Unfortunately not the experience I had expected. The food was presented beautifully but the taste was quite disappointing. Seabass is served in a way that tries to preserve the taste of the fish (which is great) but the sauce was not giving any balance and the use of herbs amplified the strong smell of the fish which was not pleasant at all. Potatoes that were served along the lamb sirloin were covered in oil which ruined the flavor. The lamb sirloin was decent but given the pricing and the how the restaurant is presented I had much higher expectations. Staff was kind and I appreciated them asking for feedback given we didn’t finish most the food we got served. Hopefully they will listen!

Came here for my hubby’s bday dinner and was not disappointed by the food, service or atmosphere.
We really enjoyed everything about our meal. It was cooked well, the service was attentive and friendly, my husband was happy with the filet steak and he ordered an Old Fashion and I had a por* ⭐️ martini with my leek and mushrooms pie and I can’t fault any of the food or service. The strawberry amd peach trifle was nice and light. The decor was lovely and they had some beautiful purple calathea adoring the large brass and gold planters out front. Bathrooms were stocked and clean. The bar upstairs had a lovely bartender who could make any drink you wanted. We will definitely be back with friends.
Went to their bar upstairs. Great experience, staff were friendly. It wasn't too crowded or too loud. Seating feels comfortable like you're sitting at a cafe instead of a bar. Great selection of cocktails too.

Huge menu, great atmosphere and lovely staff. Sophie looked after us and she is a credit to the place! It was a "tad" loud music wise but that's OK. Cocktails are delicious, try them all!

Highlight : Chicken Caesar Salad and my dad's face at the Beast Burger!

Stumbled in at 9pm and was seated straight away despite it being quite busy! The Sangria was delicious and so were the garlic patatas bravaas. Tried the ham croquettes, the sliders and the spicy bravaas and wasn’t much of a fan. Maybe need to branch out and try other bits but loved the ambience in here and the music

This is the right place to have late dinner, cozy vibes and there’re heaters outside. Food is also good, always love a Sangria. But the price is a bit high relatively. May have other better options regarding tapas.

Unique ambience with great service. Maybe the food was not of my type. Huge variety of options to choose, maybe they can design the menu card a bit easier which describes more.

Highly recommend the Monread for a really nice place to go for a meal out. I booked a table for 8 people and our table was ready when we arrived, the food came out really fast, everything was delicious. For my main, I had the Chicken Caesar Salad, and it was tasty. I will return at the first opportunity I get.

Feels that things have taken a dip in quality here since my last visit. The food was very average. The huevos rancheros were bland and served in a very small dish. The hash was ok but for the price you would expect better and certainly not for it to be served with stale undertoasted bread. Service was ok except everyone was sat crammed together in the same small area of the restaurant while there was a lot of space available elsewhere. The unmentioned automatic 10% service charge on a bill for 2 people was very cheeky too.

The wait time is just brutal. Waited 40 min for a Sunday lunch to be served. All I was offered was water. The Sunday roast I got wasn't worth the wait and half of it was just fat. Sadly it was my second and last time in this place - they don't seem to improve.

Staff isn't any close to being considered professional. I also question the hygiene aspect of this place.

Really good brunch food and coffee. Homely feel and staff are lovely. Love the little shop. Prices do let it down a small bit, the Eton Mess is tasty but meringue and a few berries for €8 is a lot. There was also a leak from the ceiling where we were sitting (beside the window). Didn’t affect me but when I alerted one of the staff he said it was just a bit of rain from the window being open, even though it was coming from the ceiling? Found it pretty odd. It’s an old building so I’m sure there are damp issues, hopefully fixed now.
Everything was delicious, the service and atmosphere are great and cozy.

For 3 people we spent around 153€ euros
3 main dishes and 2 desserts + one non alcoholic drink and one starter.

In the heart of Naas. We booked online for a birthday.

I looked at the pictures in the gallery on the website and I thought it will be a nice fancy restaurant for dinner. However the food is expensive for what you got and looked really unappealing (see photos), and this wasn’t what I expected. I came here because I thought the food will have nice presentation (so I can post some nice pictures on instagram). 4 scallops for €16 and the dessert (brown cake) tasted like a mug cake that I made last time (which was a failed experience). The pork I had tasted like a piece of dirty pork, it has a ‘porky’ taste. I have never had any pork tasted like that in Ireland. The triple cooked chips honestly, were the nicest.

