Ok place but very small. Don't know if it's made now
Even though it was humid I loved every minute spent here. Greenery waterfall fountains ducks peacocks history parks trees flowers n what not. In winters this place would be WOW The cafe also looked good. It was closed early morning vibes of this place is just too good.qutab minar in background tombs n baolis rose garden boat house OMG couldn’t see everything properly because heat and humidity forced us to leave.
Situated right beside the Qutub Minar Complex, this is a huge site housing a number of historic buildings and ancient ruins. It is relatively uncrowded or rather empty when you compare it with other monuments and historically important places in delhi. Certainly a great place for your early morning walks!

Purana Qila, located in Delhi, is a historic fortress with a rich past. Its impressive architecture and sprawling grounds make it a fascinating site to explore. Visitors can wander through its ancient walls, marvel at its intricate design, and learn about its significance in Indian history. The fort also hosts light and sound shows, adding to its allure. However, some parts may be in need of maintenance, detracting slightly from the experience. Overall, Purana Qila offers a glimpse into India's storied past and is worth a visit for history enthusiasts and tourists alike.

This fort is not only the oldest fort among all forts in Delhi, but the oldest known structure of any type in Delhi. Located at the site of legendary city of Indraprastha, the fort was founded by Pandavas on the banks of perineal river Yamuna, which is revered by Hindus since ages. Fort is more than 5000 years old, and was constructed before the 'Mahabharata' took place.
Vast green 117 acre span garden. It has some ruins and Ali kuli khan tomb. Good place to spend some time with friends. Peaceful place. Less crowded. It’s a good place to visit. There are others attractions such as Raja ki baoli and cafe and rose garden. Pond is not clean water is smelly and green. Qutub minar is visible from its green park. To visit tomb area ticket required of 30 rs per person.

Good fort kind of structure in delhi right next to delhi zoo. Very calm and not so crowded during week days. It is maintained well.Purana Qila is a fort complex thats thought to have been in use in various guises since the 5th century BC and possibly even mentioned in the Indian epic, Mahabharata. The most interesting buildings in the complex are the Qila-i-Kuhna Mosque, Sher Mandal and the museum.

Definitely worth visiting when in Delhi, give yourself a couple of hours to see everything.

I recently visited Mehrauli Archaeological Park in Delhi, and let me tell you, it was absolutely fascinating! The park is a treasure trove of historical sites and ancient ruins. As I explored the park, I was in awe of the rich history and architectural beauty that surrounded me. From the majestic Qutub Minar to the intricate carvings of the Tomb of Balban, every corner had something unique to offer. The park also offers a serene and peaceful environment, making it a perfect escape from the bustling city. If you're a history enthusiast or simply love exploring hidden gems, I highly recommend visiting Mehrauli Archaeological Park. The nearest metro is Qutub Minar. You won't be disappointed! 🏰🌳

I am giving this place a 5 star rating because it is one of the less explored forts in Delhi, also a beautiful view with a lot of greeneries.
Canteen is also available for your favourite dish.
You can travel with your family and have one of the best weekends over there.
Had a fun afternoon exploring the ruins of the Mehrauli Archaeological Park with friends. It's a fantastic spot for anyone interested in Delhi's rich history. We wandered through the ancient tombs and stepwells, really getting a sense of the city's past.

The park is also surprisingly peaceful, with plenty of space to spread out for a picnic or just relax on the grass. It's a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Delhi.

However, it would be nice if the park had a bit better upkeep. Some areas felt a little overgrown, and a few signs with more information about the monuments would have been helpful.

Overall, I definitely recommend the Mehrauli Archaeological Park. It's a fascinating place to explore, and a great way to spend a relaxing afternoon. Just be prepared for some light adventuring!

Place is huge and beautiful. Few of the buildings are still intact and in good condition but some of the buildings have just turned in to ruins. The whole complex is nicely garnered and kept clean.
But the only thing i didn't like about the management is that they allow people to make the walls dirty of the fortress.
Even inside the walls of the mosque names of the people has written which gives kinda bad impressions.
If i talk about the ticket prices, ticket costed us rupees 50, which had inclusion of museums and other galleries.

Mahakali Caves offers a captivating blend of history, spirituality, and natural beauty, making it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts, architecture buffs, and spiritual seekers alike. Whether you're exploring the intricacies of Cave 9 or simply soaking in the tranquil ambiance of the surrounding landscape, a visit to Mahakali Caves promises an enriching and memorable experience.
A hidden gem in Delhi, right next to the Qutb Minar complex.
Ample parking space, and fast becoming a popular spot for all those who like to walk around historical places.
Wear comfortable shoes, carry water and food for a day out. Plenty of monuments to explore in this place.
Only one spot is ticketed... Priced at INR 30 ...very reasonable.
This was the most incredibly awesome experience. We walked up and down the ruins, for miles and miles.. Without getting tired at all. Some parts are well maintained, others desperately need to be kept viable. This is a treasure house of history, where the broken forts, tombs, walls call out to the visitors. The wind suddenly blows and whispers tales of valour, of glory, of intrigues and plots..

The government needs to put aside more funds and detail experts to maintain the structures.

