the coffee was superb, wish I could have tried dessert. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with fine French cuisine, I didn’t know what to expect as I randomly walked in, but it did not disappoint!
Went for dinner and had a great time. The vibe is special and is completed by the presence of of a french speaking server that made the experience so much better. Food tasted great, the cocktails were a bit pricey but good. Overall great experience. It is a smaller place and tables are close to each other but that did not bother us.
Hadn't bean here in a while, my son suggested we go have lunch in bias and so we did, walked in, was seated to an almost empty restaurant ordered chicken gaugeans chips and I ordered black bean stir-fry with beef and small bowl of chips with 2 soft drinks. Waited no longer than 10 minutes and the food was brought, the lady serving was pleasent and welcoming but the stir-fry was absolutely disgusting and tasteless not much beef in it ,the rice was stuck together and morso like microwaved porridge , couldn't eat it just ate the chips and left the rice behind, was charged €32.00 although I had told the waitress of the issue , she proceeded to charge the full amount and smiled it off, I'm hoping this is a once off but either ways I will not be dinning at this venue in the future as of today ,total dissapointment👎
We’re in the restaurant now & couldn’t wait to leave my 5-star review after. We loved everything here. The steak was charcoal grilled which added to the quality. Dessert was new to me & super delicious.

Food was great, i really loved the interior of the restaraunt. Overall had a great time, but one thing to note is that our main courses took quite a long time to arrive, and we found quite a lot of the dishes to be quite salty

As a person who always prefers a brunch catch-up with friends, I must say, this spot was truly a gem! We tried their spicy cajun toast and pesto chicken toast, which were both cheesy and yummy at the time. We also tried their hot chocolate and chai latte. Was a little disappointed with the chai latte, as it was super sweet and inspite of ordering a large, got it in a regular mug. Wouldn't recommend the chai latte. The ambience was amazing, as it wasnt too busy when we went in around 1 30pm, and did not have a reservation too. Budget friendly as well 😉
Walk in, order at the counter, you're given a number, go grab a seat and wait to be served. Seats are available upstairs too. My Cajun toastie came piping hot and well melted. Loved it, it wasn't too spicy and their juices are also quite healthy (though the green one is a bit apple sweet). There's plenty of food in one toastie to fill your stomach and I preferred it to Griolladh. I would improve cleaning standards and I'll serve or place napkins on tables, eating those toasties is a dirty business. Came back with a friend and you can now find napkins on all tables! That's what I call putting words into action, thank you!!

Toasties and coffee are so delicious and the decoration is amazing (the toilet walls are super cool haha) Definitely an instagrammable place to go for a perfect brunch. I can easily see myself going each week and trying the whole menu 😋🤤
I have to say that it went over our expectations. A few hours after our arrival in Dublin we went there for dinner and were sat at the counter. We couldn’t ask for more. The staff is extremely friendly and so is the owner. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. A unique experience overall. I wish we stayed longer in Dublin to pop there again. Definitely recommended!

This is one of the best Pizza 🍕 i had in Dublin. The pizza sauce and toppings are amazing. Also got a hot honey on my pizza and it was amazing. Also, their burrata cheese was something delicious 😋. This is a must visit pizza restaurant for anyone who wants to try Italian style pizza 🍕 😋.
Lovely food. Soup was nice, soft and with a fresh aftertaste thanks to the Basil. The chicken burrito superb, very cheesy loaded, it did not disappoint. And the Cajun chicken toast, simply delicious, the sauce is just amazing if you like spicy.

We always go here to meet up for chats and it’s amazing. The food is gorgeous and they always accommodate for the picky eaters. Staff are lovely and always chatty just a bit of a wait sometimes but that’s okay - it happens.
Such a shame.. we have been there several time but hadnt been in a few months. Such a different experience this time. No taste to prawns, even leaving nearly a full plate did anyone ask is everything ok. 6 people in the restaurant and still have to go up to the bar and ask for a drink. Absolutely so disappointed. Wont be back. Maybe it was just a bad day as peeviously it was good.
I stopped by Melt Down in the morning, grabbed a toastie and coffee, and it turned out to be a tasty breakfast! They offer a diverse menu, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and an overall nice atmosphere. Will definitely come again!

On the downside, a bottle of water was €6 for a 700ml and there is a service fee of 12.5% added to the bill. We always leave a tip but find it annoying that the service fee was added directly to the bill already.
Despite the 2 negatives above, we would definitely return as the food was great and our server was very nice too.