We got lucky and managed to get a last table for 2 as walk in’s and we were so happy we did. We ordered a selection of small plates to share with a lovely bottle of red. This place has a real cosy feel with a great atmosphere, the staff were amazing and gave us super recommendations. We were about to leave and spotted the crème brûlée and so glad we got to enjoy it.
We look forward to going back soon and will make sure we book before we go as it’s a busy intimate space.

Prior to visiting Locks, I was really looking forward to indulging in fine seasonal Irish food with some friends I brought along! However, my recent visit left me with a mixed impression. While the menu offered unique options and seasonal items and looked beautiful, the food arrived tepid & under-seasoned, falling short of expectations of warmth & depth of flavour.

Lastly, while the ambiance was pleasant, I was anticipating a level of hospitality and warmth that extended beyond mere formality by staff members.

Although this surprised me for such an establishment, I’m hopeful that Locks can use the experience as an opportunity for growth with their commitment to natural and seasonal flavours.

Such a beautiful location it was a shame we didn’t enjoy our meal. It was a set menu of €49 which is fine but think it would be great to have a choice of 2 courses instead of having all 3 - The cheese was an additional €8 which I’m not sure why as there is no prep needed and bread was an additional €5.
The food all looked beautiful but not to our taste. Crab starter was cold dressed crab with warm bisque and the potatoes for the main dish of pork just were soggy and felt old.
Dessert was great!
Would be lovely to see a more approachable menu - we both struggled to pick anything off the menu which is rare for us. Overall there was a lot of staff on for a small number of guests and our glasses were constantly empty and the food looked beautiful but just odd flavour and texture combination. Left very dissatisfied.

Describing the dining experience at The Port House is a bit of a mixed bag. While there were highlights like the delightful Haddock with veg, the overall impression was hindered by inconsistency. The prawns, unfortunately, fell short with a greasy and bland taste, and the piri piri Chicken wings failed to leave a lasting impression. Among the sauces provided, only the garlic mayo managed to shine, Sangria tasted nice, but again, just average nice.
Service was satisfactory, but nothing exceptional. The ambiance initially seemed promising, but the strong scent of cigarettes at the entrance was unpleasant and hardly welcoming. To make matters worse, encountering dirty ashtrays inside the restaurant was a glaring oversight that detracted from the overall dining experience. Dirty ashtrays were stored to the left side just after entering the restaurant, which was surprising and concerning as it was inside the guests area. This detracted significantly from the overall ambiance and cleanliness of the establishment. Very unlikely we will be coming back.

We went here twice just a few days apart, excited to try the new menu we were told about. First experience was amazing food wise. The only beef option was a braised beef which was beautifully cooked. The second time we noticed all prices have risen. A two course menu now is 37€, with a 3€ supplement for the cheese board and €9 supplement for the only beef option- a sirloin steak 10oz that comes with just some fries. So that is €49 for two very basic dishes. I don’t mind the price change since that’s what everyone is doing, but the drop in quality vs price isn’t justified. Service was decent with sometimes distracted staff even if the place wasn’t half full yet. The other options were chicken, fish and something vegan. Not a lot of variety.

Excellent burgers, big choice, affordable prices. Delivery only with the app just eat
Always great food, size and price just one thing sometimes takes to the waitress to take the order, but apart from that place, environment is very nice and cozy. Also a plus for the non-alcoholic drinks 😊

Great service. The waitresses are very attentive. Very nice food, nachos to share and I had sizzling teriyaki prawn with rice& chips. Couldn't fault it just find portions are quite big. Ordered non alcoholic cocktails, each one was nicer than the next. Their menu caters for a lot of requirements. Would recommend.

As always we had a lovely evening in Bouchon. There were 8 of us dining with two of us being vegan. The choices we receive from this non-vegan restaurant are predominantly better than the majority of vegan only restaurants we visit, just give them some notice of your visit and you get your own personalised vegan menu on arrival with plenty of options, a nice touch that you would not get in most places also. The rest of our group left empty plates and a few different cocktails were tried also and were delicious.