Some of the tombs and other priceless structures require desperate renovation.

A good place to spend sometime with friends. However, many spots aren't allowed to enter for visitors. There's not much to see here just some old buildings but it has very large area and you can relax in the park .

Nestled within the bustling cityscape of Mumbai, the Mahakali Caves stand as a serene testament to ancient rock-cut architecture and spiritual sanctity. Dating back to the 1st century BCE, these caves offer a tranquil escape, providing visitors with a glimpse into Mumbai's historical and cultural roots.

The intricately carved cave complexes, dedicated primarily to Buddhist worship, feature beautifully adorned stupas, sculptures, and prayer halls. The architecture reflects a harmonious blend of various influences, showcasing the creative and artistic achievements of ancient craftsmen.

The peaceful ambiance within the caves, away from the city's hustle and bustle, creates a stark yet welcome contrast. Visitors can explore the caves at their own pace, immersing themselves in the historical significance and spiritual aura that permeates the site.

While Mahakali Caves may not boast the grandeur of some larger cave complexes in India, its accessibility within the heart of Mumbai makes it a hidden gem for those seeking a moment of tranquility amid the urban chaos. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply in search of a peaceful retreat, Mahakali Caves offers a unique and enriching experience.

An ancient rock cut caves located on a hillock   in Andheri. These caves are one of the oldest in Mumbai and is under the ASI. Earlier known as Kondivita Caves, these caves are visited by Indian and foreign tourists. There are 19 rock cut caves carved out of a solid basalt rock. There is a small garden in front of the caves. One can get views of the surrounding area on top of the hill. Earlier, there was no entrance fee. Now, the entrance fees are Rs. 20 per Indian and Rs. 300 per foreigner. One has to fill the form and pay the fees online upfront. These caves are open from 9 am to 5 pm everyday. There are mobile toilets and small wash basin installed in the vicinity. Had visited these caves, admired the rock cut sculptures and saw the water cisterns cover with leaves on top of the hill. These caves are an ideal place for families as well as history lovers. It is a must visit and should not be missed.
Beautiful place. The place has been renovated very nicely. There are nominal entry fees to keep maintaining the property. One can do a picnic in the gardens. The Metcalfe Guest House and the Dome looks beautiful and renovated nicely. The water bodies are not very clean but work in progress and they are soon going to start boating also. The newly opened Stone Cafe has good food and lovely open space to sit. It is a great place for couples, families and friends. Must visit on your list. If you are a jogger u can get a monthly pass for jogging or walking inside the park. It has an amazing view with Qutab Minar at the backdrop.

Arvalem caves are popularly known as Pandav caves as pandavs took shelter here during their exile. They are located near sanquelim village, around 1.3 kms from arvalem falls. Caves are simple yet very appealing. The rudreshwar temple and waterfall lying in close proximity make the caves very popular among tourists.
There are 5 compartments in the cave complex, and the middle one enshrines the shivalinga held in great reverence by the devotees
A must visit place, an unconventional place to go when in Goa.

Hello All Lovers of Goa and Lovers for Travel and Hungry for knowledge,

The Arvalem Caves are popularly known as ''Pandava Caves''. According to the history, the five Pandavas of the epic Mahabharata sought refuge in these caves during their exile. The Arvalem Caves are very much patterned in the Buddhist cave style. The architecture of the caves is simple yet appealing. The walls are plain with no paintings on them. The rock structure has been cut into laterite stone, with the sanctuary at the northern end and the vihara at the southern end. The mysterious look of the caves has been attracting the tourists over long years. The presence of the famous Rudreshwar temple and a waterfall in its vicinity, makes this place a must visit in Goa.

There are five compartments in the cave complex and the middle compartment enshrines the 'linga' held in great reverence by devotees. The shafts of the four crafted lingas are very similar to those that can be found in Elephanta, Ajanta and Ellora caves in Maharashtra. The Shivalinga in the second cave is engraved with an inscription written in Sanskrit and Brahmi characters of the 7th century. The Shivalinga and the inscription are assigned to the period of the Bhoja King Kapalivarman. The complex consists of two major caves and a residential chamber.

Nearby tourist spots are Arvalem Water Falls (1.3 kms) and St. John of The Cross, Sanquelim(2.2 kms).

It is opencaves so you can visit any time. Preferably day time to get full view of inside shivlinga at the caves.

Do visit the caves to get the aura of the PANDAVA KAAL caves...

On my journey to the caves I have clicked the moments in my camera and I am sharing those with this review so that you can have a look at them and get idea about the place.

Please press the LIKE Button to my review. Thank you for you precious time.

The caves is very small and nice.actually, it is just like a rock temple and not the cave. If you have ample of time then you can plan for the same. There is a waterfall near by and i feel that is a artificial fall. The falls is not much great but you can visit once for caves and falls.

History spanning centuries bang in the middle of the city. One of the Oldest known forts in India right next to one of the oldest known temples.

Peak Delhi.

An ideal place for early morning walks, deep conversations, sometimes just for perspective on life. Also has a decent museum for those interested.

Also next to it is the Zoo- an idea of a place where the uncivilised lock the civilised in cages. Although if you want the real animals, they all have bungalows not too far away.