Absolute gem to find. We went for breakfast. As a celiac I am always careful and never assume that staff or kitchen may be up to date on a celiac menu or requirements. I was so impressed by this establishmenme back the next day to try the evening menu. The efficiency, knowledge and consideration was second to none. The food was on both occasions was excellent as was the service and friendly staff. We will most definitely becoming regulars here.
Seen this as highly recommended on socials and thought I'd give it a go. Turkey, creamy pesto, fresh leaves and rustic tomato mix, second was a beef, aoli, slaw and leaves. Best toasted sandwich I have had in a while!!

Great toasties, served fresh and hot with amazing flavours. We got the Mac Mama and Cajun Chicken Toasty. Simply loved it. The service is super quick and the staff is really friendly. Ooh. And coffee was great too.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try Lockandbrew and I was very impressed. For the main course, I ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and a peppercorn sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious.
What impressed me the most was the kindness of the head chef, Dime. He came to my table to greet me and give me details about the dish. He told me that the steak was from a local farm and that the sauce was made with fresh peppers.

One of the best toast restaurants in dublin for me. Their vegetarian toasts are a must try. In toppings my favorite are sweet chutney, red onions and crisps. Toasts here are external delicious and full of flavor 😋
Lovely little spot. Went here for the first time today after seeing a lot of great stuff online about them. I got the regular breakfast with Tea and Toast and have to say it was well worth the money. They give a large pot of tea and toast with the breakfast which you don't really see anymore. The breakfast itself was really tasty. High quality food used. The staff where very friendly and helpful, and there was no wait time for a table. If I was to say one bad thing about the place is that all the TV's had football on at 9:30 in the morning. I probably wouldn't go here to watch a match and think it takes away from the nice atmosphere of the place. Other than that it's a great location. Thank you.
I love this place. It was intimate, in a cool neighborhood, and the staff were great. They have brick oven pizza. The food was very good and flavorful and their rosé was good. The only thing I didn’t like was that the burrata was difficult to eat but it tasted good. It would have been easier if the bread was separate and sliced. If I come back to Dublin, I’d definitely come back here.
Great spot for lunch. Had the beef sandwich and was top notch. Generous portion and well thought out. Nice to have a few simple options on the menu. Reminded me a bit of a deli in new york. Probably the best sandwich I've had in Ireland. Long queue was understandable and just due to the popularity.. the service is quick and friendly. Will be back. Have tried nihari, haleem, karahi, and pizzas and kebabs, and everything is top notch. And I can easily say it's the best Nihari in Dublin.
I definitely recommend this place! The pizza is amazing, the dough is very light and easy to digest, we got a 4 cheese and a Margherita, tomato sauce they use is tasty and fresh, please do not change the ingredients as they are amazing! Definitely will be back here ☝🏻
We came here for breakfast and it was pretty good. The coffee was good and the breakfast was good too. Service was pretty fast. Didn't try the pizzas or the drinks but we were happy with our meals.
Delicious halal food. We had chicken karahi ,mango lassi and chicken crispy which came along with fried rice , delicious. Would definitely recommend this place for some Indian Pakistani food.After visiting here ,I also ordered from their website chicken biryani and Malai chicken which was very tasty ,just chicken biryani was not very best as you get much delicious biryani at other places in Dublin.
Great place. Been here countless times. The food is delectable. At times food preparation takes what feels too long but in the end, you get what you ordered and it's hot and fresh.

4 of us enjoyed breakfast here. No-one was disappointed with anything. Our meal was substantial and tasted great. White pudding was delicious and I would love to know where they get it as we visit family in the area a few times a year. It would be nice to take some home to England to enjoy. Personally I would have liked more chili in the chili avocado on toast but that's likely down to my personal taste Vs what others enjoy but it still tasted good and the avocado was perfectly ripe.
A lovely little spot, a complete surprise from the blank exterior. Inside opens to a nice cozy space with ample tables and a nice sofa area in the back for larger groups. The menu covers all the bases and the food quality is top-notch. The staff were very pleasant and happy to help. Caters well to young children also. Nice plesent atmosphere with tvs showing sport (at time of visit) but with no sound. Which is my personal preference when in a place where you want to chat or in my case tell the kids to sit down for the 100th time. Very reasonably priced for a table of 4. A must-visit if you are in the area. I will definitely be back to Try more of the menu.

Lovely meal at a great price. The burger was delicious but it was a tad too juicy. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The place was extremely clean and very busy. It’s a great place to get lunch or dinner with plenty of food including burgers, pasta and stir fry.