Always ended up here whenever I or my friends want tapas.
As it’s easy to book online, the foods are really good, great ambience to dine in or even for celebration or dates.

My all time favorite menus are Frango piri-piri, Calamares, Tortilla de Espanola, Gambas al ajillo, sangria and crema catalana.

I ordered off of Uber eats today and was waiting over 2 hours! The number for subway that’s listen does not work and it’s not even a number anymore. How are we meant to resolve this issue with no phone number? It’s disgraceful. I’m never ordering again.

I've eaten here a few times and have always thoroughly enjoyed myself. It's quirky decor and excellent food usually provide a great dining experience and I would usually and probably still will highly recommend it. So we thought it would be a great place to bring our French guests. Booking was for 7.30 on a Saturday. There, was a slight delay being seated as they were very busy and I would not usually mention it as I have been the cause of such delays on occasion BUT the first plate of food did not hit our table until after 9. In a tapas / pinchos type restaurant where food can often be delivered in minutes this was beyond my experience and painfully embarrassing in the company. To be fair the manager did make concessions in the bill which was appreciated and the removed service charge was returned in the payment as the staff, I felt, were doing there best in difficult circumstances. This was a lovely experience seriously tarnished. Please take fewer bookings or hire more staff

Look at double lettuce 🫡🙌😔 this is the 3rd so leaving a review you guys deserve. Repeatedly staff will try to save money by being like rhis to toppings and ruining the whole subway sandwich. Ask for extra money but make the proper sandwich. Forced to stop eating here
Really nice food, and nice staff. The venue decor is quirky. Also, love that it’s very pro LGBTQ+, and dog friendly. I got French toast, which was lovely. It is however overpriced there. My partner’s order was €17 for a cup of soup and sandwich that has an auto 10% service charge for basic lunch service is too much. Unless it’s a 5 star restaurant and service, €18.70 is far too expensive for a cup of soup and a sambo.

Went for lunch on a weekday and it was calm and relaxed, with smiling and friendly staff. The food was delicious and the portions extremely generous. The cocktail menu was impressive and they all looked like decadent desserts. We left the place feeling we wouldn’t be able to eat for another 3 days, but that was on us who chose our dishes and went for desserts based on good they sounded - always ask for the size first!

I had the Do Falafel way wrap and it was super delicious. Loved every bite of that.
Gorgeous restaurant- have been for lunch previously & for drinks & dessert another time. Garlic herby chips are unreal as was the Eton mess. Service super friendly & lovely environment. Drinks prices are high but no more than anywhere else, felt chips & dessert good value.
A really nice dining experience to be had. Food was excellent and staff are very attentive. The craft beer was super but the white wine list in my opinion is just ok. The red wine menu will be tried next visit. Overall an amazing dinner with with a slight room to improve but no doubt they will achieve better and better.

How was my experience you ask ?

That is a simple question with an even simpler answer.

Amazing.

The staff ( in particular James ) were friendly and could not do more for me . They offered me lots of additional extras however I could not afford them so a basic 6 inch was good enough for me.

This subway is great as it’s on route to my campsite hills home park.

Ordered through the QiQ app which I love and have never had any issue with but the food I ordered from Subway Newbridge is nothing like what I received. The salad was missing 3 of the ingredients I chose and the dressing, and the cookies were the wrong ones. So unimpressed and when I tried calling the pone just rang out. So if you are going to get food from here make sure you are there in person to oversee it.

O’Falafel simply has the best falafel that I’ve ever tried. Also the chicken and the halloumi are amazing. You should try! And it is inexpensive as well.

(Edit: O Falafel has closed. Now, this Restaurant has a different name, Do Falafel. I tried it and it is not tasty and just standard. The staff seems approachable but I won't recommend it)

Okay food: poached eggs a bit hard to my liking, and the meat was cooked too plainly (I had the signature Hash dish).
Decent coffee, nothing to write home about.
Service is kind and fast! Too bad though they had a mix up (one dish came out late).
Price is what one would expect this part of town.

I'll probably come again, but hope to have better food.
